I am almost confused while walking around this pharmacy....am I at a pharmacy or really at Nordstrom? It can get confusing because this Pharmacy sells a lot of the same brands that Nordstrom does. They have a large variety of vitamins. There are no off brands or less than stellar quality brands here. They sell so many appealing things here I could go on a shopping spree! I really appreciate the care the staff gives and they're happy to answer any questions you might have. They offer good advice and are truly helpful I definitely recommend this pharmacy over any other one you can think of. We have been a customer for over 10 years! Purchasing expensive and numerous medicine through my husbands cancer treatment, as well as mine and my son's. Not only that , but we have always advertised them as we believe in supporting small businesses. Today i needed help as I am traveling overseas and forgot to get the refill prescription for my birth control pills, the owner , himself picked up the phone and tole me , he could only sell me one pill package for $1000 dollars, and there is nothing else he could do for me , so I started saying that he was not helping me , so HE HANGS UP THE PHONE on my face !!!! I could not believe it !!!! So rude and unnecessary. Thank God there are other people in town that actually care for humans and for business as well. Can't believe I haven't reviewed this place.... Switched from CVS about 4 years ago due to lack of common sense on their part. Not to mention no one seems to speak English at cvs's across Miami. Switched to coconut grove pharmacy and couldn't be happier. I Feel like family every time I go in. They always remember me and always keep the items I want in stock. Dr.Brandts lip care line is my fav. I also Always pick up a candle when I'm there - all the scents are fabulous! I love this place and will never go elsewhere. Today: 10/22/19 (IF YOU OWN A SENIOR DOG READ THIS) I was picking up my meds about 2 weeks ago after spending all morning miserable at the veterinarian (my dog was diagnosed with arthritis). Another customer mentioned trying CBD oil for my dog. Luckily, the pharmacist heard us and recommended Leafywell liquid CBD oil they sell in store. I'm not kidding when I say that my 100lb bulldog is jumping around like a puppy again. He's not in pain. I give him 6 drops in his food everyday and it's like a miracle. His legs aren't sore, his limp is gone, and his appetite is back!! I'm thinking of trying it for myself to see what happens to me after 10days lol. I was in dire need of medication which I was able to access at Blink; I noticed that a very nearby pharmacy showed up as a participating location. The older woman behind the counter was rude, short, and unnecessarily brief denying knowledge of Blink. When I spoke to Blink Health, they had mentioned that this pharmacy was indeed participating in their network. It was really upsetting to have to go through this process and the lady ought to be nicer to people who have medical needs. read more

When bringing in my prescription to fill, the check out lady (who shockingly I think is also the owner) was over the top RUDE. I am literally shocked. She pushed the prescription back at me, aggressively telling me that my Dr did something wrong, they wouldn't fill it, and offered me no help. I explained to her I just got out of surgery, was feeling so weak, and could she please help me and call my doctor. She condescending refused, acting like I had done something wrong... and then she just started helping the next customer in line!! (meanwhile there were about 4 other customers watching all of this - I know they were feeling bad for me too) I felt completely humiliated. I went outside literally in tears. (Again, I just got out of surgery) .. I called my doctor back and they told me to put the pharmacist on the phone. After the phone call with my dr the pharmacist said my medication would be ready in 10 mins..... I recently picked up prescriptions at Coconut Grove Pharmacy. One was on April 14th, the other on the following day. Both days, the service was topnotch; the staff super-attentive; and most importantly, my prescriptions were filled accurately. No issues with my co-payment whatsoever. I signed electronically for everything, not only the credit card transactions but also to indicate that HIPAA was explained to me and that the pharmacist had offered a consultation on each medication I picked up. The unexpected icing on the cake was when I heard the music playing overhead--not your usual tired and put-you-to-sleep Muzak but contemporary hits by today's popular artists. This is the pharmacy where one comes and wants to stay and hang out. A wide variety of organic creams and lotions is available, not only for adults but also for children and infants. I left the pharmacy with no fewer than six sample-size body lotions and creams which were offered and explained to me by one of the owners of the pharmacy herself. I also left there with a smile on my face and with the conviction that I would soon return. I cannot end this review without mentioning that when you call Coconut Grove Pharmacy, a pharmacist answers the phone promptly and not a recording which usually offers you ten options which lead into ten sub-options, and, should you be lucky enough to find the option to speak to a human being, you are then told that there are "three callers ahead of you" and you inevitably end up waiting ten or more minutes to speak to a human being. read more

The pharmacy is as close to a community store as you'll find in a big city, the cards, candles, lotions, soaps, etc. are all exquisitely picked, and the staff is both knowledgeable and friendly. I recommend AVOIDING this pharmacy (as a customer for 4 years, the way they treated me during my last visit was absolutely uncalled for. They will never get my business again). I am shocked at their reckless actions and utter negligence. I was told that I am a "DEA risk" and treated as if I was a criminal. Yet, no concerns whatsoever had been raised in the past. There was no legal basis for their refusal to fill my usual prescriptions. They insinuated that I do not have legitimate prescriptions, and refused to fill my doctor's usual prescriptions. - They willfully and negligently placed my health in jeopardy by denying refills which they knew I had run out of. These medications cause serious problems when stopping suddenly, and any competent pharmacist would know that. They explicitly violated required standards of practice. No attempt was made to ask me any questions, contact my doctor, or even explain the "concern" to me in any clear detail. I am astonished a pharmacy would deny filling usual medications out of the blue, with no probing whatsoever, other than simply accusing me of being a "DEA risk". Their conduct was beyond rude, belittling, and did not conform with Florida's pharmaceutical laws - designed, in part, to protect against unjust refusals such as this. They have given me other people's scripts, wrong medications, wrong pill counts etc. but I let it go. They know my background, profession, and my 4+ years of being a loyal customer - Which amazes me further that they would act with such malice, and not expect consequences to follow. Horrible service! I had to call and call and call again and again to try to confirm receipt of my prescription. Then, they gave my doctor's office wrong information. They promised the drugs would be ready in the morning only to arrive and find out they hadn't even started on my prescription. To top it off, they never submitted it to my insurance, so now I'm stuck with the hassle of filling out a complicated form of ingredients, codes, prices and quantities--all to wait 45 days to get reimbursed. I have to say that this was the last straw for me. My wife has already moved her scripts because of the fact she was shorting pills on one of her scripts and several times when we were told mine would be ready and "we need another hour", as if we have things to do around their schedule. I have been getting a script compounded for the last 4 years (monthly) and pay out of pocket rather than use my insurance for the product in place of what insurance wanted me to use. I called two weeks back and was told by the first young man that "the pharmacist was on vacation until the 14th and I'd have to wait" (over two weeks)...imagine that! Then I was told I could find another pharmacy and transfer my script! It took several calls and a visit to basically force them to find me a solution and then even that was another set of issues. They did manage to transfer the script and guess what? After all that, the new pharmacy has been the one making my script all along and sending it to this one (hence the reason for the "need another hour parts" for delivery) and they delivered it to my home and all this for half of what I was paying CGP. Lack of customer service and poor management has now gotten them a poor review and the loss of $1,000's of dollars annually from just this one script. read more

I really liked this place because they carry some high end and niche brands that you can't find at Walgreens or CVS, or even at Nordstrom! I was searching online for a store that sold Leonor Greyl products in Miami, and out of a myriad of high end hair salons, I was surprised to see a pharmacy on the list. Out of curiosity I decided to check it out, and I'm so happy I did! I picked up the hair oil and detangling spray I came in for, but I also saw they had a nice selection of some natural skincare products. I asked about the return policy for a Jurlique face cream (since I often get allergic reactions even to organic creams), but because they don't accept returns of opened products, the sales associate offered me a sample. I ended up leaving with several samples of different creams and a face wash, and I plan to come back here to purchase more products if they work for my skin. Although a bit small, this place is more of a luxe apothecary than plain pharmacy.
