Not as advertised. Not suitable for beginners. Awfully expensive. A bit disorganized. I received a lesson/fitting package as a gift. The gift giver was assured that the experience would be suitable for a beginner. Nope! Much of the lesson involved golf swing jargon that just isn't going to be understood by a beginner. Hey, if you know the difference between an open and closed shoulder in your backswing, or the difference between a strong and weak grip (hint: now I know it's nothing to do with how hard you grab the club), then you aren't a beginner, and GolfTec might work for you. Anyway, I stood open mouthed as my coach spewed utter jibberish at me. I stopped him early, and let him know I didn't understand the lingo. Didn't really help. Despite their claims, they really don't have a curriculum for beginners. Beginners need a bunch of instruction in set up and swing fundamentals that really don't benefit from GolfTec's (admittedly cool) elaborate video and computer swing tracking technology. Hey, I get that an advanced golfer, who swings consistently, might love the video breakdown looking for swing faults. A beginner is going to have enough self evident swing faults that this technology is overkill. It's like using a sledgehammer to push in a tack. And GolfTec is expensive. Anyone getting lessons on a weekly basis is definitely going to be paying GolfTec the equivalent of a car payment. Hey, I'm not saying it's not worth it. It's just that for beginners, there are cheaper and more efficient ways to learn the fundamentals. My friends who have had success with GolfTec are both far from beginner level, and are pretty indifferent to cost. If that describes you, great! You might love GolfTec. Me, not so much. I can't say enough good things about my experience with Golftec. I started golfing in June 2021--up to that point, I had only played a handful of rounds in my lifetime, apart from some days at TopGolf. I purchased a lesson pack with Tim Fuhrer in October 2021, and have spent the last ~4 months taking weekly lessons. Tim used a ton of technology, cameras, and metrics to break down various parts of my swing, and guided me through small changes and tweaks every week to develop a respectable swing in a short amount of time. Tim is an encouraging coach, and spent time on the little details of learning the sport to build confidence in my game. Once my lessons wrapped up, I scheduled a club fitting with Chris, who spent over 1.5 hours with me to find the perfect driver. I learned a ton about drivers and club technology in that time, and have a sweet new custom club coming in a couple weeks. I'll be working to implement my new skills this spring and summer, and plan to purchase another lesson pack next winter to hone my skills again in the cold weather. Thanks Golftec! read more

Fantastic and enjoyable lesson with Coach Horvey. I've been interested in increasing my driving distance and perfecting my attack-angle. Coach Horvey doctored my back-swing and helped me improve mechanics upon impact. Will definitely be back for lessons. read more

Had a great experience getting a fitting here. However when I decided to order clubs, for an upcoming trip I was taking, I was told the custom clubs I ordered could be delivered by the time the scheduled date of the trip "no problem" date fast approaching...still no clubs. I called they said it was out of their hands. Loaning me a set...but, still pissed. I'm sure I could have found the clubs I ordered somewhere for a comparable price. Feel pretty cheated. read more

Lesson was good as I got some corrective tips, but was over in 35-40 minites, and didn't cover all that much. Then came part 2 - the sales job. Spent 20 minutes listening to why I should spend up to $3000 on further lessons, etc, etc. Really? I felt a bit conned and disappointed. I can't say enough good stuff about golftec and what's it done for my golf game in a short amount of time. After taking 4 years off from golf, I decided to take it more serious and ventured into golftec. I did the initial swing evaluation and was impressed enough that I signed up for 15 lessons. I also decided to get some new fitted clubs and Corey made that a great experience and I couldn't be more happy with the clubs. After only 4 lessons and a month of practice an playing, I've shaved many strokes off my game already and hit with more consistency than ever. Went in for a fitting with Chris to look for a new set of irons. Had a great experience at the fitting session. Chris was patient and excellent at showing how each club/shaft combo we tested impacted my game, both positively and negatively. We took our time going through multiple manufacturers and setups, until we narrowed it down to the right combination for me. We then adjusted club length, lie angle, grip etc. At the end of the session he emailed me the specs of the clubs we landed on, and put absolutely no pressure on to buy. Really nice guy who's great and experienced at fitting. I would 100% recommend seeing Chris for a fitting before making the large investment of a new set of clubs. read more

I did a driver fitting with Chris and he was terrific! His knowledge of driver technology and the fitting process is incredible. He made the fitting process a fun and educational experience. I was skeptical that I could gain 17 yards with a driver change but the evidence was clear. read more

I got 6 lessons and access to the practice facility for my birthday and I wasn't sure I would like it, but it has made such a difference. My coach was Tim Fuhrer and he is amazing. He has the ability to show you the proper mechanics so that you can understand and apply the principals. The bays are so helpful for seeing your swing and providing instant feedback.
