Found pieces of bark in a publix salad bag I purchased. Brought it to their attention and just got me upset - they asked ME! to speak with their provider - the hell with that I didn't hired the provider I didn't make business with the provider why would I need to speak with the provider??? Publix! that's your job! All this and I have yet received a "I'm sorry that you had to chew on dirt and bark" or "we will gladly provide you a compensation for the trouble" NOTHING! instead they taking up my time asking me to speak with the provider - such a poor way to handle a consumer's concern! read more

This Publix is a Super Publix, a Publix that was created to battle the huge groceries that are coming up! It has everything you ever need: a liquor store, an Asian food bar, a salad bar, a bakery, a station to pick up everything needed to make a pizza, huge aisles to push your groceries carts (it's probably 1.5 times wider than the average grocery aisle), an area to sit down and eat, and a big parkage garage! It reminds me of the Whole Foods right next to Sunset Place, but it's more welcoming like all Publixes are. If you are ever in the Brickell area and need food, come here! I am sure you will find it. TIPS for visitors: If you are craving a salad, go to the salad bar and load up on those glazed almonds! They are delicious and flavorful. read more

Bro this publix is awesome. I really enjoy eating cottage cheese and today they had a buy one get one free special.. Or as us regulars at publix call it: BOGO. This is my cottage cheese headquarters for sure Epic willy out read more

Whew... where do i begin? Today was a horrible experience. I went to the customer service counter to purchase a $1,500 money order with my debit card like I do every month for my rent. I was greeted by a very racist man named Steve who informed me that using my debit card wasn't allowed. I asked him when did this policy start? He claimed it's been forever. I asked to speak with a manager. Steve then presented Nancy who was extremely condescending and disgustingly rude. I had to stop our conversation at one point and ask Nancy if she knew me outside of Publix? I couldn't understand her misplaced anger towards me. I continued to try to explain I'm using my debit card and entering my pin. This is how I do it every month. Nancy pretty much continued her drama as if she wanted to fight me. Finally a very sane and normal Joe appeared and explained that I'm actually correct and using my debit card is within their policy. Needless to say if Joe didn't arrive, the police were probably going to get called for an assault. Someone need to definitely give Steve & Nancy a course/lesson is customer service as soon as possible!!! Their behavior was unacceptable. read more

HALLELUJAH! I have been waiting for it to open ever since I saw the construction of the building go up. I still don't know how good of a thing it is to have a new, state of the art, fully decked Publix across from my place because my grocery shopping has multiplied from once every two weeks, to twice weekly! The best part about it is that since it just opened they have some amazing deals and promotions, like Sabra Hummus Buy 1 Get 1 Free, my fridge is currently stacked! And their selection of wine and beer is extensive and varied. I haven't been to their pharmacy yet but I'll let you know how it goes once I do (at the end of this week) read more

I think I'm the luckiest guy in Miami to have this Publix in my back yard. I am not from Florida originally and only discovered the wonders of Publix last year. But I am in love. And I love THIS Publix, in particular. It's not that it's clean and bright (it is!)--or that the staff is particularly pleasant (they're not . . .). But the specials are so good! The selection is so inclusive! The produce (before 5:00 p.m.) is so fresh! And the two-for-one sales are so reliable! You can't go wrong. Going to this Publix is a daily pilgrimage for me, and I revel in it, like I have never reveled in a grocery store before. The Cuban bread? Divine! Premixed pizza dough? Delicious! The meats? Superb! Publix-brand anything? To-die-for. Really! Publix brand is so much better than ANY other supermarket store brand I've tried, and I've tried a bunch. I used to think I bled blue from my college days, . . . but now I think I bleed green! *Unlike other grocery stores, there is no store card needed to get the discounts. Everybody gets all the sales at Publix, and that makes life good indeed! read more

I never thought a grocery store could be cool. I was wrong. This Publix is beyond cool. It's bad ass. Dope as hell. Off the chain. Ridiculously awesome. It's setting the bar pretty high to say all these nice superlatives about a store, but after two visits I believe it's warrented. Why, say you? LIQUOR STORE INSIDE THE PUBLIX Friendly, knowledgeable staff. 'Nuff said. (this is Miami) Ample convenient parking LIQUOR STORE INSIDE THE PUBLIX There's a separate escalator for your cart! So space age. I love it Spacious and brand new Has a great selection of organic/vegetarian products LIQUOR STORE INSIDE THE PUBLIX Manned cheese counter (taste tasting encouraged) Did I mention there's a liquor store inside the Publix? Anyway, I live up around 60th St. but you won't catch me with a gun to my head in that ghetto hellhole on 48th and Biscayne. This publix, I love you read more

If we were comparing publixes to liquors, this publix would definitely be top shelf! The parking is convenient, the layout is huge and spacious with plenty of room in every aisle, and the staff is very friendly (especially compared to the other publix at 40-something and biscayne-YIKES.) The only part of this publix that gets a little cramped is the produce section, but I suppose it can't be perfect. This publix has pretty much everything a publix can have- publix cafe, publix liquor store, a specialty cheese station, salad bar, hot food buffet and a pharmacy... It's awesome. The problem with publixes (this is my opinion based on a lifetime of publix shopping) is that the friendly service decreases as the age of the publix increases. I hope this publix doesn't "get comfortable" and let the people with fake smiles and bad attitudes stick around for the ride. Send those people to Wal-mart and don't let the awesomeness fade! read more

I looove this Publix. I am so glad we now have this option, rather than the ghetto 50th Street and Biscayne one. I hear a lot of the Brickell folks come here too, so that shows you how many people like this place, they're even willing to travel a few miles even if they have a Publix within walking distance, so there. Unlike other Publixes, there is a hot bar and a salad bar. They have different soups, or Asian wok-fried options, and you grab a container and fill up with whatever you want. The salad bar has different types of lettuces and all the toppings you could want. I do not recall if they also have self-serve dressings. Since there's a large crowd always, they're constantly replacing the hot meals and the same applies to the baked goods, so everything is always fresh. Speaking of fresh, the veggies always look fresh. They are sprayed every few minutes by an automatic sprinkler, like the ones in Whole Foods. They have ready-made salads which are delicious. I picked up a Baja salad that had grilled chicken, a delicious cilantro dressing, avocado, lettuce, red pepper, and other veggies for about $8. It was enough for 2 meals but I was starving and felt I could pig out on a salad. This Publix feels upscale and gourmet, and although I was hoping we'd get a Whole Foods, honestly, we don't need one anymore with all these selections. Besides, there will be one close to the Epic for those true food snobs, LOL. The employees here are cheerful, helpful and friendly. I remember getting a free bouquet of flowers on their launch, and several of the stockboys asked me to please come back. Nice! There's a Hair Cuttery downstairs, a Publix liquor store (sweet!), a Wells Fargo, a Best Buy Mobile store, what more can you ask for? In addition to the upstairs garage, there is a parking lot downstairs. The most entertaining part for my daughter is the escalator, where you can put your cart and watch it go up on the tracks. She will stand on the escalator by it, monitoring it to make sure it arrives at the same speed we both arrive at the top. The funny thing about this Publix is, all the shoppers seem to be good looking. It's weird, but the last time I went, I felt like the Publix was full of beautiful people, both male and female. People here tend to be on the younger side, and dress well and look normal, unlike at the other aforementioned Publix location. I have never met anyone there but my neighbor met his current girlfriend at Publix while browsing the aisles so hey, in addition to getting food here, you may get yourself a partner in the process. Forget match.com, huh? read more

Terrible service at the deli meats counter, very very sad to have this as my 1st experience at this counter. The counter associate was very rude, like I was bothering her when I was ready to make my order. Then when she went to weigh the cold cuts there was other meat on the weigh machine and she was bothered by me telling her that and then in front of me gave me an attitude and was rudely talking about me to her other team member. Isn't @publix supposed to be one of the most friendly, hospitable grocery stores out there? read more

Sayonara Mary Brickell Publix, you just may never see me again. You used to be the best Publix around but the new Pub on Biscayne and 17th has got you beat, by a long shot. First off, parking is so smooth. Plenty of parking in the garage and no tickets. No need to go up another two floors to get out and then sit in line at the bottom dealing with ticket nonsense. The highlights include: Gourmet cheese station - love that I can get high end cheeses in small portions Salad Bar Hot Foods Bar Grab and Go premade meals Olive Bar The BEST sushi selection I've seen in any other Publix - can't wait to try them all! There is also a small dining area for you to sit and eat any of these prepared goods, a la Whole Foods. Since it's brand new, the store is perfectly clean and the aisles are nice and wide making it easy to maneuver your cart around. And I haven't expereinced any long lines at check-out. Publix's slogan, "Where shopping is a pleasure," truly rings true here. read more

After living in downtown for almost two years it was with tremendous excitement that I awaited the arrival of the a Publix so close to my home... This location is large and generally well-maintained, has a decent amount of parking, and a friendly enough staff. Additionally, they've got all those cool features that you see at some locations, all together in one spot: - Salad bar - Hot food bar - Gourmet cheese station (with its own attendant!) - Large prepared food area (similar to Whole Foods) - A separate, full service, liquor store My only real complaint would be the frequency that the homeless wander in. This is a challenge that the Brickell locations don't seem to have, or at least they figured out how to deal with it a while ago. read more

I love this Publix. It's new, and within walking distance for lots of people in the area. Huge and has anything you'll find in any Publix. Friendly staff and clean facility. Upstair parking garage with plenty of spaces. read more

Try the chicken tender sub! or... sushi rolls. the guys who make it are actually Japanese!! This is one my of favorite Publix. my first being the one in Miami Lakes. This one is new and shiny and fills my heart and stomach with fuzzies when i walk in. Store is always clean and organized. i like the layout of this store it flows very well. The deli is always full at lunch time but they handle it well. TIP: save their number on your phone and call ahead. saves you mucho time and gives you more time to stroll through their great wine selection. read more

This is the new Biscayne Publix at 18th Street. Pretty good store. Feels almost like a Whole Foods with stations set up for specialty cheeses, olives, prepared foods, etc. Very spacious and big store...plenty of room. Good selection of merchandise. Really like the floral department by the front door....its quite extensive. Free parking on 2nd level and escalators for the carts going back up...nice! I might have to ditch the Mary Brickell Publix and go with this one instead. The clerks seems friendlier here without the typical crappy Miami attitude that's so common in all the area Publix. read more

This Publix is larger than average and offers some items you won't find at others, like bulk bins and some exotic produce, also a hot food buffet. That being said, there were no baggies, pens or tags anywhere near the bulk bins, so I had to memorize the 4 digit product code and tell the cashier. Not very bright. I also question the safety of the hot food buffet, as everything sits out totally in the open with tons of by passers. And let me just say some of the patrons look somewhat, ahem, unclean. While they do offer a good selection of produce, including starfruit, pomegranates, fuyu persimmons and even some Asian fruits, the quality is sub par. I got a bag of organic granny smith apples, they are mealy and have brown spots all over them. Somehow, the apples from the Mary Brickell store are fresher and crisper. The eggplants had fingernail holes (yuck) and brown spots. The beet greens were wilted and I had a hard time finding a tomato without soft spots on it. I agree with Alissa W. that the organic selection is sparse. Also, if you shop for special dietary needs, such as dairy-free yogurts or sugar-free jams, good luck. In a store this big, there is no excuse for not carrying those items. They should also have more items on sale, especially considering the lack of freshness. read more

There were so many items missing today, I was shocked. I began at around 2pm. Sooo many holes, missing basics everywhere. The condition of the store reminded me of a pre-hurricane event. I wanted to buy so much more, but the shelves weren't stocked. I am very disappointed. After 3 years in this location, don't you know how many people rely on you for weekend shopping? read more

This publix has a great layout, good variety of fresh produce, especially organic, compared to others. The staff the best I've encountered, always polite and nice. The African American lady in the fish and seafood department is always very kind and welcoming, always greets me with a.. Good afternoon, how are you doing today, what can I get for you today, can I help with anything else? The people who pack the bags are always very nice. Feels good to come here. Not giving 5 stars, because I would enjoy a wider variety of wild caught, not farm raised options. I also would like them to sell the publix Asian mix that they used to sell in the munchies, and for the fish market to not close so much earlier than regular closing hours. read more

I didn't expect this publix to be so nice, I was very impressed with the size and how open and well lit the store was. Only thing I wish they had more organic shelves, and the produce most of it was a little mushy. read more

Very convenient for us tourists. We had to fill an emergency prescription on Christmas Eve. The CVS pharmacy was already closed. We tried Publix, the pharmacy was still open. All they had to do was call our insurance in California - done! We shopped for some provisions, it's very nice. Indoor parking (it started to rain heavily), and store is set up with ready-to-go foods. Prepared soups, sandwiches, cheese and olives. Nice place! read more

I've had good and bad experiences here but overall it's good extra bonus for having a Starbucks right inside the store.

I've been to my fair share of Publix stores in Miami, and I've got to say this is one of the better ones. I've been here a couple of times, and I've never had a bad experience! Quick notes (since you've probably heard it all already): 1) Parking is easy to find, since the lot is huge. 2) The store is always clean, the aisles are always organized, and there is always staff on the floor restocking/organizing. If you need help finding something, ask (nicely) and they'll be more than happy to assist! 3) Fruit and veggie section is alright. Nothing special. Same deal with all Publix stores in that they have moldy strawberries and avocados that feel like jello. 4) Checkout lanes are NEVER crowded and always go by quickly. The cashiers are always friendly and attentive. 5) The prices are always decent. Yes, it costs more than Walmart (etc.), but they usually always have good deals (like buy one get one free), so it's worth it in some cases. read more

Publix is amazing matter where the location is, but I got a little nervous when we moved into the city near midtown because I expected the publix experience to decline. Always free parking available, very convenient. read more

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I am so happy to have Publix in the neighborhood! The store is clean, although I understand its new BUT it has a wide selection and the staff is quite helpful. I have yet to go into the Liquor store but so far I am very impressed with my new Publix! read more

Publix always hits the spot. This location in particular is one of the best Publix I have ever seen. Parking is always available (parking in Miami is always an issue but never in this location). The people working in this Publix are always smiling and willing to help you. Plus they have a liquor store on site. In addition, it is always good to see management stepping up to the plate when is needed. I have seen Managers in this location doing everything from pushing carts to bagging groceries. On and the Publix subs here are the best. read more

Love being able to walk to Publix from the Double Tree! I found the store to be neat, clean, and well stocked.

Everyone is so nice and helpful here. I hope it stays this way. I'm so happy that this store is walking distance. It's nice just to walk and get that one thing you've been craving...ice cream. The deli and sandwiches section is a powerhouse and everyone seems to know what they are doing. Very attentive! I was running errands today and needed my car. I got into my car after and strapped the baby in when I realized I forgot to turn in the movie I rented from the Blockbuster kiosk. I asked one of the clerks rounding up the shopping carts if he would help me out by turning the movie in. He said no problem. When I got home I saw that the movie had been returned via email. Now that is service! read more

Terrible experience at Publix today. I submitted an online order to be picked in 30 mins. When I get there 40 mins later, the order was not ready. Asked some one in the counter and they had no clue about my order. The printer with the online labels where standing there and no body took care of it. Finally a lady took care took of the order but it took her 25 MINs !! to do the order ( 2 subs) seriously. Nether less to say it not only her. This people take 10-15 to make one sub every time! It's not a hard job. The worst part of all, is that when I get home one of the orders was wrong Very disappointing... read more

I love publix but whoever is doing the hiring at this particular location needs to reevaluate what they want from their employees. Waited 15 mi it's to have two subs made in front of me at a really really slow pace. The workers here have no sense of urgency whatsoever read more

This review is for their deli section. The sandwich I ordered was delicious, filling and very affordable. So I rate my Publix experience solely based my Sandwich experience. These guys at this Publix are so amazingly slow. I wouldn't recommend getting a sandwich here unless you're willing to wait 20 minutes for the person behind the counter to make a sandwich which holds up the line for everyone. In the meantime, 5 people are behind the counter, only 1 person making sandwiches, poor guy/girl. read more

In my opinion this has to be the most inconvenient publix in Miami. Parking is a hassle , people asking for donations for sketchy charities on the sidewalk, and if a Lyft or Uber picks you up expect the cart to stop about a couple yards before you can get to the car and begin heading down the rails. Expect to do a lot of heavy lifting if that's the scenario because of the water cases or al lot of groceries. Also it's more expensive then most other Publix locations I recall That includes North Miami Beach, South Beach, Pinecrest , and Kendall. My least favorite Publix in Miami but overall it's still a good grocery chain in my opinion just not this location. read more
