The produce selection doesn't have any real gems except for the lychees. Those are sold by multiple vendors and at a very good price! Sadly, the produce aspect of the market is underwhelming and defeats the real purpose of a farmer's market. HOWEVER, the product stalls are full of really nice gems. The best one is the fresh ceviche truck. $5 gets you a very generous portion of fish ceviche. It is super fresh and well seasoned. The kettle corn found at another stand is that perfect sweet and salty marriage that only the best of snacks can achieve. The fact that it is made in small batches with a lot of attention to detail is very evident! The arepas are really great! Not your standard fair food - these are authentic arepas that can be stuffed with a variety of options like pork or veggies and not just cheese. There is also a brick oven pizza stand. The pizza is very thin crust and good if eaten right away. Took leftovers home and they did not fare well at all :( Really liked the pooch perks booth. They have homemade treats and toys for your pets and the owners were very nice to my little boy. Market also has the follwoing stands: smoothies, Indian curries, asian fruits, gelato and some clothing and handmade creams. I'll go back for the finished food products, not the produce. The owner answered my call within 2 ring. She spoke English that I understood well and she was friendly and helpful. I forgot her name but both she and her husband came out to greet us and a couple other families. She pointed us to some buckets with wheels and gave us a cutter. She will also weigh the fruits for you. She is very fair with her prices. It's easy to get carried away and pick 20-30lbs of fruits but for just the 2 of us, we hauled out 13lbs of Longan. Yippee!! There's other fruits too such as bananas, sugar apples, jackfruit, mango, milk fruit but sadly they weren't ready yet. They do allow you to walk around on your own and take photos which was a lot of fun if it hadn't been so hot & humid. Do bring plenty of water. Maybe a bottle of spray water if you have it. I am not a fan of keeping animals enclosed so anything to give them more space or land would be a plus for the animals. I'm also not a fan of seeing animals used to carry people and pretty much labor, they have no choice, they are captive and also have to work restlessly. The roads would be much better if they were paved as opposed to dust. It would make the experience a little more clean. The decorations could use a fancier upgrade. Mama's Guava Bars are a unique and true to Miami snack!…read more I first discovered the bars at the Coral Gables Farmer's Market a few years back. Since then, I've seen them pop up at different shops, bakeries and stores all around Miami. What are they? Essentially a bar that consists of guava pulp in the middle, encased by two shortbread cookies. There are four different flavors - Naked, Cinnamon, Hazelnut and Chocolate Almond. I've tried and enjoyed them all, but at the end of the day, really enjoy the plain 'ol Naked flavor! They're great for breakfast, midday snack, dessert, and also a great swap from traditional pastelitos. You can order them online at $14 for a 12 pack ($15 for the chocolate flavor) and also follow them on Facebook to see where they'll be popping up next. I personally look forward to following their journey and will continue to bring these special treats to out-of-towners that want a taste of Miami.
