Every single item so far needs assistance
    Brooke G.

The new camera system at self check out (along with barricades) are so bad and frankly offensive. The orientation they have these installed in do nothing to aid in loss prevention as from that angle, unless the customer deliberately stops to scan each item by tapping and pausing again (rather than swiping) it looks as though they are stealing. I've been here twice since this addition and the first time I got stopped 7 times and the second time 3. Each time the system pauses until the person in that location comes and checks it out. It adds SO MUCH TIME! Half the time the person isn't even there. It's unbelievable. They need to have at least 2 if not 3 people at each check out now because this is ridiculous. Also the barrier they added to each is cumbersome and crests even more backup in that space. This was a bad Kroger before, and now it's an obnoxious one. I think this may be the final mail in my coffin as a Kroger shopper while living in this area. Other options within a block of this store: Publix, Aldi, and Lidil. There is a Walmart about 2 miles away and a Target with grocery about 4 miles away. Go to one of them.

This Kroger is located on Floyd Road in the heart of all things up and coming in Mableton. In addition to the store, this location does feature the gas station as well. This Kroger is starting to become my go-to in the area, and I live by the large Kroger on South Cobb, but still drive out of my way to hit this location mainly for one reason...product availability! They always seem to be really good with keeping their shelves stocked. The only issue I have come across is Sunday's can be a light day for fresh produce/veggies, I am guessing that truck doesn't hit on the weekends. The rest of the store, I have never come looking for something and not walked out with it, even on those busy days, like the day before Thanksgiving, when all other neighboring Kroger's are out of exactly what you need, this location always seems to come in clutch! To keep all those items, this Kroger is decent size, not the largest, but they used their space wisely and laid it out well. In addition to the normal and expected "counters" such as the deli and bakery, this location also features a sushi counter that makes fresh sushi throughout the day. They also have a sub sandwich counter at the deli, they are no Pub Subs, but they are decent priced for a decent sandwich when in need. A few things that are less exciting about this particular location are the service and cleanliness. I have never really experienced very friendly service here, not from the counter staff, stock clerks or the cashiers. The staff is pretty unpleasant to deal with honestly. Cleanliness wise, they could do better. There always seems to be stuff strewn across the floor throughout the store and the restrooms don't seem to be cleaned on a regular basis. If you aren't maneuvering your cart around debris in the aisles, then you are trying not to touch the handles in the restrooms. Overall, a Kroger is a Kroger for the most part. While this location has it's areas of improvement, it is still a solid store in a good location that will remain on my "go-to" list!

Definitely don't like bolts in my food
    Shon I.

On 08/16/2019, I purchased "Kroger® Original Party Mix" from the Kroger in Mableton Crossing. I've been eating the trail mix all weekend with my 2 small children (5 and 2). When I got to work this morning, I went in to my sandwich bag filled with the mix and I came across a bolt in my hand. This could have been swallowed by me or my family and caused serious injury. I imagine that if the bolt was in the trail mix, that there is likely a defective machine missing a bolt(s) in the factory. I also have a hard time stomaching the pathogens that were likely on the bolt. I've had several complaints with Kroger regarding bugs being in the cheese and fine food refrigerator only to come across this incident again. I hope that this issue can be investigated thoroughly. After I spoke with a manager by the name of Mark Mason, who was very helpful, he stated that they take these issues to the manufacture of the products to investigate. I find this to be an issue with Quality Control and improper vetting of companies that service Kroger.

Twice in the past week I have shopped this Kroger and both times the attendant behind theDeli counter had a mask on with her nose hanging out. I see this all the time at Kroger but the person behind the Deli counter breathes directly on the open food. Both times I asked for the manager and told them about it. They may correct the person but they CLEARLY don't care as it happens all of the time. I call this Kroger the Covid Kroger. During the pandemic we have to take precautions to keep it from spreading. Eat food from the Deli at your own risk! As an update I went back and I am posting pics to show you the workers in the Deli who stand over uncovered food are putting us at RISK!

Wasn't a fan of this Kroger, not the most clean or a good selection of items. Fruit & vegetable selection wasn't the best.

This location is tucked on the road with so many other grocery stores, it can be so easy to pass them up. They have a huge parking lot so finding a spot is a breeze and when I visited, there were less than 6 other cars there with me. When I entered, the store was just as quiet as expected. I honestly don't think that I've ever seen a grocery store so quiet and well, empty. That's not a complaint either. I was able to easily roam through the aisles without issue, taking in each special feature. I had heard that the bakery was a huge deal and that was so true. The bakery shelves were stocked with international delights that you don't often see in traditional grocery stores such as pastel de nata and a variety of freshly baked bread. Did I forget to mention the bread slicer? Beyond the bakery, the rest of the store was as expected. It reminded me of Aldi, limited brand options vs. Publix, who may offer 10 brands of one singular product. I like that they narrow it down for you, but if you're brand loyal to specific products, you may find yourself going elsewhere for a few things. They also had two small aisles of random home/lifestyle items such as pots, clothing, toys, totally random stuff. I won't lie, I was confused lol. It was like a mini Ollie's but, I did find and purchase a food scale for my bf, so I'll call that a win lol. Since I didn't go in with a real grocery list in mind, I only walked out with a few things. Although it may not be my main grocery store going forward, I'm definitely going back and have even made my own lil Lidl rewards account. I'll be seeing that bakery again real soon!
