Service: 97% out of 100 Grocery pickup: Smooth and timely Preorder my groceries, pull up to pick up & it's very few times that my order is wrong. To which I was surprised as the store is located across the street from renovated dealerships & with the nearest store is in Douglassville, about 10 miles away. PickUp Service Review: I participated in a homeless campaign and ordered blankets, female & male kits. A part of the order was sent to this location for pickup. I followed the signs to the pick up area only to be surprised by a product elevator & pickup lockers. The machine has an easy screen to scan the order code. Unfortunately my items were not in the machine and so I had to wait for assistance. I waited a while then went for help. Shod brought my items and explained the delay and why the machine wasn't in use because if the size of my items. He was friendly, professional and helpful. I actually used to prefer this Walmart store to the Concourse Pkwy store because it was easier to find things within the store and they at least seemed to at one time to care a little more about its customers. They USED to have at least two to four registers open for customers. NOT ANY MORE! Recently this store also was remodeled so that made it difficult to shop in the store! Coud find hardl anything in the store, shelves were empty & other parts of the store were just cluttered! Not sure why it seems that only Walmart stores are ALWAYS remodeling it's stores! No other grocer does so much remodeling as Walmart stores! A total inconvenience for the customers. They should probably shut it's stores a few days while remodeling. Not a chance, their too greedy & don't want to miss out on business, yet it's OK to incovenicne the customers! This past Friday evening around 8pm or after there was only ONE cashier line open while there was a long line down the middle of the store with everyone in front of me with full shopping carts. ONE cashier. After standing in line for 20 min. in a line that was not moving, I asked a Walmart worker passing by if she could ask customer svc. to open another register. Her respons? " I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO TELL YOU". She kept walking away, & never tried to assist. Just a don't bother me attitude!! I was so shocked that an employee could be so rude & talk to a customer who was reaching out for help! Still shocked by that. Another passed by asked for help to open another register. She went over to cust. svc who had several employees just standing around doing nothing! Apparantly they told her NO! No one ever opened another register! That kind of trifling NO CARE IGNORANT attitude is just shocking to me! And it appears that this store too is now not any better than the Concourse Pkwy. store with NO AVAILABLE CASHIERS! To have only ONE cashier working with a full store of people on a Friday night at that early hour is just so reckless of the management there! It was not even 9pm yet only ONE person checking out all of us which took forever! Customers passing by observed the long line & we could hear the angry comments regrding long line & only ONE cashier! My suggestiion to Walmart as a long long time customer: IF YOU CANNOT GET DECENT RESPECTFUL EMPLOYEES AT YOUR STORES, IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO HIRE CASHIERS TO CHECK OUT THE CUSTOMERS THEN WHY IN THE HELL DON'T YOU JUST SHUT THE STORES DOWN! I have not been to a WalMart in years. Decided to give it a try again since grocery store has gotten so expensive. I went on a Sunday morning- early, thinking I might beat the rush. What a mistake. I think I probably saved SOME money but check out was a nightmare. About half the self check out were closed and backed up - of course. Not to mention that doing more than a few items in a tiny self checkout is a pain. I go to the only cashier in the place. He's got several people in line and I can see why. This guy is the absolute slowest person I have ever seen. Additionally he appears to be high. And then the lady in front of me has two carts stacked high with groceries. As she checks out, she's having the cashier pull expensive items out and stack to the side. When it comes time to pay, I see why... she's got an EBT card -not just one but two. Now don't get me wrong - I understand people need help but she's spent more money than I can afford and now she's digging through bags look for stuff to remove. She removes of all things- $50 in lobster. Are you kidding me? Cashier is clueless about getting this off the bill. We wait and wait for a manager At this point I am ready to abandon my cart and go back to my regular grocery store. Manager finally arrived and got resolved. My turn - and now the manager realizes the ridiculous line and calls someone to open another checkout. It took cashier another 15 minutes to get me checked out. I know, I know that retail fraud is a big thing these days, but dammit, I hate it when retailers treat me like I'm one of these frauders. I bought one of those portable heaters about a three weeks or so ago to warm up and extra room. Well everytime I go to plug the darn thing it, it wipes out all the power in my house...so I decided to return it. I go into this Walmart, as the thing has been in my back seat for about two weeks and I figure...return it...and use the credit to buy tissue, soap etc that I need anyways. I finally make it to the customer service counter. (Why do they only have one person manning the customer service desk at any Walmart I've ever been to...and there are 20 people in line to return, refund, price adjust etc)....when the clerk tells me...Uh.....u have to have the manual. Huh. She then goes on to say....u are tryin to return this and we cant get a credit for it with the manufacture without the manual. I explain...that I bought it....I threw the box and manual away, as heck...I didnt plan to have to return it, she then says to me...well thats too bad....u are going to have to keep it. No...I'm not...I have my receipt..and I want to speak to the manger. So...I digress to say...they would not accept the heater back without the manual. The lady kept telling me to put my card in and the machine kept canceling me and I kept trying to explain to her that it was not taking it and she kept telling me to put my card in. NO Ma'am! I recently move near this area so this is my closest Walmart. It Sucks, I mean REALLY SUCKS! My son and I went in there around 9:30 on a Thursday night to do some grocery shopping and could not believe the service that we received. Everyone that we came in contact with had on earbuds. Tiara was working in the produce department and had clean out the area where the green onions were, well I asked her if she could go get me a green onion since she had taken the food to the back to clean the area.... she was talking to some one through her earbuds and stared me down for maybe 30 seconds before she walked away to the back to get the green onions. It took her a while to come back with them...still on her phone with her one earbud in her ear. I had every intention of calling a supervisor the next morning but I forgot. The same night I ran into Meghan in the house ware area and I asked her about getting a copy of a key made, she also had earbuds in and asked me to repeat myself twice before telling me I could use the kiosk up front, I walked away shaking my head. While going through the check out, I ran into a young lady with no name tag, but she was at register 10 on Thursday night 5/17/2018, she also had on earbuds and having a full blown conversation on the phone while checking me out..... at this point my son was tickle pink, saying " this is what we do mom" because I get on to him daily about repeating myself because he has on earbud 24/7. Well this is Walmart, I pay good money, to be exactly 157.48 that night shopping there and I would like better service. I continued to ask my cashier questions and talk to her so she finally told whomever she was talking to she will call them back and right in front of me she pull her earbuds out of her ears and her phone out of her pocket, laid it down in front of her and proceeded to ring up the grocery, disappoint with the entire visit I left this Walmart with no intentions to return again. Customer service via phone is non existent at this location - phone rings 15 times and then call is terminated. I have been calling for 3 days. Ran in Walmart really quickly for a few items. Walmart is always that spot you can run in and try to run out, but thats never the case for me. They had the rubbermaid 36 set for $5! Couldn't beat that price, I started to get 2 sets but I realize I didn't have the space at the house. The lines were not long so we were able to get right out. I feel like some people give a low rating just because it's Walmart, but that isn't what this is about... When you go to Walmart, you are going for the low prices, wide variety, and bulk items. You shouldn't expect Publix/Costco service level from Walmart. However, I would like it to be moderately clean inside, and I would like to feel safe - at least during daylight hours - when I am there. This Walmart location offers neither of those. I would advise you to drive the extra 15 minutes to either Austell, Douglasville, or Hiram for a better experience. read more

I came to this store on May 26th of 2017 Memorial Day weekend to get an oil change and tire rotation. When I pulled into the bay I was told by the technician after telling him what I was there for "I'm the only technician here so I can do the oil change but the tire rotation will take 2 hours because I'm the only one here". Fine so I said do the oil change because I'm driving out of town as soon as you finish. I go out of town and on the 6th of June I was messing with the buttons on my dashboard checking to see what my oil level was at. Well to my surprise it's at 40%?!?! WTH. I just got an oil change on the 26th of May. I called the store to at least speak with someone was on hold then was told that the Store Manager and the Assistant Manager was gone for the day. So I proceeded to call Corporate to express to them what the heck happened. I was told by Corporate that my complaint would be sent to the store and I would get a response within 3 business days. I did receive a call from the store but whomever called from the store didn't leave a message!! I then called the store on Monday June 12th and once again the store manager and assistant manager was not at the store. I called again on June 13th and was told to call back at 12 bc the assistant manager Toni would be in. I call back as directed to do finally spoke with Toni and proceeded to tell him what has happened up until the point I'm speaking with him. He stated "come back to have your car looked at because I think your car wasn't reset & speak with the manager of the Lube dept. Dexter." Well call the store location on June 16th spoke with Regina in the Lube Dept. about me coming in on Saturday June 17th to have my car looked at or serviced again and to write a note for the morning crew to see. Well I arrived at 6:45 (opens at 7) and when I get questioned why am I here I go into explaining the situation yet again. Well listening to me talk the rep Bonnie looks at my paperwork and the clerk that's helping me and says yeah just reset her car. I think not so I turns around and speak with the clerk who was assisting me and tell him nope you guys gone do my oil change and my tire rotation because first my oil wasn't done right on the 26th of May 2nd I bought the life time warranty for rotation & balance from Walmart so I want that dime to since I didn't get it done on the 26th. The clerk then proceeded to put in my requests and states okay they gone have to reset your oil and put some more oil in your car because what you have stated is correct it doesn't look like it was reset when you came in on the 26th of May. I'm like duh I know that that's why I'm here because I need my car serviced correctly because I paid for it and I have pictures as well as my receipts and the date and time of all the people I have spoke with prior to coming back in. Was justice done?! Let's see if it was done right the first time then I wouldn't be back to have a repeat of services FYI Dexter the manager in the Lube department is the technician who initially did my oil change!!!! read more

Many years ago this was one of the nicest Walmart stores in Atlanta. I can remember stopping here about 3 years ago at 2 or 3 AM and I thought WTF happened? This place is not so nice any more. First off, I don't think I'd ever give ANY Wally-World 5 stars, so 3 stars is close to "as good as it gets" in my eyes. And for just about any store on Thornton Road, the clientele can often make you want to rip your hair out...or whip out a camera to capture the ridiculousness of human kind in a snapshot...or both (I swear they get many of those "Only At Walmart" photos from this location). I try to come here when it's as slow as possible (usually Sunday morning works, or if you have the flexibility, any weekday morning around 8 a.m. is deserted). I generally don't mind this branch because a) well, it's a Walmart, you can find anything under the sun that you might need, b) it's convenient to my house and c) I genuinely like the Auto Center. The Auto Center is a plus because I feel like they actually care. I've been asked questions to confirm a low tire. After an oil change, the rep went over the entire receipt to explain what was done and how all my vehicle's fluid levels looked, etc. Makes you feel like you're actually getting something worthwhile. Bonus, this one has a McyD's inside (what good ol' American doesn't want a Big Mac while shopping for overly-processed foods?! -- seriously though, it's nice if you're waiting on an oil change and are in the mood for an Egg McMuffin) AND 3 Redbox machines outside. I can empathize with Diedre R.'s review of trying to return an item. At any given Wally-World Customer Service Center, there is ALWAYS a line and there are always problems. I loathe having to return anything (but have done it before). My only advice would be, again, to try and catch them at an "off" time so it's theoretically less busy. Sometimes you get lucky. Also, I didn't know Wally-World even had high return-policy standards (like, keeping your original packaging, who does that?!) so that's good to know. read more

This SHOUT-OUT is to Winston, an employee at the Thornton Road location, and the store manager lucky enough to have him as an associate. On Wednesday, November 10, 2021, I visited this Walmart location with the primary purpose of buying several frozen turkeys that I had found there and purchased on another occasion. I could not find the product. I asked Winston, the employee in the meat department for help and he graciously took time to make several trips into the frozen food locker and found what I was looking for and even sized the items to my preference. I stopped here on my way home from work and I admit I am jealous. The parking lot was, as usual, a mad house. It is Walmart after all. However you notice the difference when you walk in. The aisles/walkways are larger, it is fully stocked and well organized and the employees are decent. I mean the ones we interacted with were helpful, it was amazing to see Walmart employees working without an attitude. The lady at the self checkout was very helpful and kept running from customer to customer to assist. She wasnt rude, and scoff at our simple request. Kudos! If I could leave a negative number review I would. I went to get an oil change and technician failed to replace my cap causing oil to leaking. My car started smoking and when I called I got placed on hold multiple times being told that the manager was on lunch and to call back in a hour or two. I will never get an oil changed here again. Horrible customer service experience with an Associate name Jennifer in the electronics department. She spoke condescending to another associate and me. Jennifer yelled over another customer to us. Very disturbing behavior. She interjected herself into an intereaction and transaction between myself and another employee. I witnessed her unprofessional behavior. Even after, I asked her leave my presence she wanted to stay there to argue with me and raising her voice. Two other employees were encourage her to leave, then eventually trying to take her away to stop her from continuing to provoke the situation. She refused to leave. Upon arriving at Wal-Mart on yesterday, 2/11/14, we were in need of a handicap accessible basket because my sister had just had surgery, could not walk around the store yet, none were available. I approach Ms. Juanita who I assumed to be a greeter and although she looked for one, she could not find one, I went on about my business yet still looking. About 5-7 minutes later I returned to the area to find that Ms. Juanita went outside in the rain and found me the handicap accessible basket, wiped it down and put plastic over it to further ensure that my sister would not get wet. I came in early on a Monday seen they were working on a car I parked waiting for someone to come out to my car like they normally do to ask if I needed help.. wrong! Lol I sat for an hour damn near. I was asked to back up so they could move a truck , I did then sat STILL! Lol finally they are done working on the truck on some tires this guy comes up says you need soMething? Like yes wtf I'm not just sitting here because I have nothing else to do, I needed a back passenger tire.. he proceeded to say oh I thought you were waiting on someone,, um yeah YOU! Oh we only go by appointment. Smh I'm like you literally could've told me that when you seen me initially pull up and walks away. I went here only bc it was conveniently close. I left and went to the Walmart on east west connector in Austell, the gummy came up and helped me immediately and set me up for an appointment right then and there on his iPad. I was literally only there 30mins and was in and out . Should've came there instead of this shitty place. Don't get a job if you don't want to work. If you need automotive service do NOT go here. I bought a set of 4 new tires in January. I went in July to have them rotated and that's when the nightmare began. They told me that couldn't rotate my tires because I was missing a lug nut. I go buy a lug nut and come back and they say you are missing 3 lug nuts. I told them if they are missing they must have lost them because nobody touches my tires since they put them on new in January. I spoke with the automotive manager Tabatha. She was very unprofessional but told me to go buy the 3 lug nuts and she would reimburse me. I got the about a week later and called her and she said "refresh my memory, I don't remember talking to you". Went there a total of 3 times before I could get my tires rotated. It took over a month for me to get reimbursed for the lug nuts I bought. Two days after the rotation I get on the highway and my car starts shaking all over. I called Walmart corporate for the 3rd time about the tires because I wanted documentation of what was going on. They told me to go back a have them balance the tires. Went back and ask why didn't they balance the tires at the time of the rotation and they told me that is a separate service form the rotation and I didn't ask for it when I asked for the rotation. I ask how would I as a consumer know to ask for that. According to their price list the and done together (see attached photo). Spoke with another manager Mike and told him I was told the wait was 3 hours to get the tires balanced. I told him this has been going on since July and it is now September and I cannot wait 3 hours for something that should have done already. Mike sad there are cars ahead of you and the work on a first come first serve. It didn't matter that I was there the day before and had to leave after waiting an hour. Twice in one week my online grocery order to this store was canceled -- over $700 of groceries! I've complained to corporate (I called the store and they won't answer the phone) and let them know how much this store manager is costing the company by not being able to complete orders for pickup due to a "manpower shortage." This is unacceptable! Whoever is doing the scheduling should be fired and someone brought in who can make sure there is enough personnel on hand to fill orders. I can only imagine how much revenue is being lost due to this store's inability to fill orders. Corporate has assured me that they will look into this and act accordingly. Time is money for me and I run a company. I don't have time to physically shop so I use the online service and send someone to pick up my groceries. I've also lost time on the phone being shuffled from person to person to file a complaint. I will find another grocery store to spend my money with since Walmart is cavalierly canceling orders. read more

I use to be a fan of walmart bc of it's one stop shop nature- and the prices- but when I moved to Lithia Springs this became the closest walmart. Now, I hate shopping at walmart. There is hardly anytime during the day that this walmart isnt crowded. I have gone a various times and on various days of the week and it is always a crowd. Most times there arent enough lanes open so there is almost always a long line. The store is usually clean and I have never come across any expired goods like I have at other grocery stores. Neverthess, I try to limit my trips to walmart to no more than 2 a month (although I try to keep it at 1)... I'd rather go to Publix, Kroger, or Target. I will, however, say that this isnt the absolute worst Walmart. I have been to another that is about 20 minutes away and it is definitely worse because of the ratchet customers (The Thornton Rd WM always has a mix (ratchet, older, conservative, etc.) of its customer base whereas the other that I speak of typically has young ratchet customers.
