Over the summer my boyfriend rekindled his love for putt-putt. He found Puttshack from a youtube video, and we were both excited to check this place out. We're out of towners, so I scheduled our tee-off time a week in advance for when they opened on a Sunday. There were a few groups waiting before they opened, and so I wasn't sure if we were going to feel rushed during our game by the number of people already there or not. When we arrived we were greeted by the host, who told us everything we needed to do to find out which hole we started at. One thing I didn't realize when booking is there are a few different courses, the Emerald is where we were assigned. Initially, I liked that you didn't all start at the same hole as there are different courses you can end up on. However, it's kinda luck of the draw which course you get, and you have to pay again if you want to do the other courses. Since we are childless and no one was ahead of us we completed the course in 11 minutes. While we had fun, it was over way too quick, so I'm not sure about the value for the money. read more

After having been regulars at the establishment, this past Saturday was our first time back in about a year. What an awful experience. People were cutting the line and there was no order whatsoever. They must have oversold tickets for the evening because we waited behind 15+ people at some holes. We tried to raise our concerns to management, but they were extremely rude and dismissive, and told there was nothing they could do. We ended up leaving 3 holes into our second game because of what a nightmare it was. Just a miserable experience all around. I highly recommend reconsidering before booking your evening here. We took some friends from out of town here for a fun night out. This place is a pretty cool spot. They have 4 different 9 hole courses to play, which helps alleviate some of the business. We played the Emerald and Amber Courses, both of which were fun. They did have two holes that were the same, which would be nice if each course was completely unique. The holes get backed up when it is busy, but it didn't effect our experience much. In fact it helped us slow down a little which allowed us to chat and enjoy our drinks. The balls are chipped to the individual, so it tracks your score which is super useful. Sometimes those systems tend to be glitchy, but we did not experience any problems. Very expensive and disappointing. First off, parking was extremely difficult to find. There are two parking lots in the building - both full and very pricey about $20/hr!!! I ended up parking at the Westside provision district shopping mall for just $5 the first 2 hrs. Make sure to stand in line, have your ID out, and your reservation confirmation on your phone as the employee at the front door has no patience and will give you an attitude. I was surprised the mini golf course was so tiny and of course crowded. We finished all 9 holes in 10 mins. For $15 per person that was not worth my time or money. I came here with a friend to play some mini golf and also eat some delicious food and let me tell you I got both. At first want to say that our waiter I think his name was demaris, was a gentleman and went above and beyond for our service. He recommended great appetizers for us and served our drinks with great gusto which really made our experience here amazing. We only got two appetizers for food but they were crazy good. We got the Korean steamed buns with barbecue pork and it was so tender and full of flavor but at the same time balanced by the sweetness and mellowness of the bun and other ingredients. The showstopper though was the crab dip. I think I will come back and only get the crab dip and that's how good I thought it was. I have been to a very expensive oyster bar before and they're crab dip wasn't even as good as this one. You can really taste the fresh crab in the dip and the other ingredients are careful not to overpower the sweetness of the crab and the chips aren't too salty that it takes away from the dip either. First time ever visiting a Puttshack! I really enjoyed the 9 courses -- they were so unique and entertaining. I wanted to keep playing! The atmosphere is awesome! It just makes you want to let loose with your friends and have a good time. A few negatives: there were too many people in line for a course at the same time, and the system wasn't working properly. For instance, we were waiting up to 10 min just to hit our ball. We spent WAY more time waiting to play than actually playing mini golf. Additionally, there were a few occasions where we would hit the ball and the system didn't register the play. It happened on the first putt! This was very annoying, as we held up the line. I will definitely try out its Boston location because I did overall enjoy the mini golf courses. read more

I was totally impressed by the fun obstacles, not the tacky windmills and things you see at putt putt in touristy places. The holes had some awesome ingenuity to them. I liked the one that had you answer a trivia question by putting towards the slot labeled "true" or "false". Wish I had known before coming that they serve a lot of vegan options in the restaurant. I really enjoyed my first visit to The Interlock, with Puttshack being the main reason. The whole place was definitely busy with people, from the outside walkways, to inside the business. There's a designed parking deck you can use and pay via ParkMobile. Look at the elevator buttons carefully, and you'll find you way to the main floor. We made reservations, and if you're going on a weekend night, I'd highly recommend the same. The putt putt games had a good variety on each hole. I think the $12 per person price is fair for the time spent, novelty of courses, and the atmosphere. You'll be assigned to one of two courses, get a putter, and your assigned ball. The tech will keep track of when it's your turn, and how many shots you take. That said, it's not ideal for a quiet date night. You could have a hard time hearing the staff too. I'd recommend grabbing a drink before you start your round. There's a table at just about every hole to put your drink up before you take your shot. read more

My husband, adult children and I celebrated my birthday here, and what a fantastic time we had. The staff was engaging and friendly and the service was great, even though it seemed to be a busy night. The putting holes were super creative and the flow through them was smooth. We reserved a table for when we finished one round, but they seem to have you have had plenty of tables available around 8 PM. Our server was fun, energetic and very attentive. Expecting typical bar food, we had low expectations. However, we were very surprised that the food was delicious. Two people in our group ordered the pad Thai salad and said it was flavorful and far beyond expectations. We ordered dessert. However, the kitchen ran out of the crème brûlée, so the chef sent complementary beignets to the table. Wow! They melted in our mouths- so good! It was about $27 per person/per game (I can't remember if that was the youth price) I wasn't sure how my 4 year old would do...but he did great, even got a couple holes in one! Date Night Review - Part 1 So my beautiful wife decided to surprise me with a date night and decided to take me to Puttshack! I've never played putt putt golf before in my life so I was definitely excited! Here's some quick highlights and comments from the evening: Highlights: - beautiful location and scenery. Prefect for a date night. Especially when the weather is nice. A lot of side places to hang out at and grab a bite afterwards. -the holes are creative and extremely unique. We played at the "amber" section and My favorite hole was a "spinning wheel" one. Basically you have the chance to win a free game or other items depending on how close you get to a hole and one. -very easy to play and catch on, even if you're a first timer like me. Also a friendly environment. Good for groups, nice staff, and has a decent view of downtown. Comments: - it can get really crowded. It was slammed pack when we went (around 7:30pm on a Friday) so I would definitely recommend making a reservation before going. And check your coat! Trust me you don't want to walk around with it. -in the amber section, you have to wait for the people in front of you to play their hole before you can go. (I'm not sure if that's just how putt putt goes, remember, it's my first time). it's 9holes in total so it may not take too long for people to move along. But it Just depends on how fast the people in front of you are going. -parking can be a headache. I mean it's downtown so you get it. There is a parking garage nearby, but can fill up quickly. Overall I think for 3 hours, I paid about $11 for parking. Overall, the experience was great! I ended up losing, but all is fair in love and war. For my first visit to Puttshack, I didn't know what to expect which is good as it usually doesn't lead to disappointment. My friend reserved a tee time in advance and we arrived in time to park in the garage right next to it. We walked into the facility and reviewed the board to determine which area we would be putting in. We proceeded to that area. Upon arrival to the Amber area, we were given our club and golf ball to get started. We decided to play the holes in order from 1-9 but you can play any hole you want (except when you play at hole 9, they will take your ball). That is cool as could avoid waiting in a line for a hole by going to another. The ball automatically tracks your points and will appear on the screen above at each hole. And beware of the caution zones at each hole as it will not be good for your score lol. The putting time was fun and we finished in about 30 minutes. Afterwards, we went over to the restaurant part and grabbed a drink and food. The flatbread pizza I had was delicious. This is a place I will definitely return to! The only downfall is that kids aren't allowed after 8pm every day. When my friend visited earlier this year we wanted to go to celebrate her husband's birthday. But since their kid was with them, we wouldn't have enough time to play and eat dinner to celebrate. So we ended up eating somewhere else. 8pm is definitely a harsh cut off around dinner time. read more

Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon around 2p after brunch with a party of 5 and I'll admit upfront if finding the location wasn't such a hassle I would have given 5 stars. There should be more signage in my opinion for those of us who have no idea what we are looking for. We ended up parking in the garage and it was $10.35 for 3 hours which isn't too bad. We did not have reservations and were able to book a round within 30 minutes. A couple of the machines were inoperable and that made for a longer registration time. I'd also suggest doing away with having to enter so many details for each guest to play, but that's neither here nor there. While we waited we ordered a round of green tea shots and they were pretty good. With tip I spent about $35 for 4 and they were a very nice size. Definitely a plus in our book. Our first round we played upstairs and this was probably the funniest mini golf course I've ever played on. It was about $76 for all 5 of us to play. I enjoyed the tracker in the ball that keeps your score and alerts you to who is playing by name. We played relatively quickly on the course although there can be a bit of a pile up if there are large parties also playing on the same course. There was also one hole that went haywire but we were able to skip it and come back to it once repaired. I like that you don't have to play in order except when it comes to your final hole. We enjoyed so much we played a second round downstairs and it wasn't nearly as fun for some reason although we wont two free desserts which everybody who tried enjoyed. Our second bartender took forever making one lemon drop martini and two rum punches. The drinks were definitely very good but not sure I'd wait as long as I did again. Overall I'd return here and hang out as it is definitely a vibe. read more

Came here on a Friday night with low expectations ONLY because I am terrible at mini golf, however I ended up having SO much fun! We booked same day and the nearest reservation wasn't until 9:50 pm, and due to traffic and rain I arrived a little bit after time and was pleased they still honored my reservation. I checked in on a nearby kiosk after showing my ID to security at the front, and had to do a little bit of searching to find the course we were assigned to. My friend had been there before and this was the exact same course they were assigned to last time, so I wonder how they choose what course to send you to.. Anyways, we did the Ruby course! But first, we grabbed drinks from the bar where the bartender was friendly and moving quickly! I had the peach tea on peachtree which tasted like a sweeter version of a Long Island, so if you're into that I would recommend it. Once we headed to the course, there was a short line to get the balls and putts but really wasn't long at all. It was nice to be able to chat in between turns as you waited for the group in front of you to go. The obstacles we had ranged from connect 4, to beer pong to obstacle wheels and were all very fun! The music was blasting and everybody was genuinely having a great time. I'd love to go back! My only critique is, I WISH the course was longer. I didn't want the fun to end! While you wait there is a bar where you can grab a few drinks. If you choose to eat as well make sure to reserve for a table along with your booking. I highly recommend this place for group outings and date nights. The Short: A very cute idea but both the games and food left us a bit underwhelmed. The Long: Reservations ($12/person) for putt putt are only available online and very hard to come by on weekends and evenings, so book early. Service: This is where they shine! From the hostesses and waiter to the staff who explained golfing...everyone was super personable and welcoming. Ambience: Fun, busy, and cool. Perhaps a bit loud if that bothers you but this is to be expected in a bar/gaming environment. Golfing: Each hole is super cute and fun but you blow through the tiny course in no time.
