I am a 69 year old male with the usual assortment of middle aged maladies. I had only been on a golf course 4 previous times in my entire life. After five lessons with Scott I am hitting all of the clubs in my bag with consistency and distance. I can consistently hit my driver off the tee in the fairway 200 to 230 yards. I can consistently chip and hit my wedge out of a bunker. Everyone tells me my swing looks great. I am especially confident in my irons. I feel confident when I hit balls on the driving range. No one believes I just started less than two weeks ago. Including me. I don't know where this guy came from but I know where he is going. You had better book him now because in 2 years the waiting line will be too long and none of us mortals will be able to afford him.

This is a private course in the heart of a retirement community, and the vibe is about what you'd expect. If you want long drives, difficult holes, and people named Buffy walking around talking about summering in the Hamptons this is probably not your place. What I was looking for was a quick par three open to the public on a random afternoon with no notice at a cheap price, and that's what I got. It was cheap for a round of nine, and you are walking it. The course was well maintained for the most part. One of the greens could have used a little love, but that's being nit picky. I think I used four clubs and some of the holes were at 100 yards or less. So, you probably don't need your driver. There is a putting green, but the "driving range" is essentially one cage that one golfer can hit into. Didn't try the restaurant. All in all, this is a nice little spot to fill a niche. Greens were medium in terms of speed but very smooth. Fairways were great and the rough was thick. This is my favorite flat course I have played. Tom Doak is an amazing golf course architect, and this is by far the cheapest course designed by him you'll find. Greens are wild. So many reveals when you get closer or go over a ridge. Number 3 is a great par 5 with a center line bunker that messes with your layup choices, and the punchbowl green is sweet. A couple of people I played with pulled their shots left and had some really tough chips coming in. Number 10 is a short par 4 that I would play differently next time. Very wide open on the left, more that you would think. Better angle into that green where trees guards the right side. I would not hit driver and go left, leaving a flip wedge in. Hole 11, a par 5, is my favorite. Didn't hit it well off the tee and ended up in that big cross bunker. Big mound short right of the green both kicks golf balls towards the middle of the green or propels balls over the right side of the green. Water is all up the left side is the hole. Great design. Absolute brutes from hole 14 to the finish. Fun track I'll try and play every time I'm in town. Very hard to get tee times, even during the week as a single. Driving range is huge and off grass. I think I saw three chipping greens and a big putting green. Plenty of areas to practice. Great course for a push cart.

I purchased a lesson pack with Tim Fuhrer in October 2021, and have spent the last ~4 months taking weekly lessons. Tim used a ton of technology, cameras, and metrics to break down various parts of my swing, and guided me through small changes and tweaks every week to develop a respectable swing in a short amount of time. Tim is an encouraging coach, and spent time on the little details of learning the sport to build confidence in my game. Once my lessons wrapped up, I scheduled a club fitting with Chris, who spent over 1.5 hours with me to find the perfect driver. I learned a ton about drivers and club technology in that time, and have a sweet new custom club coming in a couple weeks. I'll be working to implement my new skills this spring and summer, and plan to purchase another lesson pack next winter to hone my skills again in the cold weather. Thanks Golftec!

This past week I had 2 one hour lessons with John that were game changers and I owe it all to him. My first one hour lesson was a putting lesson. He watched me putt for a few minutes and immediately saw my problem. I wasn't tucking my elbows into my body and once I was told I needed to do this, it changed everything. My second 1 hour lesson we worked on my golf swing. I have always struggled with making clean contact with the ball. I always brush the ground before hitting the ball. Again, John observed my swing for several minutes before figuring out the problem. He videoed my swing and shared with me. I was leaning back on my right foot too much when I needed to be leaning on my left foot. With this small change, I am now hitting the ball clean (not perfect yet, but an absolute game changer)!
