I love that this store is a block away from me. I feel like I was waiting forever for it to open. I like the idea of walking to the grocery, so much easier than driving and having to lug it all upstairs or pay the valet guys to help. But then my lazy side kicks in, and also realizes that walking = buying less = going more frequently. Great for my waistline I guess, probably not great for my wallet, definitely not great for my non enthusiastic inner fat midwestern girl. The store is MASSIVE. Like almost too big. And they seem to have tried to stock every single item ever possible to buy under the sun. But then, when I went to shop, they were already out of several of my 'regularly purchased' items - so I guess it might take them awhile to get their inventory/demand/supply business in order. The night we went, our cashiers were young teens who were too busy flirting to properly bag our items, but maybe the daytime staff is friendlier? I think I'm just attached to Publix on the Bay and Whole Foods. I don't really have hours of my day to spend adventuring new aisles, I just need to know where everything is, know it will be in stock, and know I can get home at a reasonable time after work. We'll see. I hope more retail stores open up around it. So far just GNC and Wells Fargo. read more

This publix is uber convenient for me as I live just across the street. This truly is a one-stop shop as they are constantly stocked with all your food and grocery needs. They also have a pharmacy and liquor store onsite as well. Their multi-level parking garage is very nice when I need to pick up something on the way home from work. This location is probably one of the busiest in the area, but the managers keep the store well staffed. My only complaint is the amount of homeless/transients that loiter outside asking for money, but the Miami PD are constantly onsite so that people are safe. read more

Called customer service asking if they have dry ice they told me yes and that they have in stock, 10 mins later I show up and there is no dry ice. Its the smallest things that make a difference. A good customer service rep would of double checked and not be lazy and not check. She could of walked there to see for me. But decided not to. And the worst is that she even said that dry ice sells fast. There is no way that in 10 minutes between my call with her and the point i got to the store the dry ice sold out. Ruined my day small these like this has a big effect on people and the dry ice is for a wedding. You could of ruined a couple first dance because of your laziness. read more

This is simply THE Publix to go to in the Midtown/Downtown/Brickell area. It rivals any suburban Publix out there. And the best Publix I've seen in Miami-Dade. Online deli ordering and pick-up, a huge bakery with wafting smells calling your name as soon as you walk in, a kickin prepared foods section, fresh produce (a bit pricey, but oh so fresh) and a meat section that goes on for days. I was looking for a large bag of grits (pretty much impossible to find in Miami-Dade) instead of small instant packets, and the manager actually said that he would add it to his ordering list. And guess what -- he did! I did feel a bit guilty since i may be the only person buying grits in such large quantity, but it was a super nice gesture none-the less. The selection here is where it's at. And yes it's Publix, so some things can be a bit pricey, but you can guarantee that if you are going for something specific, they'll have it. During Thanksgiving they didn't even run out of items. The parking was a bit insane, but my advice for folks on busy grocery store days, just go straight up to the top level, don' t tool around driving in circles on the first floor. I never thought I could love a grocery store. This place is ALWAYS extremely clean, the food is consistently fresh and the isles are cleverly organized. They have a organic produce section that rivals anything you would get from whole foods or trader Joes for a fraction of the cost. The staff is always helpful and ready to answer any questions you may have. They even have these really cool escalators designed just for shopping carts. Over all this is my favorite place to go grocery shopping in Miami. read more

Dogs are always present. Management does not seem to care. I've witnessed numerous customers complain to staff about the dogs but to no avail. I spend my summers in South America and when I mention to employees in the supermarkets there that dogs are allowed at this Publix they are absolutely incredulous. As an annual visitor to Miami, a Publix is different than my usual grocery store. Needed to pick up a few forgotten items and walked about 2 blocks from the hotel. The scenery on our walk was a bit unnerving: homeless people, constant police patrolling, and general visions of criminal activity. The store seemed clean, but very busy with tourists and locals and prices were reasonable. I don't know that I would order prepared food from this place based upon my opinion of the appearance and my fear of possible gastric distress later. Employees/workers don't seem to care about customers based upon my interactions. I suggest sticking to brands you know. One highlight: they sell booze! Who knew? read more

Publix has everything you might need at home. This location offers a parking garage for convenience. When we visited, we were able to find what we needed. The store was clean and well organized. Items throughout the store were easy to find and aisles were well marked. The checkout process was quick and staff was friendly. read more

Let's just say the 2 stars are for location. I live close by. I have worked in customer service for years so I know what to expect. The staff in the customer service department can use some grooming. The ice cream was put back in the freezer after it has melted by other inconsiderate shoppers. I found a weird plastic string in my potato salad. And you never have two of the major products I go for. I would think based on location you would be more upscale with how things are taken care of. I expect much more. My favorite Publix is North Miami, Miami Shores and Dadeland South. By far the best ones I been to. read more

Marsha, the old white woman at the checkout counter this morning told my girlfriend to place her mask fully above her nose-- when my friend's mask was already ON her nose. She said it was THE LAW-- even though the mask mandate is an order. She also told my friend that she could 'infect' people with her mask being slightly lower than Marsha wanted it to be, all while literally touching all of my friends grocery items and trying to hand my friend a receipt when my friend specifically ASKED NOT TO BE HANDED A RECEIPT at all. She then called my friend RUDE when my friend pointed out that a mandate is not a law. This woman was abrasive and harrassed my friend and I believe it was because she was dressed in workout attire and Marsha seemed to have a problem with it. First thing you'll notice at this Publix is their horrible customer service. You'll find about a hundred employees at the deli looking busy but really not doing anything and will take forever to help you. Walking towards the check out counter you'll also have to save yourself and your cart from employees cruising down the aisles 100 MPH with no spatial awareness occasionally bumping into your cart unapologetically. When you finally reach the counter you'll probably have to deal with an abuela complaining about life possibly muttering No Puedo. Do yourself a favor. Drive a mile down south and go to Whole Foods. read more

I love this Publix. Not every employee is the go getter type but I find the majority are. My favorite are the folks at the bakery and the old bagging gentleman. The majority are professional and do their jobs with pride. I'm a regular so I treat the employees with respect and in return I'm always respected. It works well that way. read more

This a good publix not the one best one but solid. They have a good veggie section, fresh meats, however most of the store is dedicated to pre packaged food. The bakery is a joke should be twice the size same with the deli. Its clean, its new, and the parking is sooo easy an attached garage and yes it has a liquor store. The prices are always fair they always have BOGOs on tons of products. I love this Publix! It is crazy how different it is than the Publix at 48th and Biscayne, which is pretty ghetto and terrified to go alone to. This Publix is brand new, clean, well organized and I absolutely love it! I walk there all the time with my little environmentally friendly Publix shopping bag. They have a cute little cheese station, a big bakery, a nice cafe where you can pick up an empanada and a cuban coffee, liquor store, buffet, and unlike most other Publix, the employees are actually helpful and knowledgeable. It's like, fun there. Because its in the Midtown area, I always feel like I am at Bardot on a Saturday night and not just at the market trying to buy broccoli- everyone who shops here is so damn good looking!!
