So far so good! After a lot of research I applied for collegiate and we were accepted. Before enroll jefco even notified my Megan was contacting me to guide me, answer questions, be of any assistance and set up a walk-through to check out the school. During the enrollment process she checked in and updated me frequently. At registration completion they had everything organized and the entire staff was helpful, friendly and welcoming. Another reason I was interested in this school is the class sizes, they are small allowing note attention to my childs learning with the teachers not having to focus on 16 students at a time. My son loses interest quickly if he isnt involved or doesnt feel included so I look forward to the advancements he will make with his teacher and 8-11 fellow classmates. Im grateful to be apart of this community so far and having my son in a school I feel comfortable with leaving him at during the day was my main priority. Will update my review as we get more into it.

My son attended this school for one year as an eighth grader after having moved from another state…read moreinto CO during the summer. In my opinion, it was a great fit for him after having had multiple life changes over the previous few years. (divorce, multiple moves, so on) The small class sizes here allow teachers to gain a perspective on students that a typical classroom, quite simply, probably wouldn't allow. I thoroughly appreciated the insights teachers provided during P/T conferences. They gave not only academic but social insights into my son's life that I would not have otherwise had. (Don't tell him I said that ) Having said all of that, he decided to go to elsewhere for his high school years. Whether or not it's a good decision for him remains to be seen. In any case, I would urge parents (and their students!) to consider Collegiate Academy. As parents we must help our kids decide what is best for them at a given time. The beauty of Jeffco is this ability to have options. We haven't had this option presented so cleanly to us in any other school system. Please check them out.

He kept his head down and flew under the radar and was diagnosed with high functioning ASD in 9th grade. TGS knocks down the walls of judgment against neurodiverse kids that exist in public schools and give them new tools to achieve their potential each day in creative ways so that kids learn to express themselves and feel heard and accepted.

My son has been able to get out of his defensive mode (which has obstructed his ability to learn) because he is finally receiving the necessary accommodations for his Aspergers and ADHD learning profile. The school, with its amazing and dedicated staff, has helped him move forward not only with his academics, but has provided valuable tools to help him with his social skills and emotional regulation as well. He looks forward to going to school now and feels grateful to be in a place where he is valued, respected and understood. We love the community and integrity that comes along with The Temple Grandin School and we have much hope for our son's future accomplishments.

Math used to be almost impossible, and is now our 7 year old's best subject, and we are tackling reading next. Their handwriting is also much improved! The boys look forward to tutoring every week! I can't say enough great things about Corey and Liz!

They employ adults with developmental disabilities and have created a space where everyone truly feels welcome. You can tell a lot of thought went into making the environment accessible, from the seating options to adaptive dining tools and sensory-friendly areas. It's one of the most intentionally designed spaces I've seen. The food holds up too. The pizzas are solid with a good variety of options, and everything we tried was enjoyable. The standout for me was Mama's Cinnamon Dessert Pizza. Warm, sweet, and topped with cream cheese frosting, it's easily something I would go back for on its own. They also have craft beer, a fun atmosphere, and even a dance floor, which adds to the overall experience. It's a great spot that combines good food with a meaningful mission.

My peach cider was refreshing and I look forward to going back and making this place my happy hour hangout in Englewood!
