I loved this place! I was hesitant at first thinking that a restaurant inside an attraction would be sub-par, but they blew my food out of the water. It was fantastic and the service was great. I don't think I've ever had a plate as delicious as this one!

For the price I think 3.5 stars is fair. We came for Holiday Nights and it really is a great double date spot. The restaurant is beautiful and feels high end and modern. The food had some seasoning issues though. The half chicken tasted only of rosemary and needed salt and acid. The scallops were absolutely delicious and the frisée was a great touch, but the menu mentioned a bacon jam and I did not taste any bacon at all. My friend enjoyed his steak au poivre. Another friend had the duck confit which she said was delicious and well seasoned, although the beans and sun dried tomatoes did not seem to work with the dish. Service was standard. Holiday Nights are always packed so it gets busy, but everything moved at a normal pace. Overall, upscale, beautiful, expensive, and mostly great.

Absolutely beautiful and delicious, all nestled into the wonderful environment of the gardens. Dinner service was fantastic, our server suggested fantastic win pairings and made sure our meal was delightful. For a starter, we snacked on the Cheese and Charcuterie plate, and for dinner, we selected the braised short rib and white lamb bolognese: DELICIOUS!!! Would love to get back here and try more selections from the fun and plentiful menu.

The restaurant is beautiful with floor to ceiling windows allowing you to fully take in the gardens while you stop in for a meal. The experience was better than I expected. The portion sizes of the food is quite small, especially considering the price. I ordered the duck and while the protein was seasoned beautifully, I didn't quite understand the beans as an accompaniment. The dish was very brown and was not aesthetically pleasing. It could use a revamp.

Came in today (Tuesday June 10, 2025) around 12:30pm while visiting the gardens. What a great day to have lunch on the patio. The weather was perfect did us anyway we got to sit on the patio, under the roof of the restaurant and enveloped in the gorgeous green canopy of the beautiful botanical gardens. We had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated even though there were many open tables. After being seated we waited about 15 minutes for our server. There seemed to be only 2 or possible 3 servers for the whole restaurant so perhaps they had a staffing shortage today. Luckily we happened to get the best server ever by the name of Akeem's, who is extremely pleasant, professional and efficient. We had already chosen our appetizers and entrees so we were able to give our orders right away. The food came out pretty quickly once we ordered which was great. For an appetizer to share we had the Tartare of Beef, which was wagyu beef, bone marrow, chanterelle and egg yolk, anchovie aioli with chips. The flavor of this was incredible, you could faintly taste every little ingredient, but they were distinct and yet melded together well. Next appetizer we had the poached pear/coppa de corse flatbread, which is basically pizza. This dish is incredibly good. I can't say I'm not sure if there was a pear flavor, it's hard to describe the flavor really, but it was incredibly fresh and tasty with a very light crust, topped with arugula. Really enjoyed this "pizza". Our entree was the dish and chips which normally is "halibut " and fries, but they had no halibut so substituted with rainbow trout. There's a big difference between halibut and rainbow trout but we bit the bullet and tried it. The trout was fresh tasting enough but the breading/crust really took away from the flavor, and it very dry. As for the fries, I'm not big on fries but these were very unique. I couldn't describe the flavor exactly, it was if they were seasoned with some kind of spices you might find on a piece of chicken or maybe even fish (?), again I'm not sure but they were extremely fresh, very tasty and incredibly light with very little grease for french fries. We just had eaters with our meals since we would be walking the gardens after. So for 3 small dishes and waters we paid $64. We probably should have not ordered the fish and chips since they didn't have halibut so that was a disappointment. Our server Ajeema was the spotlight of the visit. If more restaurants had staff members of such caliber the world would be a better place. Since it was my friends birthday today and Ajeemas is also close she was nice enough to bring out a small pastry to celebrate; man that was like the absolute best thing ever and really made our day! Thanks again Ajeema and hope you have the best birthday ever! Parking is ample and of course the location and atmosphere is impeccable. Definitely recommend.

Really nice to have a proper sit down restaurant at the botanical garden. Good food and drinks.

    Burger and fries.

The restaurant is located within the Botanical Gardens, which you have to pay an entrance fee and there is a parking fee. But, if already in the Garden, then it's a good place to eat. The food was good. The burger and fries were delicious and the chicken with veggies was very good. The interior was pleasant and very clean. The service was good but it was slow, even though there seemed to be many wait staff and not too many diners.

Food was good. I had the steak. Flavorful but very skimp and small.. not "fine dining" enough to justify its small size for the price.. Ambience was cool but at the same time very busy. Waitress forgot my water when she poured every once else one but she was nice and attentive otherwise. The company I was with thought the food was solid as well. Not bad for a date night

Well, not what I was hoping for. They were out of half of their cocktail menu. They were out of shrimp as well which is what my friend wanted on her salad. The chocolate cake was very dry. For a 125$ dinner I had higher hopes. Definitely won't come back. The ambiance was nice and I enjoyed the flatbread everything else was disappointing.

Such a beautiful space, service was great even with such a busy lunch rush. They were out of quite a bit items of the small menu. I wanted some of them but I really enjoyed my 2nd choices very much. I had the crab n grilled peach salad with a side of truffle fries

I came at an off time by myself (well with a book) and it was just so pleasant. The waiter was friendly and nice, the space has this soft lighting with a lot of natural light too, and overall it felt really serene. I didn't feel rushed to leave either. I ordered the mushroom risotto with a side of salmon and a glass of wine and it was all delicious. I will say the only negative experience (if you could even call it negative) is that the hostess initially looked at me like I was a vagrant, said something along the lines of "are you looking for something?" and only softened when I said no that I wanted to eat (which was awkward because I've never had to state my purpose when walking into a restaurant before, but again it was an off time so that might've been why). Overall a nice experience and I would go back!

We came here for a birthday dinner celebration and we met with great customer service and a lovely atmosphere. There was a jazz trio performing, and the ambience of the restaurant was great. We were seated in an area that had a lot of traffic so some of us were bumped multiple times by servers, food going over our heads, people swinging their jackets, it just seemed as if the tables were a bit too close together. The food. We ordered the shrimp appetizer, the fried green tomatoes, and the pork belly. All of these were delicious, though we did feel like the tomatoes could've been a little crispy. The Carolina gold sauce on the pork belly was a nice tangy combination with the protein, and the shrimp had a surprisingly good sauce. The issue that we fell into with two urban licks were the mains ... We felt that the rotisserie chicken was a bit dry, and flavor was confusing as it was presenting as tandoori, but had an underlying flavor we just couldn't get into. The market fish on the menu for the day was a red snapper, and it didn't come with any sides, but it seemed like the fish was simply fried in the oil and it didn't have any seasoning or underlying flavor which we were disappointed in. The Hawaiian wahoo fish was a bit overcooked, and the "jerk" short ribs leaned more habanero salsa in the taste. The coconut rice and peas that went along with it was also dry, without coconut taste, and missed the mark for us. We are Caribbean and this was a disappointment to experience. The description on the page oversold it just a bit. We were able to call the manager, and they removed the chicken dish from our bill and took half of the final price of the short rib from our bill as well, and that was appreciated! Looking around the restaurant, it seemed like everyone was enjoying their meal, though we could never know what conversations were being had at those tables, and it just seems like this restaurant was not for us personally! Great service, but due to the food, we don't plan to return

They had several staff dedicated to us. Water, apps and wine service was quick and efficient. The food was absolutely delicious. I had many compliments on both the food and wine. For starters we had Tuna Tartare Chips and greens (salad). Both were excellent. For mains we had the salmon and roast chicken. Brussels sprouts and whipped potatoes for sides. I'd been seeing Staplehouse all over Instagram and hearing about their Michelin Guide recognition,…read moreso I was excited to finally give it a try. As somebody who genuinely loves food and especially Italian sandwiches, I ordered the Italian Grinder for pickup. Now, a little context. I'm a newer parent, and that day I was dressed casually sweats, hoodie, hat, just running around handling life. Nothing crazy. I only mention that because when I went in to pick up my order, the interaction left me uncomfortable. Two employees greeted me, and after I confirmed my name for the pickup, one of them held onto the bag tightly and asked me again if I was sure the order was mine, joking about making sure I wasn't stealing it. I laughed it off in the moment, but honestly, I couldn't fully tell if it was meant as a joke or not. And to be fair, I don't want to assume malicious intent or act like I know what was in that person's heart. But I also have to be honest about how it felt. I genuinely don't believe that same joke or comment would've been made to somebody who looked less "threatening," older, or dressed differently than me. Whether intentional or unconscious, moments like that stick with people. I'm a father, a dancer, a creative, and somebody who tries to greet people warmly and respectfully wherever I go. So walking out of there, I just felt a little judged instead of welcomed. The sandwich itself? Solid. Definitely good food. I'd give the grinder a 4 out of 5. But food is also tied to experience, and unfortunately the interaction took away from it for me. I don't think I'll be going back, but I do hope this feedback is received with understanding and not defensiveness, because perception and hospitality matter too.

I only found out when I got the bill. When I questioned it, she basically said she couldn't control the system. My issue isn't even the $3. If you're out of the side that comes with the meal, customers shouldn't have to pay extra for a replacement. And I definitely don't appreciate surprise charges on my bill. I had my child with me, so I wasn't about to go back and forth over $3. I paid it and kept it moving. Another surprise was that they don't offer free water. If you want water, you have to buy a bottle. Between paying for parking, paying for bottled water, and no drink refills, the little charges started adding up. I felt "nickled and dimed." The music couldn't decide what vibe it wanted. One minute we could talk normally, and the next minute we were basically at a concert. There was also a leak in the ceiling, and near the restrooms there was a smell that reminded me of old wet towels. On the positive side, the host was amazing. He was super personable and welcoming. They also turn those tables over FAST. By the time we paid, our dishes were gone and the table was already cleaned and ready for the next group. The food is what saved this review.
