Harvard Gulch Golf Course - Nice day for 3 par course

Harvard Gulch Golf Course

We were in town to visit the DU campus, and I was thinking about hitting a round of golf. After…read moresome digging, I found Harvard Gulch. I hadn't played a pitch and putt in a long, long time, and with barely any equipment required to play, this was definitely worth a visit. Only $1 per club rental, we each chose 1 club and 1 putter. Lots to choose from, so it took us some time to choose carefully. The 1 club + putter challenge we had made for a real fun round of golf, added a layer of thinking to a fun round. The golf was great. Super casual. We came mid day on a weekday, so it was not busy. We were allowed to bring some beverages (went to nearby Denver Brew Co), and had a lot of fun. Greens are surprisingly fast, especially downhill. Bunkers had legit sand, and there is even the threat of water. We bought a 6 pack of balls in the pro shop cuz they were only $5 (only needed one each), and bought a divot repair tool ($1) because we were planning on raining golf balls on all the greens. Lol. We had so much fun, we played a second 9. Joined up this time with a third, and he was a super fun hang. Good golfer too. All tee shots are off mats, which is expected. Wasn't a problem for us. It wasn't super busy, but pitch and putt is going to attract all manner of skill levels. We had a lot of time to kill, so we were prepared to wait and chill at each hole (back in the day I'd go to places where we could be 10-15 people deep at each tee box), but it moved fast today. That said, when we were leaving, we saw a group of 4 and 5, and most looked like beginners. I have another day in Denver, we may try and play another round. If not during this trip, then for sure the next time I come. Great fun!

Love this little par 3 course. It's definitely a short chip and put course. They are super chill at…read morethe club house and it's pretty easy to get a tee time and go when ever you want. Great for an after work chip and putt with some beers to relax. They don't sell beers there but they allow you to bring drinks with you. It's also not bad to walk, so highly recommend making it fun with friends playing with just 3 clubs and a putter.

Golf season 2018 is here! Wanting to celebrate my dad's…read morebelated birthday and mother's day - we made a tee time for around noon to kick off the season. My mission has been to try new courses each time, although I admit, I have my favorites. This course checked all the boxes because it(s) 1) Close to home - and bars/restaurants!! Located on the north west side of Bowles (and Federal), this course is a stone's throw from downtown Littleton, The Platte and St Patrick's Brewery! 2) A more challenging course! Being that there is no Par 3, each hole is designed to put your best skills to use! Many holes feature water or excessive sand pits, so better get your practice in! 3) The perfect spot to practice! With a full fledged driving range and putting green, there is a spot for everyone! 4) Decently priced - for residents! To actually pay resident price though - a South Suburban member card must be shown. $20/person for resident and $22 for non residents Friday - Sunday! Carts are not charged per person either! 5) Pristine greens! This course was so well kept, beautifully landscaped, and so lush with greenery everywhere! Staff was a little pretentious, but made our encounter quick and easy! I know we'll be back to get our game on! #golfgirl
