I took a red eye into Miami and I normally don't eat much prior to flying only a snack to keep me going. Upon arriving I was pretty hungry when i got to the hotel. I opted out on the hotel buffet as I was in the mood for something simple and easy. I walked to publix and I grabbed an eggwich- turkey sausage, cheddar cheese in between 2 eggs patties, 2 smart waters, apple, and oatmeal cookie. I enjoyed my breakfast in my room. The eggwich hit the spot and was filling actually caused me to take a nap! The organic Fuji apple I had later as snack was very tasty and fresh. i'd recommend the grocery store for small or large hauls and the employees are friendly and ready to assist with any questions you may have. Errors at the deli, unorganized shelves, unclean floors and restrooms, and numerous pets on every single visit (despite the signs at entrances saying NO). It's great having a Publix conveniently located in the heart of the city that's accessible by foot or metro. That being said, this Publix is a little hit-or-miss on both service and quality - not very consistent. Some store workers are lovely and always happy to help you reach something or find something. I particularly always appreciate the staff at the bakery. One time I accidentally spilled an ice coffee I was drinking and a worker immediately rushed out from behind the bakery counter with paper towels to help me! I wasn't even sure anyone noticed! Others unfortunately pretend not to hear you or understand you. In the worst instance, my elderly mother needed help reaching something in the frozen section and asked two different people for help, both of which would barely give her the time of day. Also, there always seems to be missing bogo signs for things, which makes me wonder if the team is thoroughly updating the signs. Quality-wise, the produce is always a bit questionable. On more than one occasion, I've bought fruit or veggies that I find mold on day-of purchase or day after. Lastly, prices definitely seem higher on some things versus other locations not too far away. One day, we went to the Publix in River Landing and here on the same day and noticed the same bag of apples was priced $1-2 higher at this Brickell location. I understand this is likely in an area where real estate is a higher cost, but inflating the cost of necessary goods seems concerning, especially within the same regional market between locations in such close proximity. On a positive note, it's always a pleasant surprise when they have samples available and they're always in a generous portion. One time on a Friday evening, i had the most amazing hot honey ham croissant sample. So if this kind of thing happens more often, maybe I can overlook all the other issues! read more

Deli: the ladies at the deli are amazing! They were so kind and sliced up 6 slices of meat for me. No problem, whatever you want. Even gave me. Sample to try before I bought a cut that I have never tried. Highly recommend. Bakery: oh the bread smells amazing. As I got close, it hits you hard and you want a bit of everything. Prices: I don't live in Miami or Florida, so not sure if the prices are fair but for a girl from Texas, the prices are higher than grocery store in Texas but the quality of the ingredients here are all high quality so I don't mind paying higher prices. I was in the area and I decided to check out this urban Publix in the Brickell area of Miami. From the outside, it's a beautiful building with white facade and clean lines. Inside, it felt a bit smaller than other Publix stores I have been to, but this is an urban setting, so real estate is pricier and I understand they need to optimize the sales per square foot. I went to check their vitamins and supplements area and they had a good selection of them. This store has been a staple in my hometown since I was knee high to a duck and to think the reviews are not so good :( I tell ya what, I will always give Publix five stars because I have never had a bad experience shopping here as a resident and as a visitor. They are on the pricier side but the quality and service to me is unmatched. When I'm in Miami, I go to their deli and get the papa rellenas, chicken croquets, guava and cheese pastries and mojo pork with black beans and rice. I love me some Cuban food, especially from Pollo Tropical. They also make a pretty mean Cuban sandwich but I have to get my authentic Cuban sandwich in Little Havana. I love their deli, along with tons of other people because it's always crowded. The 20 piece fried chicken wingettes and drummettes are the bomb....AND because having these takes a 3 hour drive, I can't enjoy them often, which is good. But when I do, I slap hot sauce on them, enclose them in some sweet Hawaiian rolls, smush it together real tight and baby, I swear I'm in chicken heaven. It's just something about chicken wrapped up in some sweet bread for me. I'm not much of a bread eater either but I will indulge sometimes....oh and their subs are also good lol. Shucks, everything is good in the deli. Don't judge me lol! Anyway, Publix has amazing deals, you just need to know when to catch them. There are a lot of good BOGO's in their weekly sale's paper too! So, I bragged about their deli but the bakery, oh that bakery, smh...it is just as good, if not better than the deli, especially for the sweet lovers. Now, I'll be honest, I don't eat a lot of sweets either lol (seriously) but every now and then, I'd crave for a slice of something sweet. So, I'm not sure why Publix hasn't crossed the border here in Weesiana but I have driven to Alabama on a few occasions to shop because they live up to their slogan, "Where shopping is a pleasure!" I've been around this area for a very long time and I honestly never knew that this Publix was in this location. It is located basically in a bit of a narrow garage. I will mention that to get into the garage if you drive a bigger SUV or a truck it is going to be a little bit tight because the entrance to the garage is extremely narrow. Now once you get into the garage there's more room for you to get around and once you exit there is more room but getting into the garage it's very narrow and sharp just a heads up. But this Publix is just here typical Publix with great service, great lighting, and a great selection of foods that you would need for your typical grocery trip. I stopped by quickly to pick up some gum and a beverage before heading to another location. I do want to mention that this specific Publix offers two hours of parking validation. I believe the system is a little different than your typical parking validation as you need to call a number and register your car to their system as well as a credit card and then once you are exiting the garage it will automatically charge your card based on the amount of time that you spent in the garage when you set up your account so it is a little bit tricky if you're not super familiar with it, but luckily, I had a friend with me who was familiar with the system and was able to assist me. read more

The deli is TRASH! With nobody else in line or at the deli counter, 4 employees were there, 2 cleaning, 1 playing on her phone and the other folding boxes. In five minutes, not a single person asked if i'd been helped or even made eye contact. This after going last week and could not get a sub ordered because the person waiting on me did not speak english and none of her co-workers would even notice to help. The girl at the deli department should be working in some are with no contact with customers. Her name is LEAH and should be awarded the worst employee of the month...every month of the year...bad attitude, bad manners, very unprofessional and she doesn't realizes she has job bcd the S/M has paying customers. The worst part I reported to Publix the same girl 3 times and nobody at least tried to re-trained her. I think the store manager should be retrained as well. There is a world of difference shopping at Public vs shopping at Trader's Joe or Milan's. In this two places shopping is a real pleasure, not like in Publix. That's why I go less and less to Publix, same as friends that live in the Brickell area. Bigger companies had to close their doors for not listening to the customers. This publix is convenient / central to Mary Brickell, but always very cold. No reception, even outside can be spotty which is tough when you're trying to catch a ride share. Also very close to the entrance is a dumpster area that smells terrible when you pass a certain direction. While there's a lot of selection when you get in, the foods mostly the same and not always the healthiest. The fish department could use some love. I like their sushi, but they rarely have any great wild fish and limited selection. Often they are either out, packed up, or the service is off. Sometimes the bakery is out of items too. I come here only when I need a few items and I'm in the area. They really could do better for a Publix, but I guess they know their market. You'll get your staples and bread n butter here. Some specialty, but not a lot of organic. Cashiers are always helpful and friendly. read more

This Publix is very close to our home, nice and clean, unfortunately lately the garage changed the way you enter, before you needed to get a ticket that it was validated at the front desk in Publix, now you need to dial a phone number with your celular and then click #9 to enter and #5 to exit, then once you are done shopping at Publix, you need to scan a code that it will show on your phone the word "free", no problem right? Wrong, even when it's suppose to be free for up to two hours in Publix, the owners of the garage will send you an email or text asking you to pay for the parking, After that You need to call Space, the company managing the garage and waste several minutes explaining why you don't need to pay and show proof of the screen on your phone that it said "free". I'm planning to go to other Publix, it's sad because I'm used to this one and I like it but it's too much of a hassle. read more

Why Publix why? That was my first thought as I stepped into this madhouse. I know it's Brickell, I know parking is a mess, I know space is limited, but this is one of the locations that I ask myself why exactly it exists. You manage to get into the parking garage to then get a ticket. This ticket then has to be validated if you want to avoid paying for parking. The garage itself is cramped and the store is minuscule in comparison to other locations. I understand that I cannot fault a place for where it is situationed, but I can fault a place for a lack of organization and messing up an order. Ditto with missing items and/or lack of variety. Originally passed by to pick up a company order that they messed up. The ladies were nice and remedied things immediately, but this along with everything else just put me in a bit of a sour mood. While I prefer the Publix on 13th St, sometimes it makes sense for me to pop into this location instead while out and about. Yes, it's smaller than most outposts, but it still gets the job done! What I like about this location is their selection of ready made food, including meats and fish that you can simply throw on the grill or in the oven. My regular Publix certainly has this too, but this one seems to have more, including sandwiches and ready made lunch bites. There is also a cafe with a ventanita, but it faces out to Miami Ave, so you actually can't order from within the store which can be a bummer. Besides that, the staff is always super friendly and I find I'm usually able to pay in a breeze with little wait time (but I tend to go in the afternoon during weekdays). If you do need to drive, the parking garage is free for Publix customers. Another win for the sometimes chaotic Brickell area! read more

I went grocery shopping at Publix with my daddy today. It use to be my favorite place on Earth. But that was another location. And too long ago. Anyways, this location was much smaller and cramped. The produce selection was little. But when Publix has a sale, this place stocks for mass sales. Omg, berries every where I look. Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries... Corn cobs too. Space to think's necessary with so many brand choices to decide on... I love Publix having a sales circular on the Flipp App. They have manufacturer coupons, sales circular and recipes at the entrance. And still, I forgot to get the Buy 1 Get 1 Free Skippy Peanut Butter. People are friendly: employees or not. read more

Huge Grocery Store in Brickell near the Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton in Brickell, downtown Miami. Incredible section of hard to find wines from South America-specifically Luigi Bosca Malbec from Mendoza, Argentina! It is recommended that you to let it sit for an hour uncorked before drinking. FYI-Mendoza is considered "the Wine Country" of Argentina. Other goodies included Plantain Strips, and gourmet crackers and snacks for a short term stay. read more

There are 2 Publix locations in the Brickell area just a few blocks apart; There's the original one on 13th St./Coral Way, and this smaller one at 1st Ave. and 10th St. behind Mary Brickell Village that's much newer (actually, there's a 3rd location not too far away on 7th Street near the exit from I-95 as well if you're counting). As far as this location at Mary Brickell, there are 2 ways to access the parking garage; You can either enter from SW 1st Ave and access a garage that tends to offer more open spaces as it's really only intended for patrons of this grocery store, or if coming from downtown, you can also come up SW 10th and park in the garage for Mary Brickell Village, where you'll most likely need to park on an upper floor due to so many patrons for the bars/restaurants and LA Fitness there. Both garages are connected on the 3rd floor so you can walk from one to the other, and when checking out at Publix, they'll validate your parking for up to 2 hours at either garage. This Publix is not as large as some which means their selection on many items can be limited vs. their larger stores, but they had everything we needed, including wine, when preparing dinner. On the evening we came they only had 1 attendant working at the deli counter to cut meats and cheeses and she was overly methodical and painfully slow. I only had 1 patron in front of me and it still took at least 10 minutes to get a simple order of prosciutto. read more

I have been to some Publix in downtown area. But this one was definitely the hardest one to navigate. First of all, parking in downtown Miami is terrible. That seems to be well known. So for places like this, they have to provide parking decks if they are going to get business. The problem is, that they have no signage showing you where to go to park. Problem number 1. Once we finally found it after circling the block a couple of times, we finally found a spot. We were buying a ton of stuff and needed a shopping cart to bring it to the car. But it wasn't very clear if you were able to take your carts back to the parking deck. After that, the elevator down button didn't seem to be working nor anything telling you what floor to go to. Once we eventually walked down the stairs, there was a man yelling at the manager and being escorted out (this was not necessarily their fault. The store itself was small. But what you would expect in a downtown metro. They had what we needed and we headed out. Fortunately the elevator worked on the way up and we got out of there. All in all, they had what we needed, but it wasn't super convenient. The cashier was friendly and funny which is what sends this from a 2 star experience to a 3 star. read more

Oh I'm sorry but I didn't like the size of this Publix's location, too small. I felt overwhelmed with all the products compared with other locations I have been in. The service as usual was wonderful, at the time of paying and at the customer service where my mom checked her lotto ticket. No we are not millionaires, YET! The restroom was clean. We parked on the Mary Brickell parking lot which also has spaces for Publix customers and as we paid our groceries, they stamped our parking ticket and we end up paying less thanks to Publix. This Publix gets the job done. It has an easy to find parking garage with validated parking (must get it validated at the register during checkout). There is also limited street parking. I think the location is great! I stop by here after running all my errands in the area, then I Uber home. It's not the biggest publix and may not have a few items I would get at other Publix', but they all target their markets of the area.. so makes sense. They always have sushi rolling out, sometimes the avocado looks a little old but what're ya gonna do. I also think the vegetables are decent here. I've gotten some questionable ones from Instacart before (this is an instacart location). I'd also say this Publix is quite pricey. Like I said though, overall it gets the job done. I suspect that this Publix is mixing old and new meat to make profit. I bought some ground beef that was pink on the outside with old brown smelly meat in the inside. I went and returned it and told the person what was wrong. She suspiciously stayed quit as if she knew they mixed old and new meat. The day before I also bought some ground up beef and notice only a few left and they were totally out of one kind of beef (forgot the name all ground up stuff for burgers and so on). I picked the beef that I did not see the day before in stock. To my amazement that beef was all the way pink and had no issues. I saw a tv show on how grocery stores scam people by mixing old and new meat. I am very concerned with this practice and suspect Publix of doing this. read more

I waited in line at the deli for nearly 45 min. They had two workers at the sub line--one working on online orders and the other on the people in store. There was a third person available that seemed like management telling the workers what to do instead of helping take care of the line. After waiting in line for so long they took long to put the sandwich together and the toppings were stuffed in and falling apart. Don't we all love Publix so much?? Especially this location!! I live super close and my experience is always lovely. The employees are all so nice and helpful. This publix can get super busy at times as it it located in the heart of brickell, but they are so quick to checkout and rarely have to wait too long in lines. I moved to Brickell a couple of months ago. I never shop in store 581 due to the fact that I love the one in CG today I went to 581 for the first time and probably the last time. I always go to publix, I know their prices are higher but I always feel supported by the staff but not today. As I came in, the security seem to tired and on the phone. My walk into the store was like I'm in a rabbit hole. This store is old and does not have the same distribution that the big markets, and it is ok. I got lost a few time and none seem to care. When in another store the staff walk me to the shelf and tell here - it is. Today was silence, none to ask. The funny part was when i got to the register. I am very friendly, I always called the cashier by her name, no answer. when I requested double paper bag the bagger was bother he toss my $ 80.00 list into a single bag, things were falling out, I was, ok, I can fix this in the car. As I walked away I look at the cashier and bagger and said, thanks no answer. I think their mask didn't let them talk. lol. And here is the best part on my way to the door the lady manager was at the entrance and I try to make eyes contact with her. NO no no she was not present, nor she said thanks for shopping with us. I give this publix one star because is close to my apartment on the bay. But I don't think they will see me again. I work in a retail business, I am pro-clients, I love make my client feel that every dollar they spend on my business is worthy. No, no no Publix 581 you didn't make it for me. Parking situation sucks. Long walk from designated deck through construction zone. Won't bother shopping here until they finish. Besides the parking situation, Publix is where I go to pick up frozen veggies, Silk coconut milk, spring water and other random items that are simply cheaper here than at Whole Foods or Milam's. I have to downgrade my review for this Publix after realizing more of its flaws: - need to take the elevator to take the cart up to the parking levels... why?! - the produce selection is not as expansive as it could be. 5th Street Miami Beach Publix and the new Omni Publix offer much better - 5th Street Publix and even Omni Publix seems to have more variety of products. This is still a nice Publix though - and convenient for those going to LA Fitness, to work nearby or just for those Brickellites since this Publix is still better than the other two in Brickell. I'm new to the area so I really can't compare to any other Publix in the area. However, my first impressions after shopping there a couple of times is that this store is EXPENSIVE with a capital E. You can buy the exact same products at other stores for even a dollar less in some cases. I'm also not a fan of the extremely long aisles. It seems weird that they set it up that way unlike other supermarkets which will have an aisle down the middle or have them going the other way. My main problem with this is that the the signs only list 3 things out of the 20 that are found in the aisle so it's impossible to know where to find anything. Plus, there is never anyone around to ask any questions to. My third issue with the place is the produce section. It is very small and lacks organic fruits & veggies. I saw maybe one type of organic fruit there and that doesn't cut it. I also don't understand why the produce section hidden in the back corner of the store. I think I'll do my major shopping elsewhere and only stop in here if I'm in a pinch. read more

I came in this morning in need of a particular fish in the seafood department but quickly was worried because I was told the seafood department did not open until 9:30 AM. I was elated with excitement when I walked off the metrorail and saw the sign that said Publix coming soon! For those non walkers and non metrorail riders, let me tell you, even though there is a Publix right there on 13 street, you can't beat the convenience of the Publix that is across the street from the metrorail. Especially when you have to walk to work every day! Not only is this Publix clean, but the staff is super friendly and things are so organized! (at least it is when I am there in the early morning of 8 am). I seem to find every organic thing I need on my list for snacks and breakfast items. And right after Publix, as I continue my walk, I can stop for Starbucks across from Balans, ahh morning complete! I can conquer my workday now! read more
