This store is getting out into the sticks, but it seemed to be bigger than the others in the area. It was quite substantial, but I didn't see anything special to be worth the trip. For stuff I actually wanted, the Publixes closer to Augusta were comparable in selection. I found some decent stuff here, not quite as much on sale as I'd hoped, and there were a few specialty items that I wanted that weren't here. But checkout was easy enough and for basic groceries this place will certainly get the job done. read more

I already love love love Publix, but this is my favorite Publix store EVAHHHHH. When I walked in, it was like "ahhhhhh". This store is so clean it looks like you can eat off the floor. Their selection of products is AMAZING. The staff are friendly and super super helpful. And there are the other things that make Publix a wonderful store - the bakery (I've even flown from Texas to Georgia just for that wonderfully delicious buttercream), the deli, the meat department, and their selection of ready-to-go foods like salads and iced tea. My only complaint (and this is not about this store, but Publix in general) - I really hate that you stopped making cheesesteaks on the grill, and that some of the cakes are now made in a facility instead of in the store. The cheesesteak in the "convection oven" just isn't the same. It just tastes like a warm roast beef sandwich. Publix is a little more pricey that other grocery stores, but it's often worth it. I didn't want to spend a bunch of money on a cake for my sons birthday so I went to see what Publix had to offer. The staff was very helpful with helping me place my order and picking out colors and flavors of the cake. When it was time for pick up, it was ready on time and the staff asked if I needed anything else's. The customer service is amazing. The party was a success and everyone loved the cake. Since the beginning of the pandemic, I have purchased from time to time items out of stock at other stores at Publix through Instacart. The reason why I have been using Instacart to get Publix products is to get contactless delivery. As stated within the Instacart application, their prices are higher than when goods are purchased in person at the store. Pre-COVID-19, I used to buy a few items (Great Grains cereals, fancy dark chocolate, brown rice, dried black beans, etc.) there from time to time, but never used them as my primary store. read more

Publix has THE best ready to eat fruit! HANDS DOWN! Find them bowled up or in a ready to eat parfait in the produce section. California rolls are $5 on Wednesday's. It truly is a pleasure shopping at Publix! The workers greet you wherever you are in the store and they actually notice YOU as the shopper, the consumer! Music, atmosphere is always pleasant and never overly crowded. There's even a senior citizen recognition! Prices are fair but the quality is even more amazing. This is the best grocery store in the area and worth going the extra few minutes to shop. Being from Florida I am a fan of Publix anyway and they've yet to disappoint. They have great deals, are clean, have a wide variety of fresh produce and meats and the absolute friendliest employees!! When I was walking in I was carrying my four month old in my infant carrier and my three year old was being a tad difficult due to no nap. The woman tending to the carts immediately grabbed a car cart upon seeing us and wiped it down for our use, she was very kind. When we entered the store we were greeted with smiles. I stopped by the deli to get cheese and was promptly greeted and told they would be with me in a moment, when the line reached me the gentleman helping was extremely friendly and helpful. After helping he made sure there was nothing else we needed and we went on our way. Several times when walking through the store I was stopped and asked if I needed help finding anything, which I didn't but I definitely appreciated!! My husband ordered the prettiest birthday cake for me from this bakery . It was delicious and beautiful !! So pretty and old fashioned with pastel colors . It was not a cheap looking and tasting sheet cake with unsightly colors or weird art . I loved it with superb writing and floral decorations . It was such a great surprise! He got me the round two tier with lots of roses done in pinks white and mint green . They do a great job. Also the nice caucasian lady put lots of icing on my sweet rolls to make them extra yummy. She is very nice and attentive and the best worker there besides the lady who decorated my cake. She is the go to person if you want a real answer or service .Now I go back often to get sweets because of her. Oh and the apple pies are great and I don't even usually eat apple pie ! They put them on sale sometimes and wow they are great warmed in the microwave for 40 seconds or so. Go to the bakery when the real staff are there , After hours the other lady from the wing and hot food area covers for the bakery but she gives poor responses to my questions and tells me she doesn't know or to come back during the day. This saved me a lot of money because i ended up not ordering a 45 dollar graduation cake because she acted too lazy to check for a price. I baked for the celebration. On a prior celebration the same lady would not readily give me information on sandwiches . She takes long breaths and mumbled as though she was bothered by my inquiry . Instead of giving me info she answered with few words so I would have to ask every tiny detail. I gave up and got food to go from elsewhere . I did get wings because a young nice boy helped me and cooked them so I could get more flavors . I love this bakery although the one lady employee seems like she is passive aggressive in providing information and service in general. Why have her cover the area when she obviously hates doing so and she conveys the wrong impression to customers. The other sandwich people are nice and the sandwiches are the best . This store is smaller than some of the giant supermarkets but has everything I want or need. Employees (even managers) are constantly pulling product to the front of the shelves. They have a large selection of "northern" items like Albanese gummies etc which is nice. The employees are always seemingly friendly and pleasant. I'll say there are few drawbacks such as the price of some items (including store brands) like bread and milk is higher than other places but the quality is high on everything. The baggers are always polite and more than happy to help you with your cart; however one of the largest frustrations is you either get the cheap plastic bags that seemingly become almost one item per bag or when I bring bags or ask for paper bags they pile everything in one single bag so I end up having to strategically load the belt with my items. Very recently I needed a cupcake pull a part for a party and the bakery staff was very helpful, accommodating to the minor changes I wanted, and knocked it out perfectly. To me this is the best mainstream grocery in the area and I've switched to them from the two Evans area Krogers. read more

We really only come here to get sandwiches. I feel like they're kinda hit or miss. We like to order the sandwiches online so they're ready for us to pickup when we stop by, usually they're ready for us once we arrive, and still nice and hot. They're also huge for a pretty decent price. Our most recent visit wasn't as great. We ordered our sandwiches online (as usual), got there 20 minutes later only to have to wait an extra 30 minutes. They had a few people ordering and were making their sandwiches while our order just sat there. It was extremely frustrating because the whole point of ordering online is to not have to wait for someone who just walked in. Also we ordered our sandwiches 20 minutes before these people anyway. They literally didn't start making our sandwiches until we asked them if they were ready yet. read more

I spend most of my money here. I love this place - plus it's very close to where I live. They have everything you need for a wide variety of eating occasions. Their wine and beer selection rivals Woodys - and their prices may be better. They have a great deli where you can get slightly overpriced - but delicious sandwiches. It's a great alternative to Subway. Their bakery is amazing. We ordered an ice cream cake for my daughters birthday. Delicious. Again - a bit pricey but I will gladly pay for convenience. They have a fresh seafood section, a knowledgeable butcher, a great selection of fresh fruits and veggies. They also tend to have a lot of BOGO sales which is great. All of their staff is friendly and helpful. They always insist on helping you carry out your wares and sometimes you almost have to beat them back. I see this level of service as a good thing. Normally you have to put a mirror in front of the bagger's face in other places to see if they are breathing. The one downside I see is they don't have a club card like most other places. They have an electronic coupon "thingy" attributed to your telephone number. You have to go online and select the coupons you want on your account. When you go through the line, you enter your telephone number into their card swiping device. Overall - I love this place. It has the feel of a family grocery store. read more

You can wind up paying a little more here than some other grocery chains, but this particular Publix has always struck me as the perfect balance between your run-of-the-mill groceries and the pricier places like Whole Foods, Earth Fare, and such. The store is always clean and stocked, they have a great variety of food, and the staff is always friendly. They go out of their way to be helpful, and I've yet to run into a worker who wasn't great interacting with the kids. You're robbing yourself of a wonderful experience if you don't try the chicken tenders and fried chicken from their kitchen. Most definitely some of the best I've ever tasted. Their bakery has the usual options for a supermarket bakery - doughnuts, cakes, pastries, etc. - if your sweet tooth strikes, but none of their treats have really ever blown us away. We are from Florida and we know seafood, and are pretty critical. This Publix is off the beaten path which means you avoid the heavy holiday traffic, and they were friendly with excellent attention to detail. Typical Publix with the usual quality and deals especially BOGO free which are mostly the same items rotated. Service is pretty good and check-out quick. What prompted my review is their bakery/bread. The main reason I go to Publix is because they are generally the only place in the South you can get decent bread. OK if you've never been up north you may not know the difference but if you do then you disdain the overcooked dough they sell in Kroger and other places. So Publix usually has passable bread. Not this store. They are in overcooked dough land. Something wrong with your oven? Just leave it in there another minute or two. Yesterday I picked up a French bread it literally folded over in my hand. Please fix this, you are my most convenient Publix. read more

This is the BEST Publix in Evans, GA. I've been shopping here for several years. The store is clean, well stocked, shelves are very organized, it's not too cold or too hot, during peak times the lines are not long due to proper staffing. If there's an unexpected rush they immediately open more lanes. Excellent all around customer service. Many of the employees know me by name and always smile and go out of their way to speak to me. The employees I'm not familiar with always greet me with a smile and a hello. The managers are professional and take customer service seriously. If there is a problem they want to know about it and it is promptly handled. A great place to shop. I highly recommend it. read more

Clean, new store. Very nice. Good selection of fresh front and veggies along with all the other Publix regulars like the deli and bakery. Right in a strip mall with other good businesses including a liquor store, barber shop, subway, Asian restaurant, a salon, dry cleaners and an ice cream shop. Definitely worth the trip. I expected the cupcakes to be baked fresh as I have ordered custom cupcakes before and it was delicious but the cupcakes I received this time taste very dry and old like they pulled them out the freezer.
