Milam’s Market - MOST DISRESPECTFUL EMPLOYEE EVER - Grocery Near Me - Pinecrest, Florida

Love your store! Love your products! Love the convenience! Love Love your employees! But if you loved your employees as much as I do, you would close earlier! They deserve better hours so that they are fresh & happy upon returning the next day! There is no reason to have them working until 11pm on Sundays or on holidays! As a valued Milams customer, I suggest you value your employees and reduce the hours of operation! Just my 2 cents. read more

We have been neighbors in Pinecrest and loyal customers of Milans for over 10 years. Although it's not the cheapest option, we have always chosen to shop here for the convenience and the good service we used to receive. Unfortunately, last night we had a very unpleasant experience with a new manager who displayed a rude and arrogant attitude. We went to return two expired products (a sausage and a loaf of bread, both sealed and unopened) and simply asked for store credit to exchange them. We were told that under new policies, such returns are no longer accepted. When we asked to speak with the manager, his response was that they "don't sell expired products" and that he was there "to make money, not to lose it." We explained that we have been customers for years, that this had never been an issue before, and that their suppliers accept sealed, unused products. Nevertheless, he addressed us disrespectfully, stating in front of my family that "his job is to make the business money, not to make people happy or let them do whatever they want." We find this way of treating loyal customers unacceptable. This is not a complaint against Milans as a store, but against a specific supervisor/manager who needs proper training to understand his real role: building and maintaining good customer relationships. I am attaching the card of the person we spoke with so that management can provide the appropriate training before assigning him to a customer-facing position. read more

Stopped by Milam's Market and honestly had a great experience. The staff was amazing. I went to the deli counter and waited maybe a minute or two super fast. The guy who helped me was awesome and clearly knew his stuff. I asked him for a cheese recommendation, specifically something I could just eat by itself with no crackers, no bread, no extra effort. He immediately recommended Muenster cheese... and wow. He let me try it, I took one bite, paused for a second, and literally said, "That's it." No further questions needed. He nailed it. I grabbed it, checked out, and was on my way very satisfied (and slightly obsessed with Muenster now). On top of that, the store has a really nice selection of specialty cheeses, fresh fruits, and other unique items you don't always see everywhere. Great service, great recommendations, and now I'm leaving with a new favorite cheese. Definitely coming back read more

I love this place but I had a issue with someone In the dairy section there's a employee woman named Jeanae and she is just rude she cussed in front of my children and as a parent that is not okay she even acknowledged my kids in her presence but yet she continued with that foul language and she wreaked like pot! But other then that I love the place I go there all the time I highly recommend it read more

If Milam's market was closer, I would probably frequent it more often. Yes it's a bit higher priced than my regular supermarket but the variety and the quality stands out. What gets me to drive there regularly though is the prepared foods. Yes I know that is easy enough to make my own chicken salad and my own egg salad but somehow I just enjoy the taste of theirs. Their meat selection is excellent and when I buy a prime steak at Milan's, it is the same quality that I get at a fine restaurant. The seafood is always fresh and I especially like to buy my stone crab there when it is in season because it is usually on special, so it is both affordable and exceptional. The score is well organized and quite clean and has many spices and especially barbecue rubs that I cannot find anywhere else. The staff is courteous and they make themselves more accessible than staff at other markets; really quite a nice place to shop. read more

The Food selection is amazing, as is their wine inventory. The customer service is the best in Miami. I've been a happy, loyal customer for a reason. They always deliver a well stocked, clean store with a great ambiance for shopping. Cudos to your teamwork! read more

I have been shopping at Milam's Market in Pinecrest since they opened several years ago Management has always been wonderful and I have enjoyed shopping there all these years. Today I had a sad experience that will keep me away at least for a while. They advertised free eggs from the 11th through the 17th. At 9:30 am today, Sunday the 14th they had none of the eggs advertised and would not give me a comparable. I received an unreasonable and rude reply from management who asked me to just keep coming back... This is a scam and false advertising. Sad to see Milam's steep so low with its faithful customers. Shame! read more

A phenomenal grocery store in the heart of Pinecrest! I requested a certain flavor of the Poppi drink - Cranberry Fizz, my sister had introduced me to this flavor. I went to my grocery store, Milam's in Pinecrest. Even though they carry the Poppi brand this flavor was not on the shelf. I went to the customer service desk and requested this flavor and in a couple of weeks, I had a text message from Mr. Max Milam letting me know that he was able to get this flavor in. I was delighted to hear. He then verified the store, and it had actually gone to the Coconut Grove store instead of the Pinecrest store. This next gesture of care for the customer, went above and beyond in my opinion. After hearing that it ended up in the wrong store, Mr. Milam had informed me that "he had a merchandiser going down there to Pinecrest today, so he picked it up at the Grove and put it on the shelf in Pinecrest. It's on the shelf now! Have a great weekend. Thank you for choosing to shop with our family business.." Mind blown! Truly! You will not find this level of customer care anywhere else, anywhere!! It is because of the quality of care from every single employee that works in this Pinecrest store, no matter the position you hold. You the associate cares and it shows in your work ethic and mannerisms. I don't live in Pinecrest but I shop in this store and I want to thank every single employee and the owners, the Milam family, Thank you all so much for everything you do every day! You make a difference! It means a lot! Thank you! read more

This supermarket is incredibly good. Way better than Publix and cheaper than Whole Foods. This supermarket always has fresh top quality produce and a top shelf quality meat department. Their seafood department is also nicely stocked, and prices, as I had mentioned, are not crazy expensive. It's definitely worth coming here if you want quality food at a reasonable price. I've never seen someone so aggressively pack groceries in my life. This female African American bagger with short hair seemed to be personally offended by every item I purchased, smashing my bread under a can of beans and then acting like it was my fault. I swear my eggs were cracked on purpose. Each bag was a chaotic mix of frozen, fragile, and heavy items, as if she was playing some kind of twisted Tetris game with my food. By the time I got home, my milk carton had exploded, and my avocados were more like guacamole. I'm pretty sure she hates her job and takes it out on innocent shoppers like me. Idk what her deal was but it was absurd read more

Milam's is a top-notch grocery store local business, and this is definitely our go to place when we are visiting friends and family here. Staff are always around to help customers, and are friendly and helpful every time we've needed to find something or need a recommendation. Their product selections are superb and produce / meats are always fresh and of great quality. In general, Milam's is less pricy than other premium grocery stores, without skimping on ambiance, selection, service, or quality. We'll be back!! read more

I love coming to this market for special cold cut turkey products and their cheeses. It's more of a but upscale market that just has fabulous products and fresh seafood options. Their deli selection of meats, salads, and more are killer too. They also have really nice orchids and other flowers to purchase. I love to look around and see what healthier options and products they have at other markets to. I suggest to take.ypur time while coming here as you'll find goodies down every aisle! read more

A little bit pricey but if you a regular at Publix, Whole Foods and other similar grocery stores than it's for you! Some items are limited like I couldn't find a bodywash that I use! Plenty of service workers around! Store is huge, wide isles, cool, and clean! I would recommend it! read more

Milan's Market is a group of high end grocery stores located around the nice neighborhood of Miami. We usually visit the Pinecrest location which I feel is the biggest. They have a great selection at their deli with very fresh and tasty meals. I also love their seafood section which for me has the best cocktail shrimps and stone crabs. Milan's might be pricer than other supermarkets, but when you are in the mood to spurge it totally worth it. read more

This review is to highlight the meat counter and specifically Shettleton. He is very knowledgeable, experienced, and a professional attendant. He has knowledge on the best cuts of meat in every price range and takes extra time to prepare cuts that I specifically come to Milam's to find such as prime filet or harder to find boneless short ribs. Even if I have to wait a little longer for service, I prefer to be helped by him. read more

A really upscale feel to the shop, with the wooden floor and shelves. I have to say, it feels even more upscale than some Whole Foods and Fresh Market stores. Their wine selection is really nice, though you need to get a full case for the 10% discount. They seem to offer a bit of everything from conventional, well known brands to fancy holistic brands that Whole Foods specializes in. I came for pasta, which they have from Barilla and Mueller to fancy Italian varieties. For toothpaste their offer ranges from Colgate and Crest to Burt's Bee and Jason. The place seems rather quiet so getting in and out is a breeze. read more

What a great market for all your food shopping, always clean, great selection of products. This Milam is a newer location. Newer in the sense of the supermarket name but not the actual building! : P The store is super clean and organized and never too crowded. You actually get a relaxed shopping experience compared to Publix or TD! There's always parking and not too far from the entrance. Parking has never been an issue the times I have gone. The staff is helpful and nice. I recently got coupons for Milam's in the mail, which make it even better ti shop there! I'm a fan! read more

Tonight I decide to run out last minute to get some cucumber salad from Milams but I'm afraid I won't be returning again. I should have know better than to come into this place, esp the deli 20 min before they close expecting service. Tonight one of the employees standing on the customer side opening the front of the display cases face to face with me began to will sing to you while ignoring me ( which is completely typical of their deli dept anyway. You basically are wallpaper). 0 service and then the disrespect of an deli boy trying to like he's practicing for improv singing like boy George on how he's not serving me.... Classical music while grocery shopping and a FANTASTIC wine selection... Count me in! I've been heading to Milam's more and more frequently. It really is such a nice grocery store. Yesterday a few friends and I decided to pop-in to pick up a fantastic sale - Wild caught Stone Crabs $19.99 / lb the sale had been running all week and it was the last day so we wanted to snag the deal before it was over. Everyone at Milam's is so so friendly and helpful - you can tell they are big on customer service. The Employee in the seafood department asked what we wanted and said we could come back for it after we finished the rest of our shopping, he even offered a bag of ice to make sure everything stayed perfectly cold. I passed by the Sushi section, since I usually like to take a peek at what they have. The sushi at Milam's is so fresh and they have a wonderful selection for pretty awesome prices. I've tried here Spicy Tuna Roll ($6.99) it is delicious and filling. This time I opted for a specially roll ($12.99) that was wrapped in rice paper and stuffed with fresh crab meat, salmon, tuna , cucumber and avocado. So fricken yummy, I didn't even need to add any sauce to it. As we were walking out I was tempted by the adorable macaroons (2 for $3) that are strategically placed along the checkout aisle. I ended up getting 2 pistachio macaroons since those are my fave. They come refrigerated, but I let them sit out for a bit before enjoying them. Milam's is on the pricy side but you can find pretty good deals on specialty foods and good wine. The one negative - every time I walk into Milam's there is a strong, unpleasant smell right at the front entrance. Yesterday when we took our friend for the first time, she noticed right as we stepped in, she took a whiff and said it smelled dirty. It reminds me of the fish department smell at Sedanos - Not pleasant at all and definitely below the standards that Milam's has set for themselves. read more

It's rather shocking, I was surprised by how theirs little to no walking room . Everyone is on top of each other especially in the fresh fruit section.I could barely move my cart. The service was awful none of the staff greeted me besides the manager Geo. One Hispanic girl was putting prices on items and she was the worst, she forced her way between a customer and the products. "Excuse me" would've worked. The cashiers were all friendly, I just wish it was bigger and the staff was nicer maybe I would've asked for what I was looking for. read more

I had my first negative experience here (after frequent visits). Went to the counter with unlabeled rotisserie. Was bumped to the back of the line and charged for the highest price option. I have to say I wasn't a fan of Milam, shopped at their location at bird road and in the grove and thought it was adequate. I moved to Pinecrest and my fiancé loves Milams. My fiancé actually got a cute milams recycle bag and a note from welcoming is to the neighborhood. I was like they are overpriced and I will ship at Publix...we'll milams has won me over. The customer service is great and when I can't get to captain tavern before 6 for my fish Milams is a great alternative. Other than one bad experience with a rude cashier last week... I have enjoyed stopping at Milams instead of fresh market or Whole Foods. read more

Great service, fresh food (especially seafood), friendly & helpful staff, and reasonable prices. Just had stone crab claws and they were very fresh. I'm sorry, but this place is a rip off. Yes...many of the food selections are good, but charging $31.00 for some damn mustard sauce is just ridiculous. I could've choked my husband for buying it!!! I'm sorry...but with the average median salary of a mere $46,000 in Miami, this grocery store needs to come down on its prices for the general public. read more

As for me, long time shopper of Milam's and been coming to the Pinecrest store since it opened. I was a bag boy here when it was Publix. Beautiful store. I know this used to be Whole Foods but it didn't disappoint. Just as I expected Milam's to be. Only thing I would say is that it was a little confusing finding the baked goods. I expected all of the sweets stuff( as I love sweets) to be by the bakery but I had to walk around the entire store. They had the cookies and cakes all in the front which didn't make sense to me which I found after going around the entire store. Other than that, it was fine. Cashier was very friendly and everything looked neat and organized, I would expected it to be though being that it is brand new. read more

I am just stating my experience and opinion, of course every one is entitled to theirs, I absolutely love this place, great quality food and people and experience, it's a bit pricey but for those who can afford it, it's cheaper then Whole Foods stores and great deals and specials as well as very nice people, in the US1 location by pine crest area if your ordering deli meat, ASK for Rayza she is the greatest, sweetest person I have ever met period and in that store as well. She is so kind and helpful and I can't say enough about her, you will leave there feeling happy you came is all I can say. Very delightful person and such a joy to talk to and be served by her ... When I die I want to get buried here, or maybe spread my ashes on the produce area! I have never waited a line, and never felt more important. Even the shopping cart selection is amazing... no shopping cart has a wheel issue, they all roll as if your on ice. Plus they have a police car, fire truck, and racing car shopping cart for the kids.
