I visited this pharmacy looking for lodine for topical/skin use. When I asked for Iodine, the staff told me it was "a Latin product," which is simply not true. Iodine (povidone-iodine/Betadine) is a standard, internationally used antiseptic. The issue wasn't just that they didn't carry it, but that they dismissed it with incorrect information. For a pharmacy, lack of basic product knowledge is a serious concern. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this place based on this experience. read more

The pharmacy is closed at 1:30 pm - 2pm. They refused two customers at 1:28pm, so get there earlier or be prepared to wait 30 minutes! Despite three cashiers working this mid day shift it was not so organized and lines were forming. I still think this location could do better with investment and training. read more

The pharmacist worked very hard to help get an override from the insurance company, which it would not provide. He then helped get us a discount instead or paying full price for the prescription. I felt he went above and beyond to help us. He even apologized to us that we had to wait 15 minutes to get the prescription, which was totally unnecessary. I went to this Walgreens specifically looking for Valentines Day presents like chocolates or plushies and the selection was fantastic. Lots of merchandise and everything was nice and neat. It's unbelievable how you're treated by this pharmacist. He seems to just be miserable in life. It's quite discounting. I can imagine he gets all sorts of wack jobs in here scamming to get pain meds. But after being in a pain management program for 2 years, he would only fill my prescription on the 31st day. So I would be one day without my medication. Keep in mind, this is the only Walgreens I've ever filled my pain medicine prescription at. Living here for 2+ years. You would think they would be compassionate. I've had numerous spinal procedures and hip surgeries from severe injuries. Walgreens uses a new system when you send in a medication. It tells you if they have it in stock and when it will be ready. When my doctor sends my prescription, the pharmacist cancels the order through the Walgreens app EVERY month. When I call and ask why, he says he doesn't have it in stock. However the one time I sent it to a different pharmacy, it said out of stock and not "order cancelled by pharmacist!" When I call he tells me my medicine won't be ready for 2-3 more days. Then when I FINALLY pick it up, there's a lecture attached to it. About how I shouldn't be taking these pills. I appreciate his concern but as someone who's been through what im going through, it's not your place sir. Finally I have been able to start lowering the dose. I couldn't take this much longer. You're better off driving to Aventura to fill any controlled substances. read more

Absolute worst pharmacy. They call me to pick up my prescription so I go an hour after they call and they go oh sorry we accidentally shipped it to your address. It was not my address. It was my birth control pills that i still haven't received and is being sent to the WRONG address. Absolute mess do not use this place as your pharmacy. read more

Worst managed pharmacy I ever went to . Absolute amateurs . They called me for a prescription that my doctor ordered for me as READY. I love and hate this Walgreens. First off, it's the one closest to me so it's convenient. Pharmacy closes early (like 7pm) which really sucks. Second, I place a lot of orders online to pick up and I always have to wait about 10 minutes to get someone at the photo area to get my stuff. The last time the lady was outside smoking and talking to someone for like 10 minutes while I waited! Luckily, the staff is super sweet and I could never tell them off. Arghhh! This Walgreens is clean, bright, and open 24 hours. There's the occasional homeless/sketchy person outside asking for money, but we all know you can't feed them or else they come back like pigeons. There's never a line at the pharmacy when I go. Okay, maybe 1 person, but heck yeah for being helped right away. The pharmacy people are nice. The store has everything you expect a Walgreens to have. Sometimes they have pretty good prices on food items compared to grocery stores, such as $2.50 for a gallon of milk or a buck and change for a dozen eggs (why are eggs so expensive in Miami?). And who doesn't love it when the candy goes on sale after the holidays? Day after Halloween/Christmas/Valentine's, I'm there. Lucky for me I live so close I can go back and check when the sales are 50% off, 75%, and jackpot if more than that. I stocked up on so much post-Easter candy I think I'll have enough til next Easter. I'm a sucker for Cadbury eggs. The cashiers and lines are hit or miss. Sometimes quick and efficient, sometimes you can read a novel while in line. I recommend signing up for the Walgreens Balance rewards card and downloading the app. You can earn point for purchases, exercising, eating healthy, etc. and with those points (1000 pts=$1) you can use them to buy anything at the store. So far I've massed over 12000 points from the app and that can get me $12 worth of candy. Free candy, say what? read more

My review is based on my experience that I had with the pharmacy.... I decided to transfer my script to this pharmacy since it's close-by. Unfortunately, I did not have my insurance card on me and the pharmacist was nice enough to call where I was transferring my script from to get the information. While he worked on running my insurance I discovered he's hilarious lol. So he tells me they don't carry my particular birth control pill that I was formerly using but recommended another, and here's how the rest went down.... Me: "Is there any difference I should be aware of?" Him: "Well... Everyone who has been on it comes back pregnant." Me: Lolol Him: "Okay, you're all set! It will be ready on Monday." (I'm supposed to pick it up that same day.) Me: "But I'll be pregnant for sure by then!" Him: "That a girl!" Never thought picking up my anti-baby pill could be this much fun. To top it all off he was kind enough to order my pills three months in advance. Dr. Bahman is my hero, and an awesome pharmacist indeed. Pharmacy is open from 8 am - 6 pm during the week. worst Walgreens on the planet, it's in the middle of downtown so you would imagine the traffic this store gets all day with all the office buildings around, so you would think the employees would know how to be prepared, think again, it's a disgrace, there's only one open cashier and the lines are about 20 customers. All the other employees are just hiding or holding their dicks on their hands looking at this one cashier try with no brain to charge people. Even the manager stands behind her at the register without doing nothing about the 20 customers waiting in line. I had to leave several times and leave the products behind because of the time they take to charge you. today one cashier and 3! employees next to her staring to the wall while we waited to pay. I'm not a huge fan of this Walgreens, but for convenience alone during the work-week, this place wins out. The shelves are never quite stocked with exactly what you're looking for, and the lines to check out are always a lot longer than they appear. They do always have a great selection of candies/chocolates/gifts for whatever holiday is coming up. The staff is usually very friendly, and if you need assistance, they'll point you in the right direction. My preferred drugstore/pharmacy is the CVS a couple blocks south. But in a pinch, this Walgreens works. read more

I love how this location is right next to the One Biscayne Tower, where I work. It's open 24 hours a day, and it is your go-to for last minute needs! All their employees are friendly and knowledgeable about where to find what you are looking for. Sometimes it gets extremely packed and you can take forever to get out of there. If you're in a hurry, do not go during lunchtime!! The pharmacists are awesome. They always have a smile on their face and are ready to help and recommend. Notable things this Walgreens has: ice, 24 packs of water, wine, surprisingly decent selection of beers, fresh pre-packaged fruits, Krispy Kreme Donuts, and sandwiches. Obviously, they have all other items sold at a Walgreens as well! I'm not going to lie, though.... it's pretty overpriced!! That's the reason I would not recommend coming here for ALL your basic every day needs. For example, the Zephyrhills water 3L jug is $2.19 here, and in the Walmart behind my house in Hialeah Gardens, it's .99¢. But, hey, it's all about location, right? read more

They always forget to fill my prescription unless I give them a call several days later and when I do their typical answer is that the prescription is on "order" they are out of stock and they make na wait another 2 days to fill my prescription. Worst experience EVER!!!! I Requested a refill of my regular prescription and I received the wrong one not realizing till I began feeling the ill effects of it. I immediately took the pills back and explained what had happened, not a single apology, instead all I heard was "it wasn't me". You work for a company you represent it you are the face of it man up and apologize when someone makes a mistake. I called the general manager the next day...again no apology...ridiculous. For tourists wandering in from Bayfront Park who need cheap sunglasses, I'm sure this Walgreens gets the job done. If you actually live in downtown Miami, you're pretty much SOL when it comes to the pharmacy. The fact that it's open from 8-6 on weekdays, closes at 2pm on Saturdays and is closed on Sundays is enough, in my opinion, to warrant 1 star. Especially since the other Walgreens down the street has the same weekday hours but is closed both Saturday and Sunday. If you work (!) during business hours, that leaves a very small window of opportunity. Of course, it's also a problem when the pharmacist you speak with says she'll transfer and fill your prescription the next day, but then . . . doesn't. And you call to find out why, and the new pharmacist gets it done just in time for the pharmacy to close at 2pm. I'm new in the neighborhood and now I know I have to use CVS. read more

I am truly disappointed with Walgreens at 1SE 3rd Ave Miami. I was in town for business for an extended period of time and had my doctor call my perception in for me. I recieved an automated call saying it was ready for pick up. Then 4 hours later recieved another call saying they would not refill the perception because they needed doctor verification. (Keep in mind my doctor called it in for me). I received no return call like I was told I would. After not being able to wait any longer I went to the store to see what was going on. The pharmisist told me it had been returned to the shelf because no one came to pick it up. How was I suppose to know it got refilled?!? Then it was apparently my fault. Trying to find out if my prescription has been filled. Waited, on hold for 18 minutes with the message playing every 20 seconds that all employees were 'busy helping others'. There aren't that many customers in that area. Most people use Walmart (I will now). Anyway I had an electronic prescription transferred there that was sitting at the wrong pharmacy for 1 week. Walgreens says they can't transfer electronic prescriptions. The other drugstore's pharmacist says yes you can. It has been one excuse after another....Yet they can call my deceased Mother 3 times a week about refilling her prescriptions.What about the word DEAD don't your employees understand? The Walgreens is horrible, if you use manufacture coupon the catalina or register rewards oferred for that item will not print, if you pay with registered rewards from 1 item and purchasing another register rewards will not print, manager claims it is not their fault that it does not print, what is funny everything works fine in every single walgreens in Miami, but not this one. I contacted corporate offfice they told me to go back and ask them to print register rewards, but i just see it as a waist of time, will not be back to that walgreens. read more
