It is rare to find people like her.. I would definitely recommend such person across Publix store.. She is a great example.. I would definitely update the GM and District manager for this store. First time at Publix and was told to try their deli station because they make delicious and fulfilling subs. They have two different brand of meat selections of Publix and Boar's head. The Boar's head for sure taste slight better and meatier. The worker filled my sandwich with meat, cheese, and the fixings! I honestly would come back to try their chicken tenders sandwich. read more

Publix had become the leading supermarket in Florida and has since expanded throughout the southeastern United States. They became the leading supermarket by putting a strong emphasis on customer service. They bring the adage "the customer is always right" to new levels. Add to this fantastic BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals and that alone makes for a winning combination. Add to this the iconic subs that they make in their deli (affectionately known as Pub Subs) and they become virtually unbeatable. These subs are pretty amazing. I usually go with their Italian sub or their roast beef. Both are excellent and I guess anything you would order at their deli counter would be a winner. I must say that I woukd definitely recommend this particular location or any Publix, for that matter. I choose to give it five stars for their steps in making sure a visit to a Publix is always a wonderful experience. read more

You can never go wrong with a publix. I do however like how much bigger this publux feels compared to my usual Hunt Club Publix. Im not sure if it is different lighting or a smarter layout . But the isles feel wide, bright and spacious. This particular location was so clean and organized. Service like usual is always great. Make sure and check the weekly deals in store as well as in the deli area. The BOGOs are always nice and a good way to stock up. read more

Just left my regular Publix really missing my Mom and Dad this time of year. Got to talking with Roger who was packing my bags. He offered to take my groceries to my car, so I let him. We got to talking about the weather in FL. We spoke of the FL freezes that used to be more commonplace. He said he's lived here since 1954 after the war where he served in Iwo Jima. I thanked him for his service to our country. I shared that My Dad also ended up in FL after the war. It was a warm reflection on a special time in our shared history. When my bags were loaded, I looked up and Roger was standing with my car door open for me! Such an expression of kindness I needed on this difficult day. Thank you, sir! read more

Adore this Publix! I know, I know, you are thinking: "Publix are all the same" but I would have to disagree! This Publix is the closest one to my apt but that doesn't mean I don't have other options. However, when I am looking for a friendly staff, clean and fully stocked shopping pleasure... this is my go to! The deli counter here is always helpful! Some Publix locations lack the attention this location gives to customer service. They always listen to my request of slicing my lunch meats thin, even though I know it's annoying for them because it take longer but they always do it here without question. I have actually had other locations say... like paper thin? Are you sure? Listen... if you show me a slice and I say thinner... why are you asking if I am sure? If you didn't want my opinion or want to know how I want it... then why ask? Also, everyone cleaning or stocking throughout this location are always saying hi and asking if I need assistance. Publix is usually pretty consistent with all of their stores, and this one follows their model of great service. Always a good experience coming here, be it at the deli counter or the register, service is always on point and the store is always clean and in order. The only reason why they lost a star (wish I could make it a half) from me is for the one time they didn't have key limes and I needed them for ceviche. I still can't believe they didn't have key limes that day, considering they always have them. read more

A Publix is a Publix is a Publix as far as I'm concerned, although after going to one in Georgia recently & ordering a Publix sub only to be a little let down I have begun to rethink that statement. This location is layed out differently than the one down the street in Altamonte Springs, & I noticed that their selection of side salads & other various items in the deli section are much less. Yet, the sun I ordered was delicious & flavorful & the sales specials are really fantastic. Today as we were perusing through the aisles, I noticed that Breyer's ice cream are two for $5 & I saw Reese's peanut butter syrup here!! I don't see that product too often so naturally I had to pick some up! It really is ironic though that ice cream is next to fruits & vegetables lol. read more

Publix has really done a lot to step up their game. This location in particular is the closest to where I work, so I normally stop in to get a sub or a few other snacks for the work week. Despite being what seems a fairly busy location, I've never been disappointed in the cleanliness of the store, as well as the customer service. Also, if you've never used the online portion of their website to order a sub or anything from the deli, you are missing out! This will easily cut your wait time down by 5-15 minutes in the deli area! On the flip side, I do agree with some of the other reviewers here that it seems that Publix has become increasingly more expensive than some of the other alternatives in the area (Aldi and Walmart). But, I get it. With a more upscale vibe, look, and employees that make you feel that they care, I can see why they are in the position they're in. read more

This place is always clean, super friendly, and always willing to help. My only issue is they stopped selling Pepsi bottles soda. The deli dept is always packed and so u can wait a while, but worth the wait. Produce always looks great. Pharmacy tech guy is hilarious. Parking can be a bit of a pain at certain hours. But I expect it as Anthony's pizza, and the Chinese restaurant next to it is disturbingly flipping awesome too. So needless to say this plaza is a hot zone for greatness. read more

Publix is always a great place to shop. We usually go here for certain items as their prices are the highest most of the time. But they do have good sales to watch for. We mostly go here for yogurt & greenwise meat products. This particular location is always clean, and has great customer service. I can always get out of there pretty fast even during peak times. Their staff is very knowledgeable about seasonal fruits, vegetables, and seafood. They always have a sale rack by the ice cream I like to stop by before I check out. Sometimes there is something new or fun there to buy I normall wouldn't because it is on sale! Publix is by far one of the friendliest grocery stores and my quick go to for anything I need. They have awesome selections for quick go-to lunch orders, such as subs (best subs!), rotisserie chicken (all the flavors are delicious!), fried chicken wings (spicy, original both are great), they also have other selections available in the deli, sushi, summer rolls, and seawood. I mean if those aren't some great pick ups then, your loss. hehe. But seriously, everything is really good! Everything inside the store is nicely kept together, clean, and the workers are very helpful and friendly. I love coming here, it will always be my go-to grocery spot, and I love knowing that it's only a 5 minute drive. Total bonus! read more

What I rely on them for a lot is their supply of dry ice (which not every Publix has). Teaching Science, that's always something fun to play with! I don't know.. Maybe I am biased. As a former Publix employee (for 5 years) I know the way it is supposed to be done, and it is NOT done that way at this store. I have even spoken to the store manager and waited a while before I came back. It isn't any better. Today I was at the deli. There were about 10 of us waiting and exactly 2 people helping on the counter. There were various employees seen in the back room, at least 2 filling product, and a bunch doing... I am not even sure what. They were not helping on the counter. I was displeased to see that the manager was not managing the situation at all. The 5 - 10 minute wait I should have had, turned into 30 minutes. I expect since I do pay more at Publix to at LEAST get stellar customer service and I have found that at this Publix this is just not the case. They genuinely seem put out if you ask for help locating an item. Finally, at the very end.. their last chance to make an impression on you is REALLY hit or miss. Last week our check out girl was awesome. This week, she didn't even say hello or good bye. I certainty didn't hear a have a nice day out of her. I get that I barely have a choice as to where to shop for groceries. Publix is by far the best, but they are not performing to even their standards lately. I feel like I am at Walmart and if I am going to feel like I am at a Walmart, I might as well shop there. At least walking into a Walmart you KNOW you won't get any help and the employees are rude. When you walk into a Publix I think you expect a little more. You won't find it at this location. read more

Publix isn't a bad grocery, but their prices are inflated and that's what I don't like about them. Relative to other grocers, including upscale ones like Fresh Market, their prices are high. I know lots of people like Publix by default, but I don't understand why. I don't feel that service at a grocery store is something I want to pay a premium for. My family shops everywhere including Aldi, Winn Dixie, Fresh Market, and Publix, with Publix being my least favorite because of the prices. This Publix is ALWAYS busy & you can rarely find good parking. I love this location though. It's not too far from my home & it's evident that their employees have been properly trained. The deli meats & cheeses are always fresh & delicious (whether you get Boar's Head or the Publix brand) & their unbreaded hot wings are THE best. Get yourself a pack of Hawaiian Rolls, some ranch for dipping, & a container of their premade macaroni salad & you've got yourself a meal! This Publix is very close to my house and I am there almost every day. The employees are very helpful - always asking if we are finding what we need. The meat employees are very helpful and will get you what you want if it's not out or answer any questions you have. The produce department is great. We have ordered many platters that have been ready on time and very fresh. The bakery is also great - very helpful. I agree that the lines at the deli are long and could be managed better. I have recently found that there are lots of people back there, but not helping customers. I'm hoping they will work on that because their sandwiches are great, but not worth a half hour wait. Publix has been around for a long time in Central Florida and it is a rarity that I dislike a store. They are almost all cookie cutter in flavor but there are newer and then older versions that provide different flair when visiting. Such as the Publix on Edgewater Drive in Orlando. Originally built in the late 50's/early 60's this Publix had the old sign at the entrance that looks like a fighter jet has been turned on its nose with the wings tucked in. I grew up with this kind of Publix when I was much younger. I like it. The new Publix's don't have any flair. They are usually just stuck in a strip mall with the big green letters. Over all I find all Publix's enjoyable to shop at and while smaller versions usually don't have as big of a selection, but if you ask they will try to get that item you like. As a Florida native, I grew up shopping at Publix. Sure, they pretty much own the grocery racket in the state, but as someone who remembers what it was like in the old days before they expanded everywhere (does anyone remember Food World in the 80s?), I can say with authority that we're better off with them being our primary chain. You've probably been in a grocery store before, so I won't bore you with details. Here are some of the features of this store that warrant my 4-star rating: 1. Ample parking 2. Clean store, not in a shady neighborhood. 3. Friendly and helpful employees. Almost all registers are staffed, making checkout speedy even during peak business. 4. Great selection, including a wide range of vegetarian food. 5. Sushi in the seafood section (not all Publixes have this) 6. Beer selection beyond the standard mass produced coors/miller/michelob crap. 7. Good bakery and produce sections. 8. Frequent deals - I notice many buy one get one free deals every time I'm there. The only issue I've had here is that they have a few baggers who annoy me. There's one guy who always critiques your food purchases...he once gave me a 5 minute lecture about how I bought the wrong kind of honey, even to the point of raising his voice. There's another guy who's really nice but painfully slow, and a girl who will talk your ear off. Overall, great store. WAY better than the WD and Aldi down the road. read more

This Publix is located in Altamonte Springs across at the intersection of Palm Springs and SR 436/Semoran. It's received a few remodeling overhauls over the years, the current layout has a larger, expanded deli and produce area located upfront as you enter the store. The deli staff is very nice and moves people through the counter even if there is a line. Deli sandwich staff do a nice job and call in orders are taken accurately and our office has never had a problem in 15+ years of ordering from this location. This location features a larger, open layout throughout the large store, friendly staff and plenty of sale, featured and seasonal items in stock. Checking out isn't always the quickest, but the staff's friendliness makes up for any extra wait you may incur during prime shopping hours. read more
