Purple Rice is slowly becoming my favorite in the area for being consistent, delicious, and reliable. I placed my order online and within 25 minutes, it was at my door. I went with a few classics this time. Everything was addictive, fulfilling, and hit the spot! The Shrimp Fried Rice is one of the best I've had. The fried rice has that brown tint that I always look for, the shrimp were succulent, and the egg & veggies added some nice color and texture. The Beef Lo Mein was super savory with that same addictive bite from the noodles and umami beef flavor. The Chicken w Broccoli was surprising! There was tons of fresh ginger which I loved but it could've have been less saucy/greasy. The Original Fried Chicken Wings paired well with the Shrimp Fried Rice and Beef Lo Mein but on their own, it wasn't anything special and not as flavorful or fried well as other Chinese takeout spots. Food quality has taken a nose dive here lately and it's way overpriced. The lo mein noodles are like dry rubber bands with no vegetables added and the sesame chicken(?) is gloopy, chewy, and bland. read more

This place is the only authentic Chinese restaurant in town. The mince pork dish is very authentic Taiwanese along with many other dishes that I can only get here. Other places serve food for white people, I'm sorry it's true lol. read more

We were looking forward to trying this place, and finally got takeout and it was honestly just not good. We had the dumplings, beef, and wonton soup, all of which were pretty unappetizing. The meat was chewy and the soup was just plain bland. I don't enjoy being a negative critique, but could not recommend this place in good conscience and will not be going back again. read more

This is a well-lit and clean space designed more for take out than dine in (only two small tables and a counter inside, with another 8 seats outside; no wait service). Had lunch with my wife and over ordered a bit, but worth it to try the delicious assortment of food. There is a kiosk or someone at the counter to order (kiosk is helpful as it has pics of menu items). Menu is divided into appetizers, dim sum, chef specials, teriyaki, noodles and rice (basically same menu items served with either noodles or rice). And of course a wide arrange of bubble and Asian-inspired milk teas. All the food was excellent. We had the fried pork bun (great with a gingery soy dipping sauce), rainbow XiaoLongBao (soup dumplings), chicken curry and spicy beef strip noodle. The sim sim was hot, with the soup dumplings having plenty of soup inside with yummy spiced pork. Ordered rice with the chicken, which wasn't necessary as it is served with onions, peppers and crispy potatoes, but good for soaking up the extra curry sauce which was delicious. Beef noodles were spicy as advertised, served with Nik Chou, fried egg and mini mushrooms. Price was a bit high when first ordering, but as I said we over ordered and quality of food was very good. I wouldn't dine in again (plastic utensils and serving containers, not plates) but looking forward to takeout/delivery in the future! read more

Super nice and brand new to the neighborhood and still not fully open but can't wait for that. Very bright and clean and very friendly staff. Nice menu but need some desserts like a purple yam ice cream maybe. I had just the one dish which was minced pork with noodles and mushrooms . Arrived in a bowl with the noodles in the bottom and a separate section with the pork, mushrooms, egg and some Chinese broccoli. Mixed everything together and was excellent and very tasty sauce. I would give the food five stars - it is made fresh and very flavorful- servings generous. The overall 3 star rating is the service which I give a 2 at best - the server presented us with the food with no utensils or napkins - when I asked for forks, he looked confused then I saw that they only had chopsticks at the counter - good thing our group could use chopsticks. It surprised me that they didn't offer both Then I had to ask separately for napkins as none were provided and none were available at the counter. When I found out that the place was opened for 2 months - I figure the kinks would have been worked out - considering we are talking about napkins and utensils in a food place - it was disappointing read more

i come here at least once a week, the pork belly over rice is phenomenal. I always order more rice on the side because i like having rice with each bite of the pork belly. I've also gotten the lo mein and hot pot beef noodles, the lo mein was okay but the hot pot beef noodles are also very good. the boba is also very tasty and service is always quick. My friend and I ordered two things and split them: pepper beef juanbing burrito and the braised eggplant which comes with rice. Both were very good but the burrito was the star. The portion of rice is meant for one person, so I am glad we ordered the burrito as well because it was filling. The time it took to get our food was on the long side even though there weren't many people. I figured out though delivery orders made them very busy, so the wait made sense. I ordered a hot pot beef noodle and i can genuinely say that it was one of the tastiest meals i've had in a very long time, sooo full of flavor, the beef was nice and soft, the noodles were perfect and don't get me started w the broth..
