Highly disappointed! My family and I have been ordering subs from Publix for years in NC without any issues ever. Recently moved to the area and tried out the subs at this location and it was absolutely horrible! The meat tasted spoiled, there was an overly excessive amount of oil used on the sub which saturated 3 layers of paper, the bag and the bread, just a mess! This was an online order so I did not see the sub until I arrived home and thank goodness for me that I placed the sub bag inside of a plastic bag or otherwise there would have been oil all in my car that is how heavily saturated the sandwich was, although I requested light oil. Never again will I ever order from here in the future. read more

By far one of the best Publix locations I've been to, and it's primarily because of the people at the customer service desk. They are consistently friendly, patient, and genuinely helpful, and they handle requests efficiently without making you feel like an inconvenience. Beyond that, the store itself is clean, well organized, and easy to shop. Items are well stocked, and the overall atmosphere feels calm and well managed. This is going to be my last Publix on my road trip as this is as far as this fantastic chain of supermarkets has extended itself. Bummer because Publix is generally pretty great. Publix has the best deli and this one was rocking. The young lady who sliced my Publix white American cheese and then Boar's Head ham was quick, efficient and friendly. Prices are generally a little higher but it's made up with a better shopping experience and higher quality. The store is clean, well stocked and well leveled. This is to commend the very polite and prompt service I always receive from "Sheri" at the deli station in Providence Pavilion Publix. Today when I came up, she was busy helping another customer, but acknowledged that she'd be right with me. When it was my turn, she gave me a cordial greeting, and patiently answered questions regarding a specific kind of liver that I was interested in buying. I also appreciated the fact that she is always very thorough in cleaning the meat slicer before preparing my order. (Not all clerks do that). I am a loyal Publix shopper and shop there personally and for Instacart. In the countless shopping trips I've made, I can say that the deli at the Publix on Floyd rd, in Mableton GA is the WORST! The pre-orders are never completed on time and even with no line and no wait I find myself waiting for up to 30 mins for one item as simple as a turkey and cheese wrap. After multiple issues I spoke with the deli manager, Fiona who had a poor attitude and no customer relation ability whatsoever. It was apparent that the entire deli is affected by poor leadership because truly, the entire department is unfriendly and seemingly unmotivated to do their jobs well. I don't care what Publix I go to the experience is always the same!! OUTSTANDING!! We were headed to a game day party and needed to bring side dishes. I went to the deli and picked up some Southern style potato salad and sweet coleslaw. The large container of potato salad was $4.99. Coleslaw medium and small were $2.49 and $1.29. The smaller size was for home. The store is always nice, neat and clean. The cashier was extremely polite and the lines were not long at all and that was right after a work day! This is a review for Instacart. I made a very large order with Publix and Instacart. WOW what thieves I almost fell over when I saw the delivery charge. The shopper was already picking out my order or I would have canceled it. Publix should not partner with these crooked people outrageous is too mild a word. This Publix is like any other Publix you've been to. The place looks clean. Everything is laid out well. There's a ton of options. My complaint is that they don't have any self-checkout lines. So I had to wait in line at the "10 items or Fewer" lines. There were 2 people in front of me. And it was freaking slow. Why was it slow? I have no clue. The cashier was jabbering with the customer for like 10 minutes. WTF? What are they talking about? Why can't she just pay and leave? So I moved to the line next to me. Even this line was slow! They do things lackadaisical. It's like those sloths in Zootopia. WTF is their problem? Not everyone has time to waste. I have places to go, things to do. I only had 4 items to buy. I thought it was going to be a quick in and out situation. Nope. I think I waited in line at the cashier for like 15 minutes before I finally got out of there. I think they should put in some self checkout lines so people like me can just scan and leave. Not everyone wants to talk to the cashier for 10 minutes. read more

This Publix is better than the Publix on Floyd Rd. I don't know what it is about that one but it is kind of depressing. I have always gotten good customer service from this location for the most part. They used to have a GM that we would always actively see working alongside his associates. He was even seen getting the shopping carts out of the parking lot! Publix rotates their managers so he is no longer there. The bakery is even awesome, with the same lady that has been there since they opened. I know this because she and I share the same last name. The only reason why this location gets 4 stars is because when I came in one Sunday to get a sub for my grandma I decided I wanted a turkey philly. This particular week they had a special on a foot long cold turkey sub. The special price was $4.99. A hot sub costs $4 more for a footlong and $1 more for the 6 inch. So when I expressed to the lady at the Deli that I wanted to get a turkey philly, she was like "But you know a turkey philly is $8.99!" Yes ma'am I am completely aware that a hot sub costs more! Who cares! I know she was trying to save me money but I didn't want a cold sub. I've never had someone fuss with me about what I wanted to order. She went back and forth with me so much about it I almost didn't order anything for myself. I had to tell her I didn't even want the footlong just a six inch and even then she was like "Well that's $5.99". Lady just fix my darn sandwich! Great neighborhood Publix, fresh produce and a good selection of veggies and fruits. Baked goods are fresh as well. I get my bread, my holy slice of cheesecake from the bakery, certain fresh produce there and often times they have a sale in my favorite ice cream talenti. During the Covid-19 virus. Publix had clean carts during the Senior Hours and the staff was available to greet you into the store. Now that the Senior jours have ended. The same customer service is available when I arrive at 7 am when the store opens. The price are high et then other stores in the area but the experience is worth the cost. read more

I normally would not review a grocery store. But after my last few trips, I feel like I need to. This Publix has always been an "on the way home stop and grab". I am typically in and out with specific items in mind. However, I always find myself getting more due to the fact that the staff is so nice and this location is always stocked. The young lady who does the food samples always persuaded me to make something different for dinner and I love it. The cashiers Summer is always so sweet. I've had her as a cashier a few times and each experience was great. She's always so pleasant and you can tell she wants to be there!!! I would def pick this location over others! read more

I love this publix I really do. I've gotten about 6-8 cakes here in the last few month and half of them have ended up wrong.... And needed to be redone.. Its disappointing because I love the cakes they are so delicious, but its always a toss up whether or not I'm gonna get a decent looking cake. read more

My favorite Publix location. I've been to most Publix locations in South Cobb and throughout Metro Atlanta. This by far is my favorite. Pros: - rarely busy (even during the 2014 pre-snow days, I stood in line no more than 10 minutes) - excellent Greenwise selection - decent selection of organic fruits and veggies (better than other Publix stores - very friendly and accommodating staff - well stocked shelves (only 1 time were they out of something I wanted - organic milk) Cons: - none that I can think of I no longer live in Mableton, but wish I could replace my local Publix with this on read more

I picked up cottage cheese today(Dec. 6th) that expired on November 18th. Absolutely repulsive. Continued to search and noticed almost ALL of the dairy was expired already?? Eggs, milk, cream cheese, yogurt... so much of it. Clearly they are low staffed and have not been able to restock shelves but this is a health concern. This Publix misses the point of customer service completely. Why do you sell grab and go soup, but refuse to let me heat it up? I got scolded for trying to sneak and use the aprons simple meals station microwave. They also only have iceberg lettuce in their deli. A salad with shredded iceberg lettuce? Even subway was gotten their act together with the spinach program. I hate this Publix. this is my local publix and i must say it's clean staff is friendly except one day the all the lines were super long and i had about 15 items in my cart... so i proceed to head to the 10 items or less line and the cashier JANET said this is for 10 items or less... and she said it in such a rudely manner... like clearly i can read but why wait on another line when there is no one on ur line... she shows no team work... why over work the other cashiers when u have no one on ur line... so this other lady who was packing bags just opened another register for me... don't understand why take ur job so seriously cause ur not getting paid extra to turn away a paying customer... she needs to fix her attitude.. she showed very poor customer service that day... she act as if i was doing something illegal lol read more

This Publix opened in 2004 when we moved to Mableton. It has been our go to grocery store since then. Many of the long timers know my family and me. The store is clean and since most Publix set their stores up similarly, it's easy to find stuff you need. We have used the pharmacy as well and find the regular staff and even the fill-in staff helpful by going above and beyond by helping us locate a store that can fill a prescription that day -if needed. I find it amazing that employees can tell you where something is when you ask- or will go find it if they can't tell you where the item is. I think it's most helpful that when I can't think of what to cook for dinner that they station a person who makes a meal, keeps the ingredients close and the recipe right there. read more

This one of my least favorite Publixes in the metro area. The selection is great, however, they are SLOW...like molasses slow. They are always crowded and only have 2 or 3 aisles open. I've waited 20 minutes to check out on a normal day. It's like that EVERY SINGLE TIME I come here which is a least once a week. Also, the pharmacists here are moody and often won't let you check ANYTHING out even if you have a RX, other than the RX, which is NOT Publix policy. Well I started to shop here because of location. But I continue to shop because it's clean, people are friendly, produce is genuinely fresh (99.9% of the time) and if they don't have a brand or item you want they will look into ordering it. The bakery is always smiling and greeting children as they get a cookie. The recipe cards and stations make the store smell great and gives you a sense that you too could be a great cook. . Or a free sample to remind you what it should taste like. Prices seem a little high when compared to other grocery stores. However, service and cleanliness make up for it. read more

What a pleasure indeed! Located on a recently revitalized part of Veterans Memorial Hwy (remember the old Bankhead Hwy?), this Publix has a fresh feel and fresh faces. Definitely a higher caliber clientèle than the tired old location on Floyd Rd that's full of Mableton's finest. While you'll most certainly spend more on groceries shopping here and not at Kroger, you'll be so much more satisfied with the quality and selection available not to mention the service. There are supermarkets and then there's Publix! In some ways they remind me of the old Harris-Teeter from back n the day, very clean, well lit and the best friggin deli in a supermarket I've experienced. Publix stores have obviously made a name for itself and does stand a cut above. The pricing throughout their stores can be somewhat expensive at times and on certain items but they also have good deals too. Their meats are fresh, the cashiers and check-out areas are neat and most of the employees are quite friendly and helpful! Back to the deli though,which is my favorite bragging point of these stores, Publix deli is like WOW! Fresh meats, veggies and creativeness that either they can recommend or you can show your own creativity. If I have one small complaint, its their sub rolls, sometimes they can be hard and I prefer softer, but they also offer "mountain bread". I had never heard of that until I started shopping there. The ladies and gents at the deil work hard to meet your satisfaction while preparing your sub to perfection. I think they should have a tip cup sitting nearby:-) I dare say that Publix subs can stand up to Subway any day of the week. I also like their bakery goods.They have a cookie called "Calypso Crunch". Trust me, once you taste this cookie, you will be craving it forever. Each time I serve a friend these cookies, they practically beg for more! Check those out too! Always great service, the store is always clean and well lit. I like how they stay on top of keeping the restrooms clean. The red box can suck at times not taking my codes but I suppose it's nothing publix can do about it. All of the departments meet my expectations. Some times you have to remind the deli people to change their gloves which irritates the hell out of me!! That's why I'm giving 4 out of 5 stars. The meat dept employees are helpful and knowledgeable. The seafood dept is stellar! The bakery dept is friendly and will have no problem helping you gain weight by helping you picking out goodies! Lol publix has the best birthday cakes!!! I think they are better than some of the bakeries I've gone to that specialize in custom cakes. I love celebrating loved ones birthdays and getting cakes from publix, my favorite is the white cake, strawberry filling, and cream cheese icing. Submitted an online deli order for an office party a week in advance. When I arrived at the store, they had lost the order & I was blamed for the mishap since I did not also call in my online order. When I reported to management, I only got a canned email response that they would talk to the their staff. However, this did not resolved the stress that they caused with my incomplete order nor my delayed / stale meal for an office party. I will not be back to this Publix Deli. read more
