I checked out Puttshack, an indoor mini golf spot located in Perimeter Mall, and it was such a fun experience. They have different color-coded courses, and we played the red and green ones. What makes it unique is that some holes include interactive challenges like trivia questions and moving obstacles, which keeps things interesting and adds a fun twist to regular mini golf. We also ordered a couple of cocktails while we played, the Old Fashioned and the mezcal margarita, and both were delicious. The margarita stood out with its jalapeño-infused popsicle, which added just the right amount of spice and was a good touch. We didn't have much interaction with service since check-in was self-guided, but the staff we did encounter, including the server who brought our drinks, were kind and pleasant. Overall, it's a great spot to hang out and chill with friends or family. Definitely a fun and unique activity if you're looking for something different to do indoors. read more

High potential. Fun twist on putt putt. However, the games, food and drinks are separate. Separate tabs, separate ways to order. That means when you play, you are in a tight maze of 9 holes per course. So you could go to the bar and order on your tab. But, no room for food on the course. And the games move quick so you'll likely not have time for going to the bar. There's no app or way to order drinks or food either. Keeping in mind, your party is tracked as you move through the course. Not clear why Puttshack has not figured out how to have an app and let us use our bar tabs in the app ties to our game to order/deliver/pay for food. Then, our bar tabs are separate from the dining tabs. It simply needs to be better thought out. read more

As far as the mini golf goes, this is a really nice place. It's very clean. You sign in at the front and then you are assigned a nine hole course. There are several of them so if there are a lot of people they can be assigned to different courses. You can go through each course in any order you want in case some people are being a little bit slower. Each hole has a different obstacle and someone took the time to make them fun! There's lots of bright colors and a place to put your drinks and hang your purse while you are putting. The balls have a GPS in them and the scores are kept for you on a television that is above every hole. So cool! It also has a large bar and seating area if you'd like to have lunch. I thought it was worth the money and will be back to try a different course. read more

Minigolf was fun - a bit pricey for 9 holes that play very quickly, but they do have a lot of overhead with it being indoors. We only played one course - it was a corporate happy hour - and it literally took 20 minutes, tops. Course was nice, technology was really nice, and some of the holes were challenging and a lot of fun. The food was decent - nothing over the top, but presentation was nice; the queso left a little to be desired. They rated three stars because of the bar - how does a bar not have tonic? Even more baffling was that they were out of limes. Those are two of the most important items a bar needs. Would I go back? Maybe. Would I go back with the coupon they gave us as we left? That might help. Would I go there expecting a good drink? No. I would like to play the other courses at this location, though - I'd go unlimited as I'd like to have had more play time. read more

Our company summer party was earlier this month at Puttshack's Atlanta - Dunwoody location. We had a great time. I think this is a fun venue for corporate events and large group outings. It was one of my favorite company parties in recent memory. Coincidentally, my wife's company is doing one of their holiday parties later this year at Puttshack's Atlanta - Midtown location. This is the year of Puttshack, apparently. This Puttshack location opened less than a year ago on November 6, 2024. It's located in Dunwoody's new "High Street Atlanta" mixed-use development, which opened earlier in 2024. It's the Dunwoody version of Atlantic Station, Avalon, etc. and it's located just across the street from Perimeter Mall. Free parking is available in multiple decks. I recommend parking in the deck behind Puttshack. Drive on Cross St, past Puttshack (you'll pass Puttshack on your right), until it dead ends, then turn right to get to the deck. When you exit the deck on foot, you'll be at the correct building and level for Puttshack. The entrance is on the upper level. Puttshack is a nice spin on mini golf. Putt-Putt was one of my favorite places to go in elementary school. In a way, Puttshack is like the grown-up, trendy, adult version of Putt-Putt. Instead of arcade games, there are bars with alcohol. This Puttshack is spacious and modern. It has four nine-hole courses, indoor and outdoor seating, and a private event space. The patio outside overlooks High Street's central area. Our party was held in the private space. It had its own bar, with at least one dedicated bartender, and a dining room with a variety of seating options. My wife and I sat at the bar. The food and drink were delicious. There was a self-serve buffet with dishes like Korean BBQ Pork Bao Buns, Atlanta Hot Chicken Sliders, Classic Caesar Salad, Mediterranean Lamb Skewers, Mojo Veggie Tacos, and Powdered Sugared Beignets (if I recall correctly). There was an open bar and we had the following drinks: * Puttshack Paloma - Espolon Tequila Blanco, Tres Agaves Organic Grapefruit Paloma Mix, Fever-Tree Pink Grapefruit soda, fresh lime, Tajin rim * Ultimate Top Shelf Margarita - Dulce Vida Tequila Blanco, Cointreau, lime sour, black lava salt rim, Grand Marnier Supertube * Perfect Old Fashioned - Abasolo Ancestral Corn Whisky (upgrade), orange and lemon peel, orange bitters, demerara syrup, signature ice ball We were impressed with how tasty and satisfying the food and drink were. Our bartender was terrific. She was polite and attentive and our drinks were well made. Service was very good. The bartenders and staff made sure we were taken care of with our final drink orders before the event ended. Our event took place on a Saturday afternoon, 12:30-3:30pm. Each party guest got two rounds of mini golf. We played the Sapphire Course, which is next to the private room. The other courses are Ruby (also next to the private room), Emerald, and Amber. I liked the creative and interesting hole designs and really enjoyed myself. It was a lot of fun. My wife and I only played one round. This was my first time at any Puttshack and I got four holes in one. That said, I think everyone scores a "hole in one" on the last hole. My holes in one on Sapphire were on Hole Nos. 1, 7, and 8. On Hole 1, you have to hit the ball into a "Supertube" which is on an incline between two bunkers. If you hit your ball into one of the bunkers, points are deducted from your score. On Hole 7 ("Putt 4," a play on Connect Four), you have to hit your ball up a narrow wooden ramp to enter the Supertube. Hole 8 is "Putt-Man," a play on Pac-Man. You have to hit your ball into a moving Pac-Man target to enter one of the Supertubes. A lot of people were nailing the hole in one on Hole 8. I ended up scoring 455 points, consisting of 0 hazards, 16 shots, 4 holes in one, and 3 Supertubes. The holes are memorable like Hole 2, where you have to dodge giant air hockey discs, Hole 3, where you have to play Trivial Pursuit, Hole 4, which is like basketball Pop-A-Shot, and Hole 5, where you have to dodge Tetris blocks. Hole 6 is a wheel spinning game and Hole 9, you have to hit your ball up a steep incline into targets with various point values, like Skee-Ball. Like Topgolf, Puttshack tracks stats and scores wirelessly via golf balls. The Puttshack in Midtown is located at The Interlock in West Midtown. It opened on April 21, 2021 and was the first Puttshack to open in the US. The very first Puttshack worldwide opened in London in the UK in 2018. There are now close to 20 locations in the States. Puttshack was great fun. We took a group of friends and family out recently for the very first time. The extra objectives and bonus points on the various holes make it somewhat more fair for those of us who were less golfing inclined. Overall, we had a really good time. The concept is fun, creative, and a refreshing twist on traditional putt-putt. It's a great place to grab a drink or some food and enjoy something different. The drinks were surprisingly excellent, and the bartenders were extremely friendly, personable, and genuinely talented. My only major issue was with how they manage the flow of people. The reservations don't seem to serve a purpose because guests are allowed to start whenever they want. For example, the group ahead of us asked how early they could begin, even though they were still 25 minutes away from their reservation, and the staff let them go right in. They were also funneling everyone onto the same course. We passed two courses with only a couple of groups, yet the one we were assigned had 14 groups waiting. Each hole took a long time. The second course we played was the same story: it started empty, but by the time we got going there were 15 groups on it, all while other courses remained mostly unused. With only nine holes, the wait added up quickly. The experience itself is great, but the crowd management definitely needs improvement. read more

We came to this location to celebrate my brothers birthday. The location also offers several restaurants nearby if you want to grab a bite to eat after. I love the fact that this location offers free parking and the sodas are complimentary. The price does add up when you're traveling with four kids! They also have a complimentary bag check so you don't have to carry your jacket/purse while playing. I believe there was a total of nine holes?? It was not too many holes and it was not too little holes, the course was made just right. The staff were also friendly and attentive. They grabbed our drink orders and checked in on us periodically. Fun new spot in the Dunwoody area! Full bar with great staff and lots of fun for everyone. Maybe it was just me, but I got a bit confused trying to find this place. It is indeed on the second story- you're welcome. But as soon as you walk in, you can tell you're going to have a good time. It's a huge space with lots of lights and tables, and a gigantic bar. My husband and I came on a Friday early afternoon and it was easy to get in a slot. There's some iPads on the back wall to sign up to play, but there seems to be a lot of people booking online as well. We grabbed a drink at the bar before playing as the tables are reserved. They have a good selection of beer and wine, and of course a full bar. We didn't eat, but the food looked solid and par for the course. The staff assists you with getting your ball at your designated course and explains how to get started. They do have little tables at each hole to put drinks, bags, and whatnot. The staff is excellent and super friendly. The actual putt putt is super fun also, and perfect for groups! Had to settle a golf dispute, so we decided Puttshack was a great place to get it done. In a larger party (10), we got drinks and got our round started pretty quickly (I highly recommend registering online. Speeds up door to putt time). The staff was friendly/helpful, overall, and walked a couple of people, in our group, through the registration steps on site. Three 9 hole courses are available, and they seem to be easy, medium, and hard difficulties. Getting started on the course was pretty straightforward. We were all given assigned balls (chips track name and shots), and played what seemed to be the easy and medium courses. We didn't have an issue with pace of play, and there is another bar area to accommodate those who may sip a little bit faster than others. The backbar was also enclosed, so it may be a good spot for private events. After finishing, we sat at the high top for dinner. Booths were available, and it seemed like reservations can be made for any table. I had the bacon jalapeño burger, a side of fries, and an old fashioned. The burger hit the spot. Maybe it was my first burger in a while, but it was cooked so much better than I expected that I was sad to be done with it. The old fashioned was pretty up there, too. It didn't break my Top 5 Old Fashioneds list, but the balance in flavors was good enough for me to order another (They had pretty cool ice spheres). All in all, this Puttshack location has everything you need to spend a few hours out of the house, go on a date, or grab a drink before heading elsewhere. I prefer the Puttery, where the courses are longer so you get your money's worth. At the Putt Shack the courses are so short that you are most likely to get the ball in within 3 strokes, thus leading to a very fast game for small parties. This was my first experience trying puttshack. I had a really great time and enjoyed the games. This location is less crowded then midtown which made it easier to get through each hole. The only con is that, as a first timer, instructions on where to begin weren't clear. After you pay at the kiosk, staff at the front assumes you know what to do but no one is available to give directions. We spent time looking for someone to assist us. After dinner at Agave Bandido, we walked over only to find the doors locked and no one there. Hours online AND posted next to the door said open Mondays 4-11. Super disappointing as we were all looking forward having a fun night out. A note on the door or online would have been appreciated as we probably would have found an alternative option. I love puttshack and one with free parking even better. I tried this location after a birthday dinner and had a blast. Customer service was really good from check in to the bar and wait staff. Finished our game and drinks in an hour which was good because we came 2 hours before close. It is a little smaller than the Howell Mill location but it's also on one level not two. This location is close to perimeter mall and there are restaurants right across from it. GPS dropped me off at the parking garage downstairs but there is another garage on the upper level you just gotta drive around to find it. read more

Puttshack has four different nine hole courses that have very cool themes. One is a trivia one and you answer the question to know whether to go for the red or blue hole in one. This was my first experience with a Puttshack, and I was really impressed. The golf technology is awesome- the course reads your ball so you don't have to keep score (so no cheating!). Everything happens on the video screen in front of you. They also tell you the leaderboard for that day. There are 4 different nine hole courses. The holes are creative, and a clear step above your typical mini-golf course. The space is huge, and the TVs are a good size. I think it would be a good place to watch a game, as long as you don't need volume. It's also definitely kid-friendly during the afternoon. We only had a few apps, but the food and drink menus are huge. read more

We always have fun time coming to Puttshack. Was super excited to see they opened a 2nd Atlanta location. The free parking is definitely a plus. The staff is always super kind and helpful. The spot is so dope! I loved how this one is all one level vs the Midtown location. Me and my friend went on a Friday night and had our friendly competition going. I prefer going in the evenings after 7 (because it's 21+ but did see a couple with their kiddo) . The DJ was going so the music fit the vibe as well. The food was amazing, they have PLENTY of seating -indoor and outdoor seating plus bar- our server didn't bother or hover but was attentive from afar. Overall a fun experience. I've been to the West Midtown location several times times. We tried Dunwoody out the same week they opened. We enjoyed this location. The food was pretty good. We had the empanadas and the Persian chicken skewers. They were pretty good. The drinks were A1. We had PuttShack Palomas and Top Shelf Margaritas. They were great. The service was great. Our waitress was good and the drink server on the course was even better. The only negative was that two of the courses weren't working. It was only a couple of days after opening so we understood. Went to celebrate hubby's birthday. I wasn't impressed by the service at all. Making reservations online for dining and golf was easy. We walked-in without greeting and figured out the process on our own. We ordered the kids cheeseburger, Cajun shrimp skewers, Greek lamb and beef pita and jalapeño cheeseburger. I would give the food 7 out of 10 for taste. My hubby and I got our food but our kid's food didn't make it out. After flagging our waitress down and notifying the manager, about 15 minutes later our son finally got his meal. Nothing was done for the inconvenience. And he never received his dessert. I will plan to eat somewhere else next time. The golfing experience was great and seamless. The courses were fun. Loved that we could bring out drinks with us and there were stands at each game.
