This location saved the day! It was my daughter's birthday and I had to work. The location on Nebraska failed to provide quality service. This location took my order over the phone the first time with no complaints or issues. The customer service manager (female) opened up a register to tackle the long lines which allowed me to check out as quickly as possible and deliver my daughter's cake in time to celebrate her birthday and to make it to the Veteran Affair's hospital in Bay pines to report to work as quickly as possible. This is customer service that promotes customer satisfaction! She is such a great leader, role model and an incredible asset to this location. Publix, you are lucky to have her. Once you experience a Publix supermarket yourself, I am confident that you will understand how Publix has become such an iconic supermarket brand and has developed such a loyal customer base down here in the southeast. Publix has created a solid reputation by offering incredible customer service, great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals and we cannot forget their subs, which are affectionately known as "Pub Subs." Coming from New Jersey, a state known for their great subs, in a way it hurts me to state that a supermarket has some of the best subs in the area. But it is also a 100% true statement. Publix subs are very good. My go-to sub is probably their Italian sub, which is truly a tasty offering. I also enjoy their roast beef and cheese sub. I would definitely recommend upgrading it by using Boar's Head meat. It is definitely worth the small upcharge. It is great to see Publix expanding beyond the boundaries of their home state of Florida and spreading throughout the southeast. Not only am I happy about it, but I am confident that the communities that Publix opens a location in are very grateful for a Publix opening by them. This store is extremely small and has very limited options for meat, dairy, cheese, deli, bakery, and frozen goods. However, if you're looking for Spanish items, this store has the most extensive selection I've ever seen, which is great if that's what you're after, but not so much if you're not. The staff are very nice, but if you're used to shopping at a Publix like the ones on Westshore or Ehrlich Road, you'll likely be disappointed with this store. Although it's conveniently located near my new home, I choose to drive elsewhere. Furthermore, parking can be a bit of a pain, and the store is always extremely busy at all times. read more

PUBLIX is overpriced and didn't change much since many years. The assortment is mostly the same bc coming from the same food producers. Our food producers should learn more about healthy food and new way to deliver it. You can go to any of the store location across the Country, and all of them have mostly the same 'staff'. In the Bakery, you can find all the same kind of bread with high wheat ingredients, gluten and sugar. Food in Deli section is also the same. Many of foods in PUBLIX have ingredients we should avoid on daily basis; for example, high sugar corn syrup, lot of carbs, artificial colors and flavors. Deli online ordering is a joke here. Placed orders multiple times online to be picked up. The one in particular that caused me to write this review is an order I placed at 11 to be picked up at 12:30. When I arrived at 12:40 the order wasn't ready per usual. I always put special instructions on the order that are over looked. At this point I expect them to fail and put in dressings in addition to the special instructions in case they aren't addressed. While awaiting on my order which was scheduled to be picked up, I observed the line to order in the store and realized I could have ordered the food there in the time it took me to await my food in the store when ordering online. I come to this Publix at least once a week and I can safely say this is a solid Publix. Parking can get a little crazy during peak times, but I just come during the weekdays and haven't had a problem. The staff is all very friendly, Freno always offers to walk me and my groceries to my car. The store is very large and spacious so you'll never feel cramped. It's much bigger than the Publix in Hampton Terrace if you're looking to make the switch. read more

This Publix is your average 3-star Publix. It's an older store, so not as clean as some of the other newer stores. Parking can be a hassle here because there are a bunch of little stores in the same general area. Inside, I feel like the aisles and selections are laid out oddly. Plus, this is the only Publix I go to that will actually be out of items I am looking for - I can see the blank space where they are supposed to be. I don't know if that's because the stockers aren't diligent, or maybe they don't have enough back room space to store items. Checkout is usually decent - I do like that they seem to have a lot of both cashiers and baggers working during notoriously busy times. read more

Is Publix really where shopping is a pleasure? Have to admit I generally like Publix markets. This one is not a favorite. This store is notorious for running out of sale items and while things melt, you stand in the customer service line forever. This location also caters to the Hispanic population. If you are Hispanic this is a good thing, if you aren't... not so much. You have a difficult, if not impossible time finding a regular rotisserie chicken, that is not Spanish spice infused. The store is ok and that is all. Not real clean and never enough cashiers. But, they do have a helpful staff, when you can't find items. What's a girl to do? We all have to eat... choices. read more

Don't every buy lottery tickets or anything from this publix. First I walk up and say I need to buy mega million and powerball tickets. She prints a mega million. I pull out my money and say so I need 35 mega million. But she had already printed a ticket with just one. Then she puts that one aside and rings up the 35 that I need. Then I say I need 43 powerball that $129. Before she even says anything she starts ringing up the tickets again. And I say again 43 tickets with power play equals $129 right. She starts to add it on the calculator and stops to say "with power play?" And shows me $40 worth of tickets without power play and says she can't void them. And that I didn't tell her I wanted powerplay. She hadn't even given me a chance either time to compete what I was saying. But I said 43 tickets for $129. 43 x $3 is $129.... then the manger comes over and says you don't want these? I say no I need the power play and she looks at me and says "we are done here." Doesn't even try to have a discussion about why or anything. Just says we are done here. So rude! I mean I could get money to buy them if I really had to but she was so rude! Yeap 2 stars! Publix has a digital coupons system which is awesome. Sign up online and clip coupons weekly, once at the register, you enter your phone number and all the coupons gets taken off automatically. Pure genius! I took my order to the front since I was only buying couple things. There was a coupon I clipped online but it didn't show up on the register. Cashier didn't give me the discount even though I got the right item. I've worked retail before, I am aware of "fine prints". Cashier said there's a glitch in the system but how is that my fault lol. He couldn't redeem the coupon, so I left. Publix is known for customer service and apparently this store lacks it. Won't be returning. read more

I have to compliment the bakery department, the cakes never disappoints and the prices are pretty good for the quality product you get. We have tried ordering sandwiches on multiple occasions and every single time the order is always wrong and we are constantly playing run around with customer service and the deli to fix our order. I used to shop here when I lived in Seminole Heights (yes used to!). It's a decent Publix but nothing special... Publix in general is special, so there's that. I come back every now and then when I'm on that side of town. Most recently I filled a script with the pharmacy there... they were quick which was great but gave me a different generic without explaining, so I came home and opened my bag in utter confusion thinking I had some random pills. Oops! They were the same thing just different name and look. We had a really sweet employee help with our bags... employees are always great as usual. They had a great selection of stuffed chicken breasts which is my favorite food to get at Publix but no deals. In comparison, the Publix on Anderson and Gunn (one of my favs but I have like 8 favorite Publixes) has the same product usually on sale. BOGO protein shakes and Honey Bunches of Oats though... I love publix it's been my favorite go to place when it comes to groceries shopping for years I'm a regular customer . but today while I was doing my regular shopping a off the clock manager approaches me holding a 6 pack of beer ( ALEX ) keep in mind I'm on a moving cart I play sports and I injured my ankle earlier so I couldn't really walk and he approached me in a unprofessional manner and he repeatedly asked me who's skateboard is that who's skateboard is that and I was like mine and he said why do you have a skateboard and you're on a moving cart I told him I hurt myself earlier and he responds with I hope you need it and walks away I'm not a manager but I wouldn't make someone feel uncomfortable in anyway , shape or form he made me Feel really uncomfortable I didn't think anyone should have a reasons to use the moving shopping carts it's for the customers use anyways ... read more

You can always know that when you come to Publix you will get great service. They make sure to have all registers open as much as is needed. Some other groceries stores do not seem to understand this concept. Personally I think the prices are good if you get the buy one get one. I come to this Publix religiously, and lately the lines have been long for the deli- which is understandable. However, since this is the second time it's happening to me, I figure I post it. The associate behind the deli neglected to call my ticket number- which resulted in her serving someone that came after me first. Their number was 94, mine was 93. I showed her my ticket number and she fumbled for a response. I waited an extra 20 min just for her to finish with the customer that skipped me. PUBLIX- get your system right!! There's no point in having a system in place if it's not going to be used appropriately. Especially now more than ever, when it's more crowded. I really like this review. The Publix at Nebraska and Hanna is a lot closer to where I live, but I've found that Publix to be cramped and crowded most of the time. The Publix at Hillsborough and Habana is another story! This location is super spacious and I hardly ever run into crowds. Even the deli line is pretty easy to get through and they have a good selection of groceries. I went the Sunday before Thanksgiving and was in and out very quickly. I am a faithful publix shopper. Never have I been to another supermarket or store in which the emplyees truly do take care of their patrons and actually know what they are talking about when approached with a question, and when they don't they will go out of their way to find someone who does. Not only can I find the freshest and more rare produce items but always trusted brands readily available in their dry storage isles. Even publix brand and greenwise items are always a go to for me when all else fails. Not to bash anyone else but you just can't do that with great value. You always lose on the quality of the other generic brands but not at publix. You can be sure that publix will match the quality you are looking for. And their sweet tea! Always perfect. I buy gallons for home. Without publix, I wouldnt know what a great supermarket was like. read more

This is one of my top two locations in Tampa. It's larger than the one I usually go to, but that's only because the other one is closer to my house. Before I moved to my house, this was my main Publix. The managers and staff are excellent. I am an extreme couponer and they really do awesome with all that. In general, Publix is the best grocery store in the state as far as coupons and sales go. Nobody beats their BOGO deals. They are true BOGOs where they don't jack the price up and then offer the BOGO, like some other grocery stores do. And if they are out of a certain product that is on sale, if you go to the service desk they will write you a rain check for it! The store is impeccably clean. The employees always know where something is and help you find it. That doesn't happen at Walmart and other places. Everybody is very friendly. read more

This supermarket has a great atmosphere. I always find quality products at great prices and their deli is always fresh and delicious. This store is always clean and employees are always willing to help. I noticed this Publix hires many challenged/disabled employees and I think this is absolutely fantastic. This Publix is not my favorite Publix location out of all of them but this one is the best one that is close to my workplace. When I ordered online to pick up subs from this particular location, the order was consistently ready early. That is a big plus when someone has such a short time frame to grab something for lunch. The other good thing about this location is that once the doors open at 7 A.M. for the day, all of their employees are alert, kind and ready to go. Their bakery also have great pastries available first thing in the morning and is a good thing to go with their fresh fruit. The reason why this location gets a 4 star is that since it is an older location, it does not give the overall appearance of being clean. read more

Horrible location. I ordered a 6 foot long sandwich. She said come pick it up in 40 min. I asked her several times about the time frame and how I wanted the lettuce and etc on the side. She kept confirming. Still felt weird so I called back and said you do know this is a six foot sandwich. She made a day noise and reassured me all was well. When I got there a one footer with an attached mayo package on the side. They finally created something for me but now it was only turkey and cheese sandwich or ham cheese sandwiches. When I got it home some had no cheese and the bread was hard. Publix still kept the same prices but lost there quality. read more
