I've called three times and each time only get an option to leave a message, even during the posted open hours. I just called and held for over an hour as the system counted down that I was the 14th caller, 12th, etc., up to being the next caller. After holding all that time, I was then sent to the same VM system to leave yet another message. Again, my total time on hold up to leaving a VM was 1 hour and 2 minutes. Extremely disappointed. Now I have no way to know when/if I can get the chemo medicine for my dog. read more

I've been getting prescriptions for my dog for a few years now and I think that Taylor's Pharmacy is fantastic. The staff is always courteous and my prescriptions are filled in a timely manner. Any time I have had an issue they have resolved it quickly and accurately. I do wish they still had pick up service since I live very close. Taylor's Pharmacy is my veterinarians pharmacy of choice. I used them for many years when my dog was diagnosed with a life long condition that required daily medicine. Recently another dog in my care was diagnosed with a condition that requires the same type of treatment. Like all other pharmacies the doctor calls in the prescription and a day or so later Taylors gives you a call. On this phone call they explain their policies and take payment. The prescription is immediately mailed to your home. When you are about a week out for a refill you call them with payment and start the process again. The employees are very friendly and accommodating. I love that they mail prescriptions instead of having me drive across town. read more

It is so refreshing to see a business establishment like this. When you walk in, you feel the small business caring vibe without even speaking to someone. It is very clean. The service from the attendant at the first desk is welcoming. Dropping off the script, the young lady went out of her way to verify exactly when the script would be ready; she listened to my story about not being able to get the medication in other places and there was already a delay in getting my pup his heart failure medications. The typical turn around time was two days minimum for compounding is what I understand but she was able to put a rush on it. It was indeed ready in 4 hours. Wonderful service read more

We have been using this pharmacy for a few years and the service seems to have dropped off severely. Currently on hold and never wait less than 15 to 20 minutes when I call even when the prompt states "you are first in line." Their communication is not great which leaves us having to call multiple times to verify prescriptions are ready leading to anxiety and stress. We have also discovered they state that they "tried to reach out" but in this digital age it's easy to see when they are lying as we have no missed calls, text, or emails. We now have to try and drive 40 plus minutes to get a partial prescription as they can't ship partials. A truly disappointing drop off in service. Will be looking for new providers in the future. read more

This pharmacy is just wonderful. I don't understand the negative reviews. The staff answer the phone quickly and are very pleasant and helpful. Keep in mind it's a small business so may not always be able to respond like a larger one that has a greater number of employees. My cat gets compounded meds and I haven't had any problems with this pharmacy. Taylors is recommended by my vet. I'm not sure why so many negative reviews either. But it seems they are primarily from Winter Park residents and we know how persnickety they can be. read more

I wish I can switch pharmacist but unfortunately this is the only one that offers compounded medication for what my pet needs. There has been several instances let me emphasize SEVERAL instances where the medication that was sent or labeled was incorrect and it is very alarming to think that they also deal with medications for people. I recently adopted a dog. He was an abandonment at my work and I took him in. He had medication for his diabetes that came from the pharmacy, so naturally, I went to fill it up. I was told they didn't have information on the pup and that was fine.. however, when I asked how long it would take they said 3 days? For a dog with diabetes? I told them that it couldn't be that long because he WILL FALL ILL, and they just said it's not a rush kind of medication? I think the rush opinion should change.. there are actually some medications that do need rushing. I came to your pharmacy thinking I could get it quicker as he NEEDS it. I don't like to leave negative reviews often but this Pharmacy is frustrating. We have multiple Canine heart medications that we have to get filled at a compound pharmacy so we are limited. First major problem is they have never answered the phone and always forced to leave voicemails. We had to leave 3 of them over a weeks period to actually get them to call us back and say it was ready. Nothing else during that course. Again we need another one filled and second message left since no one picks up. So we will have to go in to get an acknowledgement and idea when it's ready. I am not sure what the issue is but communication is a serious problem and while I prefer local vs big box this makes it impossible to do that. read more

Rude pharmacist. I've been a permanent resident of winter park for 35 years but currently spend most of the year up north (where I have a consistent pharmacy l) so I was seeking a local pharmacy to fill a low dose ADHD medication. I thought I'd try this for pharmacy as it's right down the street. When I called, the first woman I spoke to said she couldn't fill my prescription because she can't ship it out of state (my doctor provided the wrong address) so I told her I live in Winter Park and she said she'd be happy to fill it. Their policy only allows them to fill this for winter park residents. She told me she was going to put me on hold for a moment to get my insurance information. I waited 10 minutes for a rude man to pick up and say "are you the lady calling about the amphetamines?" then proceeded to tell me he has a consistent customer who he saves that specific medication for as there is a shortage. read more

Taylor's has gone downhill. I was lied too about my prescriptions not being called or faxed in by my doctors office. I received the fax confirmation from my doctor on the day it was sent. I was told two weeks later they never received it. Even after all of that I still don't have my medicines after six weeks. If you don't have to use these folks. DON'T. read more

Horrible, Horrible, Horrible..... We had a prescription for our sick cat of 30 pills on December 10th. We paid in full but they sent us only 8 pills. We called multiple times looking for the status on the rest of the prescription and were told it was either not ready or had already been shipped. The cat needed the meds so the vet ordered a different prescription from Taylors, which we paid for in full and received. They have subsequently called us a month later and said they were ready to ship the now useless prescription. When we told them it was no longer a valid prescription they refused to refund us for the 22 pills we never received and insisted on re-shipping a useless month-old medication. The woman on the phone was NOT interested in helping at all! Worst customer service I have received in a long time. read more

This place takes forever to do anything. My cat has an eye infection and it took a week for them to get the medication prepared. A super nice lady named Sydney on the phone told us to come pick it up today at 5. But when we arrived, the girl at the front who was very lazy and super unhelpful, told us to come back at 530. While running errands on my day off, coming all the way out here, then sitting for 30 mins wasn't ideal. We popped back in at 530 and it still wasn't done.. we had to wait longer. But don't worry the girl went sprinting out of there right on time and left the poor other guy to deal with us. While waiting she also was apologizing to another customer for messing up his order. I just had the best experience on the phone with a young lady who helped me beyond belief. I called asking for brewer's yeast for my wife, (I'm a first time dad!) and she helped me hunt some down within driving distance. She was aware I didn't have a prescription for anything, nor did I even have my medicine filled there. And she still searched for this supplement and even CALLED ME BACK when she found some at the vitamin shoppe and other stores! Taylor's does it right when it comes to selfless customer service!! I have been going here for over a year but I cant stand it. Unfortunately it's the only compounding pharmacy near me. What can I say? This place is slow to return calls, they close at 5:30pm and constantly raise their prices. Also, the service is RUDE RUDE RUDE. Pharmacy Malpractice Lawsuit They have caused me to be symptomatic without my meds they denied. I have severe anxiety, stress, and depression from my symptoms. My emotional break down from their repeated negligence with my Medicines will put me in the Emergency Room encurring costs I cannot afford. I have 2 prescriptions issued with refills valid until June 2018 and 2 new scripts valid for another 6 refills. I have photos of all valid Rxs i will post. The staff was rude nasty and dismissive as was the male pharmacist every month when i called for my refills. Every SINGLE month they made a mistake with my meds going so far as to give me a bag with my meds actually missing inside. I had to DRIVE 66 miles to pick up a bag of empty meds. WHAT KIND OF PEOPLE ARE THEY They denied my medicine refills Yet again last week!! Having a valid script on file. This by the way happened previously in December of 2017 when they refused to refill my prescriptions when my script Was in Fact Current. I have had repeated problems with this pharmacy. There is a problem almost every time I call to have a refill made. Last month, I physically brought in 3 paper prescriptions from my doctor for them to have on file. First refill, Gabi, completely dropped the ball. Having had problems with them on the last refill, I called a week in advance to fill my 2nd prescription. She sad she would have to get approval from my doctor. I said that is incorrect, they have on file the physical prescriptions. I had made copies of them. Then I was put on hold twice. Person on phone was non caring, rude and disingenuous. I'm i'll as well, and I don't need this stress. If they manage to fill my prescription, I'm asking for the last prescription back, and going to another pharmacy. To add insult to injury, they're increasing their prices!!! This pharmacy needs management and accountability. read more

Taylor's Pharmacy isn't a genuine pharmacy, but instead more like a posh drugstore that you can go to for a quick fix to your illness or ailment. It's directly connected to Red Marq so if you have more than one thing you need to get perhaps you can get it all in one stop. This cute shop that sits on Park Avenue carries everything from cough drops and aspirin to rash creams, lotion and tooth paste. You can also get gum and candy here if you have a sweet tooth. Their prices are average depending on what you get of course...some items are pricier than others mainly due to the nature of the product. There are also random but cute trinkets for purchase as well. The store's staff are helpful and can tell you the best thing to buy based on what symptoms you have...and they're extremely nice. Size-wise, they are not very big, but jammed packed with necessities. You can actually find quite a bit depending on what you are looking for. Overall, a good place to go if you are not feeling well or need an everyday item like chap stick or hand lotion. read more

What a wonderful little pharmacy in Winter Park. Having just moved here a few weeks ago, I was sent on a wild goose chase trying to find an Rx that carried a certain compound and wouldn't charge me an arm and a leg since my insurance required a PA and I had to start the med ASAP. Taylor's was sent the script and within 45 minutes they had sent their courier to the lab to pick up the medication compound and they charged me almost 3/4 less than other Rxs in the area. They operated like a very well-oiled machine as I sat there and waited. Major downside that is keeping me from making this a permanent pharmacy, they aren't recognized as a "Pharmacy" by my insurance or my HSA carrier. I couldn't use my HSA debit card even though I have over $400 available. The front desk seemed to be almost insulted when I asked them to run my card again because I knew my balance. Instead of being proactive and explaining their credentials, she loudly asked for another form of payment because my card wasn't going through. Irritating to say the least. I am thankful for Taylor's for having the ability to make the medication I needed, having it at an affordable price compared to others in the area, I love the Mom and Pop feel of the place, but to not accept federal insurance plans or HSA cards is unacceptable. I will obtain the PA through my provider and get the med filled at another pharmacy that will allow me to use my card and insurance. read more

So, I am writing this review after I gave them a second chance. The first issue I came across was the door being locked at 5:28 p.m. They close at 5:30. The hours are not convenient for anyone that has a job. The second issue is how long they leave a customer on hold. Today was 13 minutes before someone attempted to speak with me. Notice I did not say, "help." I was told that the medication that i needed within 48 hours would not be available until Tuesday. When I explained that I needed it sooner, the response was the same, this time with a laugh. Unbelievable. I would rather drive two hours and pay a 100% premium to work with a pharmacy that actually cares about their customers. Absolutely the WORST customer service I have received EVER! read more

i had a prescription for my dog sent on a Wednesday and only through multiple tries in trying to contact them I was told the med would not be ready until Saturday for pick up or delivery on Monday. It is very difficult to reach them by phone. I only use this place because my vet makes me. Everything there moves glacially slow. The first time it took 10 days to get the meds and the reorder took 5 days. I don't know if these are particularly difficult medications to get ahold of, but my vet certainly wasn't expecting tit to take that long. I am prescribed one sleeping medication and am usually given the same generic version of it. when I called it in to Taylor's a few weeks ago I still had some left from the bottle I got while I was still home in Texas and it wasn't until yesterday that I started the new bottle. I couldn't sleep last night and after laying in bed for 2 hours tonight, I looked up the difference of what was on the bottle Taylor's had just given me and the bottle I had from home. after some research and reading clinical trials on the difference between the two (yes, im aware this does not count as a medical degree but is still extremely alarming) the one Taylor's gave me was the generic for the wrong medication even though it was labeled as the generic for what I am prescribed-- that's why I haven't slept. do not get any medications from Taylor's. they may give you the wrong prescription claiming that it's what you were prescribed. read more

I've waited about two weeks for my refill and didn't get it. So I called and found out that my prescription expired, but nobody was going to call me about that issue. Besides, I receive this medication for years it expired before couple of times and pharmacy contacted my doctor for updates. Another reason they gave me my prescription was transferred to another pharmacy. Which is nonsense. I had to transfer prescriptions before when I traveled. The reason I've contacted this place again is because it's compounding pharmacy and I don't have much choice. I believe that is the reason why they can ignore some customers who need little more attention. read more

The people who answer the phones seem to repeat the same sentence over and over "Well, unfortunately it'll take several days to get your prescription.......". My experience with Taylor's was not good. Parking in that area is extremely tight, so plan on at least 15 minutes of circling to find a decent spot. Taylor's Pharmacy isn't "recognized" as a pharmacy by insurers, nor by medical benefits (FSA) cards, or so I was told by the cashier. This means that I'll have to manually file for reimbursement for any out of pocket expenses. Why would this be the case? I've had no issues with any of the chain pharmacies (CVS, Walgreens, Publix). Even though this is a somewhat boutique pharmacy, the experience was lackluster, and actually directly resulted in mishandling of a prescription I was given. At checkout, I was asked to sign some sort of tag to indicate I had received the prescription, and then after completing the purchase, I was handed a wad of papers, and the prescription. Naturally, I requested a bag, which the cashier kindly provided. That's it. End of interaction. There was no mention of "make sure you do such-and-such" with the prescription - no precautions, warnings, or even the common inquiry, "do you have any questions for the pharmacist?" Just, thanks for the money, and have a nice day. This meant that neither the pharmacist nor the cashier (technician?) warned me to refrigerate the prescription [for my pregnant wife], so when I brought it home and placed it on the medicine shelf, it began to spoil. And it continued to spoil until it was the time to use it (two days later). At that point, we noticed the "please refrigerate" warning on the label. This LITTLE BIT of customer service would have made a major difference. Every pharmacy I've ever used informs me of anything out of the ordinary when I pick up medication. Taylor's Pharmacy did not. Now, we're left with spoiled medicine and out of pocket expenses. When we called the pharmacy to explain the error, we were told that since there was a *sticker*, they were not willing to refund the money. They offered a discount on another purchase of the same medication. That really didn't help. It was too late. Taylor's Pharmacy, how about adding these simple steps to your checkout process? I am utterly disgusted with this pharmacy. My dog has been off his meds for 4 days due to their screw up, and since it's an antibiotic. They keep calling and saying it won't be available until the next day. I don't understand how they think medications are not time sensitive. They seem to have absolutely no empathy for my situation and I've requested to use another compounding pharmacy with my veterinarian. Unless you want to take the risk that you won't get your meds when promised, I recommend going elsewhere. read more
