The best grocery store. I shop there daily. Best bakery, best daily, best employees, best produce!!!

I go here because it is close by. I have had some good experiences but seems that those employees are gone. I went today on a busy Sunday afternoon. The normal lines were long so I opted for self checkout. While checking out, a Publix employee came up to me. He did not try to help. He probably could have taken over a register to get some folks checked out faster. Instead, he was asking for a donation. Publix, that is a good thing at the normal registers but when your customers are doing self checkout, seems that you would not engage us unless it is to help. I went to the deli counter yesterday and there was 4 people behind the counter and no one in line. I asked the African American lady with glasses in her 60's for 1/2 a pound of turkey. The lazy black lady behind the counter responded there's some turkey over there. Once again no one in line and I was the only customer. I hope Publix doesn't start going downhill because of lazy employees and lack of customer service. All it takes is a few black apples and people notice. read more

Never chose this Publix for any catering orders. Even after numerous times I verified my order they cancel part of my order for absolutely no reason causing me to scramble for a substitute and the person my husband was working with was uncaring and not concerned about the mistake the store made and the inconvenience caused. read more

I used to visit this Publix on a regular basis before we moved. I returned this week, because I found myself in the East Roswell area. This store is always clean and well-stocked. All of the BOGO sale items are typically in stock. It's easy to navigate the store and find everything I'm looking for. The store is taking precautions to avoid the spread of COVID-19. They have an employee near the entrance sanitizing all of the carts and baskets. All of the employees are wearing masks. They have directional arrows on the floor to contribute to social distancing when walking down the aisles. They typically have plenty of registers open in order to minimize the check out time. I use to come by this store sometimes after choir practice on my way home. Like all the Publix that are in the metro area this store is brightly lit, clean, well stocked and filled with friendly staff. I am never disappointed whenever I shop at this Publix and or any other for that matter. A example of how Publix is different from the other store is when they bag small stuff like my cat food or yogurt they will actually bag them and then tie the top so that the stuff doesn't roll around in the trunk. They will double bag household cleaning detergent and tie the top just in case it might leak or something. It's these little details that sets Publix apart from everyone else...thanks guys. Typical Publix deli. 20 employees behind the counter and none of them want to help you. The lady about to make my wrap was actually happy to tell me they are out of wraps. You're a grocery store. Walk 20 feet and grab another some more off the fully stocked shelf in plain site. read more

I like Publix. A grocery store can tend to be a grocery store, but Publix has always had that home town feel to me. They treat you just a little better than most places and it may just be in my head, but it seems like they are a little cheaper than some other chains, without having to use a "member card." I don't like carrying those advantage cards around on a key chain anyway. The deli in particular I like. Nice way yo get a quick meal when no one wants to cook! read more

Never have I had to monitor what the cashier was ringing up... until today with Kimberli... this chick rang up one item on a counter of four items and gave me the total. When I said I also wanted to buy my other groceries she was like oh and laughed. Well I get a second total and I pay, grab my things and turn to leave when Kimberli goes "oh! You wanted the water too?? I didn't ring that up" now there's a long line and people waiting so I am now going across the street to a proper store to buy the water as I couldn't deal with Kimberli's ignorance any longer. Why is she a cashier if she can't handle ringing up ALL the items a guest puts on the check out counter?!? read more

The Pharmacist (and Pharmacy Mgr.) is the best. She is thoughtful and caring. I don't mind waiting when I drop off a prescription.

I'm writing a review for the florist department of this Publix. We have been going to the Publix grocery store for years and years, but you might not think of the advantages of using their in house florist, David. He is fabulous. We needed flowers in a pinch for a baby shower, and just asked him for something large and pink/white, with two smaller matching bowls for other tables. The arrangements were simply beautiful. This is the nicest Publix I've ever been to. Friendliest people, clean, not busy, well stocked, they are generous with the toppings at the deli sandwich counter. There are 4 or 5 other Publixes in the nearby area. It's not even close how next level this one is. I bring my friends here when they visit, no joke. read more

Bigger store than some, better selection. Been in enough of these now to know that this location does not have the crowded, tiny aisles of some Publix. That and they actually stock the rudiments of Indian and Thai stuff! Wonders of wonders. Produce is reliably OK, not great. And you can get your basic ground meats for sauces and such. Never ventured past that threshold. Other than that, the basics -- butter, milk, yogurt, some spices, paper goods, bottled water -- nothing fancy. OK craft beer offerings too, and it seems to turn over pretty fast as well. Best part is pleasant, helpful crew that I've never seen surly or short -- again unlike some other Publix or, heaven forbid, a Kroger. read more

Went to deli counter to get some chicken for dinner. 4 employees behind counter. I was only customer. Waited at least 5 minutes. Another customer walked up. The employee closest immediately asked him if could help, totally ignoring me. I asked what could he not see me. Again totally ignored. I left and may not return Waited 20 minutes to get sub of the day while she took her time on ONE customer. Finally I was up, line behind me was growing. I ordered. An arrogant east Cobb snob teaching his pre teen daughter the fineries of butting in line ... I just have a question... I went ballistic on him only to have him cuss me out. What has happened to our Publix. All the good people are gone and they are not training the replacements. read more

All Publix supermarkets are superior to any of their local competitors. This is because the company is employee-owned and the treat themselves well. There are employees here that have been working here since the store opened years ago. I don't care much for their meats and they have started carrying way to many pre-packaged vegetables. I prefer to buy only what I need. I don't need family sized packs. Also, they play the same game every other supermarket plays: they constantly rearrange to shelves. This ploy is designed to keep you in the store longer and to impulse buy things you don't need as you search for the new location of what you do nee. Don't fall for this trick. Just ask any store employee where the item you need is. read more

This place is not anything like it used to be...I once was a fan. The previous Store Manager , John, was personable and friendly and always took the time to chat ...but all the friendly people are gone except for Wanda in the Deli. And now that deli needs help badly and its like never enough help on Sundays. The seafood is a joke..only 8 feet of product. The new Store manager Tom is an unfriendly jerk and gives a phony smile that disappears as soon as you look the other way and when you complain to him he always seems like he'd rather be elsewhere. A clean place but prices are way too high, not enough help...rather not wait 20 minutes for a slice of bolonga. Why can't they keep good people here ? GO TO KROGER OR ALDI AND SAVE MONEY AND TIME. read more

I have enjoyed Publix since I was a child in Tampa, and am happy to enjoy the same great experience here in Roswell. We happen to live close to 4 different Publix stores and the Shallowford store is our favorite. Apparently the management is great to work for because turnover appears to be low which adds to the pleasant experience as I enjoy recognizing and being recognized by staff. They all are always willing to go the extra mile - and with a friendly and sincere smile. Selection is great - deli, bakery, meats, seafood staff are always there with suggestions or answers to your questions which is greatly appreciated (especially when I am in a rush). Kroger is right across the street, but any time I have stopped in there, I am lucky to get even eye contact from a cashier, much less a friendly or positive attitude. I love this store. I actually live by the bigger Publix on Shallowford and Sandy Plains and drive passed it to get to this one. The customer service is absolutely amazing. If you go through Karin, Kellie, Weston, or Regina's line, you're guaranteed to leave with a smile on your face and feeling absolutely satisfied. I always get Wanda to make my subs and she's amazing but when she's not there, Caleb is a great alternative in the deli. I order my cakes from Robin and she always does a great job. The produce selection is wonderful and you can tell they're making an effort to expand their organic selections. Joe in the meat department is amazing and will answer any questions you have. When you're going through the aisles, the stock clerks are always hard at work and are willing to help you find anything you need. Instead of how it is at other stores, these boys and girls will take you right to the item. The whole front desk staff is friendly and overall, this store is wonderful. My only suggestion is to not ask for as many donations, but I know you all can't really control that. I love to give, but I can only do so much! Thank you Publix for this amazing store. read more

I'm an avid Kroger goer but today I decided to go with publix. Shopping at this location was truly an experience. Every single employee greeted me and was pleasant. Employees went out of their way to assist me. Great selection and reasonable prices. read more
