I placed this order on UberEats and each item was $4 more than if you order directly from the restaurant. I had a coupon which made it worth it but otherwise, I would recommend ordering direct. The Maki Roll Combo B is a pretty solid mix of rolls. The Spicy Tuna & Salmon Avocado are my usually go-to's and were both delicious! The fish was fresh, the rice layer was thin, and it was super filling. The Eel Cucumber was terrible and was sadly thrown out. There was so little eel and the parts I could taste were so fatty and not fresh. I also got 2 Signature Rolls which tasted good and satisfied my craving but nothing to write home about. If you're looking for "more dressed" rolls then you might enjoy it and it's reasonably priced when you order Any 2 or 3! The miso soup & ginger salad they came with were also nice complimentary additions. Again, not the best I've had but does the job. Decent try but I don't think it'll be my go-to. read more

I stopped by Avocado Sushi in Hoboken and ordered dinner to go, and it was such a pleasant experience! I got the Dragon Roll with cucumber and eel, topped with sliced avocado, and it tasted super fresh and delicious. I was craving miso soup too, but thought it came as part of a combo and didn't order it since it was extra. When my food was ready, the woman at the register surprised me by including a miso soup on the house such a kind and thoughtful gesture that really made my night The restaurant itself was clean and welcoming, and it wasn't too busy when I came in. I was shopping nearby and figured, why not grab some yummy sushi for dinner I ordered in person, and my food was ready in about 10 minutes, very quick with no long wait at all. I was able to sit down, relax, and scroll on my phone while waiting. Overall, great food, fast service, and really friendly staff. Got the crazy salmon roll and it was damn near inedible with the gluey sauce on top. The banana tempura roll could have been good but ended up just sort of weird and we just ate the banana part. The individual pieces we got were fresh and good quality but the rolls were just not great. read more

The sashimi was some of the best I have ever had: large portion of extremely fresh fish (like melts in the mouth fresh!). Huge selection of rolls and the three that we got were very good! Surf and turf was actually delicious and would 10/10 buy again! Service was excellent, not a single dirty dish sat on the table for more than a minute or two. Avocado sushi is my go-to sushi spot for delivery when I'm staying in Hoboken. I would say that their sushi is consistently good and the wait time is usually not long! I like what I like when it comes to sushi so I usually just do a few classic rolls such as spicy salmon, spicy tuna and/or spicy crab. My wife and I were looking to get sushi for lunch, and we happened to drive by this spot and saw the "Grand Opening" sign. They have such good lunch special options! We got two lunch specials that was $15.95 each. The waitress was very kind and friendly, and the food came out quickly too. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. The special roll we got, Boston and Alaskan rolls were delicious. The food is good and we ordered from them quite often once we found them. Tonight we waited 1.5hrs to receive our order (ordered thru their website which was apparently passed along to Door Dash). When I called the restaurant we were told that the original delivery driver was bringing our order back to the restaurant and another driver was going to deliver our order. No further explanation. Because so much time had gone by and the hot food would be cold by the time the second driver would have delivered it, I asked that the order be canceled. The person I spoke with at Avacado Sushi said he would not cancel the order or issue a refund. He then said "That is Door Dash's problem." Nothing about us receiving 1.5hr old food, nothing about replacing it, nothing regarding proper customer service at all. Such a disappointment as this was a nearly $80 order. Today was my 3rd time ordering but after today I am never ordering from this place again. I ordered online and my order was supposed to be ready at 11:15am. I drove since they don't deliver past 3 miles and I live 3.3 miles away. So I arrived at 11:15am and the restaurant was CLOSED. At 11:25am, the workers started arriving to the restaurant. It is now 12:10pm and I have missed a work meeting BECAUSE I AM STILL WAITING FOR MY ORDER. I would've left long ago if they didn't keep LYING to me for 40 MINUTES about my order being ready soon! Meanwhile they were pumping out other delivery orders and ignoring mine. In the end I waited ONE HOUR at the restaurant for my order. The icing on the top? They forgot 2 soups.
