This Publix Is usually clean and has most products. Lately when I visit certain items are hard to find but that's common right now. I've asked for them to get in a few products over the 3 years I've shopped at this location and they have never added any of them. The parking is terrible and always full. Just so you know, the cameras don't cover all of the parking lot. Our car was hit in the parking lot , ripping the entire back off of it. The person took off and we found out when we left the store. When we called the police, we learned that they don't have cameras filming large parts of the parking lot. The pharmacy is pretty good and the people working there are pleasant. They recently added self checkout and I'm happy to see this addition. read more

On my last visit to my local Publix, I went to buy my weekly groceries and also a cake for my sister in law's birthday. There were some really great BOGO deals including guacamole and healthy multigrain chips. As for the birthday cake, I decided to have a cheesecake modified with Happy Birthday piped on top. After much back and forth, I finally asked for help. Shawanda helped me and suggested to me to get strawberry cheesecake over the plain cheesecake. She piped Happy Birthday on a sheet of plastic and added it to the cheesecake. When I got to the checkout line, I picked up the cheesecake from the place container and it flipped over out fo the container onto the metal cart's bars. The cheesecake was everywhere which was highly embarrassing. I asked the cashier for a paper towel because it was all over my hands and the floor. She offered to help me get a new one, but I opted to pay for my groceries and go back to the bakery to get a new one. I explained what had happened to Shawanda and apologized since she spent time customizing it to begin with. She added buttercream l the bottom and taped the case shut which helped it to make it home and to the birthday girl later on that day. I was very impressed with the customer service I received even though I felt embarrassed. This situation is why I have remained a Publix over the years. I also left a compliment for Shawanda at the customer service desk because it left such an impression. I have left many other grocery stores feeling like a number. read more

Don't rely on their fried Chicken on being consistently good. We wasted $10 for four pieces of chicken last night (4 pieces:2 thighs & Breast) that wasn't edible: greasy, tasteless as if it had been sitting too long. It would have been much better choice to buy a Rotisserie Chicken, or take out at Popeyes. read more

So last night I went to Publix with a friend in a wheelchair. We were just going to fill up his water jugs and because he could not get out..I did it of course. No problem. I proceed to get the water and all was smooth...night manager came out.....looked at me...never offered help..I am a female...and the door where the car was parked..he locked it..I said I have to take the water to the car..right there..he said "here is a cart" and rolled it to me and pretty much dismissed me...never offered help...very rude and dismissive. Not sure why you would pick a job to deal with people..when your actions show you hate it. I thought it was suppose to be a friendly store...so glad my friend stayed in the car..he would have been totally dismissed. read more

I love this place. The associates are amazing. Very knowledgeable, and attentive to my needs. When I ask any of the stock peeps asks about a product, they usually stop what they're doing and lead me to my item. Best customer service. Their bakery has amazing goodies. Premium cakes like chocolate overload and tiramisu are my favorites. Damn my sweet tooth. Deli sandwiches are so much better than Subways. Not sure why but subways are so stingy with their veggies. Publix subs on the other hand are awesome. The peeps at the deli will add just about anything in your sub and won't complain. They're even better when it's pressed. This was a great location for food and great customer service. Great selection of food especially within their meat and deli department. The customer service was excellent. Anytime I needed something, there was always someone there to help me to find what I need. The food was soooo good. I actually got a veggie sandwich with cheese and some of the pasta salad. My boyfriend got a carrot cake slice from the deli. He said that it was good. The atmosphere was great and inviting. People were very friendly and willing to help me since I was a tourist in the area. It was very busy thought but I found out that they were having the Gasparilla festival at that time. I would definitely go back and visit when I go to Tampa. read more

Publix - Where shopping is a pleasure. I wholeheartedly concur. The only drawback I have yet to encounter at this location is parking. The first row after you turn is a 2-way row, while most others are one way. While you may have to park in Nicaragua, the parking lot is well-lit and doesn't make you feel as if you are going to be kidnapped and sold to make cigars (the way I believe the Winn-Dixie shoppers must feel). The store is large, clean and can get pretty crowded during peak times. As with any Publix location, the PubSubs are awesome! Produce and fruit is always fresh, and there is always a large selection of meat on hand. BOGO specials are found frequently, and are normally proudly displayed at the entrance. Due to the high-traffic area, there can be some delays at check-out, but there are plenty of "those" magazines that you can glance at and snag some headlines, without having to pick them up and publicly embarrass yourself. (Seriously, the bachellorette picked him?!) Lastly, for lush contingency of my review readers, there is a Publix Liquors attached for all your libation needs. read more

I came to the store for a quick lunch and approached the deli and after she quickly took care of 3 people ahead of me I was greeted by Supaporn. Supaporn took care of me like no other she was very nice, took her time with me, and made sure I got what I wanted, and she even went out of her way to get me banana peppers from the store shelf when there wasn't any. For selection, this place is pretty good. It's a MASSIVE Publix, one of the largest stores I have ever been to. That being said, it is almost constantly busy and parking can be really tough to find. I don't tend to shop here purely out of the hassle of going there -- too many people, too few parking spots. I'll stop in if I really need to get something and I'm in the area, but I'd rather go to my mainstay Publix than shop here. read more

I love Publix!! The North East is really missing out on this supermarket. I have seen some complaints about how busy it gets, but if you are from NJ and NY (like I am) then you have not experienced a busy supermarket. I always find parking, but I'm also not expecting on always finding one of the first parking spots near the entrance. Walk people! The exercise might do you some good! I have only lived in Florida for about 8 months and have been to a few Publix locations so far. South Tampa is IMO is the best I have been to thus far because of the fresh produce, meats, and the convenience of the order online deli (which have always filled my order on time and correctly). The employees are also very friendly and helpful. I would have given it 5 stars if I could find a GLUTEN-FREE section, but that is my fault for not asking someone. read more

This Publix has an excellent selection of produce and meats. I looked for a duck at several grocery stores before finally finding it at this store. The BOGO deals are great! I usually save $40-50 off my weekly grocery bill (normally around $140 before the BOGOs and discounts). Check out the deli for the Rotisserie chicken and Mac & Cheese. Great for lunch or a last minute dinner. You can also get a huge Boar's Head sandwich for under $6. The bakery has lots of great treats. I have brought doughnuts into work from Publix on a couple of occasions and my coworkers loved them. The florist in the flower section will help make impressive flower arrangements for under $25. My only gripe with this Publix is that it gets too busy and there are not enough parking spaces. read more

This is a great location and probably the most convenient in south Tampa. Everything is generally fresh, and the interior is that of the new Publix floor plan. The only downside is parking is rather limited, and this location gets very busy after work and on the weekends. However, in my opinion it's worth the effort. read more

I'm a scrapbooking enthusiast who will pay top dollar for any stationery items that fancy me. Nothing cool here since Publix isn't a real stationery store, but I saw that they really didn't have much. Picked up a packet of stickers and the cashiers were so nice. The store looked rather organized, but it was rather warm in here. I started to sweat after a minute in here wtf? Would have given five stars if not for the temperature. Unfortunately this store is just getting worse and worse. Not enough organic meats and produce. No "serve yourself" hot food bar at the deli. The hot foods that they DO have are for how people used to eat 50 years ago: fried, greasy JUNK. Store is too small for how busy it gets (there's no other Publix for miles). They need to tear down this store and re-build it for the 21st century. HINT: More vegan foods, a taco/asian food bar, better produce, install self-checkout, etc. read more

Depending on which way I take home this is one of the 3 Publix's by me. I do like this Publix as it has a big selection of items. Being that I have 3 Publix's in close proximity I have noticed that an item not at one might be at the other, this is both a gift and a curse. The same goes for the Publix liquor stores, an item not at one can usually be found at the other (pro tip: call ahead and confirm). Like most Publix's the store is very organized and shopping here is always a pleasure. This particular store offers valet. It also share's a lot with an Edible Arrangements store and KeKe's Cafe. I generally avoid this location on Saturday's and Sundays because the KeKe's breakfast/Brunch crowd can make parking tricky. read more

Having just moved back to South Tampa, after about 10+ years gone for work, this location was a great place to shop, phenomenal customer service and really only competed with the the closed Kash Karry (now a Winn Dixie) on Swann in Hyde Park. Moving into a home in GolfView just off Henderson, you can imagine my delight knowing that Publix was less that 5 minutes away. My first visit there about a month ago went something like this: 1) Arrive at Publix on a Saturday 2) drive around the parking lot for about 10 minutes trying to wrangle a spot 3) never find a parking spot 4) drive away and go to Winn Dixie, Hyde Park. Result: Got a loyalty card there and have been shopping faithfully and enjoying my ever increasing gas discounts. Last night, decided to stop at this Publix real quick - I mean it is a Tuesday evening - take a chance on parking Derek! Parking was not too bad, although still pretty crowded. I pulled in and rejoiced that I could give my local Publix a try! Walked in and the first thing I notice an employee with a green apron that has brought the carts back in the store is leaning against the shopping carts texting on his phone. After standing, there looking at him, waiting for him to move, he finally looked at me and said "what?". I then pointed at the carts and said, "just trying to get one" and he rolled his eyes and moved a few feet to the left. Okay, not a brilliant start but maybe he was texting for an emergency or something. I proceed over to the hot deli counter and all the girls are screaming back and forth at each other in Thai or Vietnamese. I couldn't exactly decipher which language above the loud hum of their voices. Proceeded to meat deli and was assisted by a very nice older lady with white hair and she made me smile (great employee). After about $40 in sandwich meats and cheeses for a party later that evening i rush around trying to buy wine and more. I didn't really interact with anyone else during the shopping... the aisles seemed well stocked, the fish and meat counters looked fresh, veggies well taken care of... etc. They did not carry the Starbucks Iced Coffee I like in the cold area - no biggie; I can always swing by the WD tomorrow. Then I get to checkout.. oh boy, this is when it all breaks down. The service by the cashier Julie (loyal team member since 2006) and her sacker at about 6:30 pm was nothing less than nonexistent. Julie (frowning and looking down) started immediately checking my groceries and I hear "Plastic fine?" screamed down the counter at me from the female sacker? I don't have a chance to answer as she turns to chat with all the other girls in green uniforms walking back and forth, bored and excitedly talking about plans later in the evening. One girl stops by and starts dancing with my sacker - not once do any of them look at me, a confused man standing there in the black suit, wondering if anyone is going to provide some interpersonal customer service. Finally the lack of ANY service is deafening to me so I say, "so, Julie, how is everything going today?" in which she continues looking down, frowning and says "Guess I'll make it". The sacker stops doing her job when she hears me break the silence and stares like I broke a cardinal rule by interrupting their job. She never said anything, just rolled her eyes and continued sacking. $180 is announced and I swipe, sign in silence and am handed a receipt. No thank you, no can I help you out, nothing. Bizarre! As I push my car to the door I counted 12 girls in green tops running around horse playing with each other doing absolutely nothing. I decided to call since my receipt said that the general manager was John. Got in my car and dialed... Antonio (I believe) answered in Customer Service - but he spoke so fast that I couldn't really get in name). I asked for John "Not here" well then can I speak to the store manager? "He is off". Can I speak to the Assistant Manager? "they are off too". What about the Front-end Manager? "Off". I say, "are you trying tell me that at 7pm on a Tuesday, with a crowded store, there is no management in charge?" Antonio says "yep - no one in charge except we have a Grocery Manager back there". I said "so, there is no one there except the grocery manager until tomorrow?" "Yep". I thanked him and said I would call back and he just said, "Okay and hung up". This seemed crazy to me. I'm not a grocery executive - but I am a Chief Executive of my company and to leave a business of that size alone, with bare minimum management and a customer service representatives answering phones that cannot handle service recovery calls just seemed unacceptable. If I had been able to share my concerns with management - I wouldn't have to resort to social media. I'm not sure if I will give Publix another try and if I do... they have set the customer service bar so low, that the only direction would be up. read more

"Where shopping is a pleasure!" Only do my main grocery shopping here! Cleanest, spacious, friendly, and they have everything you need, why would you shop anywhere else?! Produce is always fresh and they have a large organic section :) The guys at the seafood counter are always awesome, and the sushi is so good! One of the better Publix grocery stores in the Tampa Bay area. I'm spoiled because the great big Publix in Citrus Park is considered the crown jewel of our area, however this Publix on S. Dale Mabry below Henderson Blvd. is very nice as well. The store is spacious and well-lit with a large selection of fresh, canned, and packaged goods, along with their famous customer service and BOGO (Buy One Get One) Publix deals. I'm not going to drive all the way down from Carrollwood to be a regular shopper at this store, but for people in the neighborhood they certainly have an excellent choice in their backyard. read more

I was planning a Friendsgiving and expecting over 20 people so i thought what better way to cater, then ordering from my neighborhood Publix! I placed an online order 2 days before my event for 50 naked wings, 2 lbs of pulled pork, 2 lbs of potato wedges, and a lb of fried okra and scheduled a pickup time for Saturday at 7:30 (pm). At 7:05 i get a call from Publix confirming my order for 7:30 am the following day... (is Publix even open at 7:30 am??) After explaining to the worker that my party was that night she promised that the food would be ready in time. I wait until 8:30 to pick up the food to give them plenty of time to get it ready and when I got to the deli I had to wait 15 minutes for one of the five employees standing around doing nothing to actually speak to me. After giving my name they seemed confused and could only locate my wings and potato wedges. Then I was advised that they had been out of okra and it would take 10 minutes for the pork to be ready. What is the point of putting in an online order 2 days beforehand if they aren't going to reserve the materials needed or even have it ready at the right time?! At this point I'm stressed and irritated so Brenda (the worker that called me earlier) gave me a pan of stale old macaroni and said she "hooked me up" with pulled pork. I get home and unveil all of the food to my guests and low and behold, Brenda "hooked me up" with whole unpulled chunks of pork that was greasy and fatty. Someone had to devote 20 minutes to getting all of the pork pulled, but it wasn't the same as properly pulled pork. I ordered naked wings and I got 50 fried, breaded, and greasy wings. Never have I ever been so disappointed with Publix's performance and it was incredibly embarrassing to be hosting a Friendsgiving and being screwed over. I called the following day to complain and the deli manager didn't apologize for this poor service and said she would just issue a refund. I appreciate the refund, but this mishap by Publix was extremely inconveniencing. If you're planning a party and wanting to buy food from the deli, I recommend taking your business to a different Publix, where employees actually value their customers business. read more

One of my favorite stores, with very friendly staff. I would say the best thing I like is the rotation of specials and the samplers around the store. This is almost as thick as a Sams club. The stand at the front with the recipes always rotates, and the woman who runs it always has suggestions. I like having a meat counter, and the deli here is excellent for a grocery deli. They do bake very well at Publix, and this store has a very talented bakery staff. I would have rated this higher, but I think the produce still needs help. read more

This has quickly become my favorite Publix. Shopping is a pleasure at this Publix. This is more of a real grocery store than the Greenwise that's about 1.5 miles away. Parking is a bit of a pain here but that all depends on when you get here. There's a Publix liquor store next door and a Crispers two more doors down. Publix can be very expensive. Take advantage of the BOGO's and you should do fine. read more
