Sushi and Sashimi Combo for 2
Sheera V.

This is my new favorite sushi place. The fish tasted fresh and the price is right. The rolls in the combo weren't my favorite but still tasted good. It's a BYOB but there is a liquor store next door in case you don't bring something with you. I will go back to try more of their special rolls

Avocado And Cucumber Roll and Vegetable Yaki Udon
Gabby A.

Okinawa is a small Asian spot in Hoboken. They have an extensive menu that has something for everyone, including plenty of vegetarian options. We got the seaweed salad, avocado & cucumber roll, and vegetable yaki udon. We felt the portion for the yaki udon was smaller than some of the other spots in Hoboken, but it honestly is a great size for one person for dinner, if you get an appetizer or roll with it. While none of our food was anything memorable, we enjoyed our time and will likely be back.

Good place, perfectly presented food, great environment with service on point & hottie sushi chefs. (I said it) Lunch specials are niiice. Easy price with enough food to sustain yuh. What's awesomely awesome is the parking right outside & IYKYK parking is beeeyatch in Hoboken, so this will the be The Spot for a great meal. Go!

Amazing sushi- great specialty rolls & regular ones, give plenty of fish and don't give excess rice

Trio Spicy Roll, Sweet Potato Roll, Philadelphia Roll

My go to place for sushi in Hoboken! We've ordered takeout countless times and it's always been fresh and tasty. We dined in once for a birthday (BYOB) and while it was quiet and lacking ambiance, sushi presentation was great. Absolutely loved the Trio Spicy special roll and will continue ordering from here as long as i'm in Hoboken!

The sushi was very fresh and delicious! The portions are fantastic, sometimes places skimp on the amount of fish in the rolls, but these were perfect. Definitely my new go-to spot in Hoboken for sushi!

Finding decent sushi in this town is like finding a needle in a haystack. When it comes to sushi, Okinawa is by far the best and has been my go-to spot for dining in or ordering taking out. I've only tried the sushi here, but they do offer other Japanese, Thai and Chinese entrees. The specialty rolls are fairly large and their basic rolls are fresh and tasty. If dining in, the restaurant is BYOB! However, you may have to wait a bit if you come later on Friday or the weekends. Delivery has always been fast and they've always gotten my orders right. Highly recommend!

Spicy Salmon Avocado and Angry Dragon- yum! ( both with brown rice)
T. G.

Solid delivery experience and good quality. I've ordered from here many times through the years and always had a positive experience. Tonight I needed my sush fix so I ordered a Spicy Salmon Avocado Roll and the Angry Dragon Roll- both with brown rice. It came fairly quickly and everything was delicious. I also find this a great spot to pick up if you have a car since they have a parking lot! I've also had their kani salad and dumplings - both are good! Would recommend!

The menu kind of reflects this struggle too, as it can't seem to decide if it wants to offer more traditional Japanese sushi-ya fare or something more innovative. As a result, we kind of wound up with the middling middle with our choice of 4 specialty rolls: 1) Saku: Probably the best and most traditional of our rolls with salmon and avocado inside, and ponzu, chives and crispy shallots on the outside. 2) Lobster: Not enough lobster salad inside to justify the overuse of miso-yuzu mayo, and just a whole ton of filler nonsense going on outside wrapped in pink soy paper. 3) Drop It Like Its Hot: Not spicy enough to justify the cute name. This should've been an easy slam dunk in flavor, but everything felt kind of bland and flat. Maybe due to the lack of nori. 4) Crunch Drunk Love: Lots of fish, but again, not enough flavor. We also got the Edamame with Spicy Miso Butter, which was just OK--the butter was weirdly sour. I wouldn't order it again. In fact, I....wouldn't really order anything here again.

I'm not the biggest fan of cream cheese in my roll so my least favorite was the Philadelphia roll. I ordered a peach iced tea. The service was great and attentive. When we walked in without a reservation we were able to be seated right away as it wasn't busy. As we started to eat our rolls, the restaurant did get busier with time. Dates and families coming in for their dinner. I have to be honest and say the shrimp shumai wasn't all that special but overall the presentation of the sushi and taste was pretty good. The shumai tasted okay to me, I have had better elsewhere and they looked different. They were tiny. All in all, I would come back and recommend this restaurant to sushi lovers. 10/10 restaurant recommendation.

Overall: 4 stars…read more Quite impressed by the creativity and selection of ingredients that work for their special rolls, all fairly priced around $15 each. The sushi tastes quite good and definitely stands on par with places in the big city as well. My only gripe is that the packaging arrived with the sushi turned 90 degrees, which caused a lot of things to leak during delivery, which could be attributed to the Doordasher. Crazy Salmon Roll - Spicy salmon on the inside, then topped with more salmon and ikura on top, which is perfect for a salmon lover presenting salmon essentially three ways. The mayo adds some creaminess to balance out the spice. Hidden Dragon Roll - Shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, and banana on the inside creates an intriguing spicy and sweet profile; this is topped with spicy king crab on the top, which creates a complex profile with every bite. Beauty & Beast - Creamed lobster and shrimp tempura in the middle to create a balance of texture of creamy and crunchy, then topped with tuna eel and tobiko to create a beautiful work. I placed this order on UberEats and each item was $4 more than if you order directly from the restaurant. I had a coupon which made it worth it but otherwise, I would recommend ordering direct. The Maki Roll Combo B is a pretty solid mix of rolls. The Spicy Tuna & Salmon Avocado are my usually go-to's and were both delicious! The fish was fresh, the rice layer was thin, and it was super filling. The Eel Cucumber was terrible and was sadly thrown out. There was so little eel and the parts I could taste were so fatty and not fresh. I also got 2 Signature Rolls which tasted good and satisfied my craving but nothing to write home about. If you're looking for "more dressed" rolls then you might enjoy it and it's reasonably priced when you order Any 2 or 3! The miso soup & ginger salad they came with were also nice complimentary additions. Again, not the best I've had but does the job. Decent try but I don't think it'll be my go-to.

I had the Lincoln Harbor roll which was EXCELLENT. Even my friend who does not like sushi liked it I also had the Blu Filet mignon which was stuff with blue cheese. I'm more of a rib eye gal but I wanted to try it with the blue steak and was pretty good and the truffled cream Spanish was just wow . You have to like truffle like I do :) Friend had shrimp cocktail and the lobster fra diavolo and love it as well . Our waitress was friendly though a touch "sales-y" (continuously asking if we wanted to add extra stuff to our order) but otherwise good service overall. There was a gentleman who came later to check on us, seemed to be the manager, and he was also very kind and made sure we were being taken care of. We ordered the octopus to start and then for the main meal got steak and lobster. Thought everything was good - the lobster pasta had a bit of a spicy kick to it more than expected. For dessert we got the tiramisu which we were told was made in house. The tiramisu was definitely our favorite dish. A nicely decorated restaurant that's good for a date night or a nice night out. Good views as well. The music can be pretty loud and when we were there, there was even a violinist walking around as she played which was unique. All in all, I'd say it's worth a visit if you're by the area.
