This place is now punishing golfers for booking in advance and we could lose $10-$20 per person if the weather doesn't allow us to play. I get no shows happen and that sucks for the course, but I've never seen broken tee not jammed packed with long delays. To have golfers pay a fee for booking ahead, on top of green fees, and not send that deposit back if the course is unplayable due to weather.. is insane. read more

The worst Denver area public course. Had a threesome booked for 18 that was changed to only 9 holes 24 hrs in advance and was paid online. Was assured when we checked in a credit back to the card was given. Credit card statement arrived and was charged $348. Then there's the course- in absolute horrible condition, fairways are practically dirt or mud. Also if you like getting a contact high this is the place for you. I love this place! I consider it my home course. Yeah the fairway conditions on the first 6 are bad, apparently they're reconditioning them, but they are fun holes! This course isn't just straight holes with no features. The par 3 is also a fun way to get a quick 9 in. It's has some longer holes so you can use more than 4 clubs like some others. The practice facilities are some of the nicest I've seen. More than ample area for everyone. It's so easy to get a tee time here too, unlike most other places. It's cheaper than a lot too! read more

Horrible "fairways" that I don't think could be called fairways. Unclear navigation regarding location of tee boxes, unfriendly pro shop staff, and so many goose feathers and goose feces that you can't find even the best hit balls. I get that it's a municipal course, but all of the municipal courses in Denver and Aurora are in much better condition and offer a much better overall experience compared to this one at a near identical price point. read more

Played here last Sunday and have to say for the price you pay to play here, you shouldn't have to wait almost 30 minutes past your scheduled tee time to tee off on the 1st hole. Then continue to wait at every hole to play for the first 7 holes took over 2 hours to play they were soo backed up or over scheduled with an event it was just plain ridiculous to then get chased off the corse by Karen treating us like entitled children raising her voice at us and shaking her head at us as she followed us in. Thanks Karen for taking what should have been a fun day for us, and basically ruining our day for us. Will NEVER play here again. Get it together Broken Tee.... Used to be a reasonable city owned course. Constantly declined over the summer. First issue, poor conditions. Each hole has significant dirt mounds without grass, soggy spots, and even bogs of water and gush. Tee boxes are a mess. Either rock hard or watered so much you can't use them. Spots on the course are not marked ground under repair, another thing wrong with current management structure. Next, pace of play is not monitored. The last time I played, the first 9 holes took almost three hours. I have never seen a marshal here. I suspect Englewood is collecting all the money and not putting it back into the course. The older lady with red hair in the pro shop was incredibly rude when I got there. This is obviously not a country club, so I don't see any reason for a lecture upon arrival. Not a great way to start off 18 holes of golf. It's a shame because the other employees were very kind. I truly considered leaving after my interaction with her. My family is here regularly to have fun and practice. Probably will look into different courses. It's good customer service practice to have, at the very least, polite engagements. This course has gone down hill! Ever since the new manager shannon came on. The workers act like were infringing on them by being here. And theyre more concerned with what we shouldnt be doing than us nit being able to do anything at all. They always have a reason not to open the range on time and the maintenance is terrible. Twice i went to the pro shop and they didnt know how to sell a range pass! The guy in the pic has a really bad attitude and should be reprimanded! read more

Bad and getting worse... Poorly managed. At least 3 greens with pins inside 4 paces from green's edge. Mounded cups. Nooobody fixes their ballmarks on the greens (not the courses' fault). Thick, high fairways. Uneven tee-boxes. Rock-hard layer under thin top layer of bunkers. Range has about as much sand as turf on it. Denver's most neglected municipal courses are looking better and that's scary. read more

I really enjoy playing at broken tee. Both the 18 hole and 9 hole par 3 course are great. The course has beautiful views of the mountains. It's reasonably priced, and seems to have something for all levels of golfers to enjoy. I am a beginner and playing the par 3 course is perfect for me. Two great courses 18 and par 3 considering the location. We played the 18 hole course. The facilities are very impressive. They got very nice driving range and practice putting greens. Carts are typical of courses. Golf shop is decent size with good verity of stuff in case you forgot something. Course itself is very green. Tee boxes were in ok shape. Some greens very nice some just ok. They had a beverage cart which was nice. Overall very nice course with friendly staff. They also have a learning center on site. Played decent and looking forward to playing it again. Good bang for the buck too. read more

The management behind this golf course is garbage. They sell a ton of yearly passes which you can barely use because their online booking system is NEVER working. You have to call in every time and sit through a long message to then hope to talk with someone. Because of their issues it would be great if they would allow you to use the pass toward the driving range but that is a wish/dream. Course is just in average shape. Join this decade and allow people to book online and stop pointing the blame. read more

This is quite possibly the worst run golf course in Denver. Front nine is built on an old landfill and was designed by a 4 year old. The back nine is beautiful but good luck getting there since the course is overbooked and they send groups out every 7 minutes. The worst part of the experience is the clubhouse staff. On a scale of 1 to 10. 1 being a jerk and 10 being an @ss hole these people are a 12. I realize this is an inexpensive municipal course but that doesn't give you the right to treat your customers like garbage. read more

Some of the best practice facilities! Strangely, I haven't golfed the course yet, but have easily hit over 1,000 balls on their range and have spent close to 20 hours on their chipping and putting greens. In the summer they do a great job maintaining the range turf so you're always able to find a bay with grass to hit off of. Try earlier in the day as later many golfers will have chopped it up. The only thing I wish they had were unrestricted flight balls, and more gongs or plates spread throughout the range. Maybe even a bucket sized hole at 165 that would give out a free round of golf for every "hole in one". Last bucket is sold at 8:30 and you get another 30 or so minutes with the Lights after that. The main putting green is two tiered so you can practice your lag and heavy break puts. Their chipping area allows you to hit out of rough, fairway, and the first cut to elevated greens with various pin positions. You can easily hit a full lob wedge and work on your half and quarter swings too. You'll sometimes get the stench from the waste management plant, but hey, well worth a visit to practice your game! read more

DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT COVID Booked a tee time for two people and specified we play alone due to Covid. Broken Tee confirmed we would be playing alone. After we tee off, two other individuals show up late and say they are in our tee time, played slow golf, started sneezing non stop due to "allergies" on the sixth hole and did not wear masks until the 8th hole. Not adhering to social distancing guidelines after multiple requests. Finished the round. My first question to management. "Do you mixed different parties in foursomes". Their response "no". After I told them what had happened they said they "have to fill all foursomes and they were a last minute fill" and I should have let them play ahead when we were already playing 20min slow. Management did not apologize, did not issue a refund and lied twice about mixing different parties. Will never be playing Broken Tee again read more

The Greens were spectacular for April conditions. Shot a career round yesterday and I can say the greens gave me the confidence to do so.

I definitely have contemplated giving Broken Tee GC a poor review over a year ago and after my last visit, I was compelled. I understand this is a public and very busy golf course but the pro shop is so mismanaged its shocking. The older man that frequently manages the shops counter is unbelievably rude, he has expressed is complete hatred of his job on several occasions by his behavior. The starter, during the six or seven times I have played here (also a older gentlemen) is also rude and has no business representing the golf course. Unaware the fist time I played this course; if you are wanting to play in a twosome... You can forget it, they will pair you with any random goofball they please. Which I really don't have a problem with, I understand it helps the pace of play. What I DO have a problem with- is when my lady friend asked the starter on our third visit, if it would at all be possible to play in a twosome.. He smirked and with attitude said ha, NO. I guess what makes this so unbelievable to me; is that the economy isn't exactly booming and golf is not a necessity for most. But apparently this is a take a number operation and no customer service..no scratch that, no pleasant demeanor is needed. I guess Broken Tee is financially sound and doesn't need to provide a pleasant golfing experience. I have no idea how to fix a slice or to direct someone into the proper swing plane...but I could give you a little advice on where to spend your $$ and Broken Tee is just that...Broken. read more

Had a little tourney here this weekend. The course layout itself is nice, shorter course with lots of water, the back 9 to me seemed a little ruff. The greens looked terrible though and really could use some much needed TLC. However, the beer cart was right on time! :-) Never missed us. For the price and the play it seems fitting. read more

The first six holes are pretty boring, after that the course gets much more challenging... The front desk is really slow but I've never experience any "rudeness" by the staff, the card girls were very friendly. Nice little practice area, range, etc. Just nothing really stands out about this course, therefore I think it's a little overpriced, $40 w/ cart would be more like it. This is the old Englewood GC with a nice update on the layout. The greens were a little rough and the fairways a little brown in some areas but not too bad. The course has some challenging holes and I did loose a few balls but that is due more to my skills than anything else. :) Overall a nice public course and a fair price for the experience. read more

Great little course in Englewood. The entire layout of the course was updated about 2 years ago and has made this course much nicer. They have an 18 hole championship course, a par 3 course, driving range, and practice area. This course is a great bang for your buck, under $50 for 18 holes w/cart. I recently played here with 2 foursomes and they were very accommodating. They take very good care of the grounds here and the greens are well manicured. For the price and and the condition of the course, I'm a fan for sure. read more

As far as public courses go I really like the layout of the 18, haven't played the par 3 yet and don't plan on it. Par 3s are for hackers. ;) Sure, the greens are a little rough and the porta potties are gross, but it's not a country club folks. The green fees are more than reasonable and if you check out their website there's always a great special going on. We really enjoy playing here and have/will come back often. I've seen other reviews with golfers having bad experiences with the staff and so far we haven't had any issues. Everyone has been very friendly and courteous. Typical of public courses, it is very slow on the weekends. No rangers are in place to keep up the pace of play, otherwise I would have given it 5 stars. Don't miss the grill inside either, excellent food & pricing. read more

Broken Tee Golf course is one of my favorite courses in the metro area! The staff is super helpful and very friendly, from the starter to the course manager to the people at the 19th hole, everyone there is awesome. The course itself is very well maintained and I especially enjoyed the nice clean fairways and defined rough. The greens were very well kept up and had some pretty tough pin placements. The golf carts are newer and were also very clean and drove great. I had a fantastic time playing a round of 18 there and would definitely recommend Broken Tee to my friends and family. read more

My husband and I came here Saturday evening at 5pm to play the par 3 course. The rates are super low for evenings and par 3 is perfect for me at my 'beginners' level. We were quickly signed in and given instructions on how to navigate on to the next holes (follow the cart paths). The course itself is excellent and as challenging as I would expect for an average of ~120 yards per hole. Some holes were pretty easy and some had such high hills that you had to guess where the hole might actually be. If mobility is hard for you, this might not be the best choice (or take a cart) as there were a lot of hills. My lack of 4 stars is primarily due to the layout. Holes are difficult to find and we only saw one sign that pointed out directions. The 9th hole is tucked on the opposite side of the driving range and you're looking at a small hike to get back to the clubhouse/parking lot. If you're a full course player, they have a Saturday night 'date night' special that sounds super fun. My husband has taken up playing the full course and has reported that the burgers at the restaurant are delicious. We'll definitely be back! read more
