Fuse is an incredible studio, full of amazing humans. I was in DC for a work-cation and really…read morewanted to get back into my Pilates routine. Fuse's location is close to where I was staying so I thought I'd give it a try. It was beyond my expectation. I went to 6 classes (facilitated by Rachel and Dani) over the span of a week. Rachel's classes were dynamic, fun, and upbeat. Dani's classes were detailed, deep, and challenging. I appreciated them both so much and it speaks volumes that each instructor here took the time to cultivate their unique styles. I left each class feeling more of myself. I also had the pleasure of meeting Saba, the owner, who was so friendly and gave me incredible recommendations for local restaurants. My love for Pilates & my practice were restored by the end of the week. Will definitely return when I'm back in DC. Thank you, Fuse!

I'm a huge fan of Fuse and am excited that they were able to open a second location. While the…read morerooms aren't huge here either, and it has a similar look and feel to the Dupont location, it is slightly more modern and brighter. I took a class here with Addie, and she is fantastic. I'm sad I haven't taken a class with her before, but I highly recommend her, even if you are brand new to Pilates. The other staff I interacted with were friendly as well. If location is not a concern for you (as it's not for me), you should definitely check out Fuse's second location.

This has been my go-to workout since moving back to DC. I lived in West Hollywood for over a decade…read moreand started doing Lagree after a terrible knee injury. I was a longtime runner, Barry's Bootcamp, and Cross Fit enthusiast -- all of which destroyed by body and left me injured more than in shape. Lagree Pilates and Solidcore are a full body workout and exactly what I needed. There is zero impact on the joints and each movement is slow and in control. You also majorly get the heartbeat pounding and I find myself a sweaty mess like I did in those other fitness routines. Solidcore's approach isn't always my favorite (the trademark language and constant soundtrack of the instructors). If I had to pick, I prefer Lagree's approach more but hey, I'm just grateful to have this workout in DC.

I have been going to solidcore for years, and it's a great workout. But as many have said, it has…read moresome really bad policies that come with it that don't have the client in mind AT ALL. so I am going to leave it and hope others consider the same: 1. Expiration policy on classes is VERY short - this means that if you get a VERY EXPENSIVE classpack but say get sick or have to travel, there's zero flexibility to get an extension. Pretty tone deaf given we just went through years of a pandemic. 2. There is NO HUMAN to be found to help with any questions on classes/memberships, you just email some general account and someone with no name sends you boiler plate marketing. 3. VERY EXPENSIVE It all just leaves a very unpleasant taste in your mouth and there are too many other fitness options where you are treated like a human and where you can get a great workout.

I've been obsessed with the megaformer workout these past few months and I've found it…read moretransformative for my core and tendencies towards injuries. I normally go to slt in NYC (which is phenomenal) but have been very curious about sculpt. I went this am and while one class is hardly the means for a rating, I found the studio meh as far as megaformer workouts. Don't get me wrong. This workout is difficult and not geared towards beginnings. The straps, balancing and movements cause one to need a few times to get the gist of it. Add on to the general difficulty! So why 3 stars for sculpt. Playlist and drill sergeant like instruction made the class not fun. She counted 20-19-18.... more repeatedly. Grrrr. I found myself repeated looking at the clock which is something I rarely do. In addition, music was circa 1980s and definitely a feed issue to the stereo because there was a scratchy sound for parts of the class. Moves and corrections were generally very good, however. As I've mentioned with other specialty classes it's the instructor that makes all the difference. I'm super spoiled I live in NYC and fortunately a couple of my favorite folks are not only at the tops in their field, some have even developed cult status (so says allure magazine). Best practices equal always a fresh playlist (I've never heard the same list twice for my favorites), good choreography, energy and corrections. So for $35 a class, I'd hope that I get just that. Otherwise I could go to the free classes at my gym. I think solid core which I rate 4.5 stars is better on instruction and energy, music also could be improved. 3 stars bc any megaformer class is a minimum of ok, but the extra factor is instruction and music.
