You have the option to pay for unlimited rides or you can buy individual tickets for the rides you want. Since most of the rides would have made me vomit at this age, I was happy to pay $2.50 for a train ride around the lake. Jerry, the guy running the train, was fantastic! He really seems to love his job and his enthusiasm is contagious. I did think it was odd that on the list of rules as you line up to pay, it says no photos are allowed. BIZARRE. I guess they don't want any photos getting out of a ride that's about to break down? Clearly people were ignoring it, as who doesn't want photos of your kids having a blast on the rides! I'd like to take away some stars for all the balls I've lost on the course over the years, but, really I can't. That one's on me. Course stays in great shape, is well kept, offers some good challenge while staying very fair. Creek always seems harder than Babe, but I always shoot better back there - which is irrelevant to you, but know that there's some good challenge everywhere around Kennedy. Very large area for golf and golf…read more The parking lot is huge so there are plenty of spots. My friends and I were meeting up to play a new sport called footgolf. We used soccer balls and kicked them into larger sized golf holes. Just like in golf you want to keep the score low! They had us on the part three course so only nine holes. They were plenty of geese out, so just beware that your shoes and soccer ball will be covered in goose poo. You do need to check in at the clubhouse before you start. The guy was really nice and very helpful. He explained that when you enter your credit card online that it was just for holding the time. When you get to the clubhouse, each player can all pay for their own reservation. It was $14 per person and $4 per Ball rental. I don't think this new sport is for me, but I definitely had a great time trying it out.

It does get very crowded so I always suggest going earlier to beat the crowds. We bought our tickets in advance. We didn't have to wait in line and we just showed them to the greeters. When you first walk in, you can go left or right it just depends on what you wanna see first! There's always something new to explore and every time I think I've gone down a path another one pops up! One of my favorites was petting the stingrays :-) The overall of the zoo experience was just fun and I went with people who haven't been recently, so it was fun to see all of our reactions to the animals. However, the way that the zoo is set up, you can definitely see everything if you walk along the guided path that is laid out on the map. There are some divergent paths, but they all wrap around and lead you in the right direction. Just trust their system and you will naturally continue to go forward instead of doubling back. When we went, it was their 130 Years Celebration so there were several cute photo ops and displays. This zoo had several birds and animals that I haven't seen before, which made it more enjoyable. I mean, after visiting many zoos you become underwhelmed when you see giraffes, elephants, and/or tigers. There were some exhibits that had no animals, but it didn't take away from the experience because there are SO many other animals to view. My favorite exhibits were the penguins because I learned many interesting facts from one of the workers and orangutans because I just loved seeing them interact and slide around on the firehose. There were several stations where you are able to go inside and get more up close and personal with the birds. You can also touch stingrays! In addition, there are a handful of interactive elements inside the zoo, which made it more engaging for my boys. For example, you can take photos against bear silhouettes to see how you compare in height, you can jump to see how far you go compared to certain animals, and etc. The zoo does offer some other experiences that require additional payment, such as the Denver Zoo Railroad, riding a carousel, and Wild Explorer VR. We didn't pay for any of those activities and still had a fabulous time. I think we spent around 3-3.5 hours at the zoo and it was us going at a casual and leisurely pace. My boys were able to withstand the heat and sun fine. I appreciate that we were able to bring in water and snacks because it was absolutely necessary to keep us going!

There are a lot of instructions (so start sober-ha)! As a team, be ready to have a lot of communication and teamwork. Each room has its own task and each member is moving and working together.
