They will get you in for an exam but will never answer the phone when you call after the fact for rx questions. My daughter needed her prescription adjusted since she is very young and has never worn glasses before. Everytime I've called they never answered and forget about going in person. Been going to this facility for a couple years. Easy visits for me (glasses) and my son who needed contacts and glasses. Dr is friendly and kind, so my son was at ease for the whole exam. Dr also helped son get accustomed to contacts. Got both prescriptions and went next door to Costco glasses, which are also friendly and good quality. read more

Wow - Jayleen is actually terrible It started with a misunderstanding of appointment time. I called on my way because I had written down that my appointment time was at 5:30 and I was going to be 8 minutes late. When I got there she rudely informed me that my appointment was at 5. I told her that I must have written it down wrong and apologized and she said "well we send out email reminders too," also rudely. She gave me papers and told me to fill them out and wait outside (rudely). Then, I incorrectly and accidentally checked a box for consent and she *rudely* corrected me "I said...." and made me wait outside. When I was called into be seen, she asked me to stand and I misheard and sat. She was SO rude and said "I SAID STAND." I literally just had to walk out at that point. I have been seen here several times in the past and have had great experiences (to the point that I pay cash instead of going to where my insurance covers for free) but today I could not get past the terribly RUDE receptionist. Such a huge bummer because I really love the idea physician I see here. read more

This is a review for the pure vision in Moreno Valley. The staff at the Moreno Valley location are so much more professional and friendly than the San Bernardino location. I will drive the 30 mins extra any time. The staff are caring and understanding. Especially Ruby, she's delightful and has great patient rapport. Just A+. I've been going to the optometrist at this location for 20 years since Dr. Dean was there. I heard wonderful things when Dr. Nguyen took over and tried my hardest to make an appointment during my short visit to CA. This review does not reflect the doctors or their skills since I never even got a chance to speak/meet them. This is in entirely a review of the appointment making process/front desk. First of all, the phone rings non-stop with no answer and no way to leave a voicemail until it's after hours (of the entire Costco and only through the Costco general number). Second, even if they call you back, they leave the same business number that rings indefinitely to call back. I called back within a minute of a missed call because I was driving and the phone kept ringing for eternity again with no answer. Finally, I went in person hoping to be a walk-in (as written on their door) but was told they stopped taking walk-ins and asked me to make an appointment, something I had been trying for the past week! The front desk person gave me an appointment for two days later eventually, and I even got a text message to confirm the appointment. But when I called again because I had a question (and to possibly change the time), again with the phone ringing forever!! Seriously, please get call waiting, a voicemail system, more staff in the front office, or all of the above! Even after all that, I still would have come here for an eye exam IF I could just get through to speak with the staff. But at this point, it is much easier to get an eye exam elsewhere. read more

Dr. Nguyen was very pleasant and helpful to work with, while being efficient and punctual. Her receptionist was welcoming, and her assistants were very respectful and had excellent customer service. I really hate the eye puff part of the eye exam, and the assistant conducting it was sensitive to my needs and made sure I felt comfortable. Dr. Kelsey is very friendly and professional. She really cares for her patients and takes her time with each of them to make sure they are happy with their glasses. I didn't even have to wait long to see her even though I was a walk in during a busy time. It really shows how efficient Dr. Kelsey and her staff are. The office also has advanced technology to see my eye health without having to use eye drops to dilate my eyes. That was super convenient because I had to drive to work right after. Greatest optometrist everrrrr! Dr. Kelsey might be young but don't let that fool you! Dr. Kelsey made my walk-in annual check up and contacts fitting a breeze. She did not just perform the usual check up stuff but explained to me what she was doing and why it was necessary. Initially I was extremely nervous to get a contact fitting because I don't like anything in my eyes. Dr. Kelsey walked me through it without poking my eyes out! I am still not comfortable with contacts but I am able to put them on now. The office is nice, clean staffs are extremely helpful, and I am glad that I randomly stumbled into this place after getting my Costco rotisserie chicken! ( can't beat Costco chicken! This place is amazing! I had an appointment for 10:30am and arrived a few minutes early to my appointment. They gave me some paperwork to fill out since I was a new patient but it only took a few minutes to fill out. I was then immediately seen by the optometric technician so that they could start pretesting me. Of course, part of the pretesting included testing my eye pressure so that meant that they would have to blow a puff of air into my eye. I normally hate this part, but the staff member was able to get it on the first try in each eye! All the other places I have been to has had to repeat the test numerous times since I would blink so much out of fear. Once I was done being pretested, I sat back down for a few minutes and then was seen by Dr. K. The doctor was very kind and understanding. I did not feel that she was rushing me at all, despite how busy this office is. She addressed all my concerns and made sure that I did not have any questions when I walked out of the room. I then checked out at the front desk and was handed my prescription for my glasses. They do take walk ins, but it is highly recommended to make an appointment so that you don't have to wait. Because of how busy this office is, I was surprised that I was in and out within 30 minutes. I was expecting my appointment to take over an hour but they were very on time and everything went smoothly. The flow of this office is very efficient and all the staff members are very nice. This will now be my go to place for my annual eye exams! read more
