I love love this place I have been coming here for over 5 years now. Dr. Nguyen is just amazing, as well as her staff they are very friendly. I live in Apple Valley and the last eye doctor I had retired. I had to look for someone else. At the time I didn't have insurance and I was trying to find the most affordable place to get my eye exam done. I found her office and decided to give it a try even though it was a bit far away from me. Im glad I did, I have been coming here ever since. I've had all my family members get their eye exams here. I am still a very loyal customer. They take really good care of our eyes. All the staff and Dr. Laura always greet us like we are fam. read more

Dr. Laura Nguyen and her staff are the absolute best. We've been making the drive out here for our annual check ups for the past 7 years and our experience has been great every time. I appreciate that Dr. Nguyen takes her time to explain things to us and thoroughly answer all of our questions. We recently took both of our toddlers in for their first check ups and and the doctor was awesome at connecting with them and getting them comfortable with the tests. Tony and the staff are always friendly and efficient. I noticed that every patient walking in is quickly greeted , which is so much more than I can say for some of the other offices I've been to. Since COVID, I've noticed that the office has taken even more precautions to ensure everyone's the safety. Masks are required for everyone entering the office and this includes the doctor and her entire staff. The seats in the wait area are amply spaced out, and there's never more than 2 families in the office with plenty of room for social distancing - which to me is an indication of proper scheduling and timing. The office staff is constantly wiping down hard surface areas and cleaning glasses after they are touched. I felt totally comfortable and safe there and would highly recommend this office. read more

I been coming here for years. Always good customer service. And clean office. The new office location is nice with more of selections on glasses. I think their glasses that medi-cal covers needs to be updated. They only have glasses that are really outdated. They only have wired frames for that. Someone can pay $20 for the plastic frames. I feel like that's what they want people to do because the wire frames are not cute. They do have name brands like ray bans, juicy couture, or coach. Overall, that's my only issue is better glasses for medi-cal patients. I have been to other places and they have better selections for kids and adults. read more

Dr. Laura and Tony & staff at Clear Vision Optometry in San Bernardino & Riverside have are so wonderful and compassionate toward their patients. My 89 year old mother lost her glasses and had managed to dig up a pair that must have been more than 15 years old, outdated, scratched & crooked, she could barely see out of then. I called, explained the situation they managed to fit her in. Tony and the entire staff made my fragile mother truly feel like a Queen. They all wished her a happy birthday and made her feel so special. They found a pair of frames that fit her perfectly! Tony has such a great flare for picking the best glasses for your shape face. They look amazing! I've been going here for 10-15 years now. Prices are steep but I go for Dr. Laura. Customer service is hit and miss. Some of the girls are sweet and some of them are rude and bitter as black coffee. I came in today because I think I have an eye infection and one of the girls said they can put me back on my old type of contacts. I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure that's not going to fix my issue if i had an infection. They weren't really helpful or corcerned. They seemed like deer running into headlights since the manager wasn't in the office at the time. They talked about me right in front of me. I later came back to get a copy of my prescription and pay out my bill. This time the manager was there and he was very calm while speaking to me, however he was still unhelpful and unconcerned about my issue and his demeanor and attitude towards me was very unprofessional. I will no longer come to this office for any services. They cater to the Hispanic community so I'm sure you'll get good service if you're in that category. I had to go to another optometry office to get an eye exam to see what was going on with my eye. I do not have an eye infection, it was the newly prescribed contacts that was giving me my problem (the contacts from Clear Vision). I think it's ridiculous that Clear Vision wouldn't see me unless I paid for another eye exam ($90) when I was just in on 10/19/12 with a bill racked up for $500+ (cash patient). I would not recommend this office to anyone I know. read more

The office recently moved just down the street. They're now on the corner of Waterman and Mill. I've been going to Dr. Laura Nguyen for over a decade, and I trust my eyes and my family's with her. She's really great, very knowledgeble, and friendly. The staff are great, too. They take nearly any type of insurance but will also work with you on payment of services and products. Horrible do not go here!!! Rude receptionist (year after year folks!) Poor eye care for children (5 years old still "waiting for approval for stigmatism ) 12 months ..what a joke!! Not a kid place obviously. Will not be bringing the child back! After making an appointment, and waiting for over 45 minutes, they stated they had no insurance coverage at that point, wow what a bunch of village idiots! Thanks for wasting my time fools. Consumer Beware, try San Bernardino Eye Specialist, much better service and correct scheduling of insurance, friendly and smart. I came back here to fill my sons new prescription as they were actually able to fill the high prescription he had. With the insurance used, it took exactly 3 weeks from picking out the frames to walking out with them. When they were ready for pickup, everyone was extremely accommodating to my busy schedule and accepted me as a same day walk-in at 5:45....15 minutes before they close at 6! A couple measurements were needing to be done so I appreciated this service greatly. We walked out at 6:10. Glasses fit perfect and my son enjoyed the small talk the assistant was making with him. read more

I've been coming to Clear Vision for almost 10-years. Every visit is exceptional, from the second I walk in I am greeted by the lovely front desk team, Dr Laura and Tony (manager), are caring, they call me by my first name. I feel so at home with this clinic. Dr Laura has beautiful bedside manner. I am very jumpy and working on eyes is such a sensitive task. She and the team are excellent at communicating, she is competent and delivers care in such a compassionate way, providing a sense of reassurance and calmness. I used to live in San Bernardino but moved to LA five years ago. Tony mails my contacts and makes sure I receive them in a timely fashion. I continue to go back to Clear Vision (amongst the 1-hour 20-minute drive), and have referred many family and friends because I know they're in great hands. So I've been to Clear Vision for about 5 years now and for me its been good.I took my $425 Tom Ford in to put my prescription in and Clear Vision took care of it for me. Their prices are reasonable if you have no insurance. Their range of selections is okay not good but not bad. I came in today and actually ended up with 2 pairs. The lady who checked my sight today was very detailed and attentive and she took the time looked through my file to make sure everything is okay and even checked back on my family history chart. Clear Vision was a beautiful surprise to me over 15 years ago and still keeps me as a customer! I was in the military in the mid 90s, I had used an eye doctor in San Diego. I was home on leave and explained I had a 3 day window to get in, they said "sorry". My next stop was the IE where my parents lived. I called Clear Vision and they could get me in immediately. When I moved back to the IE, they helped me set up a plan for my family company. Helping the employees get affordable vision coverage. Next, I opted for Lasik. They were wonderful in all my pre and post operation. Then my vision was perfect...so what now? I took my daughter there for her school start exam. Sent my husband there when he kept asking for another bigger TV, and most recently took my niece in. They are ALWAYS awesome. Quick, kind, helpful, flexible, non-judgemental, etc. As an almost 20 year customer, I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. read more

Omg this place is amazing!!! I took my 3 year old daughter today for her first eye exam since me and my husband both have glasses. We knew she would need them sometime sooner or later. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by everyone there and Tony asked her if she wanted to watch a movie and let her pick. When they went to check her eyes for astigmatism and shape ect she flipped. Like started screaming and crying and was scared because the noises it made. They offered to do it on me ect. Then Tony went next door and bought her cookies and juice to calm her down and let her take a five minute break. She was good to go then. Everyone was so patient and kind with her and went above and beyond in customer service and patient service. So thank you everyone for being amazing. We found our permanent eye place. read more

This place is horrible service. They don't even smile when you come in. Unless you have an appointment you better bring a book. I had order my prescription glasses and waited 2 weeks for them and they came out wrong, not to mention they didn't even call me to let me know that my glasses were in. On both times. I have been coming to this place since it was across the street and now moved. I baught expensive glasses and in the process of picking them the girl advertised a 50 dollar lense renewal of any scratch or damage to the lense not the frame in which I understood. Unsure of it I asked when ever? She said yes never did she give me an expiration date. Why would I ever pay $50 for only a year. Today an employee said it was valid for only a year and what I described as coverage was not for the $50 I paid for. My receipt has no expiration date on it so it is my word against theirs. Nor did I receive an agreement document from the employee at the time of placing my order for my glasses. I asked the girl for a corporate number in which she said they did not have one. I was lied to and paid $50 for NOTHING!!! read more

The contacts that I ordered arrived and I waited a month, no phone call to let me know. Also, they over charged me for services that they insisted weren't a covered benefit with my insurance- which I later confirmed were covered, thus resulting in me finding a new eye doctor. read more

The store is large, clean, and the person with whom I dealt, Anthony, was knowledgeable and helped me find the right frames quickly. He told me it would be approximately 10 days to received the lenses. A week later I got a call that they were in. Great service, pricing, and an early then expected delivery time ? I've been going to the other location in riverside for 14 yrs or since they opened... When I moved to yucaipa I started going to this location and it's an amazing staff who are kind and quick and they really made me want to come back! The other place I was used to. The moody employees and they weren't too caring and they did not have a person who could fix the glasses all the time just once a week. It was always frustrating but I went because I'm a busy mom and it wasn't in my list of priorities to look for a new place although I thought about it all the time! This place on waterman goes the extra mile in customer service!!! So friendly! So caring! They stayed open for me a few minutes as I struggled to get from work before they closed and they didn't rush. They have tony who is absolutely amazing, can't count the times he has fixed both my boys glasses and mine when I accidentally sit on them. It was my first time to go to this place as a patient. I didn't make reservations and I had no insurance. But the people at the front desk were very nice and accommodated me. The doctor was very nice as well. She checked my left eye for scratches, which had a blurry vision after a small particle fell inside two days before and I couldn't take it out after several attempts. She found nothing wrong with my eye and she didn't charge me anything. I will definitely come back and do business with them. read more
