The employees are very rude and disrespectful, and some even outright inappropriate. I don't know if it's me, but I don't think I should have to be sexually harassed by an older employee who works in the front service and bags my stuff. The fact that Publix allows this kind of service is extremely unacceptable and I don't think anyone should have to experience this kind of behavior. I used to love this store, I don't know what has happened with the employees and food. For starters food being on the shelves that is expired. Not just by a day or two but by months on certain products. I went to buy something yesterday and it was two months past expiration. 2 months!! Multiple times I have had to go back and return items. Another thing is food going bad prior to the expiration date. I don't know if that's a storage issue or what. I even told an employee about the items expired on the shelf and he just looked at me like it's not his problem. Every time I go the employees stocking shelves are standing with their phones in hand obviously not caring about their jobs. Maybe management should take some notes and start making sure employees are doing their jobs instead of playing on their phones. read more

Coming to this Publix for many years (ever since it opened) and never had I been able to delight myself on freshly baked goods. Finally this past week my dream came true. Visited the bakery section. At around 930am and it was fully stocked and everything was just done and crispy. Everything else if great, this store is always clean and the staff is always willing to help. read more

I know people always say your Publix is not better than my Publix but in this case it's true. The staff at my Publix is just so helpful. They get you what you need immediately, always ask me if I had a good time and yes, I had a great time. If you have a piece of meat, they'll cut it however you want if you want a fruit bowl with specific fruits, they will build your bowl for you if you want a fresh loaf of bread and you want them to slice it for you they will and I don't know if all the other Publix do this. I always find what I need because of how organized it is in there. 100/10 read more

I went on a Monday morning and actually had a very pleasant experience. I was greeted nicely by practically every employee and managed to find everything I was looking for. The layout of the store is a bit challenging to navigate for first-time visitors, as some essentials like bread and produce are on the opposite ends of the store. But when I asked a staff member for help on finding something, I was gladly helped. Their selection of plant-based options was also far larger than the selection of other markets in the area, so I'll definitely be back! read more

I purchased seafood cheese spread today for my brothers bday gathering. What i thought to be a long piece of crab meat turns out to be a Clorox wipe. I immediately returned to the store and asked to speak with a manager. Matt Troy the "manager" response was oh man ill have to send this to QVC and told the cashier Juana to refund my $2.99. I usually frequent this Publix because it's so close to my house. I'm also a big fan of Publix; great BOGO deals, clean environment, quality deli meats and I love their hot case food. Publix was also one of my first jobs when I was younger. I worked in the Deli and so I'm well aware of the horrors they face when dealing with certain customers. I always go the extra mile to be especially nice and let whom ever is assisting me that I appreciate them and their hard work. That being said the experiences I've had with some of their deli workers is horrible. I've gotten nasty stares, some of the women don't even bother to hide that they're bothered by my presence. I'd like to think maybe they're just having a bad day but when I am the first person on line for the deli case and I am completely ignored and skipped over so she can help another Spanish speaking customer that's unacceptable and unprofessional. When I'm trying to get some things from the hot case and the person helping me gives me one item and walks away to start helping another Spanish speaking customer when I wanted something else is ridiculous. When I speak up and say "Excuse me. I wanted to get one more item please." and they roll their eyes and give me a nasty look that's just terrible service. I'm Asian and, ever since COVID, have experienced some really hateful and nasty people in the service industry and in my day to day life. So when these sort of things happen and I see these women turn around and be so friendly and polite and willing to go the extra mile for everyone else it makes it seem like their actions are racially biased and discriminatory. Even if there actions are not racially fueled they are still bad. No customer should be treated this way. It's honestly disgusting. While some of the deli workers have been done their job wonderfully the 3 older women I repeatedly have had these same experiences with is enough for me to call it quits. I love publix but when it comes to this particular one and their bakery dept I always choose the one in meadow woods 1st. I called to see about a social order of a naked cake for my daughter graduation and was told that they don't do that particular type of cake. I asked if they can do one for a special order at least and they told me they don't take special orders and they discontinued naked cakes through out all publix. When I called the meadows woods store Angie from the bakery dept was more then welcoming on the phone and assured me they always try their best to fulfill special orders as long it's not copyright from another baker. And also naked cakes aren't discontinued and they will be more then happy to do my daughters graduation cake... Tip*** always use meadow woods publix bakery! When I used to use publix sabor it was the same thing poor service and my cakes were always wrong in colors and filling so I'm guessing it's the same staff from the old publix sabor . But since I've chosen meadow woods publix bakery NEVER had any issues... Other wise the store is nice and clean and I usually go here Bc it's closer to my house and Bc of their kosher section.... The pharmacy staff is very helpful as well! The seafood dept needs a little attention only Bc I ordered a cleaned whole snapper and when I got home I had to clean the fish myself Bc all the scales were still on the fish. This is the latest Publix in the area, what's interesting about this Publix is that they closed two Publix stores in the area and built this one. This is a newer model store and that was needed due to the other stores having the older look. This is a modernized Publix so the usual departments are still in tact such as the Deli, Bakery, Produce, Pharmacy, Meat, and Seafood. read more

My sister a mother of twin girls went in today to do her grocery shopping as usual and unfortunately had an encounter with a manager named Jennifer. My sister was having trouble with her items as some were not included in her WIC/EBT and in return was treated poorly. So poorly that my poor sister went home in tears as she felt she was being treated differently. The manager handed her a receipt and told her to figure it out on her own. It's sad to know that people who are already having a difficult time surviving during this pandemic can't even be treated with decency. Having shopped at Publix for over 40 years, I was excited when a sign appeared designating a PUBLIX in our "new home" area. Fresh fruit and vegetables, a great deli, and "home cooked" meals make my life so much easier. But the best thing about this place is the personnel. They go "beyond" expectations and NEVER fail to try to facilitate and welcome me each and every time. They act like they're glad I'm there. I'm not sure how, but I ended up staying in Kissimee. I had no idea where anything was and I went on a Yelp search for a grocery store. I decided to stop by because it was relatively close to my condo. The staff was super friendly. We basically walked through the entire store and were greeted by many smiling faces. They had a really good selection of everything we needed - produce, beverages, toiletries, etc. We were happy with everything we purchased. The prices aren't cheap. That didn't necessarily bother us but some things seemed a bit excessive. Strangely, this was one my my son's favorite places. He still talks about the store and raves about it to anyone that will listen. He was definitely taken with some of their snacks. I believe chocolate covered pretzels were high on his list. read more

Love Publix. This location is fairly new as they had a smaller store on the same road down the block. They also had a Publix Sabor down the road in the other direction. Both of those locations have now been closed down. I can only assume they were closed to make room for this location. The other locations appeared to be smaller than this one. This used to be a Winn-Dixie before becoming a Publix. It is set up as most are. Very organizing and clean. Bathrooms are clean and well kept. Great polite and helpful staff. The one downfall in all Publix's are the deli section. Either too many people working the sandwich section and not enough cutting cold cuts or the opposite depending on the day I notice it. They do have great tasting ready to go soups and chili. Good bogos every Thursday. They do tend to be a little higher priced then per se Walmart or Aldi's but for the convenience of not having to go into a Walmart parking lot or having to make sure I have a quarter for a shopping cart at Aldi's it's worth it. read more

This Publix is going downhill sadly! And I can't understand why really. It's always busy and it's only been here a year or two. It seems perhaps it's bad management. Every time I have been here lately there is only 1 cashier or lane open, and every aisle is blocked with someone stocking shelves. It's getting as bad as Walmart! The thing about shopping at Publix, and paying a little higher prices than at Walmart or Winn Dixie, is supposed to be because of their reputation of great service.
