I've always wondered what Lidl had going on in there so finally, I popped my head in to see what was up. This location is tucked on the road with so many other grocery stores, it can be so easy to pass them up. They have a huge parking lot so finding a spot is a breeze and when I visited, there were less than 6 other cars there with me. When I entered, the store was just as quiet as expected. I honestly don't think that I've ever seen a grocery store so quiet and well, empty. That's not a complaint either. I was able to easily roam through the aisles without issue, taking in each special feature. I had heard that the bakery was a huge deal and that was so true. The bakery shelves were stocked with international delights that you don't often see in traditional grocery stores such as pastel de nata and a variety of freshly baked bread. Did I forget to mention the bread slicer? Beyond the bakery, the rest of the store was as expected. It reminded me of Aldi, limited brand options vs. Publix, who may offer 10 brands of one singular product. I like that they narrow it down for you, but if you're brand loyal to specific products, you may find yourself going elsewhere for a few things. They also had two small aisles of random home/lifestyle items such as pots, clothing, toys, totally random stuff. I won't lie, I was confused lol. It was like a mini Ollie's but, I did find and purchase a food scale for my bf, so I'll call that a win lol. Since I didn't go in with a real grocery list in mind, I only walked out with a few things. Although it may not be my main grocery store going forward, I'm definitely going back and have even made my own lil Lidl rewards account. I'll be seeing that bakery again real soon! read more

German engineering does not translate to grocery stores. Takes forever to check out. Scanners never work, always a discrepancy or something that won't scan. To top it off, there are virtually no employees in the store to help you. You are better off going across the street to Kroger or Publix or Walmart or others. Just a terrible German inspired experience that doesn't work here. Won't go back, all of this crap to save 75 cents on a frozen pizza! No thanks! Produce sucks BTW read more

I love Lidl. Huge fan. This chain of grocery stores gets it done for me every time. Today, a bunch of stuff for the van as I continue my journey across the USA. I got cream, instant coffee, a tub of pimento cheese, some hard boiled eggs and a loaf of keto bread. Awesome. I also checked over the discount aisle for any left over Easter candy but it's definitely all gone now. As for the aisle of random stuff? This Lidl is located in the middle of the "grocery store row" in Mableton on Floyd Road. The good thing for them is they sit alone in their own space and really only share entry/exit with the next door Hardees. So, with that...parking is a breeze and should never be an issue! I am a Kroger faithful, but I find myself wondering into Lidl on occasion and honestly, I am not mad about it. The main staples that I always hit Lidl up for are the deli meats, frozen veggies, cheeses and fresh chicken (breast and ground). The deli meat, cheese and frozen veggies all have a great selection with things you don't find at the big box stores and they are priced really well! The fresh chicken is my go-to solely for price! My recent visit found the chicken breasts and ground chicken both priced at $1.99 per pound! While I am not a frequenter of the following section, folks love the bakery, fresh veggies and fruits sections. They still feature self serve bakery items, which in the current state of things creeps me out a bit, but other stores have the same thing, so nothing to single Lidl out for! While I do not come here for the fresh fruits/veggies, I do find their section of salads and other veggies to be great...I picked up some of the meatiest asparagus I have ever seen recently. They were made for the grill! Outside of food, Lidl is known for the bins of goods near the coolers/freezers that hold all kind of items from shoes to housewares, perfumes, gift sets, etc...honestly it is a hodgepodge, but always an adventure! Service is always hit and miss here. Usually miss if I am being honest, as the staff are never really helpful or friendly, especially the cashiers. It is never awful, but definitely missing something. Overall, Lidl is a solid option for alternative grocery trips. This location is always clean, well organized and stocked. I've been here once pre-pandemic and found my way back here for a quick shopping trip. I haven't been to many stores over the past few months but I must say that Lidl does a wonderful job making their guests feel safe. Just the fact that the store is absolutely huge and there's enough space for social distancing in between aisles and checkout lines. Outside there's a disinfecting station with instructions on how to sanitize carts before and after use along with disinfecting spray, paper towels, sanitizing wipes, and hand sanitizer. Upon entering, there's a board showing current capacity and shows green with "GO!" if you can enter along with the amount of people currently in the store. Everyone had a mask on and thankfully it was not crowded so there was social distancing happening which made me feel very comfortable. The aisle are huge and provide plenty of space for people to maneuver around. There are soooooo many things to choose from and I love that the prices are very reasonable and all the produce and fruits are super fresh. They have a wide variety of things, just a grocery store doe, but you just won't see much of the "name brand" stuff. They have a bakery with all sort of delicious looking items as soon as you walk in and I'm always tempted to try something butttt I always pivot right to pick some good fruit and veggies. The staff were friendly and while there was just one register open at the time, we were able to be quickly checked out with no issue. I was excited to see a new grocery store in town! I walked in and was pleasantly surprised how new and fresh this store looked. They seem to have a nice bakery section on your left as you walk in the store and a fresh salad/vegetable directly in front of you as you enter the store. Of course, I had to check out the store aisle by aisle and was pleasantly surprised to see Salmon and NY Strip steak on sale! Score! The Chicken Breast and Chicken Thighs were also nicely priced! Other items are more expensive than Aldi, and Lidl also have their own house brands like Aldi has. One difference from Aldi is that Lidl does sell beer and wine! SWEET! The Aldi in Mableton doesn't sell any beer or wine, unlike the Aldi in Hiram that does. Not if this has to do with the "Georgia Laws." Overall, I enjoyed shopping at Lidl. The employees are very friendly and are always willing to help. I give it 4 stars because they do have limited amount of items you can buy, so I'd still have to go to the neighboring Kroger or Publix to get a particular item that I do want. First things first, this is a bring your own bag or buy one type of store. Brown Paper Bags are 7¢ Reusable Bags are 99¢ Not providing free bags - downer. However, this is a good because they can pass on the savings to you, the consumer. So, overall it's still a WIN! There is a spacious parking lot to the front and side of the entrance. So, parking is not a problem. Even when it's busy. Take a cart from outside before you enter the store. There are none inside. Once inside, to the left of the entryway are the restrooms. Cozy to say the least, but cleanly. No worries there. Moving on... This building has huge glass windows in the front that let a lot of light in, which is a bonus. There are plants and fresh bakery items upfront when you first enter. And, always great everyday prices on the typical fare of eggs, milk, etc... You can always find a new and exciting assortment of frozen novelties and snacks toward the back right-hand corner of the store. Not to go without mention, the produce here is amazing! The store is spacious, well lit, extremely clean, and to top it off there is always staff nearby to help you if need be. There is cashier assisted checkout, as well as, self-checkout if that's your thing. Will I be back? Yes. And, have several times. Should you check it out? Yes, but if not more for me...lol read more

LIDL has become my favorite grocery store. I actually look forward to going, and I usually dread going to the grocery store. When you enter LIDL, you'll first see its bakery section. It has great croissants, bread, and Portuguese egg tarts. This is the only grocer I know that sells Portuguese egg tarts. If you like them and want to get your fix outside of a trip to Portugal- LIDL will take care of you. The produce section is across from the bakery. I love that it's kept very neat, and the produce looks fresh.The prices are fantastic. LIDL also has a great selection of cured meats and cheeses. I always visit in preparation for when I'm making charcuterie boards. Baking items are also really cheap here- walnuts, pecans, and baking chocolate are stash worthy. I stock up on them to have on hand in my pantry, especially in preparation for holiday baking. Eggs and milk are also very reasonable. Because of its great offerings, LIDL will definitely remain as my go-to grocer. read more

I love this location. The employees are very helpful, the line moves quickly and the store is always clean and well-stocked. Self checkout makes it possible to checkout quickly when you have just a couple items. Don't forget to bring your own reusable bags. My only issue is to really check your grapes. The Cotton Candy grapes are more expensive than the regular seedless green ones, but on both occasions I have purchased them here and though the pouch says "Grapery Cotton Candy Grapes" they taste like plain, regular green grapes. The level of sweetness is different and since I've purchased these consistently from Kroger or Publix (in the past...I no longer shop at Publix), I'm confident on the difference in taste and color. Came here yesterday for the first time ever, after months of being peppered by their advertising papers, and it was an interesting experience. All in all, it felt like Aldi and Ikea had a baby, and out came Lidl. Certain items are pleasantly, surprisingly cheap especially with all the claims of "free range", certified this and certified that ... some are good, some are kind of worrisome to me eg 65 cents for a dozen of eggs - I mean, how can that possibly be sustainable? I squint an eye and will be watching closely. Produce were fresh and cleanly organized. They carry some major food brands, but mostly are brands you may have never even heard about. All of this can be a good thing or a bad thing. We came in at the end of Sunday and certain non-perishable items in the back area were in disarray, but this may be due to the fact that we came late. The random items in the back ranged from wife beater tank tops to children's random toys to solar garden lights. I mean, it's a mish mosh of things. Just like Aldi, you pay extra for bagging, so make sure you bring your own or scavenge for some boxes in and around the store. There was only one cashier when we checked out so I'm not sure if this is just because it's at the end of the day, or they're always low on registers. All in all, I was pleasantly surprised. Come for the adorable little shopping carts that my toddler can use but then stay for the killer deals! While this grocery store won't have the wide variety of a super Kroger, they do have all the staples, fun European tidbits, and amazing discounts scattered throughout the store. I started visiting Lidl recently so that my kiddo could push her own cart and get some practical life experience (it's a Montessori thing) but then, speaking of... I found Montessori-inspired wooden toys, a 30% off immersion blender (leftover from holiday shopping deals, I assume), and 16oz of grassfed beef for under $2! I couldn't believe that beef price! I'm still getting familiar with all Lidl has to offer, but I already love having it be a part of my routine time with my kid. The staff is friendly, the store is clean, and parking is easy and close to the store. I shop in weekday mornings, and there are only a few people there. I really like the relaxed atmosphere, the lack of tabloids at the register, and I hear really great things about their pastry case items. read more

Customer Service: 5 stars: everyone is willing to help. Price point: 3 stars: some of the stuff there is reasonably priced. I would only come here for specific things but to do all my shopping here, you dont get much value. Quality: 3 stars: i bought the grass fed steaks, they were bogo free ($8) and more fat that acutal meat. I bought a pack of chicken thighs ($4) and it was enough for a family of 4 to have seconds. Do not buy the nacho cheese in the jar! It doesnt melt! It will actually burn up before it melts! I have pictures to proof it and i returned it with no problems. The salsas are bland and the corn chips are very salty, i think i will stick to publix on getting items mentioned. Their cookies in the plastic tray go stale after 1 day of opening, took those back too. I bought a pot from there and I love it, that was a good buy for $6 Cleanliness: 4 stars if you are going to offer people samples please have somewhere for them to throw to the sample cups away. It was annoying reaching for products being hit by sample cups or my kids making a game out of how many they found lol i dont like how the bakery is set up and i wished they offered a better way to retrieve your items. Overall its a nice store and i would return. They open at 7am i think and close at 10p. On 3/13 they are taking $10 off a purchase of $50. Always clean and bright. Decent produce area. Nice little Bakery. Usually have some kind of plants, herbs, bulbs, and flowers. Meat department quality is good, but watch out for the Pricing.... a lot of cuts advertised with a $5.99* for example. Thing is it is 10 oz steak, which equates to $9.58/ lb! Not such a good deal. Same with fish portions, etc. In the fine print they will give the price per oz. That is a red light for me...lol. They have some good buys, but if you are looking for low prices on beef, pork, etc. may want to go to Wayfield's (the meat people.) Anyway, Lidl does have plenty of positives. They had .74 cents/lb ham portions this week which is an outstanding deal. Unfortunately, they advertised $7.99/lb ribeye bone in roast... but got one case in, which was gone early am. Lidl! I love this place! I started coming here during the pandemic. Now I'm here every week! The bakery here is amazing! My favorites are the fresh baked cookies, croissants, and baguettes. I get a baguette or a pack of buttery croissants anytime I visit. They have really awesome weekly deals! You can't beat there meat prices. I've caught amazing deals on ny strip and ribeye steaks, chicken thighs, and salmon. I've bought bakeware: roasting pans, rolling pin, cake decorating kits, baking pans. This is where I got the kiddos winter coat and sleeping bag. You can find great deals on toys, housewares, clothes, food, and decor. The Lidl chocolate hazelnut spread tastes the same as Nutella at half the price. I'm not attached to brands but you'll also find discounts on name brand items too. For bonus savings down load the app! One of the things I don't like about Aldi is waiting in line and having a quarter for the cart. Here the cart is free and they have a self checkout for small quick purchases. I used to spend my Wednesdays at Aldi, but now I'm a Lidl lady. Aldi and Lidl are in the same family and it's super convenient having these 2 near each other. Check the ad and checkout Lidl, get there early to make sure you get the deal. If you don't see something on a shelf yet, ask a team member, they've always been great about helping me find what I need. read more

However, when my mom was checking out and asked a cashier if their lane was open for checkout, he said no (completely understandable) ; Another woman comes immediately after, and he checks her out with no problem. When I realized my local Aldi was currently under renovation, it made for a perfect excuse to finally check out the new Lidl location in Mableton. When I first arrived I was surprised by the exterior although I suppose I shouldn't have been since I knew Lidl is out of Germany. I will say that the exterior is super cool - clean, sleek design and super modern. And they have plenty of parking spots available. If you have visited the sister store Aldi you know that you have to put a quarter in in order to get a shopping cart. I had my quarter already pulled out of my purse and walked up to the shopping carts and realized, hey! I don't need one! Sweet! From the moment you walk in you feel like this is definitely a bit different than Aldi. When you walk in you feel like you're walking into a typical big box grocery store. As soon as you walk into this location you'll see produce directly in front of you and then a bakery to the left. That's right, I said a bakery! And I'll be darned if I didn't check this place out on a low-carb day which means I couldn't indulge myself in those chocolate croissants that seemed to be staring me right in the face! They had such a huge variety anything from loafs of sourdough to cookies to bagels to soft pretzels. *drools* I wanted everything in that section but I had to divert my eyes. So I walked over to the produce and saw a variety much bigger than what I'm used to seeing at Aldi! I picked up some sweet potatoes ($2.49/bag), bananas ($0.39/lb), spaghetti squash ($0.99/lb), avocados ($3.59/bag) and a pack of romaine hearts ($1.99). Walking down the aisles you'll notice that they have a lot of their house brands just like Aldi but I feel like I noticed less national brands here. They have a ton of snacks like chips, granola, mixed nuts, etc. including some gluten free items. It should be stated you can't come here looking for everything on your shopping list but it would behoove your wallet to try to find as many things as possible here versus a major grocery store! They do seem to put an emphasis on their beer and wine program. I didn't venture to try any of these (yet) but I will tell you that I was tempted. It's hard to say which ones are worth the expense since I'm so used to getting my wine for cheap from other retailers. Perhaps I'll take a jump of faith on my next visit and report back! And holy cow (and goat) the cheese section. I was shocked to see such a huge variety and will definitely be returning before I host any sort of party or need to build a mean charcuterie board. They also had a great selection of deli meats but I noticed they don't have a selection of "no nitrates or nitrites" (comparable to the never any brand found at Aldi). Everything seemed to have preservatives. In the middle of the store they have an excess of random retail sections. Anything from housewares to gardening tools, it seems like you can find anything in these junk bins. I didn't spend any time rummaging through them as I was here strictly for groceries but I suppose it's a great place to make some impulse buys. Bring your own bags or you'll be paying $.10 for each one that you have to utilize. Just remember to bring your own and do the earth a favor! As with all of these discount grocers customer service is not the number one focus, but I will say that as I walked the aisles the staff was friendly and said hello. When I was ready to check out there was only one checkout lane open. Even though I had to wait ~5 minutes, I thought they moved us through the checkout process quickly so I can't really complain. read more

I love this place. They have a bakery at the entrance full of fresh baked bread, cookies and other pastries. That's a set up! But they have a huge selection of fresh and frozen meats. The also have a large wine selection. The staff is also always friendly and helpful. read more

Customer service WAS good when they first opened but that went downhill really fast! Went in today to only one cashier open and that same cashier was on her headset talking about her Grandma's cooking and neckbones! She managed to ignore the lady in front of me and myself (both Hispanic) Did not greet me. Did not thank me for my purchase. Did give me attitude when I asked if the scanner recognized my Lidl app barcode. Did manage to continue her neckbones conversation throughout my entire checkout! This is the second incident of poor service at this location. The previous time I was there the worker stocking shelves had his pallet positioned in a way that blocked off the aisle. Will be making the drive to the Powder Springs location in hopes of better service/management. read more

This is a welcome new addition to the Mableton area supermarkets. For me, Lidl edges out Aldi for the convenience of not having to insert a coin for a cart. It's a small thing, but for the times I don't have a quarter on me, it makes life easy to be able to grab a cart and go. Once inside, it's a bright, clean store filled with many organic options at a pretty good price. Stroll the aisles and you might be surprised by some of the unique items or sales. I like this store; however, the checkout takes a long time and I frequently (like today) have only a few items so I go to the self checkout. Self-checkout is a misnomer at this store. If you ever have produce that has to be weighed, it scans the barcode but it will not weigh or allow you to proceed with the checkout unless a Lidl employee does something to complete the process. Today was the 3rd time this has happened to me. There is NO associate to help with the transaction. Every time this happens I have to leave my products and leave the store A WASTE OF MY TIME!!! Once you scan the produce and you have to wait for an associate you cant scan anything else you are STUCK. Unfortunately there are NO ASSOCIATES to help so DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME! read more

When I came in there were about 7 workers in front of the bakery talking no masks and as I waited one of the men that was talking started coughing and dint even cover his mouth. I like Lidl, although they don't carry a lot of name brand stuff, and the inventory changes kinda frequently. It's kinda cool if you like variety, but sometimes I'll go in to buy something I like again and find out they don't have it anymore. They always have the basic staples, though. I like their seafood and produce. They could stand to man a few more registers, but overall, I'm glad they came to Mableton. As long as they maintain good quality, keep friendly staff, and keep the store and property looking nice, I will keep choosing them over the other nearby grocery stores. read more

I want to start out by saying I really don't write very many reviews I should do more but I don't but this just frustrated me to no end. I have given this store being open now and visiting several times and still I'm disappointed. The products are pretty good the prices are average and the location is perfect to my house, but they have the worst staffing problem I have seen in a grocery store you can never find anyone to help you except the cashier who is so busy she can't even look up. I like to go through self check out I do it in every store I can and I have been in the store at least 10 times and EVERY SINGLE TIME I have an issue. Either the terminal messes up or the item won't scan or you can't put the number in, and no one is manning the self check out you have to wait for a cashier to have a break in ringing up other people to help you out. When they do finally look up they look at you and see the light is flashing and they just turn it off then the light comes back on and no one comes over to say is there a problem can I help you with something they just turn the light off again, so you're still stuck with the same problem that you had before. I spoke to a manager last weekend specifically about this problem and he said oh we will take care of it it's a training issue we will make sure that doesn't happen again. Well, I was in there today and guess what same thing AGAIN. I am sitting in my car in the parking lot I couldn't even wait to get home did to write this review it's ridiculous. This store is clean and almost all staff is knowledgeable and friendly! With the exception of manager Lola I've had two encounters around her that leave a sour taste in my mouth. First time my wife asked her a question and she seemed bothered and irritated that we even approached her and didn't have much knowledge about what they carried. Brushed it off as the rest of the staff was great but second time I came in she was yelling at staff on the floor again really rude but didn't surprise me this time. I had to ask a staff who she was because I've never seen a name tag and I was informed that she's unfortunately a manager. I'd give 5 stars always if I never had to interact with her. Prices at the store are great, produce selections are always good and the store always looks nice! Love the candy section! read more
