I came into this Publix after 2 PM, well past the lunch rush, expecting normal service. Instead, the sub counter experience was frustrating and unprofessional. Despite having plenty of employees on the floor, service was extremely slow. The employee making my sub openly complained to her coworker about items not being stocked and moved at an exaggeratedly slow pace the entire time. I ordered one of the simplest subs possible, yet she kept walking away and taking unnecessary trips back and forth. At one point, another employee was standing behind the counter and asked if I was being helped. I honestly said I didn't know, because the woman making my sub kept walking away and disappearing. Even after telling her three separate times to add mayo, she still forgot it. The customer behind me finished their order before mine, which made the delay feel intentional. Other customers were clearly irritated, including a group of teens openly commenting on how slow the service was. A man even tried to skip me in line, saying he needed to rush back to work. The lack of professionalism continued throughout the area. A young male behind the counter called the woman next to me "sweetie" and placed the price tag from her sub on his own shirt as a placeholder while working. It was strange, unhygienic, and uncomfortable to watch. I hadn't had a Publix sub in a long time and was looking forward to it, but this location has seriously gone downhill. Poor attitudes, no urgency, and behavior that doesn't belong in a professional food-service environment. Very disappointing. After browsing the aisles we stopped an employee named Chrissi for some assistance. She was SO polite so nice and so happy. I felt like she genuinely didn't mind helping! I really appreciated it! I was also there with my uncle and we both experienced great customer service at the register too! Anthony and Mandy were also both super nice! My uncle and I were like where do they find these people!? Why is everyone so nice and pleasant?! I just wanted to say thank you. A smile and friendliness goes a longgg wayyy and I just wanted to make it known that this customer service went a long way and we appreciated it. And Publix is clutch. This Publix definitely checks the box for a solid go-to chain supermarket. They have pretty much everything you need and the shelves are well stocked, too. I have also found the store to be well maintained and neat, even though it is often quite busy. The staff is friendly and even when it is busy, you can get through the checkout pretty fast. One thing I have noticed is that their bakery is pretty good and they definitely have an above average ice cream selection. read more

This Publix is signficantly larger than my favorite (Publix in The Crossings) abd about three times bigger than the one off of Killian and 120th. It must be this large because it is located on 88 street Kendall Drive and services thousands of Kendall residents. As a result, it is usually VERY busy. But is also has a much larger selection of EVERYTHING and a higher turnover rate ensuring product freshness. The staff have worked there for many years. I enjoy seeing the same Butcher (he's very nice) every time I shop. The Produce gentleman is also a sweetheart. The cashiers are always pleasant too. At first glance this Publix appears to be like any other. But I've spent quite a bit of time there to notice that this location carries many more items than other locations. Take a look in the disposables aisle, for example. They have just about every size, shape and color paper/plastic plates, cutlery, cups, napkins and more. They have a big section just for party paper goods. The International / Specialty foods section is an entire aisle, and a long one at that! Here you'll find all kinds of exotic foods. I've spotted some Jamaican Ackee (SOMEONE out there must like the stuff, right?), Canned lychees, curries, thai ingredients, so much more. Throughout the store you'll find lots of Organic, Gluten-Free and/or Vegan items. I love the produce department here. When in season, they have funky looking grapes called "Witch's Fingers", growing quickly in popularity so you might see them at other stores too. They have A LOT of veggies and greens to choose from, not just the regular, boring stuff. I saw Organic Rainbow Chard today. It is so pretty. The produce is always fresh. Restrooms are located up front to the right of the Customer Service counter...and they're always clean. :) Be on the look out for their weekly ad. Do you have the Publix app? If you're a frequent Publix shopper you have to get the app and apply the weekly coupons to your account. When you check out, they ask you to enter your phone number and your phone number is connected to your app so no more clipping coupons! Each week, usually Friday, you'll receive an e-mail to "clip your coupons". Saving a few bucks here and there goes a long way! This particular Publix location is great for parking. They have spots right in front of the door... probably the only reason why I love coming here. I get in and out quickly. Next thing, employees always welcome you with a smile! And lastly, they're always so organized. You find your same items at the same spots always and it makes your shopping trip that much easier. I love eating the Publix subs but every time I order one I have a bad experience. The deli workers are very rude when my husband one lady shouted at him, when I asked to have the chicken battered or when we wanted specific sides on the sub. The quality of the food is great and I know what minimum wage is like, we are not obnoxious or degrading we just don't see why most of the people in the deli section are so mean, one worker there yesterday mumbled something and was menacing to us I really would appreciate if they changed their attitude because in the Publix in town and country (the palms) they are very welcoming and nice, they take their time and aren't hostile.. read more

This is a Publix, but it stands above most others. It is very clean, organized and the staff is very friendly. Many a conversation or random puns have been had with the cashiers and they're always willing to sell you a Lotto ticket (you won't win, but still!) I do tend to stay away from the flowers, they have never lasted more than two days. If you want flowers, the ones sold on the street always last a long time! Or head to Trader Joe's. This is my closest Publix. It definitely is a gem on Kendall Drive. It has everything and always clean. My only thing is that it is not as big as the one on 120 Ave, so they don't have a pharmacy. I love love love their subs here. I like their subs better than anywhere else. I always get the Ultimate sub and order ahead online. There has been times where I had to wait for the sub to be ready past the time I asked for, but it hasn't happened in a while. I order deli meats and cheese ahead as well and that is always ready on time. Fruits and veggies can be pricey here. I like to get the strawberries when they are on sale. The fruit salads are so yummy, but expensive. I get them when they are on sale only. My favorite thing about Publix, and maybe the most surprising, are their croquetas. They are delicious. Perfectly crispy on the outside and always warm. They're pretty reasonably priced also. I always get a couple when I go as a treat. I usually get their ham croquetas, but the cheese are really yummy as well. The bakery makes the most amazing breads! My favorite is the Italian Five Grain. The bread is always soft. read more

Publix is def. a pleasure to shop at they are always clean and there very friendly and helpful if you are looking for something and cannot find it. I also found out that they can order stuff for you that you might not be able to find in there aisles. For instance they dont sell white frosted oreos in the counter but they did make an order for me and picked it up when it arrived lol.. They also seperate there organic produce from the non-organic produce (which is a plus) they also have there own organic publix brand food which is great!!!! They sell boars head deli meat which i find better tasting then many other brands a little pricey but if you are a sandwich lover then you def. must try it out my favorite is the honey maple turkey breast sooooo yummy!!!! They also have an ethnic section and there own bakery with lots of pastries. i love to buy Jamaican soda which in most grocery stores they do not sell it (Ting) the lines are quick and they help you to your car... I walked into the publix with a couple of returns and the manager on duty was beyond rude to me as was the attendant at the customer service. they asked if I had a receipt and because I said no they basically treated myself and the person behind me who was also returning some items without a receipt like we were thieves returning merchandise. I'm sorry but who hasn't ever lost a receipt before? it was ridiculous, I'm no thief and everything I'm returning is just going to be store credit, meaning I can't buy anything from anywhere unless it's a publix. I don't even get hassled like that at retail stores, especially for something a silly as not having a receipt which anyone can misplace especially if they had no intention of returning the items in the first place. it was super embarrassing and insulting!! I will definitely never again go to this publix, they need to be taught customer service!! read more
