    Matcha latte hot sweetened

I stop here every time I'm traveling up the 395. Their matcha is the best and I don't say that lightly. The matcha is perfectly frothed and tastes delish. It's not too thin and not too thick. I get mine sweetened and it's not too sweet, it's truly perfectly balanced. I could go on and on, but it's hard to find a good matcha and theirs is the best. Tried the salted chocolate chip cookie this morning and WOW. Delicious. Highly recommend this place as a pit stop on your way on the 395!

A café in a bookstore! A dream! Very yummy breakfast. The coffee was really good and I like that their syrups are made in house! Had an array of cookies too, wish I would have given them a try.

Their tuna salad sandwich is a work of art. The tuna salad is fresh and tasty with small portions lots of added ingredients. The lettuce is always fresh and green. The multigrain bread outstanding. They sell halves or wholes. I'm trying to cut back and only eat a half, but it's just impossible. And for dessert: get a well done Belgian waffle.

A hidden oasis of goodness in an otherwise dismal and bleak stretch of disappointing breakfast and costumer service.

Great food and wonderful service. The Liege Waffles and hot chocolate are the best. We had delicious Ham and Cheese Panini's for lunch.

Very good breakfast! The waffles were incredible. I recommend the egg and cheese panini, and make sure to get it with avocado.

Hubby and I stopped in for a late lunch on our journey home after a quick trip to Disneyland the day prior. It's a long drive, so Bishop is about halfway to home. We don't like traveling with leftovers, so we often share a meal. Yesterday was the Bluey Armstrong burger with a side of the garlic Parmesan fries. The burger was great! Juicy, cooked to perfection, and so flavorful. But the fries? For the love of all that's good those fries sent me on a trip straight to heaven. I wouldn't say I'm a fry snob, but I do know what I like, and these were possibly the best garlic parm fries I've ever had. So much so that I told my hubby I'd recommend going on a 6 hour girls' trip just for the fries. (My gal pals and I do weird trips for stuff like this.) Long story short(ish) stop here for food. You will be saying "get in my belly" with the only regret that it isn't closer to your home. Unless you live in Bisho, in which case you are a lucky person.

Aaron Schat's Roadhouse came up as the best suggestion and it did not disappoint! It was only 11am but we started with 2 pints of Coor's lol. Then we ordered 2 Shot Gun burgers and beer battered fries. They were so delicious! The burger patty was freshly made and the bun was a cheese type bun from their bakery. The fries were so crispy. 1 basket of fries would have been enough to share but we ordered 2 not knowing and force fed ourselves to finish it all lol. We will definitely add this to our bishop stop on future trips!

Now, we know why! Everything we ordered was made soooo bad. And, it took soooo long. My power wrap had so much spinach in it, and barely any of the other veggies. Also, the hummus was a thin layer of (picture a thin layer of mustard amount) and not a nice remotely visible or generous layer of hummus! My husband's veggie sandwich was also all spinach, with one thin slice of red onion, and one teaspoon of avocado slice. Pathetic. I wish I was kidding. Our smoothies were full of the frozen fruit, and sparing on the good ingredients (dates, chia, hemp). Basically, they are overloading on the cheaper bulk items, and stingy on the good ingredients. We spent $50 and tipped 20% ...on awful food. The young woman working clearly lacked any care for her job. Sadly, though, the last time I came here I had a different employee but same results.
