Very large area for golf and golf. The parking lot is huge so there are plenty of spots. My friends and I were meeting up to play a new sport called footgolf. We used soccer balls and kicked them into larger sized golf holes. Just like in golf you want to keep the score low! They had us on the part three course so only nine holes. They were plenty of geese out, so just beware that your shoes and soccer ball will be covered in goose poo. You do need to check in at the clubhouse before you start. The guy was really nice and very helpful. He explained that when you enter your credit card online that it was just for holding the time. When you get to the clubhouse, each player can all pay for their own reservation. It was $14 per person and $4 per Ball rental. I don't think this new sport is for me, but I definitely had a great time trying it out. read more

fire Stacy. It was my first time and as we were getting onto the course, asked if I had a club bag. When I responded no, she I was required to rent them or I could not play. When I said that I did have clubs, they were just in the bag of my friend, she continued to insist that I needed to rent clubs. I know many people who frequently borrow clubs and share clubs game to game, and I was not aware of this rule. Stacy also continued to bombard our group with constant questioning and comments towards us. We could not play smoothly because of Stacy's constant approaches. I liked the course and had a good time, but it was greatly hindered. read more

This place sucks, don't go. It's run by a bunch of old guys that don't know anything about how to run a golf course. You have to rent your own bag to play the course if you bring someone which makes 0 sense financially. Customer service sucks. read more

I overall enjoyed this course, however the guest service department really ruined my experience. I had brought out my friend to golf for the first time on a real course that is normally somewhat cheap. And the tee starter, Stacy, Bombarded my friend who didn't have a golf bag saying he was required to rent one to play a course. I have been to several golf courses and seen many people share clubs and bags with each other with no problem. Additionally, she continued to approach us on multiple holes telling us to hurry up and making snide remarks on our gameplay, despite the fact that we were waiting on the group ahead of us and had no one behind us. The course also had no water or restrooms along the course which makes for an unpleasant experience during the heat of the summer. I recommend other courses nearby that are significantly better. read more

There is a reason you will always find tee times at Kennedy golf course. People play unbelievably slow here. It took us 4 hours to finish our front 9 and because the staff told us we had to return our carts we couldn't finish our full 18. The service was subpar. I def had some issues with some of the staff. Only one dude in the pro shop was cool. read more

Kennedy is a great spot to learn. I play the par 3 whenever possible. The conditions are ok, the greens can be tough but overall it's not a bad little course. You need to bring enough water though. You're lucky if you see the beverage cart ever. The push carts have seen better days. Some of the carts can have a tricky break. They only have mats at the driving range. But overall I love coming here! Good value for what you pay. read more

We tend to play the Par 3, although short, is a great course and has its' challenges! ++ Staff is so friendly and there are TWO check in locations, alleviating the crowd, ability to check in and return the cart. ++ Prices are SO cheap - for real. Two people, par 3 AND cart is a mere $19/person!! Mini golf is even cheaper! ++ Restaurant and bathroom near the west check in, that boasts great drinks and food! Having driven past Kennedy Golf Course a million times; today (meaning a couple weeks ago now) I loaded up my clubs, stopped in, and hit up the driving range for a little mid-day solo practice. The folks in the pro shop were very helpful. The shop space is large, but seems a little vacant. The driving is pretty standard. There's mats and a covered area to swing from. Since I was out late in the season the range looked a little peaked. It is next to Hampden Avenue, but there's surprisingly little road noise. You can't beat $5 for 40 balls either! Not to mention it's not crowded at all for a little mid-week work-day range time. The mini golf course could def use some updating. With other fantastic mini golf courses in the area - I can say, while the price is nice, this is one I would pass by for sure. While I haven't been yet, I look forward to checking out the par three course sometime soon. They also offer night golf! That could be a fun experience. With cheap pricing, decent greens, and a lot of play options - Kennedy Golf Course will def be in my rotation of courses around the Denver Metro Area. read more

This review is based off of the overall place. They have maintenance two times during the week, the course is decent, however recently tree branches and leaves were all over the side fairways. With this being a city course, the cart cost was $20-$25. I would recommend playing on a private course if your looking to spend the same amount of cost at this particular city course. The staff is awesome, however city course prices are now expensive if your getting a cart. read more

My first golfing experience and I felt the prices were extremely reasonable. Everyone was very kind to us. We booked a tee time last minute and arrived a few minutes late due to traffic and they still allowed us to go. The starter guy on the course gave me a brief lesson on how to hit the golf ball and checked in frequently and taught me a few things about golfing! Very kind! Denver Muni prices rise every year, but Kennedy continues to be a challenging an fun course, and a great value. Until things get brown literally everywhere, Kennedy stays in great shape and the staff has always been great and friendly. The bar and restaurant is getting a little older and showing its wear, but hey at least the bridge on Creek #9 is back! I'd like to take away some stars for all the balls I've lost on the course over the years, but, really I can't. That one's on me. Course stays in great shape, is well kept, offers some good challenge while staying very fair. Creek always seems harder than Babe, but I always shoot better back there - which is irrelevant to you, but know that there's some good challenge everywhere around Kennedy. Excellent value at a well kept course. Support your local municipal golf course! read more

The courses (babe,creek,west) are actually great to play and have a lot of different challenges ..Couple issues though 1. Cramming t-times off the back 9 , that would be creek if your playing 18 . On weekends We always try to get the first 3 early t-time's "5:40 am " for the purpose of finishing early, avoiding slow play and to beat the heat . 1st 9 is usually 2 hours or under , back 9 can stretch to 3+ hours depending on how many people they cram in . . 2.Why no water on the course ? Denver public are the only course's that don't put drinking water in the course . So if you want to play a challenging 5+ hour round of weekend golf Kennedy is your place . read more

This Denver City Course is in excellent condition and it's a really enjoyable track! Now just don't let the appearance of the clubhouse and practice facility fool you. For those aspects, I whole heartedly agree on a 2/3 Star review, but just putt it few on the practice putting area and move on to the course. This tree lined course is mature, well maintained, and the greens are lightening quick. The sand traps were raked and even had sand in them. Go figure... Now remember it's a City Course so the pace of play is a little slow, but the views are great and the fairways are immaculate. It's certainly not the easiest course, but it plays fair and offers some great challenging holes. There are 3 nine hole tracks and each offers unique views and a feeling for the gorgeous property. Plenty of water too. I really enjoyed playing this course and I think you will love it. Just don't expect much from the driving and chilling area or the clubhouse. read more

I played 18 holes at Kennedy on Sunday. I have mixed feelings. Greens: great shape, 5 stars Clubhouse: sad, needs serious renovation 2 stars Restaurant: (not connected to the clubhouse), sad as well, 2 stars for ambiance but I had the breakfast burrito and I'd give it 4 stars. Fairways: good shape, 4 stars Sand traps: pretty thin, not easy to hit out of, 2 stars Views/location: nice western views of the mountains, but next to some busy roads as well, 4.5 stars. Cost: not a great deal on the weekends, $54 with cart. I'd give this 3 stars. If you can play on the weekdays and walk then it's a good deal at $24, but many of the holes are spread apart and would take quite a while to walk. Driving range: ok, you hit on pads, at least there is a lot of room to hit; 3.5 stars. Practice area: putting green was in good shape, 5 stars. The sand trap area was sad and pathetic: 1.5 stars. Cart: not the best, slow to start: 3 stars. There was no marshal monitoring play or player behavior. The idiots ahead of us drove their carts within 15 yards of the greens and played very slow. The guys behind us hit onto a green we were on, so apparently there is some lack of common sense. Overall, I'd happily play here if I paid less. Between everything I paid $54 for the cart/greens fees, $7 for coffee/burrito, $5 for small bucket of balls. read more

Kennedy putt-putt golf course was a disappointing as it was run down. When I wanted to take my grandkids on a fun trip because their parents were working, I thought almost suddenly, GOLF! Kennedy putt-putt Golf Cource in the past was fun, entertaining, and interactive. Overall, this trip was a letdown. We got there, and immediately we saw the putt-putt courses. They looked fun enough. We got our balls and clubs, which was easy enough. The prices made sense for two kids and two adults. It was starting out great. But why was there wasp nests on almost every hole in the windmill course? Why was the "water" brown, dirty, full with muck, and dead bugs. Trust me, you don't want to lose your ball in it. But we did, TWICE! The holes were kind of fun, but tears in the grass/turf were ruining it. When on the hole 10, a tunnel leading through a well was broken and blocked with a stone. The plants everywhere were cascaded with Japanese beetles, making it uncomfortable to even get near them. Would it kill them to put up a 5 buck trap for the beatles? Nothing worked anymore. Things had to be done by hand, not by mechanics or batteries. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, was run down. We went inside to complain and ask if people work on the course, but the woman working there knew nothing. Like she even cared. You would think that they WOULD care more during the apparent "busy season." Whoever the manager is better shape up the place because putt putt golf is a fun, interactive way to a spend a sunny afternoon. Until then, I will not be supporting this golf course. I hope you can support other places as well. read more

First of all, when you call the starter on the phone, you will notice that the voice on the other end is not a native speaker of English. In fact, it sound like he has only been using English as a form of communication for a couple of years. Why they would put this gentleman on the phone is a good question, another question to follow. The JFK Golf Center is quite a complex, driving range, couple of restuarants, golf shop (more like a store), a Par 3 course and 27 holes of regulation golf. Three different nine hole layouts. The employee taking the fees in the Pro Shop is very knowledgeable and friendly. With your receipt you then go to the started who lets you know when you are to be on the tee. This is done through a loudspeaker that can be heard pretty much throughout the parking area, practice area and first tees. Guess who makes that announcement.....right, you guessed it, the same chap who answers the phone. The loudspeaker comes on with an announcement that so and so is on the tee, so and so to follow. This leaves most players scratching their heads and asking....."what did he say, did you get that name ?" I guess it could be worse, this chap could be the announcer at the race track, imagine the spectators, with tickets in hand waiting to hear if their pony is making a charge and what they hear is only 30-40% understandable, talk about exciting. Anyway, the course was in good condition, fairways were lush and nicely mowed, greens were in good shape. Course is mainly flat which makes walking easy. Nice lay out, mostly straight away hole with slight dog legs. Scenery is not much, a major highway along with the mass transit line. Pace of play was slow due to a foursome of young men who must have lost several dozen golf balls between them. Pleasant enough that I will go back again. read more

This rating is for the mini golf course. They have 54 holes of mini golf (3 different courses). The mini golf holes are fun and challenging. The location does need some work. 1. Better signage to the Castle Course (walk along the fence by the driving range to get there). 2. Trim the hedges that block the walking paths. Improve the walking paths between holes. 3. Fix the cups(holes). They are too shallow. The balls will tend to bounce out of the cup. read more

I love this course and think parks and rec does a great job in general with all their courses in the city. However, they are definitely not prepared to operate safety during covid and do very little to try and keep players safe on the course. They are still pairing up groups of various players with no care or concerns for social distancing or wearing masks. One visit to the course and you'll see they are operating as if a pandemic doesn't exist at all. Sadly, I won't be back this season. read more

Love the course, have less love for the clubhouse. I've decided to just not eat there again. No seriously, the worst club sandwich I've ever had which was only saved by the Bloody Mary I ordered to go with it. If you looking to get a round fast, Kennedy is not for you. If you want fast play put your headlights on and get your glow balls out because it's just not happening. If you want some nice leisurely play with plenty of beer cart time you've found your home course. Honestly, I think most of the area GC's get backed up on those perfect golf days. You know, Sunday, 75 and just a few clouds in the sky with a little blue bird chirping in the background. Kennedy has three 9 holes courses, a Par 3 and a great driving range with a nice area for chipping and putting. I've played this course a few time and enjoy the Creek 9 the best. read more

If I could give this golf course 0 stars I would. I booked two back to back tee times for my family and I to play the West 9. My family aren't great golfers, but they can all hit the ball straight 100+ yards which I assumed would be fine for a public golf course in Aurora. We aren't talking about Pebble Beach here. I guess there is a new golf pro who is a small man taking his "big job" too seriously, and he had the marshals stop us in the middle of the second hole. We were keeping up pace just fine, and most of my family was teeing off from the Jr tees so we wouldn't hold people up. Our first group was on the green of the 2nd hole, and the people in front of us had just teed off on hole 3 as we were getting to the green. Our second group had just finished the first hole and was getting ready to tee off on hole 2 when we were stopped. The marshal was condescending and rudely told us we had to move to the par 3 course. I had paid $260 for carts and the round and was moved to a par 3 course that would have cost me $96. The marshal kept following us on the par 3 course making us feel uncomfortable and telling us that this is where we belonged. When I finished the round I intended to go to the front desk to ask for the difference between the West 9 course with 4 carts and what we ended up playing, a total of $164. The marshal was waiting for me at the cart return path, and offered some free rounds. I accepted thinking that he meant rounds for 4 people which would have come close to the amount I felt I was owed. When I got home and looked at the tickets and found that he had given me a voucher for 1 person to play the west 9, and 3 people to play the par course again. This amounts to $58, or $106 less than what I felt I was owed. I won't be using my vouchers so I guess they took me for $164. Well done to them. This place is a joke. The course isn't that nice, and they hound you if you aren't driving 175+ yards off the tee. They give you the option of walking the course, but I can't imagine that you would be able to walk fast enough for them. I live in Hawaii so I don't know the Denver golf scene that well, but I have to believe there are better places to spend your money and your time. read more

As far as Denver public golf courses go, Kennedy is a great choice. A tee time is required as they are very busy. I played 18 on a Sunday afternoon with a foursome and enjoyed a smooth round with not too much waiting or pushing from other golfers. Kennedy has a par four course along with a miniature golf course, but I did not play these. The greens seemed very spotty from hole to hole. Some holes were fast, some holes were slow as if they did not trim the greens for the weekend - I thought that was unfortunate. The geese tend to hang out in one spot (lots of them), leaving nice landmines for golfers all over. The course was challenging and offered a variety of different type holes. The large trees were very appealing to me over newer courses without shade or obstacles. Overall, the course was well maintained. I would consider a cart as many of the holes have long distances to travel between. read more

My friends and I have played here too many times. It is the perfect "average joe" golfer golf course. Staff are solid, and each 9 presents 3 layers of difficulty. West has trees but it's pretty straight. Babe Lind has sand and trees and a little water. And Creek is a high quality underrated 9 that has plenty of blind shots and dog legs. Just a good place for the 80-100 plus(hopefully not too many of these....)scorecard golfers. read more

This is the first and only golf course I've played on so take this review as you may. I played the 3 par 9 hole and used the driving range. My experience led me to want to play golf more and I've been back here more than once. Service was friendly and I felt comfortable at the clubhouse and restaurant. Run down. Came here with the family for the driving range and miniature golf. The driving range even after all the rain we've gotten is a lot of dead grass. The miniature golf section looked like it hadn't seen a landscaping company or repair man in 10 years. The ponds were 10% full and dirty, the Matt's were ripped, the plant life was hanging on by a string. This place needs a massive remodel. Their bathrooms smelled like the elephant exhibit at the zoo. An older gentlemen had gotten sick and thrown up on the floor and himself... the ground was not cleaned and he sat on the couch not being helped by the teenage running the snack bar. So it smelled like vomit and the guy sat there for about a half hour. They could have at least gave him some water and a cheap t-shirt from the shop. Don't go here. read more

I've been coming to Kennedy Golf Course for quite some time now, and I can't believe I haven't written a review for them. A good friend of mine doesn't live too far from this place, so it is the go-to place when we want to play one of their courses or practice our swing on the driving range. As some others have mentioned, for a public course in Denver, Kennedy isn't that shabby. The greens are usually in decent shape and the pace of play, when I've been on, has been pretty relaxed. (Given I usually go during the week outside of the peak Saturday/Sunday days). One of the biggest positives to Kennedy is the fact that they have three full-length, regulation 9-hole courses to choose from. In addition to the full-length courses, they have a pretty decent and fun par-3 course, if you are looking to improve your short game. All of which, I have always have a good time on (unless you count the times my game was completely off, haha). If you are wanting to improve your putting abilities, they also have a putt-putt golf course (although I will admit I have never played it - but it looks fun). One of the downsides to Kennedy is their driving range - for the fact that you are hitting off of mats of astroturf, instead of the real stuff. I like to look at things in a more optimistic perspective, and would turn into a positive by saying that about half of the driving range stations are in the shade under a metal canopy. This is nice if you are wanting to get out of the sun on one of our scorcher summer days and still be able to practice your swing. I would recommend Kennedy Golf Course to anyone who is down to play a great round of golf. After a 17 year hiatus from golf, I returned to Kennedy yesterday. This was the last course I played before I quit golf. This course was nice in 1994, but it is even prettier now. Called on Sunday morning to find a tee time in the afternoon, and was told that I could pretty much pick the time I wanted. Excellent! Played 18 with a fellow Yelper. We got rained on for a short time at the turn, but two beers later, and we were on the back nine. This is a true Denver gem. read more

Holy hell, so i mean the course seemed nice. I have NEVER played here before and like to try different courses. Booked a tee time of 5:00pm for four people. Two of us were paid and at the tee box for the 9 holes we were PLANNING on playing, the other two were in the parking lot heading to the club house to pay, time is NOW approx 5:02 and the "marshall/ tee manager is literally yelling at me that we need to go, such a rude attitude towards me. Im not the nicest person but im not a butthole if your not rude towards me, however this guy was just such a rude person. He acted like this was friggin Castle Pines and we were holding up Tiger Woods, he was yelling at me telling me to tee off, while i was taking my time ish because he was sooooooo rude, the other two in my party wasnt quite ready which i was trying to rush them, but me rushing then and the butthole of a marshall was on all of our asses it just wasnt a pleasant experience. Honesty cant believe this guy was such a rude person when he is the first person someone sees/meets on the course. Honestly will NEVER go back here because of that guy. PLUS honestly the course isnt even that great so we almost finished the first hole (DURING which after our second hit, which was approx 201 yards away according to our gps some random guy chipped onto our green WHILE we were hitting in his direction) honesty ONE of the worst experiences ive had on a course and again will never go back because of the customer service and quality of the course. read more

I've played at Kennedy Golf Course a lot and find it to be one of the better Denver city courses. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, and the course itself is nicely laid out with three separate 9-hole courses and a par 3 course. This gives you a lot of options and you won't become bored very easily. The course is well kept and you can tell they take pride in it. The greens, bunkers, and fairways are all nicely groomed. They have a nice putting green and I've noticed that they are putting in a chipping area. Kennedy is a full-service golf course and has a lighted and covered driving range which I find to be a great amenity. Even if you can't play a round, you can sneak off to the range and hit a few buckets - and it's open fairly late. They also have a pro shop and pretty decent restaurant, and for the kiddies, miniature golf. With all these features, what's not to like? As others have mentioned, Kennedy Golf Course is a true Denver gem and I'll be a return customer for a long time. See you on the links! read more
