    Sour cherry cheese danish
    Stephanie G.

Great food and comfortable seating. There isn't a lot of street parking, but if you're around, it's very spacious inside and the food orders are taken quickly and prepared reasonably quickly as well. The house breakfast comes with a whopping pile of potato fritters, fluffy eggs, and sourdough bread, so a pretty well-rounded meal. The oatmeal and fruit had a great proportion of both. The coffee was decent, and there is a great array of baked goods. The sour cherry and cheese Danish was top-notch and worked best when one could get a bite of both sides. They also had a lot of pies and other good already boxed up to go for your convenience. The food was all tasty and there were a lot of good options. Tatte definitely delivers for sweet and savory options.

Museli came to brunch dressed like a supermodel. Calm down, oats--you're delicious.

Five stars for Tatte in Charlestown! From the moment we walked in, the vibes were immaculate--great music, warm smiles, and the smell of fresh-baked heaven wafting through the air. Service was top-tier: friendly, fast, and genuinely welcoming. Now let's talk about that cherry pistachio tart--excuse me, what kind of sorcery is this?? Sweet, nutty, tart perfection. I'd write it a love letter if I could. The muesli was equally delicious-fresh, crunchy, and not too sweet. And the grilled cheese? Oh my. Crispy golden bread hugging perfectly melted cheese with a side of pure joy. Tatte gets it right, from the details to the dough. Can I live here?

    Iced matcha latte (12 oz)

Food: The matcha latte here was so good! I had it with almond milk, and definitely felt like the matcha was good quality. Service: Cashiers were nice and pleasant, and even though it was a late Sunday morning, the line wasn't too long (therefore, my drink came fast, haha)! Ambiance: This state is really nice. Lots of seating areas, and Charlestown is such a lovely area.

There's plenty of Tatte locations throughout the Boston area. This one wasn't as busy and had more space. Still, the food is just fine and the drinks are nice. I'd consider sitting around here if I lived in the area.

If you come with other people, I would recommend getting one sandwich one bread, one coffee that way you can try multiple things. I got the croissant sandwich and a coffee and got too full so I did not get a pastry :( they look so yummy, but I was so full. The service is very nice. The lady at the cashier was very nice and patient. The place is very spread out and clean. There's many places to sit. I like that the bathrooms are individuals.

Not being local I'm not exactly hip to all the popular coffee shop chains but Tatte is apparently one of them with two dozen locations around Boston. It was pretty busy on Saturday morning when I visited but the line moved quickly and the staff was still friendly. I just wanted my order to go so I could walk back to my hotel. While I waited for my drink I had time to regret not staying to eat food because some of the plates looked very tasty. But no time for that, only time to admire the tile pattern on the floor and head out into the world and hope I didn't get lost again. I am not great with directions. I went with the Tatte House Latte (honey-halva & cardamom), Kouign-amann, and Passionfruit Krembo. The latte was delicious. I'm sure it's better warm, the spices and honey would be nice heated, but I still enjoyed it iced. The flavor is good, not particularly strong, and the sweetness level is low so I felt like it was a balanced start to my day. The Kouign-amann was tasty, but I have better ones back home in San Diego. It was still a flaky pastry with the signature crispy sugared bits so it wasn't bad. The Passionfruit Krembo though, now that was a VERY tasty dessert I still think about. I squirreled it away in the fridge for a post dinner treat when I knew I'd appreciate it the most. The layer of marshmallow was a delicious cloud, the tang of the passionfruit curd mixed with it well, and the crunchy base was the perfect textural contrast. I've already found some bootleg recipes for the house latte on various blogs so it's clearly loved by tourists wanting a little taste of their Boston vacation. Same. But will I be able to replicate the krembo magic at home? Time will tell! Worst case scenario I can't. Just means another trip or two to Tatte when I'm out that way again.

The bakery items here are sooo yummy! The pistachio croissant is buttery and flakey and I love how there's pistachio paste inside. The pistachio berry tart was also yum! Very buttery and heavier tho. I will say both items are better fresh. I also got the ice house latte and the cardamom spice is definitely there and not light. If you're a fan of that, def get it. The inside decor was also super cute and the vibes were . Def stop by for a morning snack!

+ Fast, reasonable price, friendly staff, lots of seating options, lots of quality menu items, great ambiance. - Just as a note, it gets pretty crowded on weekend mornings, pretty loud in there when it's like that. Also you cant add anything to your orders, like an extra egg for example.

    Shakshuka
    Larissa J.

Have you ever had shakshuka? If not, I highly recommend ordering it at Tatte Bakery. There are several locations in Boston so depending on where you are, you may be able to stop by one. This location has so many options - baked goods galore and fun drinks. You can order in advance and they have an area where you can pick them up off a shelf- super easy, in and out. And if you don't want to sit and eat the shakshuka at the location - get it to go!!!

Cup of Greek yogurt...... skip the cup get a bowl

Food amazing. Staff super nice and the place is really clean Loves the hot chocolate. It was not tooth rotting sweet. The chocolate had depth and soul to it. I love a hot chocolate that is a little sophisticated and not sweet. Perfect temperature to sip The yogurt was creamy and smooth. I was regret my choice of a cup rather than a bowl. The fruit on top was fresh and compliments the yogurt The flakey croissant need not butter or jam to go with it. It was pure joy to pull off bits to savor The egg and bacon sandwich was yummy. The cheese, egg, bacon and sour dough bread played upon each other to give a solid Tasteful breakfast

Love Tatte for a Matcha or a cup of their delicious muesli, however the breakfast food is made with little love. Very very friendly service as well but our orders are incorrect most of the time with what seems like confused or inexperienced servers. We'll be back though. Hopefully increasing the rating.

Roasted peach, prosciutto & ricotta tartine
    Meg C.

Super buttery, fresh pastries. Great lamination on the croissants. I got the pastry sampler, pear tart, brownie, coffee cake and roasted peach, prosciutto ricotta tartine. All of it was good, but I loved the pear tart and croissants the most.

Almond croissant & pistachio cherry tart
    Ellen K.

FOOD: chicken pita sandwich-- the pita bread was high quality and pillowy soft. It tasted really good, but I was sad that within 15min (see story below), the sandwich turned soggy because of it being overloaded with tomatoes and green sauce. Parts of the sandwich definitely fell out as I was eating it & it caused quite the mess. Overall, it was good; just be prepared to eat it right away. Almond croissant-- a little too sweet in that it had honey glazed(?) almonds on top in addition to the almond paste filling. I'm more used to savory croissants but it would pair perfectly with a cup of americano or espresso. Pistachio cherry tart-- I had to get it given how many people have reviewed it. It lives up to the hype. Not too sweet & the perfect balance of nutty and berry. I'm being generous with the 3 stars here because I think I spent nearly 30 minutes waiting for my TO GO order for a chicken pita sandwich, an almond croissant, and a pistachio cherry square. The wait did not happen because the food took long to prepare; rather, whoever was preparing my order forgot to include the croissant. With my luck, the line doubled by the time I did receive my chicken pita sandwich (within 10min) and realized my croissant was missing so I waited back on line to request my croissant. It was also not clear to me where to pick up my to-go order (there's a separate shelved area near the back kitchen) and I had to ask the staff about it, who was very kind to grab my my to-go paper bag for me. That being said, the service and staff here were phenomenal! Clarisa took my order and she was very patient, clearly efficient, and generous enough to grab my order when I couldn't locate the pick-up shelves. I also know it was not her who forgot my croissant because she specifically handed me my pistachio square and asked her colleague to grab the almond croissant for me. After I waited back online to get my croissant, a different staff member apologized to me and was very understanding of the situation, which I appreciated immensely. It definitely seemed like Tatte was understaffed and swamped during peak hours as many businesses are during this pandemic & I'm grateful the staff are working very hard.

On the particular day we visited, they were understaffed and were only offering bar service which was fine with us. We got a few of their beers which were all excellent. The Belgian Waffles truly had an end taste of maple syrup. The lemon shandy is very dry and slightly sour. We got the arancini which were SO good. We also got the truffle fries which were great. I ordered my usual flight, but they were out of stickers :( They had some unique beers amongst them one called Belgian Waffles which is a blonde ale with maple syrup and cinnamon. This was dessert or breakfast, depending on your perspective, in a glass. I also got a hazy IPA, a peanut butter stout, and a hefe. All were really good. For lunch I got some honey jerk wings. These were cooked to perfection. Crisp skin and juicy meat. The problem was the flavor. They had the honey but no jerk. There was no spice at all. They were still good, but they could have been great. Anyway, give me stickers and spice and I will give you that 5th star.

We had already eaten but wanted to grab a drink and couldn't pass up trying a bubble tea spot. So as you'd expect this review is solely for just drinks. Service wise we ordered from the little kiosk which worked well and allowed for plenty of customizing of your drink. That was a positive but also could be a quick way to make your price sky high with most additions being an extra dollar. They give you an order number that will be called when your order is ready. As we were waiting a worker did ask if we were waiting and for our order number and then they seemed to put a rush on making it and they apologized for the wait. Which honestly I did not think we had a long wait but appreciated the staff still. Overall the space for waiting is limited but won't hold that in a negative light since it's a food hall. I grabbed a Mango Fruit Tea with mango popping boba added while my wife got their toasted brown sugar milk tea. Both were pretty good but neither blew us away. My wife did not like the syrup in her brown sugar milk tea, had an odd flavor to it. Maybe we should have picked different drinks that would have impressed more. I would return to give some of their food a try in the future and more drinks though. Friendly staff with decent drinks and located in a very convenient location if you are visiting TD Garden.

It took over 20 minutes to receive my two items. Honestly, I think Currentea is a cute little place not suitable for its location. It seems too small for many staff members and they're very overworked. I appreciate the hustle of the staff but it gets to a point it's unacceptable.

We walked into a space that mixes communal tables, stadium-style seating, and smaller spots to sit, making it a place where you can stop in for a quick drink or stay longer with a laptop. The interior design is one of the biggest highlights, giving the cafe a more elevated experience compared to a typical coffee shop. The tiered seating in particular creates a visual dynamic that makes the room feel more intentional than your standard coffee counter. The drinks are the main focus here, especially the matcha, hojicha, and espresso-based options. We ordered the hojicha latte, which was one of the strongest items on the menu, with a deep roasted flavor and a smooth texture. The matcha has a more traditional earthy profile and leans less sweet, which works well if you prefer a more authentic matcha taste. The drinks are on the expensive side, but the quality of the ingredients and preparation make it feel more like a specialty cafe experience rather than a standard coffee stop. The food and dessert options add another reason to visit, with items like the egg sandwich, quiche, macarons, and hojicha desserts available depending on the day. The menu is smaller compared to a full brunch cafe, but it pairs well with the drinks and gives the visit more of a cafe-and-pastry feel. Service is friendly and the staff are knowledgeable about the drinks, which helps when choosing between the different Japanese tea options. The cafe can get busy, and seating is limited compared to the number of people who come through, but the layout gives it a unique character. Ogawa Coffee works well for specialty coffee and tea lovers looking for a more intentional cafe experience in Boston, especially if you enjoy Japanese-style drinks and a thoughtfully designed space.
