We hadn't been to this branch for a few years, but our local one was closed for renovations. It seems like a larger store than usual. They have sanitizer wipe station near the front door for wiping off your cart, but you either have to get your cart first uncleared, or walk over and get a wipe before getting your cart. And on hot days, sometimes that fist wipe is dry. Aldi's encourages masks and distancing, but people are people, which is why you need to wear yours. A lot of customers don't notice the one-way aisles as well. Oddly enough, the maskless people follow the distance, so maybe they dislike people as much as they do masks. But back to the store itself. I have no complaints there. Most of the shelves were well stocked and the checkout went fast. They have their own wipes and are supposed to wipe down the cart in front of yours that you will end up with after the purchase. read more

I love this Aldis. I save so much money. I can fill a cart with groceries at Aldi's and spend $130. The same full cart of food would cost $230 at Publix. Sure they do not have the variety that Publix has but how many tortilla chip brands do I need? How many chicken noodle soup brands do I need? What I love about the simplicity of Aldi's is that I get one option for food but it's usually a good quality and in the end I save a lot of money. It's easy to get in and out. I don't mind bagging my groceries. Whatever little item I can't find here I just pickup at Publix on the way home. But I do 90% of my food shopping here. read more

I have been going to this location off and on for years. I was there a lot more often before the remodel and now there is a location closer to me that I usually frequent. On this particular day I was in the area and stopped in for some things I needed. I was disappointed as their refrigeration was down so there was virtually no access to anything refrigerated or Frozen and I totally understand that this was beyond their control. It did limit me to buy an only a few items though. What really let me down is that while most other stores that handle groceries are still disinfecting their shopping carts between uses Aldi has decided to leave it up to each individual customer and only offers a station with wipes and hand sanitizer for the customers. I have experienced this at 3 different locations now. I do love the produce that they carry and they have products that I can get cheaper from them or can I find other places. As I can get a bit more safety from other stores I'm not going to these stores as often until some type of a treatment or cure is developed for covid-19. Also at this location when you check out they give you a different shopping cart which has not been disinfected at all when you are finished shopping. read more

Fruits and veggies are always fresh and extremely reasonable priced. Huge cheese selection and meat section including organic. Aldi's always carries the cheapest fruit, dairy products,and fresh and frozen vegetables. They also sell the best/cheapest wet cat food (33 cents/large can). That said, I always go to the Walmart down the street for meat (it's cheaper) and frozen food or bread products (much larger selection). This store is great for people who want quality food at a reasonable price. Their prices are good and accessible for most people and I truly believe that everyone should be eating quality food, including organic. Eating a vegetarian diet like myself, I find many options here at a reasonable price, compared to other stores like Target, Wal-Mart, Publix etc. You cannot get the prices you can afford at those stores. I believe that this tactic is intentional for ALDI as they do want people to be healthy and live their best lives through buying quality food and allowing access for low-income families to feed them the best they can, without it being a frozen dinner. Typically I love this store. I always find what I want, and sometimes stuff I'm not even looking for but is pretty awesome so I get it anyway. Most of the time the service is very friendly and helpful. That was not the case tonight. The cashier that checked me out was rude and obviously in a bad mood, and not very considerate of the items that I was buying. I was raised in Lakeland & have been a Publix shopper my whole life...until finally giving Aldi a try that is. My husband & I focus on living a healthy lifestyle and love the healthy selections from the Fit & Active brand, cheap chicken & turkey products, yummy produce, I even like their frozen vegetable selection for a quick meal. Our shopping trips go much quicker at Aldi with less clutter & aisles to walk up & down. The only downsides are they don't always have everything in stock. I find the squash & zucchini are rarely available so we usually stop at Publix on the way home & get the remaining items we couldn't get at Aldi. I also love/hate the seasonal items or the items they only have until their gone. I fell in love with the ravioli filled with quinoa & chicken. I could eat it every day & they had it in stock for months & then it vanished & I haven't been able to find it again. Heartbreaking. read more

This is actually a tale of two Aldis. I am a huge fan of Aldi because of their intelligent business model and the way they provide value for a hard earned dollar. That said, not every Aldi experience is the same. Some make you feel like you are in a retailor who cares. Others make you feel like you are a cheapskate among cheapskates because of their inconsistent professional approach. I have the good fortune to live just inside the east Lake County border between Clermont and Winter Garden, FL. While the Aldi in Clermont is closer to me, I cannot say it is my Aldi of choice. It is often cluttered and out of stock, especially with produce. The staff isn't terrible but they are typically indifferent to customers. As an example, I have gone there and separated out groceries to pay for two separate orders. The cashier just threw everything together in the cart after she rang it up so that I had to separate everything out again. It's not the worst offense in the world, but just shows a lack of attention to customer detail that makes the Aldi in Winter Garden my preference. Very seldom have I not been able to find what I wanted and Winter Garden. Also that staff is very conscientious about making sure that customers get through their cashier lines as quickly as possible. Somehow in Clermont I always seem to find the cashier who is going to close just as I walk up. When push comes to show if I didn't have a choice, I would shop at the Aldi in Clermont if there were no other option. However, it feels more like a Save A Lot experience serving a completely different customer base than the cutting-edge German retailer who also owns Trader Joe's. The extra 10 minutes it takes to drive to Winter Garden is certainly worth it. read more

The low prices at Aldi are hard to beat. The remodel has helped a lot with being able to navigate throughout the store although the carts remain on the large side. As someone who stops in for a few items, I'd like it if they offered baskets to carry items. We buy mostly produce here and are grateful to see the increase in organic. I wish they had allocated even more space for the fresh produce because that is always crowded. Checkout is always busy but cashiers are fast and accurate. It would be nice to have a quick lane because we usually buy a small amount, but that probably wouldn't make sense for the store. read more

The grand opening of an updated Aldi opened today in Clermont. It was very clean, however, I couldn't help but notice some of staple items I buy there have gone up in price( like the sleeve of 85/15 meat in freezer section went from $2.89 to $3.29) . I was not liking that my normal shopping bill at Aldi went from around $50 to around $65. If i wanted to blow my money I would have gone to Walmart and bought actual name brand products.
