Publix Bakery absolutely nailed Adria's 13th birthday cake! I gave them a vision -- bold, glam, a little fierce -- and they delivered beyond expectations. The leopard print detail around the sides, the red frosting, and the custom "13" candles were everything. It looked high-end, boutique-level, and completely fit her personality. I provided the leop icing sheet + candles from Amazon. Not only was it beautiful, but it tasted amazing too. The cake was moist, the frosting was rich without being overly sweet, and every single guest asked where we got it from. Ordering was easy, pickup was smooth, and the decorators clearly put care into the details. Publix continues to prove why they're the go-to for custom cakes. The lady working at the bakery was very friendly and helped suggest a similar cake when we were looking for their sold out strawberry cheesecake. She suggested the strawberry shortcake and ensured it was a very popular seller. The cake was a bit dry and had too much cream. We appreciated her help, but will stick with the strawberry cheesecake next time. read more

Publix supermarkets just gets worse. Shop at Conway/Curry Ford store and Lake Margaret/Semoran). Bread is continually full of uneven holes. Other bakery products often dried out (changing 'best by' dates?). I recently had a cinnamon loaf that was so bad, I returned it (I rarely return anything). I rarely buy fruit there because it is usually bad. I took a chance on fruit this week at Lk Margaret - raspberries on sale now for a reason: had to throw out half of them (spoiled, old). Bought fresh figs - flat, no flavor. I'll be back to buying only canned fruit! All this at ridiculous prices! I told people that once the supermarkets had excuses for high prices (2021 - 2024), they would never reduce them. And, voila! How to beat them - only buy on sale items and 2/1 deals. Stock up on sale items. I have emailed the company in the past, but the info falls on deaf ears. Looking for another source - but moving to coast and only store is - you guessed it - Publix! We don't buy from Walmart since Christie Walton donated millions to riot groups and hard working store owners lost businesses to looters. read more

This particular Publix is located on Lake Underhill Road in a decent Shopping Center. There is plenty of parking and the inside has the usual Publix items, as well as their fantastic customer service. There are a lot of reasons why Publix has become one of the top supermarkets in the southeast. Of course, that customer service had a big thing to do with it. But they also have very good sales including their BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals. In addition to those, we cannot forget that they also have great sub sandwiches. These Subs are affectionately called Pub Subs and truly are some of the best subs you can get in Florida and the southeast, now the Publix is expanding beyond the Sunshine State. I would definitely recommend the supermarket and I give it five stars. If you are familiar with Publix, you know why I am giving them five stars. If you are unfamiliar with Publix, go check them out and I'm sure you will be a lifelong fan. read more

This review is for the deli area. I'm not from Florida but I heard the hype around the sub sandwiches they offered and was told to order the hot honey tenders for a sub. Wow was I surprised. How good could a grocery store sandwich be? It was fantastic. They loaded the chicken into the sub, and everything tasted so delicious. This has the sub chain beat hands down! Keep it up Publix! Looking at the one star rating of this Publix is partially why I'm writing this review. I shop this Publix regularly and have never had a bad experience. Its clean, well organized and every associate I've encountered is helpful and friendly. If I've asked for help finding a product they walk me to it every time. Quick and efficient checkout. I've never waited more than five minutes. My last two visits on both occasions a customer had a problem with a misunderstood price. Both times the cashier kept her cool and left the customer happy, honoring the price customer misunderstood. Believe me, I might not had been so patient. Whenever I have a full cart, bagger always offers to help me take it out. Cant see giving this location a bad rap. Only wish is their deli was a little bigger with seating. No big! read more

The Rock Springs Rd. location in Apopka,Fl. Has the worst deli department of any store I've visited. If you place an online order be ready to wait another 30-45 mins after said pick up time. This is the third time it's happened at this location. And once you ask for the status of said order they then begin to make it in front of you because it wasn't even started. Highly advice skipping this location it's never on time for anything. read more

Hands down, one of the best grocery stores to shop at. Everyone is kind, welcomingly, almost oddly always in a pleasant mood and happy. The staff I spoke to was friendly but one person had his mask down under his nose and another wasn't wearing one at all. I asked the person with the mask down under his nose to pull it up. He did, but then pulled it down again when he walked away. To the man with no mask: I asked him where it was, he said "the office." Longtime Publix customer who appreciates the clean stores. However, during this pandemic their prices have been raised 10-25% on many items, from meats, fruits, vegetables, dairy to frozen Birds Eye vegetables. And since I'm venting, their selection of products in some areas is poor. How does a store chain choose to ignore a quality line of products such as Heinz, other than ketchup, replacing the Heinz picked with Mt. Olive.......obviously a better mark-up profit line, at the cost of quality if not choice. read more

I loveeeeee Publix but this one is making me HATE Publix!! I work across the street so it's our 1st choice for lunch break (ps i have a car, but still choose Publix to eat lunch) well for the past week they have had NO Potatoe wedges or chicken up during the busiest hours of the day thinking they just sold out i ask a deli clerk just to find out THE FRYERS ARE DOWN. I dont know if that's their excuse for everything or whether it's just my luck 2 days in a row‼ well long story short i said i would just grab a sub saves me money anyways because I can get subs on EBT vs paying on my debit card big mistake...get to the register and the guy says they checked it out as a HOT SUB in the back, and that i can walk back there and get them to change it i politely walked out!!
