Yelp Fam, We're back with another review this time in Miami, at the downtown CVS. If you've been following my other reviews, you may have noticed a pattern: I was in Miami for less than 24 hours, getting ready to board my cruise. And of course, I forgot that one essential item--toothpaste. Thankfully, there was a CVS nearby. It was literally a 5-minute walk (with walk signals) right to the store entrance. I really appreciated the layout and convenience of this location. You can actually see the cruise ships from the store, which made it even more ideal for travelers. I was able to grab all the essentials I needed, and the staff was helpful in pointing me to the right aisles. Checkout was seamless and quick. This location also carried a wide variety of items--especially travel-sized products--which is perfect if you're heading out on a cruise and realize you forgot a few things. I really liked this CVS, probably because it saved my life and had an extensive travel essentials aisle. Unlike the CVS locations I'm used to back home, this one had more options--likely because it's in a prime tourist area where people remember everything they forgot to pack at the last minute. I would definitely recommend this CVS location to visitors. read more

Not sure why the 4 & not 5. Perfect place to purchase items for a cruise. Alcohol is reasonably priced. A bottle of prosecco was actually cheaper than home. Self checkout available. Close to the Bayside trolly stop- just across the street read more

We visited this location while on vacation. And I must tell you, we were in a bind. Some medication had been misplaced, and the rest of our vacation was in jeopardy if we couldn't replace it. I am pleased to say that a quick trip to this location Fixed that error promptly. The store had everything we needed, including generic alternatives. The store had our back when we pretty desperately needed some help, so I'm very grateful to it. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. This is by far the worst experience I've ever had with a pharmacy. The male pharmacist here is unbelievably rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Patients come here desperate for their medications, and instead of receiving basic care and respect, we're treated like a nuisance. Unfortunately this is one of the only pharmacies in this area. DO BETTER CVS. Take this horrible man out of your establishment. We deserve better. I stood their for hours many times waiting for help while being completely ignored and not a single update, not even an acknowledgment that I was standing there. When I finally tried to ask a question, the pharmacist literally walked away instead of answering. It was humiliating, demeaning, and frankly dangerous to treat patients this way. Healthcare professionals are supposed to support patients, not make them feel invisible. This kind of behavior is unacceptable in a pharmacy setting where people's health and well-being depend on timely, accurate service. I strongly urge management and corporate to address this behavior immediately. No one should have to experience this kind of neglect when they're just trying to get their medications. read more

Dr Haris, in this pharmacy is by far the most unprofessional RUDE "Doctor" I've ever experienced in my whole entire life. I had an emergency visit with my primary doctor who called in my prescription at 7:02pm. I arrive to pick up my prescription at 7:48 (ran as fast as I could bc I don't drive) when they close at 8pm and Dr Haris has the nerve to blatantly ignore me with no one else on the Pharmacy line for four minutes as he's chatting away laughing on his phone so I finally get his attention and he comes to ask me my name and he proceeds to tell me that he doesn't have the script. It was never called in. Luckily, I had the piece of paper I had my doctor print at the time my prescription was called in to prove that it was sent over, because he has given me problems multiple times within the last few months of picking up prescriptions there, he then admitted to having the script sent over but had the nerve to tell me they close in six minutes he is not filling my script, I asked him nicely once again, and he told me that he feels unsafe filling the script by himself in the pharmacy. which is absolutely insane when he's always the only one behind the counter every time I go in. Being in the healthcare profession, I understand that it's extremely frustrating to fulfill needs after a long day, but you are still on the clock and you still have a job to do regardless of the circumstances. but instead, he claims he felt unsafe with a 5 foot 2 girl at his counter saying if I reported my interaction right now that he will say, he felt unsafe to fill my prescription and that's what he'll use to file a complaint against my complaint. read more

this is the worst possible cvs location. I live right next to this CVS, I walk from my home to their location, give them business all the time. I've tried to buy a bit of food and I have found mold all over, food that is also expire. there is a male manager who treats me and my partner like crap every single time we walk in. theres only one good person that works there, her name is Maria (god bless her kindness). but the rest are just miserable and the customer service is HORRIBLE. read more

Not sure what is going on but it seems the staff does not pay attention when re-stacking inventory. For every single item that you purchase in the store you have to look for the expiration date. I have found myself countless times with expired products and I realize when I am already at home. From coffee to protein bars, snacks, etc. And I am not talking about 1 month expired, I am talking about 6-10 months +. This case in particular (Coffee) is not about the product sitting there for months because I buy coffee there on a weekly basis and I notice that the inventory sells. Leaving this review with the hope that someone in the store sees it and they start paying attention to this. read more

This is the worst place imaginable. Service is absolutely miserable. Do not go to this location - try one of the other 12 in the vicinity. I bought same-day photo prints online and went to go pick them up the next day. The place was a mad house. I waited forever before I finally flagged one of the multiple people working there that weren't doing anything at all down to ask if they could help me. The first woman tried to ignore me at first, and then when I asked for her help a second time, she just said "nothing, no" without even looking at me when I asked if she could help me with the photo prints. Then I waited another 5 minutes in the checkout line to talk to the cashier. When I got to the register, I told the lady I was picking up photo prints and she looked at me and said "NO" before I could even finish my sentence. I looked and her and said "but I've already paid for them?" And she shrugged and said "broken" and dismissed me just like that. Everyone working here must've attended the same School of Worst Customer Sevice on the Planet. read more

This is by far the WORST CVS. Its a shame as i literally live around the corner. Machines never work, they are always short staffed. Is dirty very disorganized. Do yourself a favor and keep walking 2 or 3 blocks to Walgreens near by or even to the other CVS 4 blocks away. read more

Decent pricing for things that you sometimes forget to bring with you on vacation. Pretty big store with a ton of selections. Not really much to review here for a CVS but this seems to be a good place for a quick stop and errand. The staff seem alright here. I haven't had any bad experiences or anything so this is just my perspective. read more

I hated this CVS! They try and push you to use the self service lines because there to freaking lazy to ring you up! Every one doesn't like the freaking self service line! Get your lazy butt over here and help customers that don't want to use them! Not only did this happen one time it happened every time we went in the store! read more

The employees are super super slow especially pharmacy . Store is disorganized with products messy on shelves. Cashiers are very very rude . Don't advise using this specific cvs to anyone read more

I came in here during ultra and had to wait outside till some people left. Yes. During ultra, there is a Bouncer for this store. Yes, not kidding! I wish I took a photo of it. It was nuts. Haha. I had to get a memory card and ironically I bought one that was labeled Ultra. Lots of people were packed in there trying to buy water before going to the festival. read more

Can't beat the location - we were staying at the b2 Miami nextdoor. Prices aren't outrageous like you would have expected in Miami. Hours are great, they are open late!! There's some self service lines which are nice to use when you want to get in and out but most of the people using them have no idea what to do. I much prefer someone to check me out - less trouble and less nonsense. Good selection of sundries and the usual, even beer and wine. This is definitely a tourist CVS, and parking nearby is difficult, unless you park under the metro (think that's what it's called) read more

Terrible customer service! The pharmacist made me feel like I was wasting her time! My dr called in my prescription and left a voicemail which hadn't been retrieved. So I had to wait around for 30 minutes for it to be filled while she sat behind her desk taking calls. I was not a priority at all!!! The assistant in the pharmacy who finally checked me out was wonderful! Pity I can't give him his own rating. He would get a five star. read more

Worst customer disservice ever. Similar to others who have noted the tendency of employees toward laziness and apathy, when I went to check out with several items, I was the only person in line. Ashley (according to her name tag) was sweeping behind the register. I waited for a moment and asked if she would check me out. She ignored me. Another employee told me to use the self checkout. I have never had good experiences with those. When I talked to a manager, Justanya, she was on her way out and displayed the same apathetic attitude as those she manages. Hey! At least they're consistent! As burning world issues go, this is not a biggie. But I will definitely shop at a place that has nice people who will either help me or explain if there's a problem. I have never met a more compassionate, effective, helpful and professional pharmacy representative than Carolina. She helped me transfer a prescription and when I arrived I learned that she had taken the time to look for a discount coupon and placed it in my account. It saved me tons on the medication cost. We had a crisis with medication for my son, and she could not have been more helpful to us. Keep up the awesome work Carolina! read more

Conveniently located, open 24 hours (except the pharmacy) but prefer Walgreens or even Wal-mart for my medications - cheaper generics available. The staff is friendly, store is pet friendly! This location is decently sized and carries the essentials. And with CVS rewards I enjoy being surprised with some useful rolls of coupons or discounts. Aside from locals, tourists from near-by hotels will find this to be at a walking distance for all their last minute needs. read more

My doctor tried to send a prescription electronically to this CVS pharmacy. When he could not, he sent the prescription by mail. I started checking in to ask if this prescription had been received five days later. The pharmacists told me they had no record of it. I checked with the doctor and was assured it had been mailed and must be in the store. After three more days I checked with CVS customer service. They looked into it and the store told them they did not accept prescriptions by mail. The store had NEVER told me this and my doctor assured me he has done this easily many times in the past. Now I am about to leave town and will not have been able to get my medicine. Lousy service. Will not be using CVS again, although I have spent hundreds of dollars there every month for many years. read more

Worst experience ever with the pharmacy. Stay away! Go to to Walgreens! We arrived to pick up a prescription and we were 5 minutes after the pharmacy closed due to traffic. The pharmacist knew we were from out of town and we forgot a prescription and would not fill it for us!!! She didn't even ask what it was for!!! She couldn't even give us another CVS location!!! I would've given this location zero stars, but it's not possible. 1 star is the lowest rating. read more

I really don't care for this CVS because it really doesn't cater to locals and rather functions as a quick stop for tourists staying in downtown. The place is chaotic, understaffed, and is overpriced. And good luck parking nearby for a reasonable price -- if you can even find a space. read more

HARVEY HURRICANE: THE PHARMACY PEOPLE AUGUST 29 WERE AMAZING. About 50+ people from a Royal Caribbean cruise ship that has been diverted from Galveston to Miami because of the biblical floods and tornadoes and hurricane that tore through Houston called HARVEY. We were on a 7 day cruise that has turned into 14+. Many many of us needed medicine and toiletries BC we have been onboard for much longer than expected and have along trip ahead and will have to traverse the Houston roads. These people were patient and got us all taken care of. read more

The actual address is 150 S.E. Third. CVS has this lovely (NOT) trend of having you self check-out - I guess to save on their already lazy staff of employees - because shopping before, during or after work in a harrassed overcrowded environment isn't enough work - check your own self out dammit! Usually I don't mind, but today one of the 3 self-checkout lanes was broken and three employees were actually chatting at the register. I asked, politely, could a register be opened for me to check out with my item. One employee yawned and said she was off the clock and walked away. The other two just stared like I asked them to take off their clothes or something. I asked again and one pointed to the already CROWDED self-checkout line and said "get in line" and actually smirked - yeah I'm the lazy f**k here, right... I just think that is pretty poor customer service; besides in downtown Miami near "quittin' time" it's just about the start of rush hour, employees are grabbing essentials and a passel of tourists appear to be buying their sundries as well as food items they forgot or were unable to pack. To enable a better welcoming atmosphere to your store and Miami as a whole you can't keep an open register manned? Oh wait - that would involve thoughtful consideration and customer service and this being Miami - that wouldn't be on the agenda. . . read more

This location is ok. No parking, so it's only convenient if you live in or are visiting the nearby areas (i.e. bayside.) Staff is just ok too, I wouldnt say they'd go out of their way to help you, but there are always people available if you need to speak to someone. Stock on products is usually good, and they sell Miami memorabilia if you're looking for it (tourists) read more

This CVS is crazy-you could probably by a goat here in the back of the store if you wished. This place sells everything and I mean EVERYTHING. From sunscreens and flipflops to hard liquor to electronic equipment. The downside is it is ALWAYS crowded with loud, drunk/drugged tourists and the lines are huge and no one in the store knows where anything else it is. In my opinion, the staff is slow (you know the manana Miami attitude) but I can bring my dog in here and that is a definite plus. read more

Waiting 25mins to get sudafed from the pharmacy. No one knows why there is only one person working at the pharmacy. Will avoid this place for medicine like the plague. At least they have automated machines for normal purchases read more

Best cvs in downtown the self checkouts are great, new food isles and best prices on smokes!!! Pharmacy is a dream and quick!!!

Friendly staff & always clean which can be difficult in a city store. Sometimes waiting for help in an aisle can take a long time even when store is not busy, but everything else is great there. read more

The pharmacist could sense that I was in a hurry, and she offered to fill my prescription immediately without me asking (most pharmacists love to watch you in pain). Also, they let me, in fact encourage me, to bring my dog in. Love me some CVS. read more
