Our son was in play therapy for two years. He has had 12 sessions with Cynthia, and has made more tangible progress in those 12 sessions than he ever did in play therapy. There has been tangible improvement in all areas- both boys use mindfulness strategies at home, school, and in social situations. The mindfulness curriculum resonates and stays with them, and simple phrases and strategies help them cope with challenging situations. Math used to be almost impossible, and is now our 7 year old's best subject, and we are tackling reading next. Their handwriting is also much improved! The boys look forward to tutoring every week! Upon dealing with a child who struggled, she became distraught and very judgmental. She berated us at length on our parenting, which was highly unprofessional - and then refused to refund prepaid fees. She seeks legal counsel on every move. Do not pre-pay; if you aren't happy with her services, you can kiss good-bye to your money. It was a nightmare of an experience, and our mental health team members were very dismayed at her behavior. I understand if she couldn't handle a depressive child, but criticizing the parents harshly and keeping many hundreds of dollars is not professional.
