The one way enter and exit sliding doors outside are commendable, but does ZERO good when you have a bottleneck crisscrossing, where people are colliding and crossing over one another in the middle to enter the store. The hall monitor will definitely let you know when you're going in or out the wrong one, even though the two interior sliding doors are a free-for-all and anything goes, causing a chaotic hurricane like swirling into the store. Their assistance would be much more helpful monitoring the one-way isles inside the store. Just today (Sunday @ 1000) I had to fight my way through people either not noticing (or caring?) the one way signs. Five people coming toward you and you're the only one fighting your way through the narrow canned isles in the crowd, I would think they would get the clue, but apparently not.
I even had to ask a young man in the frozen food aisle (side closest to fruit counter) to move his cart, because it was behind him with the frozen food door opened and on the other side there was a small freezer also blocking the one-way aisle. He said he done it on purpose. However that was the only way in that whole entire (wide) aisle and he didn't look like he was moving anytime soon. That makes no sense to deliberately block the entrance to a large frozen aisle because you're restocking the end freezer. I had to squeeze between his cart and the small white frozen ice cream freezer he had blocking the aisle. Definitely not social distancing.
Six feet = LARGE alligator.
Many of people in that store have potentially been bit!
BTW FYI: The Deli Counter should definitely be double bagging the food. Those thin plastic bags are definitely not much reassurance, even if you do wipe them down. What if there's a rip or tear in it you can't notice? The thin plastic bag is the only and last defense from your food that's sitting right there. (Think about how many places those thin bags touch...the counters, cart, conveyor belt, deli/check-out hands.) I prefer to have them double bagged and then throw the contaminated outer bag away and put the uncontaminated clean bag in the refrigerator.
Refrigerated germs = BAD
Also, if you want to make one big line and separate them at the end, make a separate line for the express line...and keep it on the express side. It defeats the purpose of social distancing when you make the express line walk to the other side of the building and wait in the produce section, only to walk all the way back to the entrance side of the building to stand in the express line. Crisscrossing back-and-forth (once again) between employees and customers still shopping, defeats the social distancing purpose. There were only two other express customers sprinkled in with the 12 full cart customers. So two lines...not one.
Lastly, why are all your 6' blue tape social distancing markers in the middle of the aisle, sidewalk, row, etc? This makes people stand directly in the middle, blocking everyone from going anywhere. (Making it extremely hard to social distance on either side.) You even have the customers at the post office standing in the middle of the sidewalk down in front of the PO because your blue tape runs all the way down past it and the post office customers stand in the middle of the sidewalk lined up outside in front of the post office. Weird!
