Korean Chicken, mashed sweet potatoes, and collard greens from the hot bar. Deelish!!
    Steve A.

I love Goodness Grocery and the folks who work there. Always accommodating. I'm not the biggest health food aficionado nor homeopathic healing seeker but I dabble in the proven teas & supplements. So why do I go there 2-3 times a week? The hot bar! The hot bar is the Vinings area's best kept lunch secret! The menu really doesn't change much and it's not a huge selection, but it's all delicious and quick! ...and they make it good for you. Done deal. PROTEINS: Korean chicken, meatballs, stewed meats, tofu VEGETABLES: collard greens, Asian style cabbage, mashed sweet potatoes, chili'd garbonza beans, and more! But wait... then there's the fresh drinks/shakes, and cooked to order entrees and sandwiches. Give them a try!

Every single time I've came in here, the people that work here are so kind and are so welcoming. I love coming here to grab lunch. The food is so filling and clean tasting. It's such a warm place to sit down and eat and relax. You can pick up some groceries here too & they have some great healthy choices. I loveeeeeeee this place! I'll definitely keep coming & tell other people about it!

Thank goodness for this grocery store! Located in the Highlands of West Village shopping center, you'll find this gem of a grocer. They have a huge selection of vitamins and health aids, tons of health centric grocery items and most of the products I spotted were organic, vegan, and/or non-gmo so you can feel good about what you're buying. When you walk in you'll notice it's not the modern shopping experience. There's no greeter, no high beam lighting, snazzy signage or high tech cash register. This is a mom and pop shop by definition, but their selection is robust AF. From frozen cauliflower crust pizza to a bottle of vitamin C capsules, your healthy journey is heading in the right direction if your path leads you here. As other reviews have mentioned, they have a clutch cafe in the store. It's nice to have a healthier option when looking for lunch around here! I personally enjoy the smoothies. You present to the counter, use an expo marker to make your selections of fruit, liquid and addl add-ins. They whip it up real quick and you're in and out for under $7. Yummy!

Goodness Grocery is your one-stop shop of all things organic, healthy, natural, and whatever else hippy things you need. They sell groceries, pills, vitamins, powders, oils (including snake), tinctures, elixirs, and anything else you can think of that is related to health. They even have their own water fountain to get your own purified, alkaline water. What's also interesting is that they seem to be a Christian company. They have Christian stuff all over their walls. You would think a place like this would be super-pagan, Earth goddess worshipping heathens. Nah, it's pretty churchy. Speaking of churchy, the people who work there are super nice. They are one of the nicest staff I've interacted with at any grocery store. Inside, they serve food. They have a Salad Bar, a Hot Bar, and a kitchen where you can order sandwiches or smoothies. As you'd expect, their food is supposed to be natural, healthy, organic, and other adjectives that makes you feel good inside. Their Food Court is totally legit. This was the best health-food I ever had. I tried their hot bar. They usually have 3 meats and about 6 vegetables you can choose from. I got 1 meat with 3 veggies. Man the lady must have liked me or something because she piled on the food! She gave me healthy scoops of the vegetables. The meat I got was Korean Spiced Chicken. The 3 veggies I got were Japchae, Curried Vegetables, and Tempe. They were all delicious. The Japchae was authentic and good. The Curried Vegetables had great flavor. And the Tempe had great texture and flavor. The chicken seemed like all white chicken that was juicy. And the spices gave it a nice flavor. What's up with the Korean food? They even have bulgogi on the menu. Well, the chef there is Ms. Su. She is Korean and she brings some authentic Korean recipes. So you can get some decent Korean food. That is pretty cool. You pay after you eat. It looks like it's on the honor system. They don't give you a ticket or anything. You just walk up to the cashier and tell them what you ate. Also, after you finish eating, just leave the plate on the table. Someone will come and clean it up. I thoroughly enjoyed eating the food here. It was delicious.

Salmon burger with a side of sweet potato fries

The cafe inside of Goodness Grocery was surprisingly really good. I ordered the salmon burger & sweet potato fries after reading several reviews raving about it. The reviews were right the burger was really good although I thought it was a little pricey at $9.99 for the sandwich only. The fries were also really good & didn't look like the traditional sweet potato fries, but they had a nice sweetness to them. I expected to get more fries especially since you have to pay for them separately.

What a cute little place! It's half natural, healthy grocery store with some fresh veggies and the other half is a cafe. You order and pay at cashier area. There's lots of organic options here. I was looking for something like this close to work since Sprouts and Whole Foods is too far for me to drive to for lunch. Goodness Grocery got me! Like all healthy, organic grocery stores, it is a bit pricier than your standard grocery store but prices are reasonable. I saw a lot of items that I've never seen or heard of. Gotta invest in your health. I ordered the veggie burger and Korean sweet potatoes fries. I was so excited to learn that it's the Asian kind cause it's my favorite. A few moments later, my order came out. Look at how big my veggie burger is. Drinks are around in the corner along with silverware and napkins. OMFG. One bite and I could taste the yumminess and freshness. The veggie burger is flavorful. I feel the spices were right. I feel the veggie burger is made with black beans. I prefer that to soy burgers. I like that even after several minutes The veggie burger was still hot in temperature. Sometimes when I order veggie burgers at other places, the veggie burger gets cold after a few minutes. Not at Goodness Grocery! The Korean sweet potatoes fries were grilled to perfection! I usually peel the skin when I make at home but the skin actually taste really good, it's crispy and complements the veggie burger and gives you that "fries" taste. Actually, I think it's pan fried just like the veggie burger but regardless it's delicious. I feel amazing after eating. The food is so delicious. Is it dinner yet? I dont feel food coma at all. I feel like walking 3 miles. 191/2017

Yum yum yum! This is my newest discovery for healthy lunch options near the office. Organic produce/goods and a hot bar/salad bar make for a perfect one stop shop during your lunch break or quick pick me up after work. Goodness grocery is a bit hard to find as it is tucked away in a mixed-use commercial space and apartment complex. Ambiance: Smaller than Whole Foods or Trader Joe's, but you can feel the neighborly homey-ness. The owner and workers are quick to greet you as you enter and ensure that you receive assistance. A simple chalkboard serves as a menu for the smoothies and hot bar and there is a seating area for you to enjoy your meal. Food: Ultimate favorite is the salmon BLT hands down. They use a light Cajun sauce and the salmon is a sizeable portion for only ~8$. The bun that they serve this sandwich on is whole wheat rather than plain white. I felt great about every ingredient they put on this delectable sammy. For your side, definitely order the sweet potato fries. I tend to shy away from fries since they usually are served sopping in grease, but these fries were barely fried, if at all. The kitchen uses korean sweet potatoes, which I personally prefer to the American variety. The wedges were cut thick, and the flavor was the right amount of sweet. I have also tried the turkey burger which is served similarly on a whole wheat bun. The sauce used for this burger is tomato-based. It was very good as well, but salmon BLT still ranks #1 in my books. Service: Both times I have been here, service has gone above and beyond my expectations. The workers greet me before I even approach the counter. Food comes out very quickly. Other things to note: though this grocery store is small, they have a wide variety of products. My coworker was able to find eco-friendly Seventh Generation Auto dishwashing packets, which she said she couldn't even find at Whole Foods.

Salmon BLT with sweet potato fries made of Korean sweet potato (cocoma for all you Koreans!!) - great dish.

This place reminds me of a mini WF or TJ's. Less distractions and more "small town" kind of feeling. It's great! Parking - They do have several spots, but Goodness Grocery shares the entire lot with like 8+ other shops. Lunch time may be rough. I personally come before or after a lunch rush, so I find spots easily. This entire shopping/eating area is really popular apparently. Inside - Just like a mini WF/TJ's; super cute place. They also have a big seating area for folks who want to eat in. If I lived nearby, I'd totally shop here for most of stuff. People are extremely nice. I've seen the owners + their kids running around. The kids are well behaved :D None of the 'kids are crazy' shenanigans. I think they even help around with getting food to customers. Adorable. Food: Their salad bar looks AMAZING. If you're a major salad lover, come here. They've got so many items and they all look fresh. Honestly, the salad bar looks better than WF/TJ's. But that might just be me. Goodness Grocery's looks cleaner and has more variables I feel like. Salmon BLT: Given in a generous portion. The Cajun taste is there, but not too much. The salmon is done just the right way. The bread they use is pretty good too. Each ingredients added went really well together. Sweet Potato Fries - If you're Korean, these are Cocoma. Reminded me of my childhood when my mom would buy 348334 Korean Potatoes and heat them up. MMM. Good times. Tasted delicious. Great side item. If you've never had Korean Potatoes, I highly recommend you try it out here. They give just enough to fill you up with your sandwich.

    Clean menu!

Perfect little privately owned health food store. The best feature is the small friendly staff. On most visits they take extra effort to get to know their customers and to educate them on the world of health. They offer a restaurant in the back with a variety of menu options. They also have a soup and salad bar for dine in and carry out. They sell all of the popular organic and clean brands, they even sell healthy snacks for my dog! Why eat bad when you can eat Goodness at Goodness Grocery! Try it. _______ 5/29/17 - After 2 years Goodness Grocery is still showing consistency. The food menu has remained the same and the salmon blt and turkey burger are still just as good today as they were 2 years ago. I also want to update this review to add that I have tried the Detox foot bath at least 3 times. As long as you can stomach the toxins that will appear in the water then you will feel so much better at the end of the foot bath. The color in the water tell which organs need work. Sue or Karen can help you with supplements and/or herbal remedies that are best for your specific detox maintenance. After tending to the organs that needed some extra work, I personally noticed significant cleansing effects. This is definitely a must go to Market!

On the morning of the day after Christmas I was in the mood for a healthy green smoothie. After calling a few places to no avail I called Goodness Grocery and they said they were open. I walked in and was pleasant surprised at this great health food store with an adjacent juice/smoothie bar. The woman that made my smoothie was extremely pleasant and helpful in explaining the ordering process. I ordered a Green smoothie with blueberries and bananas with a protein shot. I throughly enjoyed my smoothie and my visit to Goodness Grocery.

One of the main reasons I stopped in was for sea moss, and they had great options available. I also picked up some healthy snacks while I was there and was not disappointed at all. I was only visiting the area, but this is definitely a store I would return to. The only downside was timing. I wish I had more time to browse because I had to rush in and out as they were close to closing. Their hours are something to be mindful of if you want to take your time exploring everything they offer. Parking was very easy since they have their own lot connected to the store. Because it was midweek and close to closing time, it was not busy at all, which made for a calm and easy shopping experience. Overall, this is a great spot for anyone looking to support their wellness journey with quality, holistic products. I just wish I had more time there and will plan better next visit. As far as pricing point, I would say it is you know comparable to a Whole Foods or a sprouts so if you are more of a bargain shopper, this may not be ideal for you although some things were priced well like some of their skin care I felt like you know may have been definitely compared to like market value.
