The restaurant was clean and the young lady at the register was pleasant and took our order. The food is made to order. I had an egg white omelet with peppers, onions, and spinach with a side of grilled chicken and my fiancé had scrambled eggs with peppers and onions. The food was delicious. Also, the coffee was very good. The restaurant has more of a Latin/Spanish style. We would definitely recommend.

I was looking to see what was open and I just so happened to see a Puerto Rican restaurant open around 6 AM! I just had to try the alcapurrias and empanadas so I ordered 1 or each and I have to say I absolutely LOVED the chicken burrito it was FULL of flavor and the lady on the phone sounded so nice when I called and asked for some extra salsa on the side. The beef empanada was pretty good I would say out of the 3 I tried Chicken & Cheese Beef Shrimp The Shrimp was my favorite ! The other two were pretty good but I think flavor wise the shrimp empenada knocked the other two out of the park. The Burrito was so flavorful! I would highly recommend it ! I added Rice, Onion, Pico, Jalepeno, cheese and it SMACKED! I love finding hidden gems whenever I go on my work trips

A friend brought me and I tried Peruvian cuisine for the first time. I was very impressed with the quality and freshness of the ingredients, and according to my friend it was genuine traditional cuisine. The ceviche was outstanding, the fish super fresh, and the seasoning not too acidic (instead of tasting mostly like lime juice and onions as usual). The giant Inca corn served with it was fresh and tasty. One of my friends had an Inca Coca Cola which was yellow (!) and tasted like candy, and another had a purple corn drink that was flavored with cinnamon. I also tasted a delicious green pesto pasta with beef tips that were tender, smoky and not chewy. The guacamole with fried yuca was also delicious! Another interesting dish was the Leche de Tigre (I think that's what it was called) which was basically a cold fish soup served in a cocktail glass--sounds weird but I tried it and it was very good. I loved the fried seaweed that decorated the top, it tasted a little bit like fried calamari with a softer texture. Delicious! The waiter was extremely helpful and explained the menu in detail as we had lots of questions, and they were also very accommodating with the heat level which is always an issue for me. I was so happy to be able to enjoy flavorful latin food without burning my mouth! I hope they stay around for a long time so I can bring everyone there and try other dishes on their extensive menu--including their special "menu of the day" which includes drink and dessert.

The review: Valsos is a small cafe, with a full restaurant farther down the street. They are half-café and half-bar, serving customers day and night. This dimly-lit spot is a tranquil place to have a bite to eat and have a good conversation. The pastel de guayaba was very good (per my friend who ate it). I wouldn't say this is the best coffee I've had, and I am very familiar with Latin American styles of coffee, but it's not a bad option for an afternoon pick-me-up. The pastries (though not gluten free) look delicious. If you're ever having a day in Revere, don't hesitate to stop at Valsos!
