Always packed hate it! No matter what time early morning, late morning, early afternoon, late afternoon, evening, and late at night... IT IS PACKED! This Publix is everything the "Sorority Girl Publix" over on Monza Ave. isn't. Spacious, with wide aisles. Orderly deli department with the automated system you find in all newer Publix markets - no fighting to obtain a few slices of ham. Larger Greenwise section. Ample parking. Large produce department, very nice wine selection. There's also a small liquor store attached, in case you need something a little more......substantial....than wine or beer. The checkout lines never seem to be that bad, either. I think the cashiers over on Monza actually try to be slow and inefficient, making these seem lightning-quick by comparison. No matter - rarely do I find myself becoming impatient here. I was just there a few minutes ago. While I've never found this Publix to be up to much in terms of people-watching, I could not avert my gaze from a rather classy-looking, fetching blonde with wavy short hair, about my age or a couple years older. She was clad in what looked to me like a flight attendant's uniform, just the kind you'd have seen in the '60s and '70s back when that was a glamorous job. Knee-high skirt, colorful light scarf. Wow. It took me way too long to find what I was looking for in the produce department - to be honest, I couldn't concentrate on my shopping. No, I didn't get her number - I'm far too shy to talk to hot women in grocery stores. I did, however, score 1lb strawberry cartons at 2 for $4.00....so the trip wasn't a total loss. read more

Remember when it was the "Supersized" market, "XXTRA"? (This was WAY before "SuperWalmart") And before that, "The Golden Triangle"? Yeah, well, even before it was in the heart of "Downtown Dadeland", this Publix was my Grocery Destination. When living in Mid-Kendall (near the flyover) we'd been frequenting the Publix at 107th & Kendall... Older ("Classic"?) smaller and just average. When this Publix opened, we rejoiced. We became loyal customers, and were up until we left the area. This Publix was one of the first of their "Larger" layouts, and still had the supreme service, awesome produce, and fresh meats and fishes we've come to expect from our Publixes. Plus the Wine Aisle. I've since left the area, and I miss this Publix SO MUCH! read more

I love this Publix! It's always fully stocked and with enough employees throughout the store to help you. The bakery and deli are always full of goodies, both fresh and tasty. They also have an aisle dedicate to organic foods. What I kinda like the most is their wine section. Their wine section is super organized and categorized by country origin. They have an array of wines and prices to fit everyone's budget and taste. Plus they have a section for champagne and mixers. They do have a Publix liquor store next door to the actual store which sells your typical hard liquor and mixers. This used to be a great Publix but now all they have is spoiled produce and foods. The fish has taken a huge dip in quality and sometimes you can't find what you're looking for. They've given me hassles planets of times when I try to use coupons - it seems as though they just don't care to accept them. The meat section is wonderful, there is an amazing variety of ethnic foods, bakery is delish, and the cafeteria for Cuban pastries and coffee is wonderful! Always organized and staff are extremely helpful! yes it is always full, but there is ALWAYS parking. I have been here during the week at various times and I always find a spot without any problems. I've always loved Publix, but for some reason the "managers" at this store are rude, and standoffish. When you ask for corporate's contact information they refuse to give it, and try passing off the store manager's business card as corporate's info. Not to mention YOUR CAR WILL GET TOWED. It's absurd that Publix customers are getting their cars towed from their parking lot. Even the district manager for this store have a atrocious customer service skills. I heart Publix Supermarket. It's the best feel-good supermarket to me without any of the smug attitude you get from those upscale shops like Whole Foods, etc. I don't know what feel-good vibes they pipe in their stores but I'll go to Publix before any other store (especially Winn-Dixie). For back story: Publix is a Florida-born chain and market themselves as a down-to-earth, friendly, approachable, clean grocery store, it shows. From their store layout, to the friendlier store clerks, and their storebranded product packaging (which won graphic design recognition) - they are truly a place where "shopping is a pleasure." They are even ranked on Forbes's Top Companies to Work For. I once had to live in Michigan for a summer and nearly died--no Publix and only Kroger and Albertsons were here, totally unsatisfying. I hated it. This Dadeland Publix is huuuuge and has an extensive produce and flower section. It's bright, airy, and always stocked with a huge selection that's neatly arranged. They also have a sushi prep-bar inside, a deli eatery, artisan baked bread, and an antipasto bar. Very gourmet this place is. They also have a small perfume gift shop. In their beauty aisle they carry upscale items like salon-only hair care products. It's clearly aimed at their upscale market. read more

This Publix was my go-to grocery store for the 5 years living in the Dadeland area. Almost everyday (did my best to stock up on food to prevent repeated trips) I shopped here on weekends or after work (I parked at Dadeland South Station after taking the train). I never really had a problem in the store, although the parking can be crazy with rude and blind drivers. Also inside the store it can be really busy. As I discovered you have a lot of condos, office buildings, etc in the area so everybody shops there. Going inside you are looking into a huge store with items pretty much almost always stocked. Large assortment of everything, huge Greenwise section of it's own (not crazy with other Publix's that it's mixed up). Staff was mixed, in terms of some were friendly to help and some were not. You have a couple of cashiers that barely spoke English, smh. One staff member I miss though is Terry who does the cooking for Aprons. Love her to death. We always greeted each other and ended up having a conversation only when she was preparing the food, not serving haha! Especially food tips! All in all my experiences at this Publix was pretty good. I go to this Publix only because it's the closest one to my house. The selection is good. But I don't like the lay out compared to other Publix stores. I tried calling in a sub order, Monday 10:30 on the way to work. I started calling in broward got put on hold 3 times, disconnected and talk to rudely. I have been going to public since I was 3 years old. It's a great supermarket with amazing costumer service .They truly value costumers by being efficient. Also the Greenwise snd organic selection is very good quality. The only ISSUE with Publix supermarkets as a franchise as a whole is there's way TOO MUCH SUGAR in all the foods. For instance the cold brewed tea selection by the deli taste great. The only problem is the sweet tea carries approximately 42 grams of sugar as well as an additional 40 grams of sugar. Besides the overwhelming sugar amount in some food and drinks I have no complaints. The subs are delicious , a great freshly prepared sushi selection, and a great lunch meal selection. I value very much that Publix pays for security or police presence at almost every store Location which makes me feel safe and reassured when entering the supermarket. read more

This is by far one of the BEST Publix in Miami, there aisle are huge and the store is kept very clean plus they have the best subs , much better then the one at Subs ect or Stop N Shop even the service and the location is better then Stop N Shop witch is some little hole in the wall market witch offers subs and some food/wine items but not as much of a variety as at Publix and who knows if they even follow sanitation procedures at those places like Stop N Shop or Subs etc. I can tell you that at Publix they are very sanitize and follow all proper procedures as I notice they always wash there hands many times, plus the people that make your subs here are great and make it the way YOU want it and will go above and beyond unlike at other places were they are in a hurry to get you in an out to get as much business as they can. This is my favorite Publix because it's a decent size and I know where everything is!! They have a liquor store attached and a great wine selection inside. They also have a nice bakery, deli and a great organic section!! Don't go between 5-7 pm because it gets crowded but they have a lot of cashiers and the lines go by fast. They are well stocked and I usually find everything that I need. Love, love, love. :) read more

I agree with my fellow yelpers, this is by far the best Publix in the southern parts. We used to go to the one by UM, and I cant begin to tell you how unsatisfying that was. When they opened the one in Dadeland (conveniently located 10 mins away from our house) , we were super excited. This Publix is huge! the isles are spacious and always clean, and there're no funky smells coming from the produce section which is very ample and varied. Their Deli is delish! very big too with lots of options. I get all my meds from this Pharmacy. If you ever have any questions don't hesitate to ask Jenny, she is always super helpful and she makes a point of knowing her customers really well. Also, I don't know what kind of bulbs they use in this one, or if its just because its so spacious, but the lighting is super comfortable. I always leave supermarkets with a headache because of the extreme fluorescent lights, but it somehow works here. They also have a full liquor store that is open til 10pm. My advice to you if you live in the Dadeland/North Kendall/ South Miami/ Pinecrest/Palmetto Bay area is to come do your shopping here. I also love that its kinda hidden, so come to the Dadeland Publix where shopping IS TRULY A PLEASURE! read more

This Publix has it going on -- fresh, healthy looking produce (and when it doesn't look that great, the stock boys will warn you, which I think is pretty kind), large floral area, a decent bakery (the egg bread, what me and bf refer to as "mother's milk" is always doughy and perfect) with a variety of different ethnic goodies, a great variety of meat (organic and non), an entire Greenwise/organic aisle, great beer and wine selection, friendly staff (although some bag boys are very pushy about pushing your cart to your car), a deli/cafe section, and it's spacious. It's well staffed, so you never have to wait too long to check out. Nuzzled within the downtown Dadeland area. Added bonus is the liquor store right next door, so if you're throwing a party you can kill a couple of birds at once. I go here every week, love it! read more

This is by far my favorite Publix store, and lucky for me, it's the one closest to home. The store is always clean and offers a great selection in every department. The staff is friendly and courteous, and the lines are never too long. The produce and meats are always fresh and I really like their natural and organic product section. Their attached liquor store is also very nice. Another plus is this Publix has a little perfume & accessory shop built-in, which is great for last-minute gifts when you want to avoid the mall. I love this Publix!! It's very new and spacious inside and the selection of fresh produce and prepared foods is great! The parking lot is a bit tight on one side but I usually just park further back. Service is always friendly and pleasant. Lastly if you can try to avoid going on Sunday as we went today and it was a bit mobbed! People must do their weekly food shop on Sundays. Came here yesterday to buy flowers for my father, whose birthday was yesterday, while he convalesces at Baptist Hospital. Their refrigerated floral arrangements were in short supply. There were maybe 5 or 6 options in a vase, and they didn't look very fresh. I picked the best-looking arrangement, but the tips of the roses were wilting, and the rest of the flowers in the arrangement were bending. I cannot speak for the rest of the store, but they really need to step it up in the floral department. I didn't have time to go to another Publix unfortunately, but there are other locations with a more diverse, and fresher selection, and it made me wish I had gone to one of those instead. read more

He answered all questions, shared all sales and explained products with detail. This is most definitely the best Publix, if not supermarket, in the Dadeland / South Miami area. The market itself is very large and the options in items are nearly limitless. The produce is always fresh. They always have seasonal fruits and vegetables, and you can always ask for help from one of the produce employees that are always around. The deli meats and fish are also very fresh. In fact, whenever I decide to make a delicious filet of fish or a juicy filet Mignon I go to this Publix. The deal breaker, though, is their health foods isle. Although it is only one isle, you can find anything from organic salad dressings to whole wheat pastas and tomato sauce. It is definitely and isle I visit every time I'm in the store. There are also various items available that I have not been able to find anywhere else. This includes special oil, organic ginger dressings and certain sauces that I use for cooking. Now its not all glitz and glamor. I do have to say that the parking is pretty tough, especially considering the amount of patrons that frequent this specific Publix. Consequently, the market is packed with people -- prepare to wait at least 10-15 min. at the check out line. The wine selection is nothing to write home about either. Other than the few negative things mentioned, this Publix location is excellent. I've heard many people go out of their way just to get there -- including my sister who drives from Calle Ocho! If you're looking for good, fresh food, this is definitely the market to shop. read more
