This was my first Aldi experience and I've been to several in different states. I would go on Fridays when it seems they were freshly stocked for the weekend crowds, by Sunday it was mere pickings of the fresh fruits and veggies. Bring a quarter for a shopping cart, you get it back after you return the cart. Bring your own bags or buy it at the store, I have several of their large bags to carry other stuff when we travel they are super strong and durable. People often say if Aldi doesn't have it, you probably don't need it. lol - Love the layout is the same in all their stores no matter what state you are in. The have an increase of organic choices, love their fresh fruit and veggie section and their meats are nearly the same as the warehouses, but depends on the state and type. I think chicken is the same priced per pound but ground turkey is usually cheaper per pound at Costco. If I had no other choice, I would be fine - they have all the grocery items you need and simple household items as well as seasonable items that are a fraction of what they may cost in the big box stores as many items are their own store brand. Better than Trader Joes although there's a relation between the two, I feel Aldi has more fresh items and the prices are better. read more

ALDI - Grocery Near Me - Orlando, Florida

I used to enjoy going to Aldi's for their variety in international type of food but, lately (even before the pandemic) their lack of inventory managing, still persists. You go one day and find few products you like and buy them but, a couple of weeks later, the same products are gone..... managers don't keep track of their products when sold. Than, you ask a local manager and they are all clueless. This happens in many of their stores. I've stopped shopping at their store for the same reason. Each time I shop at Aldis, I always end up going to either a Walmart or a Publix to buy the remainder items I couldn't find at Aldis. Is just a waist of my time. I'm never going back. I've written letters to Aldis directly and all I get is an automated response saying they will be forwarding my complaint to the appropriate department and that's it and no one resolves the issue. It's a disaster. read more

Perhaps the cleanest grocery store I have been to, it took me a while to be comfortable purchasing food from Aldi due to the seriously low prices but after a bit of research it is now my go to store for the essentials. The way they keep costs down is impressive and even though the food is often generic it is a fierce competitor with items even going as far as winning awards (especially their wines). The few employees there are all are friendly and efficient. The most notable associate I have run into here is Marian who always is friendly and conversational while maintaining the swift efficiency one expects from Aldi. The prices are very low for most items but don't expect name brands - these come and go. They have several lines that are there own including an organic (SimplyNature) as well as a gluten-free line (Live G Free) that continue to expand. Each week you can find new items, but along these lines items you may have enjoyed one week may be gone the next. Watch the price markers as these will give you a heads up if you can expect to find the same item next week. This location definitely provides an excellent face for a great company. read more

Very clean with wide aisles. Does not have a lot of name brands but the brands they DO carry are quite comparable. Produce is usually fresh with a wide selection. Meat is usually packed for freezing or portion control. Down fall is that the one cashier (I've never seen 2 at a time) who doesn't really like customers or people in general. You also need to take your own bags as the cashier won't bag for you let alone put things IN your bags even if you are standing under her nose holding your open bag. Not a really friendly place to hang out, but the quality, prices, and variety of items out weigh the downsides. OH- don't forget your quarter as you must "rent" your cart. You get it back when you replace the cart. read more

For economical shopping, I gotta give it to Aldi. The store is a very reasonable size (smaller than a Publix) and super easy to navigate around. The selection of items is somewhat limited but know that going in and you won't be surprised. There are a lot of "store" / generic brands as well but I already buy great value stuff for the kids lunches and snacks. The store was clean and checkout was quick. It's a no-frills kinda joint, but man oh man when you have to pack 3 lunches a day for kids....the savings add up quickly. I could never depend on 100% of my shopping there, but you can bet that I'll fill up a huge old school paper bag for under $20....and I'm good with that! read more

Sucks i totally forgot to check in and take some photos of the store to show the cleanliness of the store, lol but that's ok I have some stuff I could share that I've seen when I was there doing a quick shop for some grocery to cook tonight. First of allI I could definitely say the staff is short but that short staff really had it well put together, I'm talking about keeping the shelves stocked, keeping the floor swept, and the lines to check out were moving swift and efficient. Secondly, the prices are very reasonable it's crazy, I got so many items for little or nothing than I would if I was to go to Walmart or any one of those big grocery stores where I would spend a lot of money for such little bit of stuff. Lastly I like how the store is nice and cozy and cold even when it's a lot of people the air condition still manage to keep the place cold after coming inside from that hot sun ,Welcome to FLORIDA lol where the sun don't care about anybody well being. Out of the 3 Aldis I've been to in Orlando, this one definitely stands out. Nice store and clean. Has a wider variety of items than most stores in the area and always has sales going on. I don't know why anyone would shop anywhere else for groceries. Aldis stands as the second most healthy grocery store in the US after whole foods and is cheaper than Walmart. I absolutely love going to this Aldi location! Not only is this store's cleanliness beats out all of the other Aldi's nearby but they are very organized. Once you walk into the door, you'll immediately see stacks of products at the lowest price. There are imported chocolate, chips, gummy bears, pretzals, granola bars, fruit snacks, and much more. Most of the products are from Germany. The snacks are tasty compared to their competitors such as Walmart, Publix, Target, etc. They are about half the price with the same great taste! The beer and wine section is close to the entrance. Their brand, Winking Owl, is a popular demand and it is only $2.89! Milk is roughly about $2.39! Eggs are $1.09, originally it is only $.99 but prices went up. When you catch their promotions eggs are only 79 cents! I LOVE their produce section! Prices are irreverently cheap! Peaches, Plums, Nectarines, Pineapples, Strawberries, Blueberries, etc.! The register lines will you check out are speedy and they never grow compared to the location in Avalon Park. read more

This Aldi is located in the Lake Nona area. It is clean and well stocked. It is also very empty compared to the one I usually shop at. I have been here several times and never had to wait more than about 2 minutes in line. This one carries many of their higher end products. You will find a lot of specialty items and twice the selection of meats and cheese as a regular store. read more

I was impressed with the clean store, wide aisles, neatly stocked shelves and huge parking lot. If you want a cart, bring a quarter (refundable) so you can get one off of the cart corral. Inside is a mecca of cheap stuff. I was impressed with their selection of very low cost dry goods; from German chocolate to breakfast cereal. My big score this trip was a box of waffle bowls for ice cream for .25 cents! I got some of the produce, and other grocery items and was disappointed. Eggs were very cloudy when cracked, hummus was a little strange tasting, and the tomatoes had already gone bad. This is a great store for dry good for my family, but I think I'll be staying clear of the grocery section. Remember, Aldi only takes cash or debit cards and you do all your own bagging! read more

I had a negative customer service experience when returning items with my receipt. My husband and I did not care for the tuna salad, chicken salad or the oyster sauce. For years we have loved the chicken salad and coveted the SEASONAL Fusia Oyster Sauce. So when we see it, we stock up. Unfortunately, the recipe or vendor must have changed. The oyster sauce used to be thick, black, and almost tar-like with tons of savory, umami flavor. This sauce was tan, poured easily and was sweet. I literally had to double-check the label because I thought it might have accidentally grabbed sweet & sour sauce. I checked the ALDI website and saw they had an "UNBEATABLE DOUBLE GUARANTEE RETURN POLICY - 100% Satisfaction or they'll replace the product AND refund your money! It had only been a couple of days since we purchased the salads but it had been a couple of months since we purchased the oyster sauce. I don't cook Asian-inspired meals often but we love the sauces so I had also purchased 3 others, a Cook House Korean Style Bulgogi Sauce, Korean Gochujang Sauce and a Fusia Hoisin Dipping Sauce. All of these sauces have a shelf life of several years so it doesn't hurt to stock up. I haven't opened those yet. When I arrived to ALDI, not only did the cashier not offer the double guarantee but she did not want to return the Oyster sauce and was very rude and loud about it in front of the other customers. It was very embarrassing. She kept saying it's been 2 months and called for a manager, repeating the time frame loudly. Ultimately, after several protests from the cashier, the manager told her to refund it. I'm not sure why an employee would blatantly go against store policy even after I mentioned it and explained that this sauce was a nonperishable item and I had just opened it. We still had an open oyster sauce we bought at Publix after not being able to find the seasonal ALDI sauce for months. As a smart shopper and homeowner in this community, I would like to be able to continue to shop at ALDI without being humiliated by employees that are refusing to follow store policy, especially when I am completely following store policy. Minimally, we shop at ALDI weekly and are almost always completely satisfied. I only make a return maybe once a year, if that. Their products are excellent! My family has faithfully shopped at ALDI since I was a child in Chicago. I was thrilled to see the chain come to Florida. I have come to expect great service and professionalism from ALDI. The absolute best place to get groceries in Lake Nona especially if you're on a budget. In my opinion Aldi surpasses every other grocery store for their freshness staple ingredients and price point. The store always has fresh produce and things are kept fairly neat. On average I probably save $50 a week my shopping at Aldie compared to the Walmart. When it comes to fresh vegetables staple products like dairy or some meats, definitely always stop by Aldie first. Of course you won't find really premium items like at a Whole Foods store but you'll be surprised how much of you weekly shopping can be completed here. I will stop by Aldie to make sure I have all my basic send essentials, and then I check other stores for specialty or premium items. Now that I've been coming here for a few months I can give a better review. They changed the pricing of their grapes to by the pound. It's not much cheaper than other stores at $2.09+ per pound and the black grapes were disgusting and dried out. It was my first and last time trying them. Stick to the green or red ones. The bread is ok but doesn't seem to last as long as other retailers. I'm use to getting more days after the "use by" date and it seems their bread gets moldy before or right on the date. There are items that I feel you save on but a lot of common items I feel are starting not to be a big difference in savings. read more

Great produce much cheaper than Publix, cuties, blackberries, asparagus - I used to think this was a store for poor people but now I see friends from Whole Foods here. We share our favorite Aldi finds. Great dark chocolate butter cookies from Germany and love the Tempranillo wine. I started out skeptical but have branched out to all their products. If your like me: new to the Orlando area (moved from a big city in the west coast) and are looking around for grocery stores.. Other than publix... This is a jewel in the rough. Yes, you have to pay 25 cents for a cart, if you choose to use one.. What I did was bring two big bags from home and throw everything inside my bags. Easy enough. With that, you also have to bring your own bags or a box. They do have reusable bags for purchase (1.99) yikes! The lady at check out was very sweet and helpful, seeing as it was my first time shopping here. Wait! But I'm not done.... As for the products in the store.. There is a great selection of all your basic needs and than some.. Name brand or not, the quality of the produce is great. I bought a whole lotta stuff for 22$ !!! (Oh yeah, and cash or debit only). And if you are a "wine connoisseur" there are AMAZING deals on AMAZING wines (I've worked for spirt/alcohol store) from name brand bottles to some cool new finds. Not only that, but just on the other side of the store there is a Great selection of food pairings (I was actually surprised by the selection) to go with your wines. I hope this helps. I love going here for my produce as well as stocking up on my snacking needs. They have good prices thats much easier to handle compared to publix & sometimes walmart. If prices arent cheaper, its not far off. It stays interesting because they rotate the selection every so often. I love that its hardly ever packed compared to the club-like crowds at walmart on goldenrod. Most of the selection are unknown brands, but every now and then you'll see a popular one.
