Unfortunately after shopping at Publix for 10+ years I encountered my very first rude and unpleasant interaction with an employee. I've always chose Publix because I absolutely love the environment and the people that work there. They always make my shopping experience amazing. Teresa or terecia couldn't quite catch her name I was shopping for hair products and food before going off to work my 12 hour day and she tells me I can't smell or "test"any of the hair products.. honestly I thought as long as I wasn't opening anything that was sealed or using up the product and not purchasing that it was okay. If you are a woman and use hair products you know we-always go for the smell test. After she sees me smell it and put it back, immediately tells me not to do that? Other people have to purchase it. Other people... like me??? Is my money not green too? Then I walked away very upset and she proceeded to keep talking as I walked away. Thank you Terecia for making the start of my day terrible! I don't appreciate the customer service. Publix @ 250 citrus ridge- you've lost my business and word of mouth goes very far. Unfortunately this experience will always stand out for me and my family and I will not be be shopping with you anymore. Hopefully Mrs Terecia doesn't get a chance to ruin another persons day. Thank you for the manager that assured me that he'd speak to her. Hopefully her day turns around and she doesn't feel like she has to harass HAPPY customers and ruin theirs. There are items I can only find at Publix. So when I heard that one was opening up I had to check. Sure enough- Tequila Lime Chicken Wings, Litehouse Jalepeno Ranch, and the Publix deli is just bomb.... Its kinda far for me, but I don't mind the drive every once and a while to get what I like and great service! read more

There are a few that work there that have a pleasant personality. It seems that they never have the prescription they have to order it. It seems to me if the doctor prescribed something and it needed to be ordered, the pharmacy could at least give you a courtesy call so you don't have to park and make a trip just to be told to come back. Cvs is so much more convenient and they have a great friendly crew. Even the pharmacist is nice. Publix is just okay. They just don't make me want to come back. I feel like it's a bother. read more

Well I don't understand why people wanted a Publix when there is a Harris Tetter next door. They do have wide aisles, a decent selection of foods etc, but their prices are way to high for just good customer service. You want a great selection with better prices, go across the street to Harris Teeter. read more

This is the best Publix I've ever been to. I stopped in today for a quick grocery and one of the men working in the produce department brought my daughter a balloon when she was starting to get fussy. I wasn't able to find a specific fruit and he literally walked me over to the item rather than just pointing me in the general direction. Then I grabbed the wrong item for one of their deals and the cashier gave me the deal anyway! That's unheard of. There's more. I went out to the car by myself (I was asked if I wanted assistance out to my car but I declined) and after putting the groceries in the car I was looking around for the cart return and a manager of the store comes up to me and takes my cart for me. The best customer service I've ever received and not just from one person, but from every single person that I came into contact with. I love this place! read more

Went to pick up a birthday cake and some party supplies. The staff was very helpful in the bakery and during check out. They even helped me to the car and to load my groceries in the car. Also, the cake was absolutely amazing! I will certainly be getting future cakes from there! read more

This store is really nice and the people who work there are just as nice. They have a great variety of items and the store also has convenient parking. After being discharged from out patient surgery, Publix in Groveland was the closest place to fill my medication. There were three people working behind the counter. It took several minutes to be recognized and greeted. Seeing the bandages from the hospital the technician , Elaine said the fastest she could get 40 pills counted out would be 45 minutes. ELAINE had no empathy and was down right rude. I will never shop at this Publix again. People in customer facing roles should exhibit some degree of empathy and compassion. She needs to find a job that doesn't involve helping people. read more

I am very please at the arrival of publix. The staff is for th most part outgoing and helpful. The fish counter and meat counter staff go above and beyond in there help and can be counted on for almost anything! The produce is fresh and always well stocked. The variety of items throughout the store is excellent. Their bakery has great stuff. The deli meat department is a huge area of improvement. The staff is inefficient and exceptionally slow they need serious improvement here. In addition they always seem to have to go get from the back cooler the simplest of items like roast beef. The checkout is fast and very helpful as is the walkout cart service which is great with two kids. read more

Worst Publix experience of my life! I truly did not think that this store chain had the capability of having grouchy employees. Boy was I wrong! We stood for nearly 15 minutes at the deli for subs - even though it was far past lunch tume. When it was our turn in line the staff were rude and snippy, despite our several attempts to offer light interactions and jokes. Then we got to the register and every single register is at least 4-6 customers deep. The express lane only had 3 customers, but obviously there was no enforcement of the 10 items or less policy for the express lane, because the lady in front of us had 22 items. Then when it was our turn, we had 2 sub combos on the belt. The cashier insisted on charging us for 2 combos and then also charging us for the chips and sandwiches separately. When we brought it to her attention, she voided 1 item and got snippy with us about voiding the other items she incorrectly charged is for. Wasn't worth the hassle since we were in a rush, but I definitely would not frequent this store. They have a lot to learn to hold up the Public standard. This location was a disgrace! read more

I shopped at the Publix in Florida and fell in love with them. I was excited about one here in North Carolina. I went today and was very disappointed. The chicken was bland and the groceries are so much higher than other places here. Their customer service is great but the overall experience did not quite get it. read more

There is some good and bad points here. Okay where do I start first of all the parking lot is on a slope so what does this mean it means shopping cart for rolling your car needs people swing their door open and open your doors so we parked far away pushed a car up the hill to get to the grocery store and we met with crowds of people no matter where we stood or where we went with either bumped into people or in the way the aisles were narrow but the place was extremely clean and to be expected as it's new most of the employees that will work in the counters were exceptionally nice the food looks very fresh so we are very happy about that the prices we're okay not extremely high but definitely not cheap put fresh food that is to be expected. check out oh gosh what can I say they have two full service checkout lines that's right this huge store has two checkout lines I guess they want you to do it yourself or you're just in there for a couple things because there were two express lines the people who bag your groceries seems a little creepy we wanted to back around and it was almost like it was a sin sorry but we spending $400 with the groceries in I think I will pack it because on this side of the cashier the product is mine so I should decide on how it's handled so that's about it consensus is from some friends they still prefer Harris Teeter but I think this place it would be a good day visit during the week maybe at 2 in the morning when you can get down the aisles without being in someone's way. So check it out you might like it probably be okay if it's not so crowded so it's Saturday afternoon absolutely the worst time to go grocery shopping so may have skewed my review of it. read more

Coming from Florida, I know the Publix Market very well, I Also know the Publix Sabor market as well. The stores are immaculate the people are trained the right way and have respect for the customers! The deli is always on point with their fresh Boars Head Brands and yes Publix also carries great brands as well. There are a couple of minor details that I would like to address. Please don't call your bread Cuban Bread because it's not!! I'm Cuban Italian and your bread is certainly not Cuban! The wrapper looks like the real deal but nope not the bread! Last but not least, you do not carry a Cuban Ethnic section. Where is my Malta, Materva, and Ironbeer?? Pero helllllo!!! people lets get with it and bring it in! Did I say last but not least? I have one more important point, you folks carry Croquetas of ham but you don't carry the chicken Croquetas! Can you say "CROQUETAS"??? Lol they are deeeelish and yes the chicken ones taste better! The good: They have some produce that you otherwise need to go to a Hispanic or Asian market to find. They also have a great assortment of hard to find drinks...including Moxie. The fish counter looks nice and the fish appears fresh. The bad: Way overpriced, for most things. Produce was mildly overpriced. Kefir was overpriced. Drinks were overpriced...I saw drinks that were about a dollar more expensive than Harris Teeter (and Harris Teeter isn't usually the cheapest). I got something from the olive bar, and when weighing it at self checkout, the person assisting in checkout told me to select "no container", thinking it would then not charge me for the container...I tried to explain that you have to select the appropriate container so it can reduce it's measurement by the container's weight, but she insisted that I was incorrect. I ignored her...but if they are telling people to do that, then people are being charged inappropriately, and they need to discuss this with their employees. read more

I am a fan of Publix from out of state so I was excited to hear they were coming to the area. I waited a little while before going due to the crowds. The store is large and the selection is extensive. The bakery and produce is wonderful. Although the deli offers one of the widest Boar's Head selections I have seen, the staff needs to get it together. This area is the biggest hold up. They don't know what to do next or who to help. It took too long to get my deli items. The meat section is good. I was looking for some steak and was able to speak to a butcher quickly. When I inquired they were in the process of refilling with freshly cut filets. People say that Publix is more expensive - some items may be more than Harris Teeter but others are less. No matter where I shop I need to know my prices and understand quality (sometimes you get what you pay for). I look forward to other businesses moving into the complex as well. read more
