    White Chrome Nails
    Amber D.

I've been looking for a nail shop that does chrome nails! I am visiting Richmond & happened to check this place out. I went with white with chrome on top. Anna did a great job on my nails & toes. I would go again.

We arrived 90 minutes before closing needing pedicures + manicures (party of 2). We went straight to the pedicure bowls and was offered complimentary wine (or mimosas). We selected the organic pedicures with hot stones, paraffin wax, and a luxurious massage! By the time we moved to manicures, they were nearing closing time. Not once did they rush! Another staff member began stocking the stations and sanitizing the bowls. I appreciate them being open on Sundays. Good care.

Nails were done pretty quick. I first got my nails done by Anna and had a great experience. They were $55. Came back for a fill in and unfortunately got a different nail technician. $50 for a Fill in, didn't cut cuticles or anything or change any tips or color on my nails just a fill in. Was disappointed at the price because I could've just had him soak off and do a different set if a fill in is $50. Price menu is very inaccurate

Uneven shaping. Polish looks like it's been grown out for a week

TL;DR: disappointing in customer service AND quality of actual service itself. Not sure if they're the cleanest. My friend and I came here in the middle afternoon on a Friday. We were greeted as soon as we entered and were told to choose our colors. We hadn't even been sitting there for 30 seconds, and my friends technician came up and asked us if we were ready. We said no, and kept looking at colors. Another 30 seconds later, she asks us again. It was apparent that she was rushing us like crazy. My friend was shuffled quickly to the chair and her dipped nails were done very quickly. I talked to my friend in the middle of my service (when she was already done) And she said she was unhappy with the color. I told her to say something, but I looked back and noticed her technician already had someone else at her station (a regular I assume). My guy took a bit longer for my gel manicure. He was super nice, but I'm not sure if he used clean tools to do my service. Usually they bring out a new bag, and open it, but I didn't realize until it was too late that he was taking the tools out of an already opened bag under his station. SHADY. Then as he was painting, I noticed he wasn't getting my whole nail. I asked him to try to paint lower, and he mumbled something and said he couldn't do it on some of the nails. After I left, I noticed that he didn't go all the way down on multiple nails. My nails looked: 1. like they were a week grown out already. 2. my nails had streaks in it 3. he did not shape my nails to be the same. some round, some square 4. uneven coats of polish on some nails Overall, very very bad experience. The only redeeming thing was that I loved my color. Other reviews mention they have a few technicians that are their best, but I won't be returning to find out.

    Christmas design!!!

Love Anna!!! She did a wonderful job with my Christmas designs!!! Thanks see ya for Valentine's Day!!!

    Pink dip manicure ($42)

Okay, I went in with lower expectations, to be completely honest, and also was looking for a quick manicure between appointments at my regular salon. However, Nga did an amazing job on my dip manicure for $42! That price is pretty low compared to some other local salons. I will say I was unimpressed with the color selection (I always get pink and they had mostly terrible, light and nude pinks which are not my summer vibe). However, they helped me pick a selection closest to what I was looking for and Nga was quick and efficient. I was out of there in less than an hour! The salon itself is nothing to brag about and online photos make it appear nicer than it is. But, my expectations were exceeded when I left with a great manicure for a great price. Would give 5 stars if it was cleaner and more welcoming inside.

I only go to Anna by preference. She is young fun and innovative when it comes to helping me pick designs. She is quick and efficient. The salon also serves wine.

I think this will be my new nail salon. Good prices and...a glass of wine. I needed that. Lol. The mani looks very nice and the staff are nice as well. There are several big screen tv's and they also have music in the background if you prefer. The salon is open in layout, and clean. I could see an oven where tools were sanitized. They have the lovely lazy-boy massage chairs for the pedicure area. The parking is good and there are other businesses in this small plaza as well. I will return

Do NOT go here. Completely unsanitary. **If you have diabetes, are immunocompromised, or have poor circulation to your feet, do NOT come here. You are at an increased risk of complications if your feet/toes, get infected** I came here this past Saturday for a pedicure. The place was SLAMMED. I thought that was good sign if it was so popular. I was sat for a pedicure, my nail technician came over after she wrapped up with another client. She turned the water on and it was 1 MILLION degrees and way too hot. The tub also had this plastic liner in it was I assume is supposed to be changed between clients. To be honest, I wasn't paying much attention during my appointment- I came to relax, catch up on texts and Instagram, call my grandma, etc. I know it was naïve, but I've never had a problem with pedicures in the past, and I figured that an unclean place wouldn't be so popular. The rest of the pedi went as usual, there was a hot stone massage incorporated and I went home. The next day, my pinky toe was a little sore and by Monday it was very painful, practically had a heartbeat (throbbing) and was warm to the touch. The only way I've been able to walk is by taking 600 mg of ibuprofen twice a day. It is definitely infected. There are so many places this visit may have gone wrong: was the liner changed, did they turn up the hot water to "sanitize" it, were the tools clean, was the nail polish contaminated, were the stones sanitized? Either way, my pinky toe is infected and starting to show pus. Going to the doctor tomorrow for antibiotics since I have a suspicion that this could be MRSA. I'm including a picture here, sorry if it's gross, but I just want to illustrate how serious I am. Please do not come here if you have diabetes. I have seen how simple cuts can turn into toe/partial foot amputations if not addressed in a timely manner. Clearly this place is too busy to adhere to basic cleanliness/safety standards, don't put yourself at unnecessary risk for a free glass of cheap wine.

Peep the filthy floor and mystery red splatters bear atm.

TLDR cleanliness issues and some lazy/combative staff. Average manicure at best. Concerned about health code violations. Let me start by saying I think some of these positive reviews are potentially from employees, because I have gone a few times because it's easy on my commute, but most recently my experience was SO BAD I will not be returning. It's a shame because the place is in a good location and is well decorated and has the potential to be cute, but not worth it. I immediately noticed a strong odor of mildew and dirt in combination with acrylic material as soon as I entered. My manicurist's station, along with the station of those I was with, was FILTHY. Towels not changed in between clients, tools not properly sanitized. My finger was nicked in the process and the manicurist used the paper towel that he used to dab the blood off my finger to wipe off the tool and put it back in his station. Took everything I had to be polite and not leave right away. The bottles were crusty and sticky, the big brush for acrylics was very dirty, and other brushes had the bristles sticking together. Chairs of employees and customers really dirty. The drying station was sticky on the inside and dusty on top. As we were sitting there letting my nails dry, we noticed 7 employees sitting on their phones laughing and carrying along. That would be fine of course if there was nothing to do. We are all human and need a break. But the place was TOTALLY DISGUSTING and unexpected for a nail salon in this area. The eyebrow/waxing room does not have the sanitary paper in between customers and the SAME POT OF WAX is used for multiple customers and they dip the stick back in after application over and over again. I wanted to discretely let the owner know about this so he/she/they could fix it. I called afterwards and asked to speak to the owner, who apparently is "never there" according to the person that answered. They said they have a manager so I asked to speak with them. The response was "you know you could have right away after you got your nails done but not now. I am not even sure what you mean because I see people cleaning all the time." The person on the phone was very combative, while I was only trying to mention this issue discretely so I did not have to post online, but here I am. I only was wable to get a few pictures while I was drying my nails, because I was not able to get any while my nails were being done but here they are. Random splatters, dust, filthy floors. I know I wasn't able to get pics of the stations, because my hands were occupied, but please take my word for it unless you like risks really want an adventure next time you get your nails done.

Gel mani with scabbed up cuticles on the middle and ring finger, gel doesn't extend all of the way down

I'm the kind of girl that goes to get her nails maybe only a few times a year, and Pure Nails used to be my go to spot. However after my experience this last time, I'm not sure I will be back. Generally in the last, things have been very hit or miss depending on the technician that I get. This past time that I went everything felt incredibly rushed. After telling the technician I hadn't chosen a color yet, I was still rushed over to the chair. Throughout my pedicure, the everyone was very distracted - I even saw another stop in the middle of a service to answer a personal phone call. The most disappointing part of my experience was my manicure. By the end four of my fingers were bleeding, and technician did not seem to think this was an issue when I pointed it out. I had a different number of coats of gel nail polish put on each hand. Two days later my cuticles still hurt and are scabbed over and the gel nail polish looks grown out because it was not painted all the way down. That being said, I have had goodexperiences in the past - in general I would only come here to see a certain technician that you know is good. **update: five days later my gel manicure is chipping

Some of the color offerings--such a great variety!!

Visiting Richmond, and used Yelp to help me find a good nail salon. I was especially attracted by the complimentary mimosas! My friend and I arrived, and chose our polish. They have a huge selection of polish colors. We were then taken to our pedicure chairs. We were offered a drink, and chose our pedicure. We went for the $35 spa pedicure that includes hot stone massage. We then relaxed and enjoyed our drinks. On a avalé of 1-10, being 10 the best pedicure ever, I would give a 6. The girl did a nice job, but she could have given more massage and taken more time. My toes do look good, though! I also got an eyebrow wax, and the young lady did a great job. I love that this place has lots of offerings including facials, chair massage and more!

It quoted $175+ I figured the plus could be maybe longer hair was more, conditioning treatment, etc... I arrive and tell her what cut I want and she discourages me away from that and talks me into something different. She does the partial foil and haircut. After rinsing the the color she told me she was doing a "glaze" (I had no idea what that was) so I asked her and she explained what it was. I went to check out and the man at the front desk says it is $310!! I told him about the website and the misinformation and he tells me it's $310. It was $260 for the foil and haircut and $50 for a "color melt" Apparently, color melt is a "glaze" I never asked for a "glaze" and when I was asking about it she should have told me there was a charge. I spoke to the owner and explained everything. I wanted to know what about my hair constituted an additional $85 and I wanted the money back for the glaze. She assured me she would talk to Megan and call me back the next day. That was Friday, it is Wednesday now and I still have not heard back. Yes, I should have asked more questions before I even scheduled. I had no idea this could happen. I am stuck with a haircut I don't even like, didn't even ask for and I am out $310.
