I called on an emergency solar leak, by the time Steve was done we had our pool water filler and sprinklers fixed too.

Chappell's website claims "FREE ESTIMATES on all well services"…read more Don't believe it for a minute. I called them for an estimate to look at and repair my under- performing well pump. They sent a guy out, then mailed me a "service call" invoice for $178.20. After I sent them a letter concerning this issue, they stubbornly insist I owe them the billed amount. Be sure to double-check their math on any estimate from them. Discovered several "errors". One guess in who's favor... No resolution after 2 months, and still receiving billing invoices. Unfortunately, they are currently "the only game in town", and take advantage of that. Given a choice, I would NEVER call them again. Don't make the same mistake I did. Negative 10 stars if possible...

I have worked with Chappell before and it has been fine, I have been living on houses with wells…read morefor years. In this case, we moved into a 1999 house that had no above-ground water tank or booster pumps. I needed all that installed, plus a separate electrical panel for the boosters and also, a manual transfer switch in case of a blackout. Randy was my rep this time and handled it very well. I have never done a project this big with Chappell. I had given another local well-down pump and well company a shot at this job as well, but the rep seemed disinterested, for the first scheduled visit he simply was a no-show to work that week and work had no idea where he was. Since no one was calling me to reschedule, I did follow up and got that rep out, but he seemed disinterested and--after giving me an on-the-spot guesstimate of the job... yes, you guessed it, never followed up with a real quote. Considering that behavior, I put my confidence in Randy from Chappell. The follow up was great, considering it was before, during and after the Xmas holiday, and now we have exactly what we need. See pictures and video: https://youtu.be/EHutDNjMi-c I had the concrete pad poured by my own sub. For Chappell's work: the pictures show the blue pumps, the nice shiny new piping, the green electrical panel and the tank, and some bonuses Randy suggested that I did not even ask for: the cool sight-level disk one can see from quite a ways a way, and a third feed valve on the main piping, in case I need to add something in the future. Very nice touch!

I've had MG Plumbing and Rooter out to my home three separate times through my home warranty, and…read morethey have been consistently excellent. Most recently, Mark handled a garbage disposal leak and a kitchen faucet leak for us. Mark is incredibly knowledgeable and performs a very thorough inspection before starting any work. Beyond just fixing the issue, he provides expert guidance--for example, he suggested I order parts directly through Moen to ensure the best fit and warranty coverage. The repairs and replacements were flawless. Scheduling is always easy, and Mark is punctual with great communication throughout the process. Highly recommended!

Before the appointment, my husband explained the issue in detail and sent photos of the make and model of the unit. When Mark arrived, he looked at the unit and said he needed to contact the manufacturer and would follow up on Monday. We never received that follow-up. There were no missed calls, no voicemail, and no text message. My husband does not block unknown numbers and must answer all calls for work, so there is no record of any attempt to contact us. During this time, we were also dealing with our son unexpectedly needing surgery, which delayed us from calling back sooner. Prior to MG Plumbing's visit, we had already contacted PG&E when we first noticed the gas smell. PG&E did not detect a gas leak, even while running hot water to try to reproduce the issue. Out of caution, we have been turning the gas off when the unit is not in use. The smell appears to occur only when hot water is used in our children's bathroom. When we finally followed up later in the week, we were informed that Mark is not certified to work on Rinnai units, which prevented him from getting information from the manufacturer. Given the safety concern involved, this should have been clearly communicated sooner. Due to the lack of follow-up and communication, we had to start over with a certified plumber. I hope this review remains visible so others can make an informed decision.

I was told one…read morething, while my tenant was given different information, which created unnecessary confusion. After the technician completed the filter service, my water filtration system was not working properly. I contacted the owner expecting them to stand behind their work and help troubleshoot the issue. Instead, without performing an official inspection of the system, I was quickly told that the resin likely needed to be replaced and was quoted approximately $500 for another service visit. My system is only about 5-6 years old, so I was concerned that such an expensive repair was being recommended without properly diagnosing the problem first. We later discovered on our own that the actual issue was that the filtration system settings had not been set correctly after the technicians changed the filters. Once the settings were corrected, the system worked. My biggest concern is the lack of communication and proper troubleshooting. Before recommending a customer spend another $500, especially immediately after your technicians serviced the system, I would expect the company to first verify that the work was completed correctly and that the system settings were properly configured. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would not recommend this company.
