As a vegan, I found the food exceptional 9 times out of 10. Vegan cheese usually never tastes like real cheese but the "cheese" the used in the Haystack nachos and eggplant calzone tasted amazing! I had to ask to check if there was any dairy in it. I wasn't a fan of their tomato salad with "tofu" feta, however. There was just some greens and tofu sprinkled on two halves of a tomato. The whole establishment is clean and spacious and I LOVE the fact that they have a little vegan market stocked with dozens of different flavors of dairy-free ice cream. The woman taking our order at the register, on the other hand, seemed very disinterested and bored. She had no opinions on any of the food and really couldn't answer many questions we had. The food came out pretty quickly and at a fair price! read more

It was foolish to call this place a cafe. It does serve coffee and has plugs but really it does a different thing no other "cafe" does in the aria which is serve veggie tastic food, has a juice bar, demo kitchen and a store. It's a health food place with lots of bells and whistles. The chairs could be more comfortable but the place is beautiful and the food is great. read more

Came for dinner with my boyfriend and had a great time! We had been looking for more vegan and plant-based restaurants in the area and were pleasantly surprised by this cafe. The menu was well priced and had a large selection. We ordered the chick'n and mushroom calzone, the marghertia pizza, and the Mac n' cheese. The portions were big and the Mac n' cheese was delicious, couldn't even tell it was made from vegan cheese! Service was very friendly and there was live music when we went, which really brought out the holiday vibes. Cute and charmingly rustic place to eat, definitely excited to make this place a regular spot for us :) read more

Yum! We got a pizza (gluten free crust - so crispy, so good), a huge salad, a bowl, and the garlic knots. Everything was so fresh and really delicious. Big enough portions to have lunch or next day dinner. Highly recommend. read more

Everything was amazingly delicious! There were seven of us. Tried the blueberry pancakes, pulse scramble, calzones, pizza, açaí bowl, smoothies, juice, avocado toast, and iced tea. Looking forward to trying more! Would absolutely recommend this for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. read more

We took a day trip to the area to visit a local museum. Wow, we're so glad we Yelped and found this place. Great menu with lots to choose from. We shared a soup, eggplant panini and a "steak and cheese" (with cashew cheese -- this place is completely plant-based). All were very good. We saw the flatbreads and "mac and cheese," and they looked great. The place has a contemporary and relaxing atmosphere -- wood floors, large gas fireplace, very open and bright. This is a counter service restaurant, and the staff brings your food to your table. Be prepared to wait a few minutes to order. (This appears to be a bottleneck.) We can't wait to visit the area again. read more

Food had zero flavor. Got the garlic knots and macaroni. Really, really bad. Tasted like plain boiled pasta and garlic knots had zero taste and were very doughy. Also got the almond joy smoothie which tasted really sweet and odd. Would not come again. read more

First time here and I was truly impressed. Had the Cheesteak and my wife had the Cajun Tofu Burger. The Cheesteak was amazing. Thick slabs of tasty house made seitan just smothered in warm cashew cheese. It takes several napkins to finish this but that's certainly not a complaint. Just a mouth watering delight for a hungry appetite. The wood fired garlic knots I have to say were another tasty surprise to bite in to. Lots of garlic with a wonderful filling of creamy cashew mozzarella. The Cajun Tofu Burger was very good with great texture. The dry rubbed tofu and crispy pretzel bun worked well together. My only fault was that "Cajun" was not expressed well enough for my liking. Needs more spice. But overall an absolutely delicious all vegan meal with super friendly service. "Definitely" will be back here again...and again. read more

Amazing food, the best veggie burgers in the world. Wonderful, helpful, friendly staff. Clean, spacious... Pulse is the best!

I went for breakfast with my fiancé. She got blueberry pancakes and I got a breakfast calzone. Both were very good and hot! The only con was they didn't have any caffeine's hot drinks like coffee but they did have a hot drink which was similar to coffee. We can't to go for lunch! read more

I was treated to pulse for my birthday and live an hour away, Wow! my first time there, it was the best lunch! I ordered to go for the next day to.They are not skimpy on ingredients and highly recommend this restaurant with spacious areas for dining in. I need to get there soon! sure wish they were closer! read more

Listen: weird cult, good food. The options are perfect. These folks care about everything down to the finest detail. The kale is cooked perfectly every time. Do you know how much work it takes to do that??? The flavors are great and everything has a really natural taste to it. Sure it feels like the movie "Get Out", but who I am I to judge and so long as the veggies are fresh and that mushroom gravy and biscuits are hot, I'm there! read more

I love Pulse they have delicious bowls like the Vida bowl and the cheesecake is amazing!

I love this place! Their food is always fresh and homemade, the cold pressed juices are truly legendary! They also have an assortment of pre packaged items like soups from their kitchen and grocery items as well! Definitely a great spot! read more

Another overpriced place using generic sysco food masquerading as upscale and vegan, a real disappointment.

With a wonderfully rustic ambience, Pulse serves up really wonderful food with marvelous service. One places one's order at the counter, and the food is brought to the table of your choice. But after that the servers are attentive friendly and helpful. The selection is driven by natural and mostly plant products, but one of our party had a Cubano sandwich with meat which was delicious. It was nice to have a variety for all palates. I would say that most prices were very fair, though not cheap, but the drinks were on the high end. All in all, a wonderful experience. I would strongly recommend giving it a try. We will be back. read more

We got 2 burgers here and they were surprisingly flavorless, not to mention there was a hair on the potatoes and the silverware was dirty. The staff wasn't very friendly. There's so many better vegan restaurants!!! Don't waste your time or money here. I definitely won't be back. So overpriced for what it was too. read more

Loved our dishes and the decor. The smoothies were fresh. Spent a Sunday late morning here and the place was amazing with sun pouring through the big windows. The wood fired pizza was delicious. Highly recommend. read more

This place is magic. The chef is clearly inspired. There is an incredibly high attention to detail. Each dish is thoughtful and delicious. Even something as small as their homemade ketchup is exploding with magnetic flavor that makes it hard to stop eating. Their simple oatmeal, to start, is incredible. You can judge a place easily by the quality of their oatmeal. It's an often boring and neglected dish, too easy to mess up but even easier to forget... Not this oatmeal! Creamy with just a hint of cinnamon, the texture is soft and almost melts in your mouth. This is what I mean by thoughtfulness, who has ever cared about oatmeal so much they made it THIS GOOD. Their pizzas and calzones are perfect. The cashew cheese is the best I've ever had. The chicken and waffles is ABSURD, if you don't believe tofu can turn into crispy fried chicken please give it a shot. Best biscuits and gravy in the world! Every dish is a winner, so try them all! The service is amazing. They have a large and attentive staff, very accommodating. I could never run out of nice things to say about this place! A note: They also have a great selection of frozen goods that have more than once pulled me off of route nine just to grab something only they carry. read more

Imagine unironically leaving a place of business a 1 Star review because you're unable to read numbers on a menu.

A good family run business, and very worthy of support. Not to mention the food is amazing and the environment of the restaurant is incredible. My family & I love you Pulse! read more

VEGETARIAN HEAVAN! Pulse Cafe is my new favorite restaurant. The vibes were immaculate along with the customer service. There was options for every dietary restrictions and allergy. We got the southern comfort bowl with the soy drumsticks and green jolly smoothie, both of these were AMAZING and surpassed all expectations!! I will definitely attempt to recreate the cashew Mac and Cheese and soy drumsticks. There needs to be more Pulse Cafes they are so inclusive and diverse! read more

Awesome food. Delicious. I'm not a vegan or even a vegetarian but I love their burgers, and so does my wife!

Absolutely phenomenal food! You would NEVER know that all this delicious comfort food was 100% plant based and 100% Non GMO. My husband and I are Vegans so this place is our holy grail of restaurants. Plant based or not this is a MUST try. The atmosphere is perfect, the staff are accommodating and love what they do. They also have a small market within the cafe which we also frequent. You can't go wrong coming here! read more

The food is good but it is expansive. I have tried the drink and the meal and it's good. Overall the experience is ok but I am not sure if I will be back because it takes 8 dollars to get something similar to a coffee. read more

the brunch is so good! i recommend the chicken & waffles, i love seeing a good filling plant based spot.

I love this place SO MUCH! I think about the garlic knots w cashew cheese pretty much daily. Recently I went for brunch (my first COVID-times eating-at-a-restaurant experience) and it was truly lovely. They have plentiful outdoor seating and the chicken and waffle was hot and dreamy and the whole vibe was very chill and clean and comfortable. Also I believe this is a black-owned business, which is rare in the valley and another great reason to spend your money here. Only downside is that having so many delicious vegan options makes decision-making hard if you are used to defaulting to the one pathetic bean burger on most restaurant menus. read more

I really like Pulse and come here a couple times a month. I'm super excited a vegan restaurant is around! The food is good overall, but I wish they had actual fries and had better staples on their main menu. I came on a night that had specials (maybe valentines?) and there were some incredible general tso style cauliflower bites that were SO good. They totally can do better based on the food they make for specials. They definitely can make healthier options like they're trying to do but more exciting. Also, I'm very concerned about the cows as they do not look healthy. As a vegan restaurant, I would hope you'd do more than share an Instagram post about how Cloa's Arc took advantage of you. All of those animals should be taken to actual farm sanctuaries. I honestly dislike coming here lately due to the sad condition for the "rescued" animals. There are farm animals who are living much better lives at some Hadley farms as they have plenty of land to roam and have a warm place to stay at night. These cows have a small tent and barely any land. SUPER depressing. I hope they find a better home soon. read more

so good, please come here if you ever get the chance! i've never gotten food here that wasn't shockingly delicious. the pictures are of the breakfast burrito but their blueberry pancakes are tied with the burrito as my favorite menu items. you could never tell that this is a vegan restaurant from the food! read more

The Pulse obsession is real. I sometimes dream of the haystack bowl, topped with vegan nacho "cheese" that somehow tastes better than the real thing. Then there's the açaí smoothie bowl, a protein-packed collection of goodness that is at once refreshing and energizing. Literally everything I've tried here has been delicious. The staff is always very warm and friendly, and the dining area is spacious and full of light. I highly recommend others check this place out--just be prepared for the addiction. read more

Some of the best service and staff in the area. Food is very tasty, even as a meat eater. I've been offered desserts on the house by the staff and they were so good I now stop here when I want a treat. Super kind, lovely humans working who make truly loving and lovely food. Can be pricy but nothing outrageous for the quality you're getting. One highlight, as someone who misses coffee but cannot have any caffeine, their coffee substitute is really incredible. read more

The food is very well prepared and the calzone crust was very light and flaky. I will be coming back when I visit the area.

We were really impressed -- the food was so fresh and delicious. She got the Haystack Bowl and the Berry Smoothie. Neither of us had ever had cashew cheese -- what a treat!! The smoothie was so fantastic. I had the Thai Noodle Bowl with the Smoked Tofu addition -- loved everything about this. Great spot, beautiful and clean. read more

I went to make my gf happy. However, I was finding myself there every other day. Sean makes an amazing Smoothie. His conversation make the wait time blow by. He is super nice. The woman cashier of LatinX decent was super friendly. She helped me make great decisions day after day. The apple knots were amazing. Most importantly, the chia pudding is incredible. I like it so much that I had to ask how to make it (so when I am on bed rest I have access to something close). I am excited to try more food. My gf loved her pizza and she is thinking of going vegan due to how good it tasted. read more

Not bad, but every time I go to Pulse I feel unwelcomed, I'm not sure if it's because I don't have blonde hair and blue eyes, but it's a weird energy. The food is pricy but I like to get their smoothies, although they are always sold out of stuff. Maybe if I could feel welcomed, I would comeback often. Anyways, God help us all unite!!!!, Stop the racial, vaccine, gender etc... hate. The vaccine manufacturers makes billions per second while we are stuck with student loans. God bless read more

Just as good as ever! Started with hibiscus iced tea and veggie lasagna,(no pasta just layers of veggies) I also had a pizza I customized with broccoli, onion, spinach, cashew mozzarella, and tomato, the pizza is always a home run! My friend got the Apple Knots for dessert which were listed with a frosting, I don't think ours had any frosting but non the less they were delicious. I tried from the market side to take home 2 flavors of the golden thread plant tonics both (honey rose, and the green one) were delicious and I'll try all flavors next time. The vegan salami is amazing and you can barely tell it's made with figs!! Also if your looking for a good snack the cheese isn'tz are my go to!! read more

Nice atmosphere and I like the concept but was not that impressed with the food. I am vegetarian, but this place solidified many of my worries about vegan food. It is good, but the attempts at dishes like pizza with cashew cheese just do not cut it. The margherita pizza had flavorless cashew cheese and the sauce tasted like it could have been bought at a grocery store out of a jar. The fries were OK. Some of the salads were nice! It's my fault for ordering pizza and not opting for more veggie-based dishes. read more

6 stars if I could. Amazing building and space for a plant based cafe. Blown away by the mushroom calzone and Ethiopian red lentil soup. Also had the chikn scharma. Portions were bigger than I was expecting and better than most plant based restaurants. Food is cooked to order and as such takes awhile but it is so nice to get fresh cooked to order instead of just reheated you can really tell the difference. read more
